Jack Swagger is making his entrance for a match when Batista attacks him from behind, beating Swagger down at ringside and completely destroying him. Eventually, Kofi Kingston comes running down to the ring and does battle with him, eventually knocking Batista out with a Trouble In Paradise. Damien Sandow defeated Fandango in a D+ match following a Terminus. After the match, The Miz hits the ring and lays Sandow out with a Skull-Crushing Finale. Sheamus defeated Zack Ryder in a short C match following a Brogue Kick. He then takes a microphone and tells Big Show that the same thing is going to happen to him at TLC. Before his match, Dolph Ziggler cuts a promo in the ring, saying that there is absolutely no way he's going to lose the Intercontinental Title to Ryback this Sunday. Dolph Ziggler defeated Cesaro in a C+ match following a Zig-Zag. A video plays showing the events between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar leading up to their chairs match this Sunday. Dean Ambrose defeated Randy Orton by DQ in a B- match when Seth Rollins hit the ring and started to assault Ambrose. As Ambrose and Rolins brawl, Kane, Chris Jericho, and John Cena all hit the ring and start to brawl with Randy Orton. The Usos hit a pair of Superkicks on them, with Jey following it up with a Samoan Drop on Stardust. He makes the pin, but Colin Cassady breaks it up. He puts a chinlock on Jey, who battles to his feet and counters it into another Samoan Drop. Uso climbs the turnbuckle and looks to hit a Superfly Splash to pick up the tag team titles, but Konnor grabs his foot from the outside. The announcers debate whether Harper needs to put one or both of his opponents through a table in order to pick up the victory, while Harper works Wyatt over in the ring. <br id=""><br id="">A running big boot knocks Wyatt down and Luke Harper goes to pick up another table, this time setting it up in the corner. He whips Wyatt at the table, but Bray stops just short, hitting the charging Harper with a cross-body block. Bray maintains the advantage on Harper, hitting some of his signature offense. When he goes to the corner and bends over backwards, he's met with a big elbow drop by Rowan. Harper and Rowan finally get on the same page and work together against Wyatt, with Harper setting a table up in the middle of the ring as Rowan goes to the apron. Harper puts Wyatt on the table as Rowan scales up the turnbuckle, but Wyatt is able to fight Harper off and hits Rowan off the turnbuckle, knocking him through the table on the outside! Rollins lifts him up and gives him a backdrop to the mat, slamming the ladder onto Dean's prone body.<br id=""><br id="">Seth takes one of the other ladders and sets it up in the middle of the ring, starting to climb it to end the match early. Ambrose scrambles and grabs Seth by his foot, pulling him down and tossing him face-first into the ladder. The two brawl wildly, and things spill to the outside. The two former stablemates continue to brawl, with Ambrose launching himself off of anything that's not the ground to assault Rollins. When Dean rolls to the outside and picks up another ladder to bring into the ring, Seth gets a running start and hits a suicide dive into said ladder. Rollins slides into the ring, but his ankle is grabbed by Dean. Seth kicks him several times to free himself, then Ambrose follows him into the ring. Rollins knocks Dean down several times before starting once again to climb the ladder. Ambrose tips the ladder and Seth lands crotched on the top rope. Rather than knock him off, Dean shakes the ropes, bouncing Seth up and down to the roaring approval of the crowd. <br id=""><br id="">By the time Rollins gets back into the ring, he grabs Dean and, rather than attacking him, uses the handcuffs that he grabbed from under the apron to secure Dean's arm to the ladder. Seth laughs in Dean's face as he climbs the other side, thinking that Ambrose can't climb while he's stuck to the ladder. Rather than try, Dean runs so that the ladder is knocked over and Seth tumbles to the ground. Shoulders to the midsection of Ziggler in the corner are followed up by a big spinebuster that earns the challenger a two-count. <br id=""><br id="">Ryback lifts Dolph for a gorilla press slam, but Dolph lands on his feet behind him and counters it with a dropkick that knocks him out of the ring. Ziggler launches himself over the top rope and lands on Ryback, punching him several times. Dolph drives Ryback's head into the announce table and rolls him back into the ring, following him in. The champion is able to get a bit more offense in, including a fame-asser that again nets him a two count, but Ryback's power again allows him to take control.<br id=""><br id="">After dominating the match for several minutes, but being unable to pick up the pinfall, Ryback signals for the Meat Hook clothesline, the crowd chanting "feed me more!" with him. The two fan favorites give it everything they've got, while the crowd goes into their duelling "let's go Cena, Cena sucks!"<br id=""><br id="">John attempts a Five-Knuckle Shuffle on Jericho, but as he approaches the ropes, Orton pulls the top one down and sends Cena out of the ring. John is tossed into the steps, leaving Jericho in the ring to battle with Kane. Chris hits a facebuster on Kane on the ladder and goes for the Lionsault, but Kane is able to move, sending Jericho ribs-first into the steel. Orton has been busy setting up tables on the outside, and has them stacked up two on top of two others. Kane scales the top rope looking for his clothesline, but Orton intercepts and attempts to superplex Kane through the tables. Rather than chase him up the ladder, Cena sets up a chair at the base and stands on it to get Orton into an Electric Chair position and drop him backwards that way. John grabs Orton for an Attitude Adjustment onto a ladder on the ground, but before he can hit it, Jericho is in the ring and hits Cena with a Codebreaker! Chris Jericho goes for the win by scaling the ladder, only to be hit with a low blow from behind by Kane. Kane climbs the opposite side of the ladder again, and battles with Chris, only for Y2J to lock in the Walls Of Jericho on Kane on top of the ladder! Lesnar slides into the ring, and Reigns continues his assault on the champion, hitting Lesnar with several shots before Brock can turn the tables on him and put Roman's back in the corner, hitting him with several shoulders to the midsection. The champion follows this up with several shots to his challenger's head, before taking the chair that was handed to him and beating Reigns with it.<br id=""><br id="">A sign in the crowd declares that "Roman Reigns=Cena 2.0!" with the announcers saying that means they fans are in support of Reigns and are saying he's just second only to the fifteen-time world champion. Reigns looks like anything short of the second-best superstar in the WWE as Lesnar throws him around the ring mercilessly. Heyman hands Brock another chair, this one being wedged into the corner, and Brock tries to throw Roman into it, only for Reigns to stop just short. Brock charges, but eats a face full of top turnbuckle, which is followed up by a Spear from Reigns. Roman covers, but Brock kicks out at 2. <br id=""><br id="">Roman manages to get a few slams in on The Beast Incarnate before Heyman provides enough of a distraction to allow Brock to grab a chair and gain the advantage. Heyman repeatedly hands Brock Lesnar chair after chair, with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion stacking them up in a huge pile in the middle of the ring. He tries to suplex Roman on top of them, but Reigns blocks it with punches to Lesnar's ribs. He hits the ropes for another Spear, but Lesnar catches him and lifts him for an F-5. Reigns goes behind Lesnar and hits a German Suplex on him to the mat. Reigns hits the mat and dramatically cocks his fist, aiming at Lesnar for a Superman Punch, but Brock ducks it and lifts Roman, hitting an F-5 onto the pile of chairs! Seth Rollins comes out and says nobody cares to hear from a loser like Reigns or Dean Ambrose, they want to hear from a winner like him. The two argue back and forth until deciding to have a match later on tonight. Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler in a C match following a Brogue Kick. The Big Show comes down to the ring and starts to brawl with Sheamus, culminating with a Chokeslam through the announce table! Nikki Bella cuts a promo in the ring bragging about how, even though she had a mystery opponent and no way to prepare for her, she walked out of TLC as the Divas champion, and she couldn't be more proud of herself. She then goes on commentary and watches as Kaitlyn defeated Cameron in a D match with a Spear. The Bolievers defeated Adam Rose and Heath Slater in a D match, when Dallas hit Slater with a Running Bodog. Damien Sandow takes a microphone in the ring and announces that he will be entering the Royal Rumble match and intends to win it and go on to Wrestlemania 31 to become the smartest WWE World Heavyweight Champion of all time. Damien Sandow defeated Kane in a C+ match following Terminus. Ryback defeated R-Truth in a D+ squash match with Shellshocked. He tells the audience that he's not upset about losing the Intercontinental Championship at TLC, because he's moving on to bigger and better things when he wins the Royal Rumble and then the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The Miz is in the ring cutting a very prideful promo about how he's better than anybody else in the locker room, no matter what the fans think of him. The lights go out and when they come back on, Bray Wyatt is behind him and hits Sister Abigail. Rusev and Lana are in the ring bragging about how they injured Christian last night at TLC. Lana says that anyone that sets foot in the ring with Rusev from now on will meet the same fate. Ric Flair comes down to the ring and tells Rusev that there's unwritten rules in WWE, and you're not supposed to intentionally injure another competitor. Tired of hearing Flair scold him, Rusev attacks and locks in The Accolade on Ric Flair. Goldust and Stardust come down to the ring and demand that whoever played that video last night at TLC come down to the ring and face them. The lights go out and Finn Balor and Hideo Itami come down to the ring, prepared to face the WWE Tag Team Champions. Balor and Itami defeated Goldust and Stardust in a C- match when Balor hit a double stomp to Goldust. A music video plays to hype up the Lesnar/Cena match at the Royal Rumble, hyping it as their Final Encounter. Afterwards, John Cena is asked about the upcoming match and he says that it's his final shot at taking the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Lesnar, and he's going to do everything he can to make sure that he walks into the Wrestlemania 31 main event with the title. Cesaro defeated Chris Jericho in a C+ match following a Neutralizer. Randy Orton stops John Cena as he's walking backstage, telling him he doesn't deserve another title shot at the Royal Rumble, and it should go to someone like Randy Orton. Cena tells Orton that next week on the first RAW of the year, Orton will get a chance to prove that. Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns in a C match following a Money In The Bank briefcase shot to the head while the referee is distracted by J&J security. Afterwards, Sheamus hit the ring and decimated Big Show with a Brogue Kick, leaving the giant unconscious on the mat. John Cena is interviewed backstage, and he's asked about his match with Seth Rollins tonight. He says he'll defeat Rollins before moving on to The Beast Incarnate at the Royal Rumble in his hometown of Boston. Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E in a C+ match with a Zig-Zag. Finn Balor and Hideo Itami defeated Enzo and Big Cass in a D+ match before being attacked and beaten down by Goldust and Stardust. Christian is interviewed from his home by Michael Cole. Christian says the doctors are heavily against it, but he wants "one...more...match" against Rusev. Dolph Ziggler is interviewed backstage, and says that nobody in the world can take the Intercontinental title from him. He says many have claimed it, but he's really proving to be the best in the world. The Bolievers defeated R-Truth and Darren Young in a C- match when Tyson Kidd made R-Truth tap out to the Sharpshooter. Dallas and Kidd do a victory lap around the ring, going completely over the top. Seth Rollins says in a backstage interview that John Cena has no chance tonight against him and even if he does defeat Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, Seth is always waiting in the wings with his Money In The Bank briefcase. Bray Wyatt cuts a video promo saying that Miz is the most prideful superstar in the WWE, and that he needs to be brought down to earth, or even lower. John Cena defeated Seth Rollins in a B match with an Attitude Adjustment. Before the show ends, Randy Orton hits an RKO out of nowhere on the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, standing tall above John to send a message before their confrontation this coming Monday. Some news to follow: John Cena vs Randy Orton is being advertised, with Vince thinking that it's the biggest match that could be put on. This is also being advertised as the "final encounter" between Cena and Orton, to help hype up the Royal Rumble main event, which is also the "final encounter" between Cena and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. With the show coming from Chicago, IL, WWE.com has announced the return of a "former, top-level WWE superstar" to start the show. This has obviously gotten a lot of people talking about the possibility of it being CM Punk. A man comes out in a hoodie and kneels down, before raising up his head to reveal Bad News Barrett. "For anyone that wanted CM Punk to return, I'm afraid I've got some BAD NEWS." He makes his way into the ring, being booed loudly as he announces that he's back and is going to be entering the Royal Rumble match, going on to Wrestlemania 31, and winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Dolph Ziggler comes down to the ring and tells Barrett that unlike him, Ziggler doesn't need to pretend to be something he's not to get a reaction from the crowd, he simply has to be the Show-Off, and steal the show each and every night. They argue back and forth before agreeing to a non-title match. Bad News Barrett defeated Dolph Ziggler in a C+ match following a Bull Hammer Elbow. A music video shows the long history between Randy Orton and John Cena ahead of their main event clash tonight. Sheamus defeated Big Show in a C match following a Brogue Kick. Kaitlyn is interviewed backstage, and says that she's not going to let Nikki Bella get away from her so easily, and she's going to keep coming after Nikki's Diva's Championship. The Bolievers defeated Enzo and Big Cass in a C- match, when Bo hit Enzo with a Running Bodog. Paul Heyman does an interview segment where he hypes up the Brock Lesnar title defense against John Cena at the Royal Rumble, hyping it as the final battle, and saying that Cena won't walk out. Damien Sandow, Hideo Itami, and Finn Balor defeated Cesaro and Goldust and Stardust in a D+ match after a double foot stomp to the chest of Goldust. Lana is in the ring with Rusev, talking about how he injured Christian at TLC and will continue to destroy anybody that comes after his United States championship. As she's talking, Christian comes down through the crowd with a chair and hits Rusev in the back with it before laying him out with the Killswitch! Nikki Bella defeated Rosa Mendes in a D- match when she got a roll-up while holding Rosa's tights. Randy Orton is interviewed backstage about his match with John Cena tonight. He says he's going to injure Cena and take his place in the Royal Rumble main event before going on to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 31. Before his match, Seth Rollins says that he's going to enter the Royal Rumble match, unlike Dean Ambrose, who he forced out of the WWE at TLC. He says that he's going on to win the match and headline Wrestlemania 31, and even if he doesn't win the Royal Rumble match, that's okay, because he still has Money In The Bank. Seth Rollins defeated Bray Wyatt in a C match after The Miz distracte Wyatt, allowing Rollins to hit a Curb Stomp. The Miz and Rollins continue to attack Bray, until Roman Reigns hits the ring and clears them out, saving Bray from the 2-on-1 attack. Backstage, Kaitlyn finds Nikki Bella and congratulates her on the win earlier in the night before challenging her to a Divas Championship match at Royal Rumble, which Nikki accepts by saying that she'll defeat Kaitlyn easily again. John Cena is interviewed before the commercial break, and he says after the break, he has an announcement for Brock Lesnar concerning their match at the Royal Rumble. Before his match, John Cena says that the contract he pulled down at TLC granted him not only a Royal Rumble championship match, but the opportunity to choose the match type. He says he's picking a match that he's never lost. In his hometown, John Cena will face Brock Lesnar in an I Quit match! John Cena defeated Randy Orton in a B- match following an Attitude Adjustment. After the match, Brock Lesnar hits the ring and absolutely levels John Cena with an F-5, standing tall over the challenger to end the show.
