Novak had the early advantage, hitting a running powerslam and followed by a hard leg drop, and throwing his seemingly unfazed opponent towards the ropes. The two engaged in a back and forth exchange ending with Mikey James hitting a clothesline on Petr Novak. Mikey forces Novak into an armbar, causing some severe pain, before Novak throws him off. James lands on the ring ropes, and hits a swift kick to the face of the large kayfabe Russian. Mikey James hits several hard strikes on Novak, before he tags in to Krusher Karloff. Mikey James keeps the slower Karloff off balance, throwing him again towards the ropes while tagging in Frankie Perez who hits a hard flying elbow on Karloff. There is a double tag as the exhausted Petr Novak enters the match, and another back and forth exchange occurs, ending with a flying kick to Novak’s face. Some unpredictability here. I wanted T-Rex to be strong for the title match with Baine, so a title victory gives him legitimacy. The Cold Warriors have faced Savage Fury four times <em>this year</em> -- so I couldn't have a second round rematch between the two (McWade Brothers are heel). Thanks to everyone again who predicted.</p><p> </p><p>

Their opponents were the tag team of former 5SSW Wrestler Connie Morris and USPW staple Gorgon. Noted here is that the duo are former 5SSW champions, reigning from January to September 2008. Connie Morris faced off against Raven Robinson first, with both wrestlers sparring to a stalemate, with Morris getting the advantage with an early Armbar. Raven managed to break out of the move and tagged in partner J-Ro to fight against Connie Morris. J-Ro was dominate in this match slugging Connie Morris in the face before running the ropes, flooring the bigger bruiser, and applying swift kicks as she managed a tag to Gorgon. The big wrestler from Japan tossed several stiff blows at J-Ro, knocking her off her feet, but J-Ro reversed the move using a swift kick, making it to the ropes to start ring running. The faster J-Ro hit the clothesline, followed by a quick J-Rocker, and had Gorgon down for the count. J-Ro secured victory for the Dream Team a swift three seconds later. </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37875" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/DallasMcWade_zpse047bbdc.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/amp_zps7ab3e826.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/DeanMcWade_zps27ee8987.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/VS_zps3f8d4177.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/Java_zps7d7b8def.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/amp_zps7ab3e826.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/TribalWarrior_zpsa8deeb86.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> The two brothers McWade entered to face off against Tribal Warrior and Java. Java works Dallas McWade with several hard punches. The two do a ring run until Java hits a body-to-body suplex throwing his opponent over his head. Dallas makes a quick tag to Dean McWade, who tries to hit an elbow off the ropes on Java, but Java evades it, and Dean takes a painful bump. Java applied several swift kicks to his opponent, with Tribal Warrior unbuckling the turnbuckles, Java slams Dean into the exposed turnbuckles while both members of Savage Fury slam the face of Dean into the exposed turnbuckle. The Southern California crowd was heavily behind the Cali Dragons, the two face kayfabe martial arts specialists. Mikey James squared off with Chris Caulfield first. Mikey James batters his opponent, hitting several hard punches and kicks, and using a judo move to force Caulfield off his feet. Mikey prepares for a splash, but Caulfield moves out of the way, and there is a double tag. Frankie Perez faces off against Freddie Datsun, and a staredown begins in the ring. Frankie starts running the ropes, followed by Freddie, and gets the best of him with a clothesline. The wrestlers exchange several punches before Frankies’ jump kick knocks Freddie Datsun to the ropes. There is another double tag, as an exhausted Chris Caulfield enters to face a fresh Mikey James. Caulfield spears Mikey, knocking him off his feet, and hits several hard blows to Mikey James face. James reverses a punch into a submission, and works Caulfield for several seconds before heading towards the ropes for a finisher. Mikey James goes for a flying elbow off the top rope, but Chris Caulfield catches him in mid-air, and knees him in the groin! Caulfield throws him towards the ropes, gets a flash pin while holding Mikey’s privates, and Caulfield manages a quick three count, as the Extreme Dream Team defeats the Cali Dragons. </p><p> Mikey James is understandably furious, once getting up he lays several punches into Caulfield, busting Caulfield open before he is restrained by the referee. The daughter of Sam Strong was a favorite of the crowd, one of the most talented wrestlers on the whole roster, and the undisputed gem of Women’s wrestling. The nefarious Shane Sneer entered with his new clients, The A-List, his crooked smile and southern charm on full display. The match started with Alicia Strong in the ring with Nadia Snow. The face gave the strong arm to Sneer’s client, within three minutes Nadia Snow reached in for the tag to Demelza Wade. Demelza Wade started with a hard push to Strong, gaining considerable heat from the crowd. The two ran the ropes, with Wade laying down the clothesline on Strong, and hitting a splash off the ropes onto Alicia. Alicia Strong made a tag to American Women, who was quickly blindsided by Demelza as she ran into the ring. The two ran the rings again with Demelza Wade hitting a suplex on Washington, throwing her over the shoulder. Shane Sneer ran towards Alicia Strong, arguing loudly until the two began fighting, as both members of the A-List set up the Star Treatment. Demelza Wade pinned Lora Washington securing the win for the A-List. </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37875" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/JamesJustice_zps4cadefa2.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> James Justice enters via the left entrance. They introduce the mystery wrestler as former USPW wrestler Flex, who has asked to be called Garcia (the mystery wrestler is SWF's Frederique Antonio Garcia), and reminds the audience that Mr. Amazing is the former tag partner of D.C. Rayne, Eddie Howard. The four wrestlers engage in an all-out brawl, with all four in the ring at once, and no one can seem to get momentum early on. The Enygma faces off against Justice, hitting a crooked moonsault onto his opponent from the rope and several hard chops to Justice's back. He starts to work over Justice with an Armbar when Mr. Amazing powerslams The Enygma off his feet. The partners switch as Enygma takes on Mr. Amazing and Garcia fights against James Justice. Garcia hits a punch and seems to knock Justice loopy and hauls him onto the turnbuckles, preparing to throw him to the mat, but Justice reverses Garcia in-mid air, hitting the former Supreme Superstar with a bodyslam. Enygma goes head-to-head with Mr. Amazing, seeming to outspeed the heavier worker, going for the Enygma Variation off the ropes, but Mr. Amazing catches the slithering Enygma, and pushes him from the ring! The two double team Garcia with James Justice hitting the Elimination Slam to finish the match, getting a three-count on Garcia! </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><span style="font-size:14px;">USPW Quick Results</span></span></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>Mick Muscles d.</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> Jack Griffth</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>The Dream Team (J-Ro & Raven Robinson) d.</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> The Beautiful Bruisers (Connie Morris & Gorgon)</span></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> </span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"><strong>T-Rex d.</strong></span></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:'Courier New';"> The Real American. <p>Standings after August, Week 2:</p><p>

Hitman74 19/26 (+5/7)</p><p>

flaviooooo 17/26 (+3/7)</p><p>

MidnightNick 16/26 (+3/7) </p><p>

Dusty Guns 16/25 (+3/6) </p><p>

mistaken 3/13 </p><p> </p><p>

Another unpredictable week, with everyone but Hitman74 getting more wrong than right. It'll get easier as I go forward and the storylines start to hit. Another SWF wrestler debuts next week (the last one for a while), so they'll be an opportunity to recoup bonus points. This is the go-home show for Apple Pie and Wrestling, so plot lines are wrapping up... </p><p> </p><p>

But now that the purveyor of Justice has entered my corner, I cannot help to think that you are indeed doomed!” </p><p> The vignette fades out as the next combatants descend into the ring.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37875" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/American_Woman_zpsa095d34f.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/VS_zps3f8d4177.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/DelmesaWade_zpse762198f.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/w_zps5fc85ab4.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/Shane_Sneer_zps8990451c.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> American Woman, the partner of Alicia Strong, ducked under the ring rope and rolled onto the mat. Tyson Baine who hits the DDT on the unsuspecting Caulfield, and both teams make hot tags, bringing in Baine and Beau. Tyson Baine looks like a champion throwing the flamboyant grappler around the ring, executing a hard chokeslam and hitting a suplex, knocking the exhausted Beau to the ground. Beau quickly tags into Caulfield. Chris Caulfield fares little better against the champ, and Baine hits a clothesline which floors The Hardcore American. Baine makes the tag to Mikey James. Mick had the upper hand going into the seventh minute when he floored Enygma with a piledriver. Instead of going for the pin, Mick Muscles tried to get ahold of Enygma’s mask. Enygma grabbed Muscles foot and reversed his attack into a legbar, which Enygma followed with several strikes to his prone opponent. USPW PRESENTS APPLE PIE AND WRESTLING

LIVE FROM UTAH RESERVATION! WEEK 3 FRIDAY AUGUST 2014

SOLD OUT ARENA: 15,000 AMERICAN WRESTLING FANS PRESENT

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/AlicaStrong_zpscdc25c7d.png

Alicia Strong enters the ring. The raucous crowd gives loud applause to the daughter of Sam Strong. “This may be the first PPV since my fathers’ retirement” states Alicia “but that won’t prevent me from providing a STRONG opening.” Alicia pauses to catch her breath. “Tonight, I’m going to defend my Women’s Championship, and fans of American Wrestling, I guarantee that I will hold tight to that USPW title when this night is over!” The fans cheer wildly for Sam Strong’s eldest child.

Puerto Rican Power takes on Thatcher in the first PPV match of the post-Strong Era. Thatcher is overpowered early, knocked around quickly by the superior wrestler, selling hard for several hard strikes, before tapping out to an Atomic Full Nelson from Puerto Rican Power.

Krusher Karloff and Petr Novak face off against two robots. The Robot, as he has been announced, wrestled with The Future. The new robot, A Robot, debuts managed by the time travelling captain. Krusher throws A Robot over the top ropes, and the two kick A Robot in the head reaching for his face. The Future throws Petr Novak off. The match quickly descends into chaos, with The Robot being rolled into the ring, and Krusher Karloff getting a quick pin on The Robot.

These opponents are two of the most promising workers in USPW. The crowd reacted accordingly giving the two considerable pop. The Real American came to roaring applause, treating his opponent with demure indifference. The Real American is accompanied by the sounds of Rick Derringer’s “The Real American”. The Real American overpowered Andre Jones early, hitting a running power slam followed by a pile driver, putting the heel on his heels. The Real American tired ten minutes into the match. Andre used his speed to dodge a clothesline, throws The Patriot over with a suplex, and hits a roll-up pin for the three 8 minutes in.

Tyson Baine was stronger than his opponent, overpowering the heel challenger early on. T-Rex reversed a suplex into a Jurassic Crush. Tyson Baine sells this well, but doesn’t tap out to the move, kicking T-Rex in the knees, throwing himself into the ropes, and hitting T-Rex with a powerslam. Tyson Baine manages to get on top of T-Rex but T-Rex throws him towards the right corner. Tyson Baine ducks under T-Rex’s punch and spears him, pinning him down and throwing several hard punches at T-Rex, busting the National Champion open. Tyson Baine runs the ropes, and just as T-Rex is ready to get up, hits the Hades Bomb, applying the pin soon after. It’s an easy three-count as Tyson Baine unites the two Championships.

The opening music for the Extreme Dream Team plays as a vignette of

Freddie Datsun is shown on screen. Freddie Datsun enters, grabs the microphone and motions to the crowd. “Now revealing, the third member of The Extreme Dream Team, Jack ‘Southern Justice’ Griffith!”

The crowd gives a mild cheer for “Southern Justice” as he runs down the ramp.

Entrance music plays, a new theme for the old Savage Fury, and the duo of Tribal Warrior and Java enter the ring. The crowd is delirious for the four-time tag champions.

Freddie Datsun and Java faced off first in this match. The two fought to a standstill, both wrestlers brawling heavily, and three minutes in there is a double-tag, pitting Jack Griffith and Tribal Warrior. Jack Griffith dominates Tribal Warrior, hitting a clothesline and a hard roundhouse kick, putting Tribal Warrior on his heels. Tribal Warrior makes a hard tag to Java. The two run the ropes, with rolling under a clothesline from Griffith, then slamming the unsuspecting heel towards the ground. Griffith tags in Datsun. Java floors the entering Freddie Datsun with a hard punch, grabs Freddie and pushes him towards the corner, with Tribal Warrior putting Datsun in a suffocating chokehold while Java hit several punches. Java gestures his partner to let go of Datsun, as Java hits a pile-driver on a hurting Freddie Datsun. The two veteran brawlers set up the greeting for the Island on the fallen everyman. Jack Griffith stares from ringside as his partner taps out. Captain USA presents the belts to Savage Fury announcing the two islanders as five-time tag team champions!

Three staples of the Women’s division face off against one another in an intense match. The crowd was on the edge of their seat to watch the spawn of Strong in battle. Belle Bryden, the most accomplished wrestler in the ring, dominated early. She ran the ropes with Raven Robinson, hitting a clothesline and hitting a big leg. Alicia went after her opponent, throwing several stiff strikes, Belle Bryden reversing her strike into an armbar. Raven Robinson broke up the armbar going after Alicia Strong. Belle Bryden hit a Dish of the Day off the ropes, and managed to get the pin. Robinson argued with the referee after the match, claiming that Belle didn’t get a clean three, and was escorted from the arena by security. Bryden and Strong faced off for the Women’s title. The two ran the ropes, with Bryden laying down and hitting a piledriver on Alicia Strong. The Women’s Champion managed to kick out at two, throwing a shocked Belle Bryden towards ringside. Belle Bryden launched a Dish of the Day, but Alicia reversed it into a sunset flip and transitioned into a submission, forcing Belle Bryden to tap. Alicia Strong held high her USPW Women’s Championship belt for the crowd to see.

The more famous half of the Cali Dragons walks down the entrance ramp. The crowd responds with a huge boisterous applause, deafening, as a promotional video showcases the career of Mikey James. Chris Caulfield enters the arena to “Jump!” and the crowd enters a raucous frenzy, booing the Hardcore American. A steel cage descends upon the two heated combatants. The match starts with exchanges of hard strikes, with Mikey James forcing Caulfield into the ropes, landing several punches on The Hardcore American. Chris Caulfield reverses a hard strike and puts Mikey James into a reverse armbar. Mikey is able to reach for the ropes in a tense segment. The two grapplers run the ropes, twice, trading clothesline, before Mikey hoists himself on the ring ropes and hits an aerial maneuver transitioning into a headlock. Mikey applies several punches and transitioned into a roll-up pin, but Caulfield throws him off after a two count. The two wrestlers return to center ring. Caulfield hits a hard punch, clocking Mikey James, who loses his balance and stumbles into the ring post.

Caulfield hits several hard punches before Mikey James pushes him off, hits a hard roundhouse kick, whiffs on a follow-up kick which his opponent ducks. The Hardcore American speared Mikey James, pinning him against the ropes, but Mikey swings around Chris Caulfield using the ropes. The two run the ropes again, with Caulfield hitting a pile driver on his smaller opponent, bouncing Mikey James off the ring mat. Mikey James returns to his feet. Chris Caulfield again forces Mikey James into the left corner, smashing into him with several hard punches, blood soaking his white wife beater. Chris Caulfield goes on top of the left-center ring-post picking up his smaller opponent. Chris Caulfield slams Mikey James with a Danger Drop with Mikey taking a vicious bump. Chris Caulfield covers for the quick pin. A battered, semi-conscious Mikey James is escorted from the arena by security.

The first PPV was samey. The first three matches were predicted correctly by most, but the four title matches caused trouble. Everyone predicted Belle Bryden to win the USPW Women's Title. Only one person correctly predicted Chris Caulfield to win the main event -- I love The Cali Dragons, but USPW is not the right environment for them to thrive (plus Kill-Switch got snapped up for a BHOTWG Tour). The tag team title match and the title unification match were split right down the middle -- I can't advocate T-Rex as a champ, he's too limited in-ring. Baine is sub-par... he won't last much longer as the World Title Holder.</p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>August, Week 4 Monday</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

It was a rainy, cold Monday in late August. Fall had, for the first time in years, come early to Gil Thomas' small ranch in East Tennessee. Gil had a cup of coffee in his hands, steaming, as he stared out towards the pastures, with the sheep wafting back and forth upon puddles of soot-water. </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/GilThomas_zps815e84cc.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/LarryVessey_zps324b064a.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Gil looked toward Larry, with a smug grin on his face, as if he were hiding something. <strong>"Larry, do you know why I'm here?"</strong></p><p>

Larry was on the other end of the old, wood finished porch. <strong>"Why did you come here, Gilbert?"</strong></p><p>

Gil thought for a minute how to reveal his answer. <strong>"This war was waged for retribution, Larry. As a kid, I went to watch Mike Kinsey and Jason Jackson brawl in the ol' California Pro Wrestling. In the early 80's, Dick Eisen started building his monopoly on wrestling. The regional companies fell, one by one, and were replaced with the "Supreme" company, the "Supreme" logo and the "Supreme" Entertainment. The 'ol grapplers, the cigarette smoking managers and the poor 'ol barnstorming refs, they became a thing of the past."</strong></p><p>

Larry Vessey took in the long, emotional speech given by Thomas. <strong>"Is that why, with IPW, you declared war on the "Supreme Brand"? </strong></p><p>

Gil Thomas responded with a quick nod of his head.</p><p>

Larry felt for 'ol Gil. The business veteran who made his name in The Big Apple, New York City, had learned the goal was unrealistic the hard way. </p><p>

<strong>"Gil, you better have a good plan for taking out Rick Eisen. You know how many talents of ours abandoned us for that god-damned house of smut? Captain Atomic, 'Merican Machine, Grandmaster Phunk... the list is endless. I ain't sayin' its impossible, but you better have a fat wallet and a damned good idea what you're plannin' to do."</strong> The former TCW Tag Team Champion wears the pain of defeat on his face. Larry lights a cigar, takes a puff, inhales, and puts in a conveniently placed ashtry. <strong>"I tried, first with [JK] Stallings in HGC, the golden years, before he went bankrupt, then with Tommy [Cornell] in TCW, finally as my own boss with New York City Wrestling. I've been at the eye of the storm, Gil. You gotta be prepared for war."</strong></p><p>

Gil stared into the eyes of Larry Vessey. He was clearly disappointed by the veteran's announcement. </p><p>

<strong>"I got folders profiling Dick Eisen's fed on your desk, upstairs, vanilla, in a sealed beige envelope. I slipped some "improvements" to make, to give us a feel of top promotion. Tell me what you think, Larry."</strong></p><p>

Larry took a deep tug on the cigar he was smoking. His sullen eyes glaring into the deep fog outside.</p><p>

<strong>"Will do, Boss. Will do."</strong> Gil ended the conversation. Mrs. Thomas seemed to need his roaming eyes. Larry took a long puff of his cigar, put it down, and blew a large smoke ring, carefully watching his creation ascend into the afterlife. </p><p>

Larry scrounged around his pocket, looking for a certain piece of paper. He pulled it up after a few minutes of search in his black pair of work pants. </p><p>

<strong>"Well, you can't outspend Dick Eisen... you have to outsmart him." </strong> thought Larry Vessey out loud. Larry made exactly one change to the names on the paper, the notes for that weeks' episode of USPW Presents American Wrestling!, and stuffed the paper in his pocket.</p><p>

<strong>"Gil, you're going to hate me for what I've just done."</strong> he muttered under his breath. <strong>"Someday down the road, I hope you look back on it fondly, however far away it is."</strong></p><p>

<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Gil Thomas Residence, Head Bookers' Office, August Week 4 Tuesday</span></strong></p><p>

Larry Vessey sat in his office, examining the folders entailing the Supreme Wrestling Federation Roster. He looked with sadness upon former stars of TCW and USPW who had jumped ship to the enemy. The SUPREME FEDERATION OF WRESTLING, they had turned coats, to join the general manager who ruined wrestling, Richard Eisen.</p><p>

<strong>"Gil"</strong>, stated Larry, "<strong>you can come in. I've reviewed the whole roster."</strong></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/GilThomas_zps815e84cc.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Larry placed a document titled <span style="text-decoration:underline;">"General Overview of Main Eventers" </span>on the table and put out his expensive cigar. The smoulders emitted a trail of smoke which slowly crept out the window.</p><p>

Larry and Gil stared at the piece of paper afraid to speak a word. </p><p>

Gil was the first to speak the silence.<strong>"It's hard to believe"</strong>, he paused, hesitant, <strong>"that he is really gone"</strong>. </p><p>

"He" was Nicky Champion, the face of USPW for five entire years, and protege of legendary USPW Owner Sam Strong</p><p>

<strong>"It hurts me, to this day."</strong> reminisces Larry. "<strong>They've made good on making him a star, he's the most over wrestler on the roster."</strong> Larry was getting carried away.</p><p>

"<strong>Larry, we'll be here all day if we grieve over lost friends. There are many who turned their back on the industry, on the greats that made them. Cryin' over the shame of it all won't bring Wolf Hawkins and Nicky Champion back."</strong></p><p>

Larry thought briefly about Tommy Cornell. How was he coping with the loss of his best friend, confidant and protege to the enemy? </p><p>

<strong>"Larry, pay attention!" </strong>stated a incensed Gil Thomas <strong>"I paid you to run a company, not mourn over dead men! So, what can you tell me about the SWF?"</strong></p><p>

Gil Thomas Residence, Head Bookers' Office, August Week 4 Tuesday

Larry and Gil sat across for one another in a smoky room at the Gil Thomas Residence. With an unsure haste, Larry opened the folder, and proceeded to run his fingers over the "Main Eventers" heading.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/GilThomas_zps815e84cc.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/LarryVessey_zps324b064a.png

General Overview of Main Eventers, Heading

"Right, Gil. I'll at the top. The face of Supreme, lead Heel and World Champion, Jack Bruce." said Larry. He still hated Jack Bruce from the mutual time spend wrestling together at TCW. Bruce was a prima donna, a backstage politician and a heavy drinker.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/JackBruce_zps91222975.png

"40 years old in the business, he's won five world champions in SWF, his current title reign encompassing nineteen defenses over 13 months. On his skills, Jack is arguably the greatest entertainer in the business. Jack's wrestling skills are only average, and at his advanced age, are beginning to slip. This could be his last year as the face of SWF.

Larry finished the paragraph on Bruce. Gil was listening intently, chuckling at every reference he could incorporate into a joke about Jacks' privates.

"The second most over heel on the roster is Remo Richardson." continues Larry.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Remo_zps8f239295.png

"Remo bleeds star quality. At 31, Richardson is in his prime, and his wrestling skills are some of the best in the world. His stamina is the most marked improvement in his varied repertoire. Of the heels, I'd say Remo is the best wrestler, and a future face of the company. Remo has been second fiddle to Rich Money, smashing jobbers and feuding with aging stars Christian Faith and Vengeance."

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/EricEisen_zps29ead9da.png

"I should be talking about Rich Money here. Richard has made the monumental error of given Eric Eisen a monster-push, making him one of the most over workers in the company. I'll give the bosses' son some credit here: he has grown into a decent wrestler and he's learning to cut a jib. Double-E is a one dimensional brawler However, giving him four straight wins over top faces Valiant, Nicky Champion, Wolf Hawkins and Champagne Lover is monumentally stupid. I have to think that when the 38-year old manchild starts to decline Michaels will have the sense to force Richard to give his son a lesser role."

Gil Thomas was clearly irate. He began to turn bright red like a helium ballon an started to loudly shoot on the younger Eisen. "I hate that b*****. I had to design clothes for him when he debuted in '94. He badmouthed me in the press due to the "texture" of the silk fabric claiming it wasn't from the "nation state of Taiwan" as I had claimed. Not that he could tell the difference between foreign and American silk."

"The little s*** was barely old enough to drive when I left Supreme." stated Larry. "Back then Double E was spoiled, used to getting his way, insufferably cocky and blessed with his fathers' presumptuous attitude. Brian was far more tolerant of his antics. As soon as rumors hit the dirt sheets that Eric was going to be a wrestler, I booked a pass to Japan and told Richard to stuff it."

Larry smirked. "Learned my lesson then. Never worked for Eisen since. Never will."

Gil and Larry shared a moment of laughter. Rich Money is next, right?"

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/RichMoney_zps7babbd15.png

"You are correct, boss. The "moneyman" Rich Money indeed is the forth-most popular heel in SWF. The thirty-nine year old seems to have The alum of our very own hometown promotion, USPW, is the same man who built SWF. He's an incredible wrestler, a stalwart performer, and an incredible entertainer. The mysterious "moneyman" is the total package."

Gil Thomas took a deep breath. "Whoever had Rich Money, that promotion was going to win the ratings war. Without him, Bruce is just a midcarder who's better served as a manager. The white Grandmaster Phunk."

"Bold statement. One I agree with." stated Larry.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/BJames_zps6f7de817.png

"Brandon "Franchise Player" James. The crown jewel of the "chase organization" stable, The Franchise Player brings power to the table. He's an above-average brawler who has average basics and a good look. His main quality is chemistry with manager "Easy Emma" Chase who remains the top ringside worker in the business. I have to give it to Richard for turning Brandon James into a solid worker. Guy had no stamina and poor entertainment skills when he went to the SWF in '08 and Eisen has turned him into a star."

Gil was again laughing, this time at the "Easy Emma" comment. He stated enthusiastically, "Unfortunately for Mr. James, Emma sure ain't easy. She's a flirt, sure, but I've never heard any dirt sayin' she'll put out. Not that I haven't tried m'self." A big wide grin spanned Gil Thomas' face, indicating something sinister.

"As you said, we should stay on topic" directed Larry, quite annoyed that Gil was interrupting his analysis for raunchy humor.

"I knew you were no fun at parties, Larry. Dagnabit!" jibbed Gil.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SqueekyMcClean_zpscac92aaa.png

"Squeeky McClean is next most over, with many sites giving him B overness in the United States. McClean was a career midcarder before SWF put the North American strap on him in late 2013, and like many before him, the reign catapulted him onto the main stage. He has arguably the best performance skills in the United States. McClean is no slouch on the microphone either."

Larry was laughing after talking about McClean. "'bout time Richard wised up and moved him away from the sanitation freak gimmick. He's working Gilmore's Straight-Edge gimmick now."

Gil was perplexed. "Any chance that SWF lets him go? They gave both Flex (Garcia) and (Joe) Sexy walkin' papers this month?"

Larry thought sternly about the question. "USPW would eat this guy up. Only if his in-ring skills decline steeply. We were lucky they didn't match for Garcia." Larry smirked. "Richard Eisen makes bad decisions, but he's not stupid, he's just shrewd. He knows he can sacrifice short term gains at this point, SWF is on a monumental rise, but he's not going to let go of such a reliable hand."

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Rogue_zps132f213c.png

And coming in around B- in the US, the monumental "Wrath of God" himself, Jack Giederoyc! After splitting from long-time tag partner Valiant in late 2011, he adopted the moniker Rogue, going heel and gaining a massive push. I'd call Jack a capable hand. Rogue is around average in most categories, in-ring he can pull a decent brawl. His best asset seems to be his entertainer skills. Guy really, really benefited from Emma Chase."

Gil Thomas couldn't contain himself. "Jack really is a capable ham. Guy is a hack, and doesn't deserve to main-event NYCW, much less SWF.

Larry broke into a feverish laugh. The "Wrath of God" had a nasty reputation as a backstage politician.

"You're not giving him proper credit Gil." Larry held himself in suspense. "Jack is at least a glazed ham with brown sugar."

Jack Giederoyc had an infamous drinking habit rivaled only by Larry's brother, Brian Vessey.

Larry knew the next name on this list. He parsed over the text with his finger. It was a close personal friend.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Know%20The%20Enemy/ChrisMorisette_zps9471d8b4.png

"Christopher Morrisette. The former Lobster Warrior was unmasked in a feud over the North American strap while fighting SWF Superstar Champagne Lover. He turned heel and portrayed an angry anarchist with his former Commotion in the Ocean partner, Aaron "Jumbo" Jackson. SWF teamed them for a bit under the name Pure Hatred before both stars went to singles. Morrisette has been crushing jobbers as the opening act to many shows. His basics and skills are solid and he really shines as an entertainer. Morrisette rises to the level of his competition and can put on solid main-event matches. At 41, his best years are behind him."

The two jovial friends were quiet, their raucous conversation interrupted by harsh reality..

"Chris is a h*** of a hand. In person, he's a great guy who loves his fans. This was not the way for him to go." Larry had met Chris several times, wishing always to work a match with him, but circumstance had kept them apart.

Gil was choking up. "All he wanted to do was entertain the fans, bring lighthearted wrestling back. I have to wonder how much of the Anarchist character is kayfabe, or if Chris is hittin' the bottle hard again. Wouldn't blame the guy." Gil had been in charge of designing the prototype Lobster Man suit for PPPW.

A few tears graced the face of Gil Thomas. "Richard Eisen is a b******. A god-**** b******."

The two friends sat motionless, staring towards the open window on the starboard side. Larry gave Gil a chance to regain composure before continuing on his report.

Just started following this one, and I must say I enjoyed the last backstage segment. Kinda unexpected to see the two Jacks as politicians (as they're neutral backstage influences) and Lobby/Morrisette as a drunk, but it's a nice twist. Just a couple corrections, if I may. Eric Eisen, who was born in 1978, debuted in-game in 1996; in 1994, he would have been a mere 16-year-old. And Jumbo Jackson's real first name is Aaron.

Hope to join in the predictions soon!
