WCW V.S. WWF Monday Night Wars 1998-????

Recommended Posts

Me (CPBHBK) and Daulten6 will be taking on a two player WCW V.S. WWF Dynasty starting in 1998, when the WWF started picking up a little momentum and where WCW started to see some future defeat in the War.

WCW had many star powered talent like Hogan, Sting, Nash, Hall, Savage and others. While WWF was lead by Michaels, Austin, Taker, and some other talents that have bright futures. In this Dynasty where Daulten6 will be WWF and I will be WCW we will take a look inside the Monday Night Wars as we go one-on-one with each as we go head-to-head on Monday's.

This will be a great dynasty to reminisce on the old days back in the Attitude Era when there was always the Big Two always WCW and WWF. Back when Wrestling was the hottest thing around and when Vince McMahon always made sure of the best possible product for the fans was put on TV every Monday Night, or Sunday Night for all the Wrestling fans that watched. Back when WCW was always the live cutting-edge product that you had to tune in and watch to see just what would happen.

This is the war for wrestling supremacy this is....

WCW Background

In 1997 WCW Ruled by Ted Turner and booked by Eric Bischoff ruled the Wrestling Word with Vince McMahon’s WWF or World Wrestling Federation as a clear number two. WCW and WWF were enthralled in something legendary called the Monday Night Wars where WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Monday Night Raw would go against each other in the ratings to see which company was better.

Now WCW’s plan when Nitro first came about was stealing established talent from WWF such as, Lex Luger, Alundra Blaze, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, etc. The biggest of the workers WCW had stolen was Nash and Hall who came over in a takeover angle as there WWF characters Diesel and Razor Ramon. Nash and Hall would then make an alliance with Hulk Hogan (Hollywood Hogan) and they would form the New World Order or NWO for short. The NWO’s goal was to takeover WCW, and with new members every week it looked like they actually would. But at the end of 1997 the NWO’s leader Hollywood Hogan would lose the World Title to Sting who was pretty much the leader of the charge against the NWO and this would drive a wedge between the NWO especially after Hogan lost a rematch a day later on Nitro.

But now to behind the scenes, Behind the Scenes WCW was a mess, people had creative control, hiring vetos, Wage Matching, and gigantic egos. The majority of the Main Eventers were past thirty-five and many of the younger talent were fed up with never having a chance to get over.

On New Years Day of 1997 after drinking a little to much at a party Eric Bishcoff had an epiphany in his dream. He saw the WWF reigning supreme in the ratings and WCW dying in the winds. He saw young WCW talent like Chris Jericho, The Giant, Eddy Guerreo, Raven, Chris Benoit and others in WWF, and saw WCW plagued with Booker T, Goldberg, Ric Flair still, Hogan still, Nash still, Hall still, DDP still, and no other no talent at the top. He began seeing Vince and Shane McMahon on WCW TV and seeing WCW Nitro go away forever. Before Bischoff Woke up he finally saw him hugging Vince McMahon on Raw, and then woke up in a sweat.

Bischoff's Booking Diary

January 1st 1998 6:29 AM

"I just had the weirdest dream, I had a dream that WCW would die because of me not getting new talent over. WCW would then be bought by WWF and I would join WWF.

That can't happen, WCW will be the global phenom of Wrestling. But maybe I should put over some younger talent just to make sure we have a future for the Main Event. I should call a Booking Meeting, to get opinions on the guys we should push."

(Bischoff picks up the phone and call Kevin Sullivan.)

(Kevin Picks up after a while)

Kevin Sullivan- Hello?

Bischoff- Hi Kevin it's Eric, Just wanted to tell you to alert the rest of the team that there will be a meeting tomorrow at Noon at the Headquarters. We'll be discussing young wrestlers to push.

Kevin Sullivan-- And why couldn't this wait until the sun rose? I was sleeping.

Bischoff- Sorry Kevin, just tell the team. Tomorrow at noon.

Kevin Sullivan- Wait did you say something about pushing young talent? I never thought I'd hear you say that Eric. Who's giving you a hard time? Nash, Hogan, Hall?

Bishcoff- None of them, I just want to be set for the future and want to be ready for Vince to fire back at us with some good programming. We shouldn't get ahead of our self, we shouldn't be cocky, Vince has young talent that could eventually overcome Hogan's and Sting's Popularity. We should be ready for the worse with WWF.

Kevin Sullivan- I don't think WWF has a chance, we got them in the palm of our hands. We will crush WWF and WCW will be the number one promotion in the World.

Bischoff- But we should be ready for the worse.... Just tell the team that theres a meeting tomorrow Kevin. Bye.

(Eric hangs up.)

<div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">WCW Booking Meeting</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

Booking Committee </p><p>

(Eric Bischoff, Kevin Sullivan, Arn Anderson, Terry Taylor, and JJ Dillon)</p><p> </p><p>

January 2nd 1998 11:56 PM</p><p> </p><p>

WCW Headquarters</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eric Bischoff-</span></strong> Since everyone's here we'll start. I hope Kevin told you all what we are here to discuss. If he didn't well then let me tell you we are here to discuss pushes for young future talent. We need a young future, we can't just depend on the Older star powered guys forever. We need to expect the worse from Vince. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">JJ Dillon</span></strong>-I agree, of course I think we'll all agree that Goldberg is the head of WCW's young future. Am I wrong?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Terry Taylor-</span></strong> He's thirty-one though, if we want to pull the trigger on Goldberg we should do it soon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Kevin Sullivan-</span></strong> I expect that we will, I mean the fans are behind his Animal like persona and I think he is a World Champion guy. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Arn Anderson- </span></strong> He's has the physical ability and the look of a World Champion so I wouldn't be surprised if he is the face of the company in a year or two.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eric Bischoff</span></strong>- Bill is defiantly the top of the list of WCW's future stars. Who else do you guys think has potential? </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Terry Taylor-</span></strong> I have an idea maybe we could go around and say one person we think could get a push. They shouldn't be over thirty-five... so Dallas Page is out.</p><p> </p><p>

(Everyone laughs)</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eric Bischoff-</span></strong> Good idea Terry, so Arn who should be pushed? </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Arn Anderson-</span></strong> Booker, I think he has loads of potential and great talent. We'll see how he works on his own since Stevie is still injured.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Kevin Sullivan-</span></strong> Booker is a good choice but my pick is Benoit. He has extremely great talent and I think he could be the face of the company.</p><p> </p><p>

(Everyone looks at Kevin kind of weird)</p><p> </p><p>

Just because he married my ex-wife doesn't mean I don't think he is a great future Main Event talent.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eric Bischoff-</span></strong> Ok? Benoit and Booker are two really top pretty young talented guys. Really think they could have a future in the Main Event. </p><p>

Who's Next? Terry you go.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Terry Taylor-</span></strong> Jericho has great charisma, and very well be the next Piper or Flair in terms of Charisma. He can incite crowd so easy and will be a great heel in the future for WCW. That's why I think we should turn him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">JJ Dillon-</span></strong> I guess I'm last to go, uhh... let's see what about Rey Mysterio Jr? He could be a great underdog, overcoming some lower Main Eventers to see how the fans get behind him. He could be a great merchandise seller too if he does get over because of his Mask.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eric Bischoff-</span></strong> I like it. So Rey Mysterio, Jericho, Benoit, and Booker. Hopefully we can get someone to work with some of these guys later in the year and get some of them over to see how they work out. </p><p>

Good meeting guys, anyone want to suggest anything since were all here?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Terry Taylor-</span></strong> I have an idea, Alex Wright and Disco Inferno are both in those dancing gimmicks so why not let them be a tag team. We do need another team.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Eric Bischoff-</span></strong> Yeah why not Disco and Alex aren't doing anything they'll be a team. Everyone is good no more suggestions?...</p><p> </p><p>

Ok meeting adjourned. </p><p> </p><p>

Pre-Show

Juventud Guerrera V.S. Ultimo Dragon

These two cruiserweights had a high-flying exciting match with great in-ring action, even though the crowd wasn’t into it. In the end the Dragon got the Dragon Sleeper in on Juvi and got him to tap out at 6:19.

Rating 49

Faces of Fear w/Kevin Sullivan V.S. Boogie Knights (Disco Inferno and Alex Wright)

This match was pretty much dominated by Meng and Barbarian, the few times the Boogie Knights got chances in the match to show what they’ve got there terrible chemistry ruined their chance and Meng or Barbarian started dominating. Eventually at 4:47 Meng beat Alex Wright, even though the match was in actuality quick it felt so much longer for the fans watching who were bored out of there mind.

Monday Night Raw is War

(Starting off the show following the usual pyro, DX comes out with their respective titles to large amounts of heat from the crowd. With Shawn putting the WWF title between his legs to the disgust of Jim Ross, they begin to talk in mock voices.)

Shawn: Gee Hunter, I'm surprised it could fit in there, with another piece of gold that I think at the ladies of Massachusetts in particular like!

(A very mixed reaction comes from this, but you can definitely hear high pitched cheering.)

Hunter: You're definitely right Shawn, and for all the boys booing us, I'm sure you can get a passport to travel into Chyna! But the question all of us want to know, do you plan on taking the South Flight or the North Flight?!? Now, for all of you lucky ladies out there tonight, you can see the South area of a champion! Are you ready?!?

(Teasing like they're about to undress, they are interrupted as Ken Shamrock's music hits to a very good reaction from the sold out arena on Massachusetts.)

Ken Shamrock: Ladies, ladies, I suggest you keep your pants on, especially you Shawn, because tonight, you go one on one with the World's Most Dangerous Man! Tonight you make the choice if you tap, or you snap!

(A very angry looking DX argues in the ring as the announcers hype the Rock vs Vader for the Intercontinental Title, which starts now!)

"It's Time!"

(While Vader is pacing around the stage, Ross and Lawler hype that there might be some tension in the Nation of Domination as Farooq and the Rock are both arguing who should be the leader. Jerry says the Rock should be the leader with his good looks of a movie star. With Vader looking towards the ramp way, we go to commercial)

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oQiNhhl5IAo/U6iJMC8KYrI/AAAAAAAAAbE/22obO7td37Q/s1600/nwo.jpg

After the Intro of Nitro we see two limos pull up one with Hogan, Savage and Bischoff and one with all the other NWO Members

.

The First Member to exit the NWO limo is Nash who seems angry with Hogan. He starts screaming at Hogan as Hogan, Savage, and Bischoff are just walking not paying attention to the other NWO members.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OH7Sj9AflBw/U6ICckLFuaI/AAAAAAAAATk/QWqzFXsAXLI/s1600/Kevin+Nash+WCW.jpghttp://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9I1hpBrRwsQ/U6ICP2ydooI/AAAAAAAAATc/Z-oCP0e4ddc/s1600/Hulk+Hogan+nWo.jpg

Kevin Nash- What’s your deal Hogan?? Huh? Losing to Sting and then skipping out on us and making us all cram into one limo while you Macho and Bischoff take the other one all to yourself. You might have been destroyed by Sting but..,

Hollywood Hogan- I didn’t get destroyed Kevin, Sting beat me because all of you guys weren’t down there too help me win, especially after Bret Hart fast counted. After the match I didn’t see any of you down there attacking him. We’re supposed to be taking over and now we don’t have the World Title anymore and that’s on all of you guys.

Kevin Nash- All on us? Really, you’re kidding? Maybe you don’t blame the guys that helped keep the belt for over one year and instead say hmm, that you might just not have what it takes to be at the top anymore. Maybe it’s time for you to give the leadership of the NWO too someone that can win without help. Like me.

(Hogan Pushes Nash, but before anything more physical erupts, the NWO steps between the two)

We are then taken to three announcers Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, and Bobby Heenan. Who hype up the double Main Event later tonight.

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kbhvFjspWqI/U6Nrcx79WYI/AAAAAAAAAWE/x_97MYhq27U/s1600/Tony+Schiavone3.jpghttp://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iTNe1G2BWPo/U6NrjRF2qPI/AAAAAAAAAWM/xlsPBwFdwzQ/s1600/Mike+Tenay+3.jpg

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V6U9PFXuRPQ/U6NrXHEDdsI/AAAAAAAAAV8/_bufq958kxc/s1600/Bobby+Heenan+5.jpg

Tony Schiavone- Welcome ladies and gentleman to another episode of Monday Nitro, I am Tony Schiavone along with Bobby Heenan and Mike Tenay. First I wanted to ask you guys what you thought about the argument we just saw between Nash and Hogan.

Mike Tenay- This is possibly the dissension of the NWO, I mean Hogan lost the gold and now Nash doesn’t think Hogan’s a fit leader anymore. It may be the end for one of the two not only in the NWO but maybe in WCW as a whole.

Bobby Heenan- The dissension of the NWO, such a nice thought. You better not be getting my hopes up Tenay, the end of the NWO might even be better than the two Main Events later Tonight.

Tony Schiavone- I don’t know Bobby the Double Main Event we have later tonight is a doozy as in one match-up Ric Flair will face Curt Hennig who will have Rick Rude at his side in a U.S. Title Number one contender match. This coming after Hennig lost the title to Diamond Dallas Page at Starrcade, and since the number one contender match was announced Hennig’s been upset saying that he should automatically get a title rematch because he is the most deserving of a title match.

Bobby Heenan- He lost the title and is entitled to a rematch. This is a conspiracy against Curt Hennig. He is the most talented wrestler in the back the only bad choice he has ever made was joining the NWO. Other than that everything he has ever done was just perfection.

Mike Tenay- If he is perfection Bobby why did he lose the U.S. title in the first place?

Bobby Heenan- He got distracted by Page’s ugly wife Kimberly; he was on the verge of barfing anytime he saw her at ringside. He got so disoriented that he didn’t even know where he was and before he knew it he was Diamond Cuttered.

Mike Tenay- That’s terrible Bobby, Kimberly is a beautiful woman.

Bobby Heenan- If she’s so beautiful why do people change the channel when she comes on?

Tony Schiavone- Bobby stop it, now fans also later tonight we will see Scott Hall get in the ring and go one on one with the seven foot plus five hundred pounder The Giant in what should be an interesting match, considering Hall’s disadvantage.

Mike Tenay- Also no interference possibly by the NWO after what we just saw, so maybe we’ll see a clean match between Scott Hall and The Giant.

Tony Schiavone- In more blockbuster news fans, Sting who hasn’t talked in over a year will be making an open challenge later tonight to anyone in the back and whoever responds will face Sting at Souled Out for the World Title.

Mike Tenay- That could quite possibly be the biggest news in WCW history. Don’t forget about Bret Hart though, who will be making a challenge to someone specifically later tonight to be his first match in WCW.

Tony Schiavone- Well fans right now let’s get started with the first match of the night between Steven Regal and Chris Benoit.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JMbNvogM8cU/U6ICgxDlxWI/AAAAAAAAATs/2FJGOHwUXhw/s1600/Chris+Benoit+(3).jpg V.S. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qjEoRLdPki4/U6I2p03KyfI/AAAAAAAAAVM/INqN4JOu9wo/s1600/William+Regal+2.jpg

Chris Benoit V.S. Steven Regal

· Benoit and Regal are evenly matched in technical prowess and psychology; it will be interesting to see who gets the upper hand early on in the match.

· (After Regal Comes out, we go to commercial)

Intercontinental Championship Match

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-j7iKRvlcNY0/U6XkBiChi5I/AAAAAAAAAZE/LxMc3j7tGKs/s1600/The+Rock+23.jpg V.S http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3wPsGbvE5Jc/U6jN-UTJNlI/AAAAAAAAAb8/khGVpyX-tNk/s1600/Vader9.jpg

The Rock vs Vader

Vader takes several punches from The Rock, before being slammed. After a cocky 2 count from the Rock, he tries another one, but gets thrown up after an explosive 1 count from the man they can Vader! With the wave of momentum, Vader hits a bodyslam off his own, leaving the ring shaking. Vader hits several punches while Rock is on the ground, and lifting the Intercontinental Champion up, he irish whips him towards the ropes-- When out of no where, Farooq pulls the Rock out of the ring for a quick pep talk. With the ref distracted and telling the Rock to get back in the ring, D’Lo Brown slides in the ring and knocks Vader out with the Intercontinental Championship! This however goes unnoticed by the Rock, and Farooq is still holding him up by giving him advice. Realizing his mistake, Rock quickly slides into the ring and covers the big man.

.............................1...................

.............................2............................

......................Kick out!

Shocked at the kickout, Rock stands up and starts putting the boots to Vader to the dismay of the fans. Shouting for Vader to get up, or “Jabroni” as the Rock calls him, Vader suddenly hits a ring shaking dropkick on the self professed “People’s Champion” for another 2 count. Lifting him up for a powerbomb, Rock slips out from behind and hits a Rock Bottom for the

Celebrating their big win, the Nation of Domination walks to the back as The Rock points at his title and says “All because of the Rock that the Candy Ass in there lost!” Vader however, is still in the ring furious, as he starts to slide out,

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P-hUEFv8H48/U6XkHJGHWgI/AAAAAAAAAZU/4LDJf3-BnEI/s1600/Kane+Mask+1998.jpghttp://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jyJnPie9hsc/U6jN8WhROVI/AAAAAAAAAb0/GkoUP3Svamw/s1600/Paul+Bearer.jpg

The lights dim and Kane’s music starts playing to the shock of the crowd! As Vader goes back into the ring readying himself for a fight, Kane comes right out and slides under the ropes. Right away, the two big men start brawling, but Vaders punches seem to have no effect on Kane, who suddenly catches Vader in a Chokeslam, slamming him to the mat. With Vader knocked out, Paul Bearer grabs a microphone from ringside.

Paul Bearer: This, this is the first of many! Me and my Kane will not stop until we get what we want, and that is a match with the Undertaker! You see, Vader is first, and Undertaker is next!

With Kane and Paul Bearer leaving the scene, security and EMT’s finally arrive and attend to Vader and put him on a stretcher to the back. While the announcers are speculating on his condition, Vince McMahon’s music hits, or “Mr.” McMahon’s music hits at Jerry corrects JR.

Microphone in hand, he begins to speak from the stage:

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pVCWrkpQGZg/U6XkJVhBR0I/AAAAAAAAAZc/OBRibRgnveA/s1600/Vince+McMahon+8.jpg

Vince McMahon: How is everyone here tonight?!?

(Huge amounts of heat begin as “We want Bret” chants ring out through the arena)

“Well, it’s ironic that you would mention that name, because through my kindness and generosity, I will not hold a grudge against Owen Hart even though some of his family members... Showed their disloyalty to the WWF, and I took action! Tonight, Owen is going to have to show his action against Jeff Jarrett! Especially because the winner of this match will face the European Champion, Hunter Hearst Helmsley in 3 weeks at the Royal Rumble for his European title!”

Following Vince going to the back, WWF goes to commercial.

When we get come back we see Regal and Benoit already fighting it out in the ring as Regal has the upper-hand right now as we see him with a sleeper on Benoit.

· Tony Schiavone tells us that during the commercial that Regal got the advantage after a cheap shot to the back of Benoit at the start of the match.

· Benoit starts to fight out of the sleeper and once he gets to his feet he hits a back suplex.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8qWuY3wUv5c/U6MxG3p8POI/AAAAAAAAAVc/7bWOD93XRRs/s1600/Dave+Taylor+3.jpg

· As Benoit gains momentum, we see Dave Taylor from the Blue Bloods come down to ringside for Regal.

· As Benoit notices him Regal starts to take brass knuckles out but, referee Randy Anderson sees him and starts to lecture him while Dave Taylor tries to punch Benoit. Benoit catch the fist and drops Taylor with a fist of his own. Regal comes from behind and rolls up Benoit to get the three.

After the match the announcers remind everyone that Sting will be making an open challenge for Souled Out with his World Title on the line. Also that if you missed the opening parts of the show that Kevin Nash Confronted Hogan about Hogan’s leadership as the leader of the NWO and also if you missed the beginning of the show that you missed the announcement of the double main event later as Scott Hall will face The Giant and in a U.S Title number 1 contender match Ric Flair faces Curt Hennig.

Tony then sends the mic over to Gene Okerlund with DDP.

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oMQmsV4LoZQ/U6NBzatjhaI/AAAAAAAAAVs/ZEAOVRCb_W8/s1600/Gene+Okerlund+(2).jpghttp://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0ptXcjCKGoM/U6IDJhExsBI/AAAAAAAAAUk/NHSQue5FAM8/s1600/DDP4.jpg

Gene Okerlund- Fans my guest at this time, please welcome the WCW United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page.

(DDP’s music begins and the crowd erupts in joy as he comes to Gene Okerlund on the ramp)

Gene Okerlund- Well Dallas, I think it’s safe to say you’ve won over Tennessee.

(DDP Smiles, Throws up the Bang sign and drops it down with the crowd)

Gene Okerlund- Ha-ha, well Diamond Dallas Page you overcame Curt Hennig and Rick Rude at Starrcade to win that hunk of gold called the United States Title. Now tonight Curt Hennig will face Ric Flair in a number one contender match to decide who will face you at Souled Out. Who do you think will be your challenger for your United States Title?

DDP- Yah gotta go with the Natua Boy Ric Flair, he is a thirteen time World Champion Mean Gene.

Gene Okerlund- But you can expect the numbers game to possibly catch up to Ric as it is two on one and maybe even more as you never know with the NWO.

DDP- Well Gene to make sure Rick Rude or any other NWO member interferes in the number one contender match. I will be down at ringside for Ric Flair. So if anyone tries to interfere and I mean anyone they will feel the, BANG!!!

(DDP leaves to his music)

Gene Okerlund- Fans don’t miss it, later tonight it will be Curt Hennig versus Ric Flair with DDP in Flairs corner that will be a great match, and I can’t wait.

Number One Contender Match for European title.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rnsos7W3Flc/U6XkNrrAKPI/AAAAAAAAAZk/Lyl9FxC9or0/s1600/Owen+Hart19.jpg V.S. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_sz3Z6K7IYY/U6nN-0qE9oI/AAAAAAAAAcM/YK717Wq2__4/s1600/Jeff+Jarrett+3+(2).jpg

Owen Hart V.S. Jeff Jarrett

A Flying shoulder tackle by Jarrett sends Hart CRASHING to the mat. Full nelson slam on Hart. Hooks the leg for a two count. Owen Hart fights out of a grapple. STIFF high kick on Jarrett by Owen Hart. Jarrett takes a flying neckbreaker from Owen Hart. Hooks the leg for a two count. Diamond Dust from Owen Hart and Jarrett is out! Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Owen Hart hits a rolling kick on Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. Big piledriver on Hart. There's a two count on the pin. Front Face Slam! Hart is down! Hooks the leg! ONE…

TWO..

NO! BAAACK Body drop by Hart gets a bit of a pop from the crowd. Jarrett scoops and slams Owen Hart. What's the difference between a scoop slam and a body slam anyway? Hart ducks a wild right hand. Hard back suplex on Jarrett. Back heel kick off the second rope, Jarrett goes down. Owen Hart floors Jeff Jarrett. Here it comes...Sharpshooter! Jeff Jarrett taps!

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mczvaWDgfz4/U6iw8rkevCI/AAAAAAAAAbk/r-nhVtTNg-Q/s1600/Triple+H+15.jpghttp://1.bp.blogspot.com/-731j9f1zG4Y/U6nOBifSjBI/AAAAAAAAAcU/n0eAaZhSDhg/s1600/chyna+(2).jpg

After Owen defeats Jeff Jarrett to become the number one contender for the European title against Triple H, the European Champion Triple H himself with Chyna comes down to the ring. Triple H and Chyna enter the ring looking harmless, Triple H and Owen have a stare down when Chyna goes behind Owen without Owen knowing and Chyna low blows Owen. Then Triple H puts him between his legs and hits the Pedigree on Owen. Triple H has just sent a message to Owen Hart, and a very blunt one at that.

(While referees check on Owen in the ring and Triple H and Chyna go to the back WWF Raw goes to commercial)

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I-D3jVNztUU/U6iI8YBO6aI/AAAAAAAAAa8/VAnlLl4ccQ8/s1600/WCWNitro1.jpg

When we comeback we are met at the announce table again as they show a replay of the Nash-Hogan confrontation. They discuss it, saying this could be the downfall of the NWO. Metallica starts to play from the speakers its Sting’s music, and as he comes out Tenay reminds everyone Sting beat Hollywood Hogan to win the title at Starrcade. Schiavone than says “That was one of the greatest moments in not only WCW history but Wrestling history as a whole. But right here tonight the question is, who will answer Stings Challenge?” They also remind everyone that this would be the first time Sting talked in over one full calendar year. Ever since he felt like his friends thought he betrayed them, but now his friends have come back WCW has become the power of Nitro once again, the NWO is depleted and after tonight’s altercation could be disbanding.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_sT_btO2gEI/U6ICsf1rtbI/AAAAAAAAAUE/vPW3egNUVIc/s1600/Sting++23.jpg

Sting- …… (Sting is standing in the ring with a mic, not saying anything. He looks at the title, holds it up. He then puts the mic near his lips and says)

I won

(The Crowd roars and announcers astonished as Sting has spoken, Sting has finally spoke.)

(Sting gives his signature Whooo!!) Now let’s down to some business, since I am the WCW World Champion and since right now I don’t have an opponent at Souled Out how about I make an open ended challenge to anyone in the back that’s to face The Stinger in 3 weeks at Souled Out. Come On!!

(“Slammer” Plays its Lex Luger! Sting with a surprised look on his face as the camera pans to him as Luger enters the ring.)

Lex Luger- So Sting you’re looking for and opponent for Souled Out? I think I’m available, so how about me versus you at Souled Out for the WCW World Title? It would be one hell of a match up, these fans right here in the Mid-South Coliseum want to see that match. How about it Stinger? We both can find out who really is the franchise of WCW, who is the better man, who deserves to be WCW Champion.

(Sting Looks at Luger, looks at the belt and looks at Luger. Sting sticks his hand out for a handshake which Luger gives)

Sting- Lex, at Souled Out.... It’s SHOWTIME!!

Lex Luger- No it’s not Sting, it’s my time!

(Luger leaves the ring)

Tenay begins to talk how shocked he is that Sting talked and even more shocked that Luger accepted Stings challenge. Heenan begins to say Luger is probably jealous of all the attention Sting has gotten over the past year and he knows that since now the NWO has pretty much been beat Luger can get back to his singles career and on becoming the Franchise of WCW by whatever means necessary. Including stabbing a friend in the back. Schiavone and Tenay both disagree with Heenan as they believe Luger and Sting’s friendship is bigger than just having the spotlight.

As they finish up talking we here Public Enemy coming down to the ring for their match against the Steiner’s.

Non-Title Match: Steiner Brothers w/ Ted Debiase V.S. Public Enemy

· The Public Enemy look to make a big splash in the WCW Tag team division, as beating the tag champion Steiner Brothers would definitely do that.

· Right in the beginning the Steiner’s were on fire, as Scott hit a multitude of Suplex’s and power moves on both Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge before tagging Rick.

· After Public Enemy got a little advantage over Rick Steiner, Rick came out of nowhere with a Steiner Line that dropped Johnny Grunge and made it possible for Rick to get a tag.

· Scott Steiner comes in and hits a huge Steiner Line on Grunge folding him up like an accordion, Rocco Rock then runs in misses a right and Scott sends him over the top rope. Scott proceeds to pick up Grunge and hit a Bell to Belly suplex.

1… 2… 3…

· The Steiner’s win, almost dominating the Public Enemy.

Tony Schiavone then tells the fans “When we come back we see Goldberg in action, we’ll here from TV Champion Booker T and Bret Hart will make his challenge but to who? All that and more... Next!
