Yet Another NBA Sim Thingy! (Hope I am not crowding things!)

Recommended Posts

So I think I will try my hand at this thing. I love sims and this gives me a chance to try my God-like powers here. So I believe I will start with 1946 for no particular reason. Just because I can! I will sim to All-Star break, to Playoffs, and then to end of season. I am focusing on the Chicago franchise. So here goes and I'll smooth this thing out as I go along. So here goes! (Did I say that already?)

Doesn't look like Chicago is going anywhere this year. Maybe they will have a better half after the All-Star break. Next post will concern the All-Star break.

Chicago tried in vane to climb one step out of the basement but did not succeed. They are projected to choose Bob Hubbard out of Springfield College as the second overall pick in the upcoming draft.

With Pittsburgh and Philadelphia both getting first round byes, the league insiders thought they were on the path to a showdown. Cleveland took out Detroit 3 games to 2 to advance and play Pittsburgh. Meanwhile in the East, Washington swept New York 3 game to none to advance against Philadelphia.

In the second round, Philadelphia took out Washington 4 games to one to advance to the championship game. However, Pittsburgh was upended by 4 games to 2. This unexpected turn meant that the two #1s would not be playing after all. Philadelphia steamrolled over Detroit to become the champions.

I like reading these dynasty threads, and yours in particular. I have been playing from 1946, myself. It's been fascinating to see how these seasons play out, and who among the players dominate the league. I also love seeing players on teams they didn't play for in real life. For instance, I've got Bill Russell playing for the Detroit Pistons, Oscar Robertson playing for the St Louis Hawks, and Bob Cousy on the New York Knicks. Please keep us up to date the best you can on your dynasty!
