WWE 2014: Brand Split Redux

After their so-called betrayals, Triple H looked to rid himself of The Shield by firing The Hounds Of Justice. But The Shield's fortune changed when it was announced that half of WWE had been sold out from under Triple H's nose...to none other than Shane McMahon.

At Extreme Rules, The Shield took on Kane, Randy Orton, and Batista in a 3-on-3 match to determine who would gain the first selection in the 2014 WWE Brand Split. With Shane McMahon taking control of Smackdown, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon kept their iron fist around the roster of RAW.

The brand split took place the morning after Extreme Rules live only on the WWE Network. With Triple H wearing the bandages from his war with Daniel Bryan less than 24 hours before, he and Shane McMahon drafted what would be the rosters for their new brands.

Draft Split Rules

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship will not be brand-exclusive.
Therefore, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion will be able to appear on both brands. If he loses the championship, he replaces whichever superstar defeated him on that brand.
All other titles will go to the brand of their respective Superstar or Diva
Each brand will select one superstar at a time. The exception to this is established tag teams or stables may be drafted together, but the other brand gets to select the same number of Superstars unopposed.
Following the draft, for a month, brand representatives will be able to trade or steal superstars and divas from each other's brands. On June 1st, the rosters will become locked until the draft lottery in 2015.
