Before Shane can announce the main event, Triple H’s theme song hits and out walks ‘The Game.’

Shane McMahon: It’s funny that you mention The Authority, Hunter. Because tonight’s main event will feature your poster boy ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton, taking on the man he faced at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns!

 

The crowd pops at the mention of Roman Reigns, and before Triple H can object, Shane cuts him off.

 

Shane McMahon: And as your boss, that’s an order, not a suggestion.

 

Shane heads to the back while Triple H stands in the ring, visibly upset.

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, The Miz and Damien Sandow defeated Dolph Ziggler in 12:54 after Damien Sandow distracted the ref, allowing The Miz to hit Dolph with the championship belt.

As Sheamus celebrated in the ring, Cesaro ran in behind him and struck him with the US Championship. The Swiss Superman stood over the fallen champ and raised the title high over his head.

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Nikki Bella and Paige drew with Brie Bella and AJ Lee in 10:18 when the referee lost control and stopped the match.

 

Paige continues to beat down AJ long after Nikki and Brie are pulled apart. She slams the former champ into the barricade, before hitting a Paige-Turner right on a set of steel steps! She then begins apologizing to AJ claiming “It doesn’t have to be this way love.”

 

Michael Cole: Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever seen AJ take a beating like that.

Now, some of you may wonder why exactly that is. Well you see, no superstar in history, has dominated The Undertaker at Wrestlemania like my client did, AND the same can be said about the way he tossed a certain John Cena around the ring like a sack of potatoes. After the match, Stardust and Goldust slowly walk down the ramp, while the Usos dare them to enter the ring, Rybaxel sneak up behind the champs and being blasting them with punches. The Dust brothers simply turn around and make their way to the back laughing.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Naomi defeated Paige in 8:46 by pinfall with a Nightfalls after a distraction from AJ Lee.

 

Paige grabs AJ from behind, and begins screaming at her.

 

Paige: How dare you AJ! What did I do to ever deserve this? We’re supposed to be friends!

 

AJ simply starred back at Paige, seemingly shocked that the champion would even say that.

 

AJ Lee: Friends? Paige we stopped being friends the day you pushed me down off of that ramp and almost broke my neck!

 

Paige: (Pleading) But AJ I love you!

 

AJ Lee: Well, my sweet little crumpet, after I make you tap out at Night of Champions, and claim what’s really mine, maybe we can be friends again.

 

As Paige prepares to reply, Naomi joins in on the banter between the two.

 

Naomi: Maybe you two have already forgotten, but I just pinned Paige 1-2-3 right here in the middle of the ring. I think I deserve a shot at that title just as much as you do AJ.

 

The crowd cheers at the thoughts of a triple threat diva’s match.

 

Paige: You know what Naomi, maybe you’re right.

 

Paige starts to leave the ring, before turning around and pouncing on Naomi. Not long after AJ gets involved as well as the three divas brawl all around the ring before being pulled apart.

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Dean Ambrose drew with Christian in 10:53 when the match descended into chaos after Seth Rollins and Kane got involved.

 

After the bell Seth Rollins and Kane continue their assault on Kane. Eventually Kane reveals the same pallet of that took Ambrose out not long ago. As Seth prepares to stomp Dean onto the pile, out comes Roman Reigns from the crowd! He lands a superman punch on Kane as Seth Rollins scampers out of the ring and heads towards the back. Ambrose picks up Kane and hits Dirty Deeds right onto the cinderblocks!
