Notes: these two don't seem to click.

Overall rating: 81

I'm amazed we pulled this off with a main event featuring two guys who don't click and what turned out to be our best match as the opener.

The post-show speech! Pointed out Kikkawa as a good example, complimented Magnum Kobe on a good performance, and praised Yasuhiko Taira for a great performance. All three were pleased.

Test of Prophecies got a buy rate of 1.60. This is unsurprisingly down from Fire Dream's 2.09.

In the aftermath, Miyamae, Sanda, Shibanumo, and Kawate all complained about being tired.

I'm surprised that Elemantal and Taira had to defend their respective championships twice in a week or something.

Bad luck on the Taira/Tadakuni bad chemistry but as you pointed out, not so bad a rating they pulled anyways.

INSPIRE with the tag belts - that is a good way to keep an ageing Kikkawa relevant and have him pass on some of his psychology skills to younger challengers as long as he can still go. In my experience time-decline only really starts to hurt in tag matches when the declining worker's stamina drops below the point where he is able to go 20 minutes (with "slow build" and "protect" notes).

Nakasawa and Horri both won their fights. I expect these to become the leaders of BHOTWG sooner or later. It will be interesting to see how they progress.

It's unfortunate that I can't fully trust him to be in the mains any more (and his stats are dropping pretty steadily, too), but he's still got some name value after I used him to put over a guy or two and I intend to keep him as a bigger version of modern day Tenzan and Kojima. Don't be shocked if this tag run lasts awhile, especially with one of our weaker spots being the heavyweight tag team division.

It might lack the history but in prestige it's similar considering how much Nakamura has been elevating it not to mention what Tanahashi will do. The Jr. Belt is basically midcard since only Devitt would be considered upper midcard and the lack of challengers hurt it greatly. (something which I try to rectify in my BHOTWG games by taking 3 or more jr. to main event.)

It wont happen until they beef up the junior division first and foremost. Both the singles and tag divisions are so dry.

How many times did we have Hooligans vs Time Splitters for the tag titles in 2013 for instance? They just need some more bodies for depth over everything else.

Assorted news before this show:

Paul Steadyfast bruised his sternum in an incident involving a bear.

Joshi wrestler Junko Hayakawa announced her impending retirement.

Elliot Thomas and Jeremie Courtney were cut by TCW. Combined, they went 1-16, with the only win being a very random victory by Courtney over Harry Allen at Just Another Day?

Before this tour show, The Incredible Koyama nearly started a fight with Greg Black after spreading rumors with the latter. Since my fatherly approach a month ago didn’t seem to have much of an effect, I tried a stern warning but Koyama blew it off by saying “whatever.” Our backstage rating has now dropped a few percentage points to 70%.

Other news before the next tour show:

It's time to extend Sanetomo Shiraishi's contract; I think we'll keep him around for another year to work with the bottom of the roster. I've offered him a role as a gatekeeper, which makes him want about another $400/month, but we'll take it. He also only wants to work major TV shows and PPVs, but that seems to include tour shows, so.... who cares?

Funakoshi will be out for four days for BCG due to a scrotal contusion. Wrestling's a tough business.

Before the next tour show, Sensational Dragon pulled a prank on Mitsunari Fugunaga and nearly started a fight. Apparently, Dragon took lessons from Koyama. This is his first incident, so I'm try the fatherly approach. Dragon tells me "it won't happen again;" I hope he's telling the truth.

I don't have much experience with BHOTWG's Super Juniors, so will just sit back and enjoy the show to see who takes home the trophy in the end.

Been wanting to talk a little bit about the younger Heavyweights who have mostly "disappeared" in multi-man tag matches until now. Heihachiro Sakai, Murai Enomoto, Tatsuya Toshitala, Tsurayuki Kamachi, Hitomaro Suzuki and obviously Tanyu Toshusai are loaded with potential and a decent destiny roll could trigger their rise to superstardom in my eyes. Sakai and Enomoto are always two guy who I try to steal away from Burning Hammer in my games at some point. Kamachi and Suzuki have been great "rising stars" type of workers since TEW2007 I think and have thus been featured in most of the C-Verse games I ever played. Toshusai is a bit young but might be the most promising one of the bunch whereas I'm not overly familiar with Toshitala who I suspect could be just as good as Tanyu in the long run.

In sum, I just hope you keep going since I would love to see who will be able to step up his game and move up the cards when the proven veterans go into decline and new stars will have to be created.
