TOTT v.1.0 Release - Real World MOD

Recommended Posts

Notes:

Fighter rankings and stats are based the individual opinion, If you don’t like a stat just change it in your game. Of course I will be open to receiving your feedback to help me improve the MOD.

Companies that can function from the beginning of the game are: UFC, Bellator, WSOF, Onefc, Invicta fc, EFC Africa.

A work in Progress: My goal is to have every company in the MOD to be filled with current fighters associated with the org. Im going to continually add fighters as I update.

So understand some companies in the game wont function and have to delay shows etc.

- Fighter histories will be added as I go, and focused on completely after the major issues are completed. The companies with completed rosters however will be kept up-to-date as the events happen.

- Prospects will be added as I come across them or are made aware of their existence.

- I want to add once prominent but now defunct companies like Affliction MMA, WEC, etc. will be added along with the history of the title holders and events.

I experimented with the Idea of adding Grand Prix/Interim/Tournament belts and histories to the MOD let me know if you find any issues. Even though the belts are inactive I think I have seen companies Activate these belts for some reason.

<p>Just got a quick look at the data there. Pretty cool all around and you've some great detail put into it.</p><p> </p><p>

I was just wondering why you have so many people set to be high level international draws. I feel it may limit the playability of the mod as there's no real room for growth and takes away the aspect of trying to build guys like Pettis, Barao, Aldo etc. whilst you use Jones and Velasquez to drive your popularity. </p><p> </p><p>

The challenge of creating fight cards that will sell well is a big part of the game for me at least. With most wellknown guys at HLI in name value there isn't much of a difference between a Jones PPV and an Aldo PPV in commercial value.</p><p> </p><p>

Obviously this is your mod and your priorities in terms of how you want it to play are paramount but this is just a point to consider.</p><p> </p><p>

Great work on the mod though. Looking forward to seeing it with all the companies fleshed out <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

EDIT: whoops, forgot to check your HYPE thread where you mentioned that's how you view their popularities. My bad, each to their own! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

When he fought at Saffediene vs. Lim he was at FW and I don't see why he would go back to LW (especially considering he won)</p>

that was just a mistake I have him as a featherweight when I added the contract I mistakenly added him as a lightweight. I fixed it tho. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Also, no idea what's happening with the popularity. It seems all over the place. Apparently Shogun vs Henderson is only a "decent" main event for a UFC Fight Night in Brazil. All the rest of the main card are only "preliminary" worthy.</p><p> </p><p>

Also the likes of Cage Warrios being "Mid Level International" is so out of place. Granted, they do put on shows in different nations, but it leads to such unrealistic signings such as Sergei Kharitonov and Ikuhisa Minowa signing with them....</p>

Great work, however it seems 90% of fighters are set to some default template and all have near identical ratings of about 60% - 65%....?
As I said before this is how I rate fighters in every category.

Skills:

80-100 = Deadly

60-79 = Great to World Class

45-59 = Green to Good

30-44 = crap

So as I said before adjust the stats to your liking. Of course changes will be made gradually to improve fighter rankings through trial and error.

Also, no idea what's happening with the popularity. It seems all over the place. Apparently Shogun vs Henderson is only a "decent" main event for a UFC Fight Night in Brazil. All the rest of the main card are only "preliminary" worthy.

Popularity is always a work in progress, but it works for the most part. I maybe missed a few popularity rankings here and there. Just let me know and I will see if I agree and add or consider the change.

Yeah Cage warriors was a mistake. I changed it to National popularity.

Thanks for the feed back.

<p>Some of the guys are priced out, like Miyata, Rizzo Valentihn Overeem being High level international. Those rankings cause million dollar contracts</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Also</p><p>

Shayna Baszler has a UFC contract</p><p>

Matt Hamill doesn't.</p><p>

Dave Herman has Titan FC Contract</p>

<p>The stats is definitely a problem it would seem. I've done about 4 evens with the UFC and literally 95% of the fights end in a decision, most of the times a split decision. </p><p> </p><p>

Having every set at the same stat level with tiny variation in some fighters ends up with unrealistic results and no finishes it seems.</p>

I am aware of these issues especially the decisions thing these will be fixed over time. Im working balancing everything out. As I said MOD making is a ton of work this is gonna be a gradual thing, dont expect it to be perfect from the get go. Things will improve.

Yeah, I don't know if it is intentional or not but I sense some people are being very hard on drkflow. I am sure he appreciates constructive criticism so let try our best to keep it like that and not "complaining" (for lack of a better word.)

This is an initial release and if everyone works together a lot of the minor things can be adjusted and worked out in time. It is obvious that drkflow has worked really hard on this mod thus far. He has a great base to start with now and everything here on out (even adjusting stats) will be fairly minor compared to what he has already done.

Be patient all and lets help as much as possible.

I firm in the belief that you need to have an skeleton like this in place so you can go on to fine tune. I don't expect a polished product so soon. Best we can all do is help out by suggesting modifications going forward. Popularity and stat adjustments for everyone is a big job though.

When I get downtime, which probably won't be until next week sometime, I'll download myself and see if there are any adjustments I can help out with. I normally do anyway.

<p>Trust me when I say Drkflow is on the right track. (I have done some modding for this game it turns out) getting things balanced in the beginning is the hard part. When I started I used the default data as a baseline.</p><p> </p><p>

My only suggestion would be to slow down on expanding companies and rosters. You already have a large mod, i would focus on simming out long games and playing with test fights. Once you have a foundation it's much easier to expand. I started with a 100 man featherweight pack and have slowly built it from here. It's better that way.</p>

<p>Thanks for the Advice Tag. Yeah I realized my line of thinking initially was off I should of done more test runs. The major Issue right now is I screwed up and a majority of the roster is around the same "stat number range" But I am scaling back stats..."Re-Templating" fighters Instead of manually adjusting every stat Like I did before.</p><p>

I see what I have to do to make sure the decision problem is fixed, Its a simple fix just time consuming. It is a ton of work but I will get it done.</p><p> </p><p>

And I will remove the companies that aren't ready to run yet until I complete their rosters. I will focus on making the mod function correctly before I expand.</p>
