WECNeverDie Posted March 19, 2014 Share Posted March 19, 2014 Hey, Sorry about the delay getting this out, my hard drive got wiped in January and life got in the way of working on the data after that. Here's an early version of the September 1997 mod you voted for. It's based off the Dawn of MMA mod. Here's a general outline of what to expect in the mod from a previous post of mine. Right so. We have a winner with the PRIDE FC debut!!! Database will have a similar structure to the Dawn of MMA Mod with fighters debuting around the time they join one of the more notable companies. Should be a good starting point for anyone creating mods from this point on so when it's released anyone should feel free to use it. It's my own personal view that this game doesn't work so well with regional level companies as fighters can join pound for pound lists by beating scrubs, so ,in general, Low Level National will be the cut off point for companies (In my experience this also helps offset the lack of AI events a bit). Exceptions will be made for companies where, whilst not being a big company they housed several elite talents (Shooto(YMMV on their popularity level), Invicta Etc.) I'll set up a new thread with more details for the mod in the next few days. In the meantime write anything you would like to see in the mod here. Opinions on where certain top tier fighters in terms of name value and/or rankings should lie would be valued to get a sense of how you all would like the mod to be( I reserve the right to dictatorship however ) and give me a ceiling to work back from. Guys like Rickson, Ken, Royce, Takada, Coleman, Frye, Severn, Rutten, Frank. In My own view Takada was by far and away the biggest name in MMA at the time(Strictly in Japan) whilst Royce & Ken were the most noteworthy fighters in America at the time. I'm planning on having Ken out with a max length injury at the start of the mod to simulate his time in Pro wrestling. As a result of this his name value will be set to a level consistent with his popularity on his return to MMA in 2000 (Highest name value in America) As a result of MMA being in it's infancy at the time it's generally difficult to get a solid consensus on rankings in and around the time so if you have any views they would be welcome. Also slightly controversial on this one but what are people's views on Pancrase fights on guy's records (Keep them all, leave out early pancrase fight or leave them out altogether?) Anything you'd like to see in the mod? anything you'd like done differently to other mods? (Name Values, Reputation, TV Channels Etc.) Looking forward to hearing from you all! It's not finalised yet so any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. That was the main thing I edited when I began playing. Also, add Bob Meyrowitz and Naoto Morishita to the CEO database. They should be in those positions for UFC and PRIDE respectively.</p><p> </p><p> Elbows, grounded or standing, were illegal in PRIDE. Thought I had the elbows illegal in PRIDE, my bad.</p><p> </p><p> True, Saku definitely deserves better but I actually have put all fighters with 0s in each of the marketability stats as a method to reduce the rate at which fighters gain popularity in the game as it seems to be way too fast compared to real life.</p><p> </p><p> I decided to start off with Sakakibara and White in charge of PRIDE and UFC to have it more authentic in the long term rather than the short term. This is a minor detail for me so if peopel would prefer it the other way around. Only thing of note for me so far is to add some events, such as legalising MMA in Nevada.</p><p> </p><p> Also, great touch lowering marketability etc - slows growth abd the improves the game imo. Griffo Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I am using this mod for my dynasty "PRIDE Fighting Championships" http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=527352 So thank you I have had to do a fair bit of editing as I am making the mod so it runs purely from playing as PRIDE, the fighters are edited to debut in January of the year they first fight for PRIDE and their records are changed to the record they had before they took their first fight with PRIDE. I still have just under half the events to go through and finish updating it, I also have a excel document listing when which fighters will debut so I do not miss signing any. There are a few other minor details I have changed also. If anyone is interested in my edit let me know via PM. Otherwise hopefully you follow my dynasty and make some predicitions. I will be doing yearly GP but I am not sure if I will put champions in yet, might use it to be a hyped up showdown mid year. Titles will be introducted around the event number that they were.
