SWF 2013: The End of the Supreme Brand

A Foreword by the Author

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Nemesis_zps3382fb6e.png

As a wrestler, I was loved and hated. The fans in the back shouted my name, blood on my fingers, staring into the crowd in a packed coliseum, blood encrusted under my fingernails of the wrestler I had just destroyed.

As a person, I am despised and praised. The founder of many wrestling promotions, hailed as a messiah, vanishing for long periods, with crowds of unwashed, drunken hardcore fans begging for my return to the arena.

I am the soul of wrestling. The glass stuck in my fingers after slamming some poor soul into a light tube is a relic capable of causing hair to grow upon parts of your body previously bare.

And now, thanks to that exile, I have made my return, to bring back the Glory days of wrestling. I own the largest company in the business. I, John Campbell, am here to restore faith in our country's greatest institution: Wrestling.

I will not rest until that has been accomplished.

<p>How We Got Here, Chapter One</p><p> </p><p>

A lot of wrestling fans postulated on where I went after I retired. Some thought I was going to India. Some thought I was headed to Japan. Some thought I was doing drugs in some dumpster with Mark Dubois.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Nemesis_zps3382fb6e.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

One of those answers was correct. There was something else I was doing. I was repaying a debtor making sure he paid back all he owed. </p><p> </p><p>

Week 4, December, Tuesday [Outside the Eisen Mansion]</p><p>

Two cops dressed in blue and black knock loudly at the door.</p><p>

“Open up, Police!” screamed the two police officers. “We have a warrant for your arrest!” </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/RichardEisen_zpse8681d02.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“You black-ballin’ tax men won’t take my money!” slurred a familiar, drunken voice inside. “I’m Richard Eisen, the most powerful man in all the world of professional wrestling….”</p><p>

His voice slurs. The familiar, loud voice of the SWF owner is muffled by the slamming of the door.</p><p>

The wooden door busts open. “You tax men are just tryin’ to keep the good *hic* man down” says Richard Eisen. He is swigging a shot of whiskey and orange juice with dainty ice cubes melting. </p><p>

“When in the hell did you cop people start prosecuting Rich folks like me? Shouldn’t you be in some back alley prosecuting Mark Dubois?” questioned the man. “And where did you get the information for that paper piece you are holding?”</p><p>

“Sir, we informed you of your arrest. You have the right to remain silent.”</p><p>

“What about my right to an attorney?” slurred the drunken general manager. He can barely walk now. The once great leader moved drunkenly towards the cops.</p><p>

“I won’t go! Not unless you make me!” stated an infuriated Richard Eisen. “You can’t destroy me!”</p>

<p>How we got here, Chapter Two</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Week 1, Monday</strong></p><p>

<span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Nemesis_zps3382fb6e.png</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

I walked with strident care into the Ventura county jail. I was overjoyed, for the first time in years, to meet with Richard Eisen.</p><p>

He had not been expecting visitors. The police arranged the visit. It was the least they could do after the key testimony I provided them. </p><p>

I was hoping all went as planned. I entered the gray building and was directed towards a visitor’s room. Cameras, which wrack my nerves, were feeding our conversation back to the terminal. The cops heard every word. </p><p>

“Richie, Richie, how it’s going Richie.”</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/RichardEisen_zpse8681d02.png</span><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">The Old S.O.B., I was only happy because I was about to end his career like so many who dared to dance in the squared circle.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The old man, frazzled by the cameras around him, seemed to struggle to make a sentence. His eyes drifted towards me. I could feel the hatred seep out of his wanton eyes.</p><p>

“Nemesis, cut to the **** chase. You want something from me.”</p><p>

“How long they got you locked, Richie?” I stated curiously. His facial expressions startled me. It was as if I was the cops knocking down his mansion door.</p><p>

“They got me locked, a’ight, for two months. Now, what are you near a prison for?”</p><p>

“To repay your debts to the IRS, you need to sell your majority stake in SWF. It’s the only way to pay back good ol’ uncle Sam.”</p><p>

“If you want fair market value, there is one man who can purchase that share. Eric will retain his ownership stake so the family will partly control the company.“</p><p>

“I’m going to hear that one man is you, Nemisis, in a second! Out of that filthy mouth of yours! You snake!”</p><p>

“Those years haven’t dulled your wit, ol’ man Richie, have they?”</p><p>

They had not dulled Ol’ Richard Eisen’s wit one bit. He was right on target. I made the proposition.</p><p>

“Well, I have little choice in the matter. Go ahead, buy my stake. Jerry and Eric will still have considerable say in the matter.”</p><p>

He doesn’t trust me. Those years haven’t dulled ol’ Richard Eisen’s sharp mind at all.</p><p>

“Honor doing business with you, Richard. See you in a few months.”</p><p>

“Don’t get cocky. You may be in your late forties but you ain’t nothing but a baby-faced little boy to an Icon like me.”</p>

<p>Tuesday, Week 1</p><p> </p><p>

It turns out the roster wasn't full of has-beens, but many of the faces of SWF were soon to not be wrestling anymore. It seems half our main event was on the wrong side of forty. </p><p> </p><p>

My first goal was to develop a stable of younger stars. Ol' Man Richard may have surrounded himself with wrestlers who rivaled me in age, such as old Christian Faith, but his surplus of cash seems to have bought him some good young talent as well. </p><p> </p><p>

I planned the Card with this in mind. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>A NOTE ON PREDICTIONS</strong></p><p>

Each month, the poster who has predicted the highest percentage of correct predictions will get to create one match for The Master of Puppets PPV. The main event will be chosen by the poster who has the highest percentage of correct predictions on the game day of the PPV. You can A) choose the participants upon winning the prediction challenge or B) choose to wait until the PPV.</p>

Emma Chase managed to slip Huntingdon some brass knuckles. The rookie managed a second wind, fighting back against Valiant. SWF Hell Freezes Over, Part 1

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Logo_zpse8777a4d.png

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Vengance_zps343f93a3.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Christian_Faith_zps67ca79a3.png

Hoobastank’s classic “The Reason” strums across the loudspeaker. This song, performed in 2007, has become a sacred right for fans of the Living Legend. A promo video showing the great As the arena echoes with “The Reason is You!” Faith makes a triumphant entrance.

The music cuts right after the intro. The throbbing bass line to Vengance’s theme plays on the loud speakers. The fans, on cue, scream “BETRAYED” as Rich Kid’s on LSD’s Betrayed begins to blare through the loudspeakers. Vegance screams “There is a bullet in my head and in my heart!” syncing up with the music.

“Betrayed!” screams the rowdy crowd. The Supreme Wrestling Federation boasts large fanbases for both the superstars. They have defined the dramatic rise of Richard Eisen’s wrestling performance.

“Well, buddy, you’ve lived this long” states an angry Vengance “only because I’ve allowed you”. The avenging angel stares directly at Faith. “Faith, you old dirty man, you are a sinner. You’ve lived a life of glitz and glamour while those who live in the street go hungry.”

“You are living a ministry of entertainment! Fraud! And it is my job to put an end to you!” screams Vengeance.

“Prove it in the ring, old foe. I am the incarnation of the fan’s will upon this earth” yells a loud Christian Faith. The entire arena rings with his voice.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/JackBruce_zps91222975.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/DawnTheCheerleader_zpsb725517f.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Rogue_zps132f213c.png

Jack Bruce enters the ring. The rock star’s theme music rocks the arena. Dawn sells a swoon as the music blares “Sharp Dressed Man” that is heavenly.

“So, Jack, who are we facing today?” states Dawn. Jack starts his tough guy act. He sneers “a dastardly, bastardly, castrated, cat-like man with whiskers.”

“Does he hail from across the pond?” states Dawn, hinting at tonight’s opponent. “Yes. And he should have never arrived from there. I intend to correct this mistake. My fists are going to deport this foreigner all the way back to the 21st Century Promotions.”

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Nemesis_zps0de46cc4.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Marat_zpsc5564693.png

A black hooded figure, with a question mark in the middle, is projected to the middle of the screen. We can’t be sure who the man is. Slowly the black figure disintegrates into a character.

The pixels on the screen start to materialize as a man, cloaked in artificial darkness, moves upon the stage. The perfectly synced pictures sync exactly with the man entering the ring.

It’s John Campbell. Or, if you want to go by the name wrestling fans still fear, Nemesis.

“Welcome to a new era of Wrestling. For the fans. For the people. Supreme, over all else.”

An incensed Marat Khaklov enters the ring. His veins are bulging from his head. He lets out what appears to be either a roar or a yell. The behemoth steps over the ring and slams his fists into the mat.

“Welcome, one and all, to SUPREME wrestling!”

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/HeuyCannonball_zps0a08e9e7.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/jeffersonstardust_zps48a08d64.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/JoeSexy_zps985a38c4.png vs. http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Marat_zpsc5564693.png

The Awesomeness enters to Spose’s “I’m Awesome”. This marks a change in theme song. Huey gets the fans to cheer along to the chorus starting a slow chant of “I’m Awesome” in the arena. This has less to do with overness and more to do with the Awesomeness role as plucky, patriotic underdogs entering the squared circle.

Marat stares directly at the boys on account of their greasy teenage “swagger” or lack thereof.

Joe Sexy is physically stronger and more experienced than either manager of the Awesomeness. The young tag team is clearly the stronger link in this fight. Dawn the Cheerleader, the Awesomeness’ manager calmly instructs the young grapplers to utilize speed to tire out Marat Khaklov. Joe Sexy is thrown harshly down to the mat within at the 2 minute mark.

The two awesomeness brothers are forced to face off against the Russian giant on their own. They fluster the Russian giant initially. He lands several solid hits on both young team members. Huey and Jefferson seemed to frustrate the Giant. Marat absorbed the blows effortlessly. Five minutes he landed a lariat upon Huey knocking him out. The Giant pinned his opponent gloating above his lifeless body.

Jefferson took the chance to position himself on the top ropes. He flew off the ropes blindsiding the Giant with a daring maneuver. The hit blindsided Marat knocking the giant down to the ground with a thump. If it didn’t inflict pain upon Marat he did a hell of a job selling it. Jefferson managed a one-count before the Giant pushed him off. He took the time to sell the move to the crowd for a few seconds as the Giant regained his footing.

An incensed giant was ready to pound the daylights out of Jefferson. He sneered at the rookie. It gave Jefferson Stardust time to prepare for the coming hit.

Jefferson was obliterated by the Russian Legend Powerbomb.

Finishing Move: Marat Khaklov with the Russian Legend Power Bomb at 6:24.

Grade B-

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/RandyBumfhole_zpse1ae0ef0.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/ZimmyBumfhole_zps0b79efb0.png

The Bumfholes themselves had no idea what opponent they would face at When Hell Freezes Over. They entered the ring to the customary theme music: Hellogoodbye “Here In Your Arms”. Zimmy and Randy had the crowd captivated as if they were in love with two equally awkward losers. The ring went silent as smoke poured in from the port entrance.

“Alright you three, this is your last chance, don’t screw it up!” blares from the loudspeakers. The fans are confused. This is not a theme song. The screens light up with the opening to the music video of MXPX’s Responsibility spliced with cameos of the entering wrestlers.

Squeaky McClean tried to get the crowd amped with a “Responsibility, What’s That?” chant but it failed miserably.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/PaulHuntingdon_zps27d54eaf.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SqueekyMcClean_zpscac92aaa.png

The tag team of Squeaky McClean and Paul Huntingdon, known as “Executive Decision” had arrived. Upon entrance to the ring it was clear that Huntingdon and McClean were in for a subpar performance. Zimmy and Randy dominated a one-side match.

The Bumfholes dominated throughout the match. They singled out Huntingdon pinning him at the 7:41 mark. Emma Chases’ handpicked team was uninspiring.

The two teams are near identical matches physically. The stipulation was that the wrestlers were paired to opponents with Dog Collars. These were decided by draw. Jungle Lord was chained to American Machine. Des Davids was chained to Captain Atomic. Jungle Lord and Des Davids were the deciding factors. The brawl heavy nature of the match and the close quarters of the match gave them heavy advantage over their chained opponents. Jungle Lord proceeded to unleash a fury of hard blows on American Machine. Dean Ansell took a savage beating. He tried to combat Jungle Lord with grappling maneuvers. Jungle Jack was more than a match for the wily Machine often reversing his offensive attempts.<p> Des Davids was far less dominant on Captain Atomic. Captain Atomic was larger than Des Davids. He was more experienced. Atomic used his capable brawling skills to outmaneuver Davids. He was able to even the match and take heavy blows from Davids. Des Davids did sell the blows dished out by Atom Smasher well. </p><p> Ten Minutes in, Jungle Lord smashed American Machine in the face, busting him open. Blood smeared the heavy makeup of the old-school grappler. Dean was taken aback but managed to kick out of Jungle Jacks’ pin attempt. Des Davids had his hands full with Captain Atomic. Captain Atomic was generating considerable offense through the use of the steel leash. Neither wrestler had a clear advantage. American Machine, in a desperate attempt to get back in the match, interlocked his chain with Des Davids. The Chains were tangled and Jungle Lord could not prevent being thrown to the ground by the momentum.</p><p> This maneuver allowed Des Davids and Jungle Lord to attack as a team. The match disintegrated into organized chaos after the brash maneuver by Ansell. Davids and Jack matched blows as swift rights from Davids saw Jungle Lord lose composure. Jungle Lord was able to regain his footing. He had years of experience over Davids and deftly took blows from the former running back. This saavy approach stalled any momentum Jack had lost from losing his footing.</p><p> American Machine, weak from the fight with Jungle Lord, was pushed around by Captain Atomic. Dean Ansell quickly realized he had little chance of fending off Atomic. The close quarters allowed Machine and Des Davids to work together. Around the twelve minute mark, The All-Americans joined as a cohesive team moving in close formation. The attacks focused initially on Jungle Lord. The experienced American Machine distracted Jungle Lord while Des Davids speared and then landed several punches on the fallen wrestler from Borneo. Machine, once Jungle Lord was down, tried to draw away Captain Atomic from Davids and Jack. Sadly he was restricted by the crossed, tangled chains, and Captain Atomic unleashed a battery on Machine. </p><p> Jungle Lord, in a feat of strength, threw off Desmond Davids, sending him towards the left side of the ring. He motioned for Captain Atomic to back off American Machine, who was bleeding profusely, in preparation for Jack to land the finisher. Jack floored Machine with a hard flurry of punches. Captain Atomic held back Desmond Davids so he couldn’t interfere. Garcia has ditched much of his outfit as a member of the blondes, instead wearing a pink regular getup. He is prepared for the fight of his career against fan-favorite Chris Morrisette better known as Lobster Warrior.<p> Lobster Warrior hypes the crowd. He shakes hands, signs an autograph, and encourages a cheer during his theme music, “Super Rad” by the Aqua Bats. He starts running in place, gaining momentum, before charging in to the ring at a predestined moment in the song, “All systems go as we step into the Octagon.” Lobbie slides under the ropes to meet against Flex Garcia. </p><p> The two combatants face off against one another in the circle. Chris Morrisette is clearly a better fighter than Frederique, and his sharp blows quickly put the former blonde on the defensive. Garcia takes a few more hard blows to his mug before he has to resort to trickery. The Referee, Shane Stones, is slipped a few dollars from Garcia, in a move obvious to the crowd in the arena. Shane takes the bribe and looks the other way as Fredrique exposes the turnbuckles and moves out of the ring. Chris Morissette follows his opponent ringside as a stunned crowd watches Garcia leap upon the announce table and grab color commentator Hannah’s microphone. “Flex, how could you?” states a distressed Hannah. “Baby, all is fair in love and war.” Lobbie tries to protect Flex, but his weight upon the table is too much, and the table collapses. Flex slams Chris Morsette’s head against the table sparking Peter Michaels to state “where in [hades] are Shane’s Stones?”. This long-held SWF gimmick of inattentive Shane Stones has decided many a match. </p><p> Flex slips a microphone underneath Lobster Warrior’s neck and pulls him up using the microphone. He uses the leverage to violently choke the masked warrior. Lobster Warrior sells the maneuvers well squirming as if he was fish. Flex Garcia stops once Lobster Warrior shows sign of physical pain. He throws the hero into the ring.</p><p> Lobster Warrior, while fatigued and a big hobbled, proceeds to put up a fight, several times knocking Flex off balance. It is clear that he is checked out of the match. Flex throws Lobbie towards the exposed turnbuckle then slams the forehead of Morrisette onto the top rung. If Chris Morrisette wasn’t in pain he sold this move very, very well. Flex Garcia hits a Romeo is Bleeding as the suddenly attentive Shane Stones turns around and proceeds to count to three. Lobster Warrior summons strength and kicks out simultaneously with the count of three, too late to prevent Shane Stones from announcing Garcia the victor. </p><p> <strong>Match Grade: C+</strong></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Singles Entrance + 1 v 1 Challenge Accepted" data-cite="Singles Entrance + 1 v 1 Challenge Accepted" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37072" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SteveFrehley_zps687b0fa3.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Steve Frehley enters to Onyx & Biohazard’s hit single “Slam” inciting noise and chants “Let the Boys Be Boys” and random loud noise chants. The song itself is hated about as much as Rich Money is. Rich Money has slated himself from Houston, Texas to pop the song. <p> “Steve, ol’ pal, you ready to rumble?” The Moneyman quips. Steve “The Destroyer” Frehley doesn’t respond. He sneers at his challenger. Frehley’s stamina is subpar. The key for the reigning champion is to knock out Rich Money quickly. Steve Frehley laid into the Moneyman with hard punch after hard punch. Rich Money, outweighed and outmuscled by his larger opponent, focused on dodging the frequent blows. Frehley was finally making an impact on Rich Money around the five minute mark. Rich left the ring, quickly, drawing the slower Frehley out with him. </p><p> Frehley continued to draw blows on Money. Money sold the hits well maintaining his balance. Frehley landed a sharp blow knocking Rich into a corner. The defending champion launched a number of punches onto his challenger. Rich managed to throw Steve Frehley off, reverse a punch, and use the heavyweights’ size against him, throwing Steve Frehley off the ropes and close lining him. Steve, exhausted by movement during the battle, took a second to get up. As he placed his right knee down and his left arm planted on the mat, Rich Money flew off the top rope with a Money In The Bank! Rich was going for the pin!</p><p> The Crowd refused to count. The referee counted 1.. 2… then Frehley kicked out! The near-pin incensed Frehley who began a vicious assault on the Moneyman. Rich Money again slid under the ropes with Steve neglecting to give chase. Steve hadn’t chosen this strategic move to defeat Money. He was distracted by a pale figure near the ring.</p><p> “It’s Vengeance! What is HE doing here?” stated a shocked Peter Michaels. Vengeance had won the #1 Contender spot at When Hell Freezes over. Skull DeBones glared directly at Frehley. Peter continued “he can’t be happy about his #1 contender spot throw aside!” Rich Money slipped back in the ring landing a spear on Frehley. The Moneyman tries again for the pin, but The Destroyer reverses the maneuver, sending Rich Money underneath the ropes. Steve tries to capitalize on his momentum exiting the Ring and trying to land an elbow on Rich Money’s hand. Money gathers the strength to move out of the way just in time for Steve Frehley to smash into the concrete. </p><p> The two champions, former champ Rich Money and current champ Steve Frehely, return to the ring at the fifteen minute mark. Steve is clearly exhausted. “Will the Dark Destroyer go down in flames? He’s running on fumes, Duane!” said Peter Michaels. Rich Money uses his superior speed to unleash a barrage of hard-hitting moves culminating with a vicious armbar which causes Frehley to experience intense pain. The champion manages to grab ahold of the rope forcing Rich Money to release. Steve begins again to raise himself up, placing a hand and a foot on the ground, before a “Clang” hits the back of his of head. </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Vengance_zps343f93a3.png</span><p> <span style="font-size:8px;"><em>Vengeance</em></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Vengeance just delivered a ferocious chair shot to the head of the Supreme Heavyweight Champion. </p><p> Rich had spent the last five seconds trying to convince the Ref that Vengeance was trying to interfere. They are earned through battle. If you want to be #1 Contender, you’ll have to dethrone me next week on Supreme TV!”</strong></p><p> Rich Money wins by disqualification. He will face Vengeance for the right to challenge Steve Frehley for the Supreme Heavyweight Championship at Nothing To Lose.</p><p> <strong>Match Rating: B</strong></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

<p><strong><span style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Prediction Contest Update</span></span></strong></p><p>

A minor change in the prediction contest. I meant to put this in the original post, but it was absent, and I needed to correct the error. Entrants need to predict 2 shows monthly including the PPV. </p><p> </p><p>

Qualified entrants have green names. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#2E8B57;">MidnightNick: 8/12</span></strong><strong> </strong><strong><span style="color:#FFA500;"><em>C</em></span></strong></p><p>

<strong>w4lru5: 5/7 </strong><strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;"> </span></strong><strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;"><span style="color:#FFA500;"><em>C</em></span></span></strong> </p><p>

<strong>Infinity King: 4/7 </strong><strong><em><span style="color:#F4A460;">C-</span></em></strong> </p><p> </p><p>

w4lru5 and Infinity King will qualify to choose a match at Master Of Puppets (parameters, grapplers, time, and winner/loser) if they predict Week 4. Otherwise, MidnightNick will win the contest.</p>
