This thread is to gauge interest in an alternate timeline mod, set in the 1990s. It would be early 90s, say January 1992. The scenario is in line with my last attempt at a Rise of the Territories mod.

Basically the steroid trials kill the WWF. What happens after that is a resurgence of the territory system as promotions pop up all over the United States trying to fill the void. There is a mad rush to get on tv with the cable expansion. Old stars are back in the spotlight as there is now work to be had all over the place.

That's rough details.

So...interest level?

Think of it as "The Fall" but set in the 90s instead of the 2000s.

I can definitely give it a try though.

BTW, I like the idea of this mod. Now is the WWF going to be out of business completely, or are you leaving them in, but making it super hard to build them back up if the player wants to play as them?

Oddly enough in my long term game using the 'rising storm 1991' mod this very thing happened.

The steroid scandal killed WWF and WCW (me) rose to be the global leader. I then started buying smaller promotions or opening them around the world, then I joined an alliance with those said promotions. This gave it had a new "NWA/territory's" feel. I have places I can send people, I can also 'borrow' their big stars for matches with my big stars.

In short, I think it's a good idea.

I think this is insanely insanely awesome. As long as overness and stats are scaled properly this will be a ridiculous mod. Playing the 1983 Mod made by Alvarasus showed me that the territories system where you have lots of competing comapnies all within an alliance all of a similar size waiting for one to snap and go hard on others' talent is an unbelievably awesome scenario with endless possibilities. So much fun.

Trouble is, as someone born in 1990 I found myself lost with a lot of the early 80s/late 70s workers (my in depth knowledge probably begins in 1985ish) - I found myself wishing that a mod like that, alt reality of course, existed for a time when I could use Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, 'Taker, Austin, Luger, Sting etc with Rock and HHH and Jericho just around the corner rather than being in a spot where I had an insanely young, green Randy Savage and Curt Hennig etc with Shawn Michaels years away.

In short - please do this!

Also - what is "the fall" you refer to? A 2000 territorial mod (if so where can I get it?! Is it well scaled?)
