Get him! [The Ascension run off screen and when the camera pans they are in the midst of beating the hell out of Tyson Kidd. They overwhelm him before finishing him off with a spike piledriver on the concrete floor. We go to break with officials rushing to his aid.] ===COMMERCIAL BREAK=== [When we return, Kidd’s wife Natalya is by his side and she’s very upset. From nowhere, WWE Divas Champion Paige appears and whacks Natlaya across the back with a chair. I’ve been saying it for months, it doesn’t seem like much is going my way but sometimes there’s no place to go but up and tonight I get the madman Bray Wyatt in that ring. Cena tries fighting back but Rollins launches him into the post. Cena staggers a thin trail of blood running down his face and when he turns, Reigns flies in with a super punch, knocking him cold. But the Shield isn’t done. As Wyatt smiles on, they pick Cena up and triple powerbomb him through the announcers able. As we go to break, Cena is completely demolished.] ===COMMERCIAL BREAK=== [The gong hits and the Undertaker comes out to his theme for what appears to be the last time. He’s not dressed in character simply in jeans and a black leather jacket, reminiscent of the American Badass] Undertaker> When you’ve done this as long as I have you come to understand that the fairy tale won’t last forever. I have been blessed to be surrounded by the people who encouraged me and developed me and fought with me or against me. And all of you. Whether I was tombstoning someone you loved or hated you gave me respect and tonight I’m giving the respect back to you because you deserve the unstoppable, undeniable, Deadman and I just can’t get there anymore and I’ll be damned if I ruin what we…you and I have built here by hanging around too long. [At this point Taker begins to choke up and the entire lockerroom empties onto the stage and the ramp applauding him. Five Point Preview

*Daniel Bryan is the new World Heavyweight Champion but that doesn't mea the Authority is happy about it. This week his love Brie Bella who was recently cleared to return to action has been put into a match with the returning and always dangerous Tamina. Will the Yes movement carry her through or will the Authority get their revenger through her?

*The Real Americans will challenge Goldust and Cody Rhodes for the World Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules. Tonight, Cody and Cesaro go one on one for the right to name the stipulation for the title match.

*CM Punk has been ordered to appear on Smackdown by Acting Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon but she won't say who his opponent will be. Who will it be and will the Best in the World continue to spurn the Authority or will his luck run out?

*Earlier this week Paul Heyman promised on WWE.com that he would 'exercise his demons' this week but he wouldn't go beyond that. What does the Mad Scientist of Sports Entertainment have in mind?

*Following their crushing loss to the Shield at WrestleMania, the Usos are back in action against the team of Wade Barrett and William Regal, or as they're demanding to be called, the Royalists. Can the Usos get back on track in their hunt for tag team gold or will they be upended again?

Backstage Notes

*Emma (NXT) re-signed a new 3 year old contract with the WWE.

*WWE Officials are thrilled with the huge jump of Smackdown's ratings and at pointing at the decision to go to a live program as a reason for the uptick though there's not much to substantiate that.

*This week's debut of Sting caught everyone off guard backstage. The only people who knew it was happening was Vince McMahon, Triple H, and the Undertaker. They even sent the lockerroom out to the stage to sell it and when Sting appeared their reactions on TV were genuine. Afterwards the locker room was abuzz and barely anyone complained about being kept in the dark.

*As evidenced by the arm cutting sequence to close Smackdown, WWE will begin inching towards a more edgy product. It's highly unlikely it will be close to the attitude era but seeing something above PG is something many fans will relish.

Goldust is on fire as the match begins and Swagger is completely on the defense. Cesaro gets involved which brings Cody around the ring and the two of them begin fighting which draws the attention of the referee. Following a blatant low kick by Swagger behind the referee’s back, Swagger bounds off the ropes and lands a solid boot to the side of Goldust’s head and makes the cover for the win.

The Ascension pound Bryan in the corner but he begins to fight back, knocking one back then the other back and forth but out of nowhere they hit the Fall of Man, flooring him. Officials and agents hit the ring and check on Bryan who is holding his neck.

The heels control the tempo until Natalya gets in and she goes right at both Tamina and Paige. Doesn’t seem like much can stop her until Paige snags her leg from the outside, and when Natalya turns from the distraction Tamina flattens her with a clothesline. Paige gets the tag and after stalking Natalya she rolls her up, making sure to use the rope for leverage for the win.

[Heyman smiles and leans across the table.]

[batista snatches Heyman by the tie and is in his face in a second. Lesnar springs up and slams Batista face first into the table, which is Michael Cole’s cue to get out of dodge. Lesnar continues the assault but when he bounds off the ropes for a clothesline, Batista scoops him up and delivers a spinebuster through the table. Heyman is standing there with his mouth open as Batista whirls on him but Heyman runs away before he can get him. As we go to break, Lesnar is down in the midst of the table carnage and Batista picks up the clipboard, signs it and puts it on Lesnar’s chest.]

A great contest between these two. Cena is always aware of the Shield members at ringside and focuses on Rollins and the two battle back and forth with a few close falls. When Rollins is down and out Ambrose jumps on the apron. Cena falls for the distraction for a moment while Reigns comes in the ring, and he charges but Cena sidesteps and Reigns spears Ambrose off the apron, and then follows him to the outside when Cena clotheslines him over the top. By now, Rollins is up and he walks right into an Attitude Adjustment. That gets the 1-2-3.

Bryan is clearly favoring his neck but he tries lashing out at Rusev and staggers the big man but when Rusev gets his hands on him, he puts Bryan on his back with a belly to belly suplex. As Lana applauds he is about to put Bryan in the Accolade when Dolph Ziggler runs down, yelling at Rusev to distract him. Rusev is paying attention but treats him with no concern…until Ziggler grins, grabs ahold of Lana and plants a big kiss right on the mouth. Rusev howls with anger and leaves the ring. Ziggler drops Lana and takes off running, Rusev on his heels. Though he’s down and hurt, the Champion wins when the referee’s count hits ten.

John Cena vs Dean Ambrose w/Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

Cena and Ambrose engage in a war from the opening bell and though Reigns and Rollins try to distract and take cheap shots Cena mostly avoids them. History begins to repeat itself when Rollins distracts Cena enough to allow Reigns to sneak into the ring and when Reigns charges Cena sidesteps just like on RAW but this time Reigns puts on the brakes and whirls around knocking Cena cold with a superman punch which causes the disqualification.

The Ascension w/Vickie Guererro vs the Usos

These two teams go right at each other and the Ascension use power and quick tags to dominate but then Jimmy gets the tag he begins taking it to Viktor which leads to the Ascension being on the outside and the Usos both flying off the top ropes with twin cross body blocks to the outside. The Usos make their way back into the ring and as the referee counts to ten Vickie Guererro is screaming at her team to get to their feet but they’re stunned and by the time Viktor is to the apron the referee reaches ten.

Lillian Garcia announces the rules for the match. The Real Americans and their Don’t Tread On Me flag in one corner and Goldust and Cody Rhodes with a Texas state flag in the other. To win the match your flag must still be standing when the referee counts three. The match itself is a brawl, in which the champions are in control early but thanks to underhanded tactics the challengers gain the upper hand. There’s as much action outside the ring involving the two men not legal and their respective flags as there is in the ring, the majority of the in-ring action is courtesy of Cesaro and Cody. As Goldust and Swagger fight over the Texas flag, Goldust yanks it free from Swagger’s grip, accidentally cracking his brother in the head with the flagpole. Cody stumbles right into the Neutralizer. Goldust tries to break up the cover but Swagger holds onto his leg preventing him.

Winners by Pinfall and new WWE World Tag Team Champions: The Real Americans.

Ziggler knows he has to start fast and he does so, nearly exhausting himself

in a constant barrage of offense which staggers Rusev, keeping him on the defense. That was the good news. The bad news for Ziggler was that it didn’t appear to phase the challenger all that much. Rusev absorbs the beating then springs into action, pounding Ziggler and especially targeting his neck. Lana at ringside shouts orders and encouragements and Ziggler who’s normal cocky demeanor quickly vanishes and is replaced by a survival instinct. He tries to strike and move but he’s cornered on the outside and dropped throat first over the barricade before being rammed back into the apron. Try and he might, and he does try, Ziggler is worn down by a massive bearhug, before catching a standing side kick in the mouth. Lana gives what is becoming two of the most frightening words in the WWE….Rusev Crush! Rusev locks on the Accolade and there is nothing Ziggler can do from the middle of the ring and he has to tap.

Batista vs Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman

The two behemoths go at it before the bell rings and Heyman can barely get out of the ring. Batista and Lesnar trade the momentum and punish their opponent for long stretches. At one point Lesnar tries to F5 Batista through the Spanish table but he slips out and Batista delivers a devastating clothesline. They continue to battle but when Batista charges Lesnar in the corner, Lesnar sidesteps and launches him had first into the pole. He yells down at Heyman who pulls two tables out when the other Heyman guy Kassius Ohno comes down to the ring and helps Heyman set up both tables, one on top of the other. Lesnar stalks Batista but the Animal comes back to life and hits a big running clothesline. Ohno hops onto the apron and distracts Batista, allowing Lesnar to get up and launch a running knee into the Animal’s back. He hoists Batista on his shoulders, climbing to the second rope, looming over the double tables. Heyman is smiling maniacally as he retrieves a bottle of lighter fluid from under the ring, dousing the bottom table and then lighting it. Batista is only starting to come to when Lesnar launches him with a modified F5 through both tables including the one on fire for the win, before Lesnar himself falls off the ropes, laying flat on his back exhausted.

Winner by Stipulation: Brock Lesnar.

[Carnage is everywhere as Heyman and Ohno struggle to help a dazed Lesnar to his feet and to the back following the bell. Medical officials huddle around Batista who isn’t moving at first but then shows weak signs of life. JBL mentions he’s never seen anything like it with men that size.]

Michaels> Why do you have against him?

Triple H> He doesn’t listen or do what he should do.

Michaels> And we did? What’s happened to you man? We used to drive the old man crazy with a smile on our face. Now because you’re wearing an expensive suit you’re going to be the voice of maturity?

Triple H> It goes beyond that Shawn and we’re getting off topic.

Michaels> No, we’re spot on topic. You don’t like him because he does what you can’t do anymore. He leads these people and listens to them and fights for them….and you can’t not because you’re the COO….but because you’re a sell out.

Triple H> Okay you know what, if we’re going to go that route, this just makes my job easier tonight. Shawn, as COO it’s my duty to inform you that you’re…..

Michaels> Wait. I know that next word so before you do something you’ll regret….let me do something I won’t.

[in a flash, Michaels hits Sweet Chin Music right on the button, knocking Triple H flat on his back, out cold.]

Michaels> I guess this is me saying I quit.

[He gives Triple H a DX chop and exits the ring to his music….for the last time.]

Sheamus is a man possessed in the opening moments hitting several power moves on Big E and gets a close two count for his troubles before the champion makes a comeback and begins taking the fight to the challenger. Big E almost gets a three count on a belly to belly suplex off the second rope. Vickie does all she can to distract Sheamus but when he begins building momentum nothing she does can stop him….but the ring post can when he charges for a clothesline outside and when Big E moves Sheamus connects with nothing but steel. The fight continues on the outside with Big E beginning to dominate. He hits a running powerslam for a two count, then when Sheamus reverses an irish whip but telegraphs a backdrop, Big E drops a big elbow on the back of his head, then scoops him up for the Big Ending.

Winner by Pinfall and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Big E.

John Cena vs Roman Reigns w/Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins

This match is a total war and it doesn’t take long for Rollins and Ambrose to try and play a role until the referee orders them both to leave ringside. When the sides even Cena and Reigns trade the momentum, and the brutality, for the entire match. Cena receives a spear through the black barricade into the timekeeper’s area. Reigns catches an Attitude Adjustment through the main announcers table. Cena gets Reigns back in the ring and delivers the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Reigns slips out of another Attitude Adjustment and delivers a standing Superman punch which floors Cena. He stalks Cena ready for a spear but when he does, Cena leapfrogs him. Reigns whirls around and Cena puts him up on his shoulders for another AA but Reigns elbows Cena in the head, picks him up in a standing vertical suplex, then drives him down with a Jackhammer. The referee makes the count 1….2…..3.

[CM Punk comes down to the ring, collects a microphone and sits down in the middle of the ring.]

Punk> Well folks, normally I say it’s clobberin’ time but tonight it’s pipebomb time. For a couple weeks Bray Wyatt has been saying that he can see into my soul and he wants to share in my suffering. The only suffering going on is when we have to see you dress up like a cracked out Cape Fear. I have my moments of pain like everyone else but I think the real reason you’ve got me in your sights is because you know deep down that while I have reached the heights of being the Best in the World, you’re simply Husky in a Hawaiian shirt. You got two big guys. One wears a sheep’s face and the other looks like a horse’s ass and we’re expected to gasp every time you want to get on you messianic soapbox. Well here’s a little psalm from the church of Punk.

Blessed is the WWE Universe because tonight they’re going to see me beat your ass.

[Punk stands when suddenly the lights go out….]

[When they come back, all three members of the Wyatt Family are in the ring and they’re on Punk in no time. After a few moments of beating him down, Rowan retrieves a black pouch from under the ring and gives it to Wyatt. He opens it and pulls out a curved piece of barbed wire. Harper and Rowan tie Punk’s arms in the rope as Bray wraps the wire around Punk’s head. Happy with his work, Wyatt spreads his arms wide, getting in Punk’s face.]

Wyatt> I told you! I told you salvation is through the blood. Open you black heart and be saved!

[Wyatt moves out of the way as Harper charges and boots Punk in the head, causing the wire to cut into him. Next Rowan does the same thing, and more blood flows. Punk is tied in the ropes, slumped and bleeding. Rowan puts a sheep mask on Punk, then squeezes it on, Punk’s legs involuntarily kicking from the pain. Wyatt has them unhook him, but keep the mask and wire on as he hooks his limp body and delivers Sister Abagail’s kiss. They leave him laying as they exit the ring.]

As we go back to live action medical staff is trying to attend to Punk but he’s having none of it, lashing out at them as the blood runs down his face. Staggering, unsure of his own legs, he makes his way up the ramp in search of his attackers, disappearing into the back.]

These two don’t waste any time taking the fight to the outside and both ladies lay it on the line, taking spots some men won’t and which are certainly unusual for divas such as being whipping into and over the stairs, a suplex on the stage, and an assortment of the usual hardcore weaponry which always seems to be under the ring. Paige wails away on Natalya with a chair across her back but Natalya won’t stay down. Paige, frustrated, pulls a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire from under the ring. When Natalya gets to her feet she walks into a swing catching her in the stomach which elicits screams of pain. Paige smiles lining up another hit but this one Natalya ducks when she swings high and then dropkicks the bat into Paige’s face, slicing the champion on the mouth. The two begin slugging it out but when Natalya goes for a dropkick again, Paige sidesteps then hooks Natalya into Scorpion Cross Lock for the win.

Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton

The dislike between the two men is tangible and for the first half of the match they both manage to avoid or escape submission holds. Bryan begins to pick Orton apart, but Orton’s stubbornness won’t allow him to give up. A kick to the temple turns out his lights and Bryan is about to put on the YES Lock when Flair comes down the aisle, dragging Brie with him. He shouts at Bryan to give up, without so much as a move from Orton, ‘or else.’ Bryan is held at bay, afraid if he charges Flair he may not stop some attack on Brie when she takes care of her own business, kicking Flair low, then kicking him in the chest, knocking him on his back as he holds himself. Bryan looks down at Orton, who’s about to come to, and bounds off the ropes, punting Orton as he did to Brie weeks before. With Orton out, Bryan locks on the Yes Lock and the referee rings for the bell with Orton unable to respond.

*No injuries were reported aside from the obvious cut jobs and the accompanying stitches. The locker room continues to ride a lot of momentum out of the event.

*To help loosen up everyone's nerves the Road Dogg showed up with some....adult beverages which helped liven up the locker room.

Big big thank you to all the loyal readers. Wanted to give a heads up that I'm putting this on hiatus. Another opportunity has presented itself that I can't turn down. Not deleting the data or anything and someday I may hit he play button on this again but don't have the time to manage two at once.
