United States Pro Wrestling: The Ties That Bind

Recommended Posts

Just started following this one, and I must say I enjoyed the last backstage segment. Kinda unexpected to see the two Jacks as politicians (as they're neutral backstage influences) and Lobby/Morrisette as a drunk, but it's a nice twist. Just a couple corrections, if I may. Eric Eisen, who was born in 1978, debuted in-game in 1996; in 1994, he would have been a mere 16-year-old. And Jumbo Jackson's real first name is Aaron.

Hope to join in the predictions soon!

Thanks, corrected it. The next few weeks should be enjoyable: I've made some alts for the occasion, and there are some definite twists and turns. In-game, it's my best month of booking in TEW.

The masked Angel of Death made a face turn in early 2014, and uses his solid entertainment skills and look to pull decent matches. He's been teaming with various wrestlers to challenge top heels Remo & Rich Money in entertaining contests on SWF TV." </strong></p></div></blockquote><p> <strong>"He's sort of an enigma in real life. Real private guy, keeps to himself, not seen much in public."</strong> stated Larry. It was an obvious statement that described a majority of masked wrestlers.</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37875" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Christian_Faith_zps67ca79a3.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> <strong>"Christian Faith is the aging star of SWF. His basics are incredibly solid, and he augments his in-ring skills with great entertainment skills. I have no doubt he'll take over a backstage role upon his retirement. The dreadful word has probably crossed the mind of the 48-year old veteran, as his in-ring skills are declining rapidly. I can't see Eisen ever letting the guy walk. Dick treats him like a son. He's been booked in a back-and-forth affair with Remo and Rich Money, accompanied by Frehley in many matches."</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> <strong>"He reminds me so much of Sam Strong in the ring, on the microphone, and in his private life. I've heard he has a son who is training to wrestle.'</strong> stated Gil. <strong>"Have you seen his tapes?"</strong></p><p> <strong>"It's hard at this stage to gauge Matty Faiths' potential. I'd need more than a few tapes".</strong> Larry paused. This was a bald-faced lie. It was easy for Larry to gauge Matty Faiths' potential, and the headcase son of Christian Faith had little or no potential to speak of. <strong>"I'm sure Matty gets gobbled up by SWF after his debut".</strong> </p><p> The statement repeated in Larry Vesseys' head. <em>Richard Eisen makes bad decisions, but he's not stupid, he's just shrewd.</em> Matty Faith was unlikely to be offered a contract with RIPW unless he really earned it. </p><p> Larry quickly changed the subject.</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37875" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/Valiant_zps2437b5f8.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> <strong>"Reporting as the #7 Babyface in SWF, representing the Kentucky Waterfall, Mr. Bland Baby Kisser himself, Valiant! Valiant is a rising star in the SWF. He's a 1-trick pony, a straight brawler, who does that trick increasingly well. Valiant is one of the most strongly disliked wrestlers on the internet as he tends to overplay his moves and botches basic attempts. Still, solid basics and oozing charisma seem to propel the 33-three year old farther and farther up the SWF Ladder."</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> Gil choked on a shot of whiskey he'd been consuming, spitting it out. He was consumed by a manic fit of laughter. <strong>"You think Valiant, in some 'lternate universe, could play a complex character?" </strong></p><p> <strong>"No."</strong> stated Larry. <strong>"He'll be playing that role long after he retires. It's who he is. Disgustingly goody-goody. Valiant makes Mr. Faith look like a sinner, on and off screen."</strong></p><p> Larry looks over the various statistics cataloging the wrestlers. He quickly notices an omission. <strong>"Gil, it seems you forgot somebody. A pretty grave omission."</strong></p><p> Gil Thomas was perplexed. He? Forgot someone in the personal write-up? <strong>"I'm a busy boy, Larry, we don't yet have someone to crunch the numbers". </strong></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37875" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/SteveFrehley_zps687b0fa3.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> <strong>"I'm afraid you left out the Dark Destroyer, Steve Frehley, in your Main Event Roster Overview. Frehley is a bruiser. His Achilles heel is that he gets gassed early in matches. Frehley could improve this skill as he's only thirty. Steve is a straight brawler whose Charisma and "It Factor" pushed him to an SWF title and a permanent spot on the main event. He's slipped a bit in the past year, playing sidekick to Richard's best friend Christian Faith."</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> <strong>"Gotta double-check your work, Gil. Remember to double-check. To your credit, he has been on the upper midcard for a bit this year." said Larry.</strong></p><p> Both men were relieved to be done with the Main Event of SWF. It was, by far, the most thorough part of the review. <strong>"Larry" </strong>stated Gil. <strong>"I need a smoke break I'll tell you what. I'm fiendin' for a whiff of nicotine". </strong></p><p> The two friends agreed to meet back in the Head Booker's office in fifteen minutes. The hard part, emotionally, was finished.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Logo_zpsa91bf006.png</span></div><p></p><p></p>

Gil Thomas Residence, Head Bookers' Office, August Week 4 Tuesday

Larry Vessey continued to re-check his list. This was the second time through the list of eighty-plus wrestlers who were on the roster. Many of the names were recent call-ups or signings from smaller feds.

"Gil" stated Larry "Dick Eisen designed this plan to break wrestling, to destroy the product worldwide. He's signed stars, relatives of stars, and foriegn stars. More importantly, he's filled his development fed with future stars on long-term deals."

"Dick wants to 'own' wrestling. The entire business, Gil. That is what USPW is up against."

Gil looked at the name on the fresh printout which Larry had created. "A lot more foreign names on this roster. I've heard of most of these guys, and that isn't necessarily a good thing."

SWF Midcard, US Regional Stars

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Know%20The%20Enemy/SWFRegionalStars_zps4e9e0b69.png

Eisaku Kunomasu, C- Overness

Eisaku Kunomasu is the most over midcard SWF wrestler in the US. He's had only a handful of matches, but his workman style and plethora of skills have gotten him over with the fans, as was his several years of experience in PGHW. His age, 43, and inexperience with the English language will prevent him from reaching the main event. He teams with Eisaku Hoshino as 'Konumasu & Hoshino', and are in the running for the SWF Tag Team Straps.

Acid, D+ Overness

Acid is a well traveled wrestler. The Canadian cruiser-weight began his career in Japan before being picked up by Phil Vilberts' Dave, returning to WLW before being snatched up by the Supreme Wrestling Federation. Acid specializes in high-flying maneuvers and utilizes his solid basics to win over the fans. He lacks the entertainment skills to move up the card.

Donnie J, D+ Overness

Donnie J was brought in to provide a tag partner-slash-ally for James Prudence's monster push. Donnie J is a solid high flyer with decent entertainment skills. He is able to fill the limited role on the SWF roster and at 35 is not able to rise above.

Duane Stone, D Overness

Duane Stone is part of NOTBPW's Stone family. Duane Stone was hired to bolster the tag partner with Edd Stone as "The Flying Stones". Duane is more talented than his younger brother, mixing his excellent technical skills with considerable flash and average high-flying. His entertainment skills, which are a bit limited, are passable in the fed. He's got considerable mileage at 39 yet still has gas left in his tank.

Dan DeLay, D Overness

Dan DeLay was the muscle in CGC's ELITE Stable. DeLay is the most over, yet least talented, member of the group. DeLay is a one-dimensional brawler whose skillset is below-par. He has no entertainment skills to speak of and will likely be depushed. His tag partner, 'Fabulous' Eddie Chandler, completes the 'ELITE' tag team, and the duo has been given a decent push.

'Fabulous' Eddie Chandler, D Overness

The second member of the Elite Tag Team, Chandler is the most talented of the stable. Eddie is a classic mat technician who incorporates plenty of flash into his game. His entertainment skills are above average and his basics are great. Chandler is 39 and will soon start down the path to time decline.

'Shooter' Sean Deeley, D- Overness

'Shooter' Sean Deeley is an expert mat wrestler who twice won the Canadian National Collegiate Championship. The 'Shooter' lacks the skills to thrive in professional wrestling. His charisma has improved over the years, but his matches lack the 'It' quality at this point in his career. At 28, Deeley will improve, and could get a main event push in SWF during his peak.

<p>I like how you've gone in a completely different direction than most with USPW. No Nicky Champion? *I shudder to think* But it makes for very compelling shows, utilizing what you have (admittedly not bad, since you still have Enygma, Caulfield and Justice, along with Baine's and T-Rex's menace).</p><p> </p><p>

How many of the guys are in time decline?</p><p> </p><p>

And are Vessey/Thomas scouting some of the lower level talent to bring in who could be major players? Or are the SWF segments designed to show the machine that you are up against?</p>

Gil Thomas Residence, Head Bookers' Office, August Week 4 Tuesday

Larry Vessey began to read the next names on the list. He cycles through the names in his head. The best prospects in the business, cornerstones of the international wrestling scene, and third and forth generation legacies from far-off lands.

"Gil" stated Larry "prepare to do some cryin', this one is going to be hard to get through".

Gil had one or two or three or more, he was sloshin' the whiskey around in his shot glass graced with the insignia of Invincible Pro Wrestling. "Al'ight, Larry, I'm ready to go. Let's get this over with."

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Know%20The%20Enemy/SWFRegionalLevel_zps22480cd0.png

Takayuki 2000, Face

SWF's most prominent Japanese worker was signed while Heavyweight Champion in the Japanese promotion Golden Canvas Grappling. The japanese wrestler known as Takayuki 2000 is the undisputed best all-around worker SWF poached from Japan. Takayuki's skill set stands out in no particular area, but he is above-average in nearly every category, and his best tool is his stamina. Takayuki has natural charisma and can work a terrific promo in either his native tongue of Japanese or English.

"How many champions did they poach?" stated Gil in a slightly hostile manner.

"Just 2 I can count. 21CW and GCG." This wasn't the whole story. "A lot of former champions were signed by Dick Eisen" finished Larry.

Hiroaki Nagkasawa, Heel

The H-Bomb, a staple of Japans' Top Promotion Burning Hammer of The Wrestling Gods, joined SWF in January. He's a straightforward all-rounder who relies on his imposing physique and strength to get over. His brawling skills are near-unmatched in wrestling. H-Bomb is hugely over in his own country, but his age and stamina have limited him to a midcard role in SWF.

Matthew Keith, Face

The Keith twins were both signed to the SWF in August. Matthew Keith has yet to wrestle in the Supreme Federation, but his work on the American Independent scene has already developed a solid fan base. His performance skills and technical work are extremely impressive for a young lion, and his natural charisma should get him over quickly.

"I have to think that Sam Kieth wanted his sons to end up in SWF." Larry stated. "He always had class as a professional, and enjoyed the spotlight of the big stage."

Gil was less enthused. "Sam was ousted unfairly from the bookers' position 'cause he didn't lay down for Dick Eisen. He may very well be happy to see his sons wrestle in Supreme, but [Richard Eisen] took advantage of him. He wanted a yes-man, and got that in Peter Michaels." Gil was slurring his increasingly angry voice.

'Hollywood' Brett Starr, Heel

Hollywood Brett Star is part of "Evolution" with upper midcarder Jay Chord. The two legacy talents are similar: they are young, talented headcases who can capture a crowd. Hollywood is less talented, but younger, than Chord. Brett Star has immense talent and promise but at this stage it is hard to see his role increasing.

Pharaoh King, Heel

Pharaoh King is one half of the Mexican ex-SOTBPW tag division staple "The Golden Kings." He is a decent, and well traveled, Luchador whose Charisma is his best tool. He was on the cusp of the main event in several Mexican promotions but never stood out as a worker.

Adam Matravers, Face

Adam "Mile-High" Matravers is the only man to have held the triple crown of British 21CW Wrestling: He's a former tag team, national and world champion. Matravers is a classic-high flier in both his great aerial ability and flashy yet average in-ring work and his lack of both psychology and stamina. Matravers' is a 'wrestlers' wrestler' lacking the charisma or entertainment skills to stand out in SWF. He has received a solid initial push due to his overness in Britain.

Magnum Kobe, Heel

Magnum Kobe is a name cherished by fans of the Japanese Wrestling Scene. The crown jewel of World Level Wrestling has faced off several times with Emerald Angel for the WLW crown. He was signed at the end of a three-year, 20 defense title reign for the Cult-Level Japanese company. At 29, he is still improving, but already possesses great aerial skill, impressive basics, and has the look and feel of a future star. His promo work is particularly excellent. Magnum has the look and feel of a huge star on a roster filled with excellent wrestlers. SWF have yet to give him a proper push, as Magnum has spent most of the year jobbing out to the stars.

Eisaku Hoshino, Heel

Eisauku Hoshino is a former PGHW Star who left the business for politics in 2009. SWF, wanting to put over fellow wrestler Eisaku Kunomasu, were able to lure him back into the business for a year-long run. Hoshino is an incredibly talented wrestler whose in-ring blandness may hold him back. At 40 years, Hoshino is about to enter his decline phase, but his powerful brawling style and solid mat work should keep him employed if he chooses to continue wrestling.

Marshall Dillon, Face

"Cowboy" Marshall Dillion is a former RIPW talent who came into Supreme mid-way through last year. His skills are a work in progress, and compared to his competition, Marshall is lacking in every area. He's already reached 26 at a 7 years in the business, he's unlikely to improve to the point necessary to deserve his current push in his career. His size and tough western look keep him in the business.

"He gives Peter and Dick a tingly, special feeling." said Gil, jokingly. "That has to be why he's been given his current push."

"To be fair, part of [the push] is his stay on the SWF Roster." said a stern Larry. "Still, Hollywood Brett Star and Eisaku Kunomasu shouldn't be putting him over. He's a career midcarder, in my estimation, and it's going to take a lot to change my mind on Dillon."

Nelson Callum, Heel

One half of the Philly Blondes with Ash Campbell, Nelson Callum has enjoyed a solid indie career before signing with the SWF in March. The 26-year old East Coast Indie Veteran fits the SWF Mold: He's passable in the ring, has good basics, and is an excellent entertainer. Callum has recieved a good push in SWF, racking up four victories in a row as of tonight.

He looked at the next name on the list. Larry hated to be the bearer of bad news.

Ash Campbell, Heel

Ash Campbell is a worker from the eastern scene who has gotten over on his pretentious artist gimmick. He is the son of hardcore east coast legend John "Nemesis" Campbell and shares his love, but not his talent in, Hardcore Wrestling. He can team with fellow heels Matthew Keith and Nelson Callum on the SWF Roster. Campbell is a solid worker whose pedigree should guarantee a solid future.

Gil was fuming. He had forgotten, temporarily, the son of his good friend Nemesis had been signed by the enemy. "Eisen, you ***damned b******! Ash is loaded with talent, and you sign him to spoil away on the shelf! You have a lot of nerve for such a skinny man, why I ought to..." Gil's voice turned to incoherent mumbling as he downed a shot of straight whiskey from his IPW commemorative cup.

"He just put Marshall Dillion over at the last show." said Larry, blurting out a part of his notes that should have remained secret.

"Eisen, I swear, next time I see you, I'm going to give you an earful, you sniveling rat!" loudly said Gil.

Gil had known Ash Campbell since he was a teenager. He'd taken a liking to the young son of nemesis, and many of Gil's mannerisms had rubbed off on Ash, and Ash became a very different wrestler from his father John. Gil was known as the inspiration behind Ash's character.

Larry knew now was not the time to mention that Ash would never reach the main event. He quickly cleared his mind, moving onto the next wrestler.

Multimillionario, Heel

Multimillionario is the youngest, and more talented half, of the Mexican ex-SOTBPW tag team The Golden Kings. "The Golden Luchador is an athletic, exciting high-flier whose daring aerial maneuvers can really heat up the crowd. His performance skills and on-camera work are superb for a 27-year old wrestler. Multimillionario could be a star in the Supreme Federation given time.

Spencer Spade, Face

Spencer Spade is one of the biggest stars ever to arrive out of the Professor-Nero era RIPW. The young 24-year old already has above-average in-ring skills and is incredibly versatile. "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade excels at capturing a crowd, with terrific entertainment skills. He's been used mostly as a curtain jerker for SWF.

Seiji Jimbo, Heel [Masked, as Gold Scarab]

Seiji Jimbo is the son of Japanese Legend Sadahura Jimbo and the protege of Japanese Legend and fellow SWF Midcarder Eisaku Kunomasu. The SWF chose upon signing him to mask Jimbo and put him in a stable with the Golden Kings. He's been used exclusively as jobber during his SWF run, taking choice few victories. Jimbo is a solid wrestler who relies on his strength to get over, which may limit his upside on the heavyweight-laden SWF Roster.

Gino Montero, Face

Gino Montero is one of two sons of Mexican tenico legend, Luis Montero Sr. The SWF swept up both sons to be part of the Tag Team Division. The younger Montero brother is big for a luchador, and has solid performance skills. His entertainment skills and high-flying maneuvers make for a stunning combination, though Gino needs to brush up on his English to be a star in the SWF.

Gil had been reduced to mumbling. "You know what Dick Eisen and a 25-year old ex-porn star from Vegas moving into your neighborhood have in common? They're both liable to cheat and tear families apart."

Larry tried to reason with the increasingly intoxicated ex-IPW owner. "Aren't you being harsh on the porn star, Gil?"

Gil was too wasted to respond. Mrs. Thomas was headed down the stairs. She called for "Gil" as she descended to help her drunken husband to bed.

Swoop McCarthy, Face

Swoop McCarthy is one of the choice new signings that has both the size and the skills long sought by the SWF heads. His in-ring skills are only solid, but the young brawler makes up for it with his scathingly good promos and terrific star quality. SWF has used Swoop as a jobber so far, but the 26-year old could be a huge star in the future.

Gil passively resisted his better half as she removed him from the room, escorting him up to bed. Larry sat, in his thoughts, reading through the various names on the 85-plus man SWF roster plus the two leagues worth of developmental workers. He'd heard of all the names, similar young foreign workers fighting for a spot in Eisen's fed. Larry quietly mourned for the future of the international business.

Larry Vessey poured himself a shot of Whiskey, draining the shot quickly and turned himself into bed.

The lack of training institution(s) and the lack of exposure seems to limit the amount of workers Eisen chose to sign. The workers who were signed to SWF didn't fit the 'Supreme Way' of working, and seem to need extended seasoning in development. Captain Wrestling II and Mirror Universe John Gordon both achieved quick success as they were powerful brawlers with great entertainment skills, and were called up to the roster quickly. Talent such as WWA:US Tour's Devilfish and Pumpkin Jack are high-fliers, and SWF has less of a proven track record. SWF seems to have taken the best and brightest from Australia, and in a scene where many stars are young, Eisen's talent raids could doom the Australian wrestling scene.</div></blockquote><p> </p><div The USPW tour bus was on route to the hangar in Southeast Tennessee. Gil was cheap, sure, but at the least he provided private flights to far-off locales. Of course, the planes were purchased discount, and delays occasionally happened.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/GilThomas_zps815e84cc.png</span><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/LarryVessey_zps324b064a.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Gil was near the back of the tour bus with USPW head booker Larry Vessey. </p><p>

<strong>"Larry" </strong>states Gil. <strong>"the problem in this business, people don't just trust each other. You trust me, Larry?" </strong>he continued. "<strong>I work for you, Larry Vessey, and I wouldn't have it any other way. We're going to make lots of money together."</strong></p><p>

<strong>"I wanted to show you my newest innovation." </strong>Gil hits a switch on the USPW tour bus, and a compartment widens, a computer screen and a digital database rising out of the floorboard. Two seats, resembling those used by Captain Spock in the popular early 70s cartoon Star Trek, pup out of the floor with a metal pirate-esque steering wheel in front of them.</p><p>

<strong>"This" </strong>stated Gil <strong>"is the captain's quarters"</strong>. Gil inserts a prompt for general improvements, and the file is retrieved quickly from the database.</p><p>

<strong>"I've read over the improvements list. Have you contacted Jimmy [Geordie, the former British wrestler] and Rob [Rob Brown, known as British Samurai]?" </strong>Larry had vouched for taking over a smaller, failing company for a development territory, but Gil vouched for a personal USPW rendition.</p><p>

<strong>"They're pleased to sell the Ring of Fire Brand to USPW."</strong> stated Larry, unflinchingly. "<strong>I'm trying to get either Rob or Geordie involved with the brand." </strong></p><p>

Larry moved to the next item. <strong>"I've started the search for an owner for the House of Strong, the USPW dojo. The production guys have secured a location, and are seeking applicants as we speak."</strong></p><p>

The bus lurched to a slow stop as it reached the private hangar.</p><p>

"Larry, it's sweltering out here, let's move inside for show preparations." With that, both partners moved into the offices of the private airport. Vehicles packed with USPW wrestlers filled the parking lot, and the spangled buses hummed a patriotic hymn in abstract form.</p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>USPW Tour Bus, August Week 4 Thursday</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

As the clock struck one, the work of USPW Head Booker Larry Vessey was not done.</p><p>

Larry Vessey was on the phone with the agent for TCW Talent Mighty Mo.</p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/LarryVessey_zps324b064a.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<strong>"So, Mighty Mo has agreed to leave TCW for USPW? We've got big plans your client. I won't let you down, sir."</strong></p><p>

A loud knock was at the door. <strong>"I'll call you later. I have business to attend."</strong> Larry Vessey prepared himself for the confrontation to come. He hung up the phone. </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Workers/JamesJustice_zps95e0e51e.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p>

James Justice kicked open the door. He walks towards Larry, fuming, incensed about the outcome of that night's match.</p><p>

<strong>"What do you want from me, Justice?"</strong> stated Larry. He has a cold, tense stare on his face. Larry is emotionless. </p><p>

<strong>"You... you left me out to dry! I could've been injured, my career could've ended, Larry! Give me, James Justice, one reason you should remain head booker, after putting your lead babyface in harm's way."</strong></p><p>

<strong>"James, do you want to hld the strap, to be the face of the company, like you were in TCW? You haven't held a belt in six years, and in that time, six other men have hoisted that golden monument to our country in the air."</strong></p><p>

<strong>"If you want to hold that belt, you play by my rules."</strong></p><p>

James Justice glared at his boss. </p><p>

<strong>"I'll play by your rules, Larry, but you better deliver, or your *** is grass."</strong></p><p>

Justice walked out. Larry snuffed out his cigar in the ashtray. He proceeded to work on the new development promotion, ROF, making calls to former owners British Samurai and Gorgeous Geordie. </p><p>

Great show. Like the idea of Chris Caulfield leading a DaVE-inspired stable. Also love the renders and the matching headbands.

Extreme = Ash Campbell?

Extreme is Jack Griffith. I re-branded the old Hardcore Americans stable. I have a few other former DaVe guys on tap soon to join, so hopefully they'll be entertaining -- there's only so far Caulfield can take these guys 4+ years into his time decline.

It was inspired by the 24/7 Party Dudez getup. I couldn't get detail on smaller renders -- I'll have the two or three re-renders I used in the thank you section.

I'm using character changes as an excuse to change renders, and Vessey has more up his creative sleeve in the not-to-distant future (had to get the whole developmental stuff in-game to where I wanted it to work in-story, so i'm about a month ahead of where I want to be).

USPW Bus, Hangar, September Week 2 Wednesday

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/GilThomas_zps815e84cc.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/USPW%20Staff/LarryVessey_zps324b064a.png

Larry Vessey opened the door to his private office. "Fancy seeing you here" stated Vessey. World Champion Tyson Baine had arrived earlier with USPW Owner Gil Thomas.

"Larry, I request you have a seat" stated Gil. Tyson Baine, sitting next to him, was fuming.

Larry sat down. "What can I do for you gentleman?" he asked the two. The agitated World Champion started.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Workers/TysonBaine_zps7542fb78.png

"Not book like a **** fool. Larry, you promised me the heel turn before last week would be a headline-making angle." He holds up text of an exclusive shoot by James Justice about last weeks' main event. It reads Careless Booking: The Angle That Nearly Ended My Carrer. "Well, it was, but not in a positive way". Larry knew Tyson from his time in TCW as BLZ Bubb. He was not a compassionate person. Baine was quick to prove him right when he changed the subject. "I represent this company as World Champion. I lost to a midcarder in god**** Puerto Rico. I give two ***** if he's beaten Sam Strong, Dread, Jack Bruce in that dim-lighted trap of an arena."

Larry appeared to be drifting off. "Listen here, Mr. Vessey, I'm booked to defend the World Title in Presidents' Hall at United States of Pain with no momentum. If you give Power the straps in that glorified chicken coop, I'm walkin' out."

Tyson wasn't going anywhere with the argument. Both Gil and Larry saw that. Gil stated "Tyson, there's a bonus waiting in your account for you to spend. Larry and I have business to attend to, so if we could be granted privacy, I would appreciate it."

Tyson finished. He seemed happy at the settlement. Baine exited hastily, closing the van door behind him.

Gil stared at Larry.

"Kinda hard on Puerto Rico, wasn't he?" stated Larry. Larry had picked President's Hall due to the historic presence of the arena, great atmosphere and environment. But because only 5,000 fit, Tyson saw it as bush league. The golden rule of booking is to mix kayfabe and reality.

"It don't matter whether or not Baine was hard on Puerto Rico." growled an agitated Gil Thomas. "Frankly, the booking you've made has been shaky at best. Worse, our main attractions have looked weak. Larry, United States of Pain better be the PPV of your life, or I'm going to personally drive this bus to the Nashville unemployment office, and kick your New York *** out where you gotta fend for yourself."

Larry straightens his posture out. He looks at Gil in the eyes, tearing up a bit. "I won't let you down, sir" he says. "United States of Pain! will be the best PPV of the year, you can bet on it".

Gil took in the atmosphere. "I'll hold you to your word, Larry." Gil left Larry to the office in the USPW Bus.

USPW PRESENTS APPLE PIE AND WRESTLING

LIVE FROM PRESIDENT'S HALL! WEEK 2 SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 2014

SOLD OUT ARENA: 5,000 AMERICAN WRESTLING FANS PRESENT

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/Baine_zps2c9b95b0.png

Baine opens the arena, holding a microphone. "Sovereign Territory of Puerto Rico! Perhaps I have been too hard on you, perhaps somewhere on this tiny, desolate location, there are roads to travel..." he pauses for reaction "miniscule, unkempt dirt roads, with far too many rocks." Baine can barely project his voice over the boos. "As a sign of my American generosity, I will allow a local talent, who has learned his wrestling upon mats of woven sugar cane, to challenge for..."

Corona plays and the crowd erupts into cheers for "The People's Champion" Puerto Rican Power. He runs down the left entrance ramp, punches Baine in the face, and announces his intentions.

"I accept, you uncultured mullet-wearing swine!" Puerto Rican Power slams the microphone, and takes in the love of the hometown crowd.

We start with a warm-up match between two adversaries in the women’s division: Alicia Strong’s partner Lora “American Woman” Lora Washington and Sneer Corp.’s Nadia Snow. The match is closely fought, ropes are run, and both opponents maintain a high speed pace. Sneer uses his trademark cane to trip the “American Woman” as Nadia Snow builds up a head of steam, jumping over Washington, and landing a corkscrew moonsault off the ropes, and rolling her adversary up in the snow ball. Nadia Snow pins “American Woman” for a quick three count.

Womens’ division action continues with the PPV debut of highly touted Lilly and Rose. The two tag partners operate in an old-fashioned manner mimicking the mannerisms of one another as they enter the ring. Total Eclipse, former AAA Tag Team Champions, engage in a heavy brawling style. Lily moves through a variety of hand-stands and somersaults, executing cruiserweight moves, and nimbly avoids punches from Gorgon, who is gassed early and makes a quick tag. Cherry Bomb, the experienced former champion comes out, and launches a hard right, but Kate Lilly rolls out of her way, running the ropes and executing a high kick on Cherry Bomb, tagging in her partner Debbie Rose, who is preparing a thorn cutter from the ropes, smashes Cherry Bomb to the apron and covers for the win.

“Triple B” as he likes to be called enters the arena to some pretty bad fanfare and Hinder’s Lips of an Angel booming in the background. He’s up against Mick Muscles entering into the crescendo that is Lagwagon’s Making Friends. Mick spends the match attempting, in vain, to get his opponent to brawl, but Bobbie runs the ropes, using agility to outmaneuver his opponent, finishing a rope run with the inverted DDT. Muscles struggled to his feet but was blindsided by Bobbie Beau’s Murder on the Dancefloor from the left turnbuckle. Bobbie Beau covered for a three count, leaving the stunned fans to watch the face lay in silence.

Billy Russell, despite his status as a heel, received the hero’s welcome in this bout, getting standing ovation as “Punks Jump Up To Get Beat Down” blares through the speakers in President’s Hall. The Future enters to Bad Astronaut’s “The Passenger” indicating that he is no longer the no-name jobber he portrayed at the last PPV. The Future is really selling his gimmick in this battle, pointing towards the crowd constantly and moving with awkward bouts of dexterity. The match was a technical bout with both wrestlers on the ground, with Billy Russell getting the advantage reversing a headlock hold into a half nelson, forcing The Future to tap out.

Demelza Wade enters to "Come On Eileen" with manager Shane Sneer. It's Sneer who grabs the microphone. "She calls herself the son of Sam", Sneer quickly positions his partner to speak. Delemeza quips "She could pass for one, she's got her father's brow and her father's STRONG chin" Demelza gives the microphone back to Shane Sneer. "That is why, Puerto Rico, The Sneer Corporation is ordering a recall on the Women's Titles! Demelza here is more woman than Alicia can handle, and will give the Son of Sam the fight of" emphasis on this word "Her" brief pause for effect "LIFE!"

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Titles/Banner1_zpsbc81d8eb.png

"And we've got six-man tag team action on the way!" states secondary Announcer Rock Downpour. Ernie Turner continues "but who will the Prophet from the faraway Mideastern shore chose as allies?" The query is answered quickly as "Riders of the Storm" plays, as the television champion enters flanked by the Tag Team Champions Savage Fury.

"Caution" by Operation Ivy plays and Danger, Violence and Extreme flood the ring, posing on top of steel chairs and holding a barbed wired board. "Violence" Caulfield cuts himself open to the boos of the traditional USPW fanbase. Blood trickles into his eyes. The match is quick to descend into a brawl. Cornish, lead announcer, explains "participants can be eliminated either over the top rope or by pinfall" as 'Extreme' Griffith topples the heavy Tribal Warrior over the top rope for the first elimination. Freddie Datsun and Chris Caulfield have some experience as tag teams, and are quick to team up on Ishmael, with Datsun blindsiding him and "Violence" Caufield able to set up the Danger Drop, but Ishmael reverses it into a body-to-body suplex, using Violence as a weapon against his Extremely Violent Partner, Danger! The force carries Danger over the top rope, his momentum getting the best of him! The two run ropes, with Caulfield ducking under both opponents, and partners collide in the ring. Java gets into a heated argument with Ishmael, eventually spearing and unleashing several punches on the TV Champion. Caulfield climbs the top rope, and tries for a frog splash but Ishmael reverses Caulfield's daring dive into a sunset flip, getting a clean three on a roll-up pin!

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Titles/Banner3_zps2986512e.png

"American Woman" by The Who boomed across the speakers enticing the crowd into a frenzy of cheers. The "Son of Sam" had arrived, entering the ring to huge applause, with her Women's Champion slung over her shoulder. Her opponent, the "Jewel" of SneerCo., entered to "Come On Eileen" by Save Ferris, and was accompanied by a cigar-chewing, fedora wearing Shane Sneer.

The match was heated, with both opponents taking each other to the mat quickly. Both wrestlers had solid basics but the stronger Alicia managed to force Demelza Wade to the mat, putting her into a submission that had Demelza hit a rope break. The two ran the ropes, with Alicia sliding under a hard clothesline, and hit a jump kick on the charging Demelza Wade. Alicia took a moment to amp up the crowd, but Demelza was quick to get up quickly. The two ran the ropes again, with Sneer intentionally tripping Alicia so she was prone to a German Suplex. Demelza gets the two count, but a furious Lady Strong throws Wade off, and starts to hit a flurry of punches on the challenger, knocking Wade into the turnbuckle before hitting the Angel Driver from the ropes, and covering Sneer's Client to defend her Women's Championship!

The go-home match is the World Title Match, hotly anticipated, between Baine and National Hero Puerto Rican Power. The match beings with a thirty second test of strength, with Puerto Rican Power pushing his opponent towards the ropes and the world champion has fallen off balance! Puerto Rican Power nails his opponent and lays in several hard punches before Baine hits a low blow, gaining some momentum. The two grapplers circle the ring for a minute each taunting punches before Puerto Rican Power manages to slap on his Atomic Full Nelson. Baine is able to get a rope break. The two run the ropes, once, with Baine hitting a monster chokeslam on the challenger. The crowd gasps. Puerto Rican Power makes a comeback, hitting several punches and knocking his opponent off balance, but Baine sets up a clothesline, and begins to set up his finisher, diving off the top rope for the devastating Hades Bomb. Baine covers the prone Puerto Rican Power for a three-count. The defending champion proudly holds his championship aloft defiant to the hostile crowd.

http://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/Baine_zps2c9b95b0.pnghttp://i1316.photobucket.com/albums/t602/SoulshineSeeker/United%20States%20of%20Pro%20Wrestling/Worker%20Photos/PuertoRicanPower_zpsc836bb6f.png

Baine does Sam Strong's infamous spot where he pretends to be deaf, motioning a hand towards his ear, from the turnbuckle. Puerto Rican Power is struggling to his feet as Baine turns around, and hits a Hades Bomb on the fallen challenger, bloodying Power, and returns to his feet cockily outstretching his arms. Power gets on one knee, and Baine charges him, hits a running knee on Puerto Rican Power, glides to the opposite rope, rebounding with an running elbow right into Power's face, unleashing a barrage of punches on the national hero. Baine stops only when paramedics enter the arena, blood of another man covering his fists, struts up the right exit ramp in a slow, defiant manner. Puerto Rican Power is stretchered into the ambulance.
