wshred13
For as long as they have been around, ALPHA-1 has been the top dog in MMA, GAMMA has been a close second, and SIGMA has at best been a very distant third place competitor. Heading into this new year, SIGMA continues to struggle with the American juggernaut and Japanese giant poaching their top talent, forcing them to cultivate new talent just as their previous efforts were starting to pay off. After four and a half relatively fruitless years of business, SIGMA has decided to hand the reigns over to a young, innovative new CEO named Adam Davids. Davids shocked the MMA world on his first day at the helm with an announcement that was quite unlike the previously dull and straightforward matchmaking of SIGMA's past. Davids informed the German media (via translator) that SIGMA was "hitting the reset button". All current belt holders are having their champion status all but revoked as each weight class will hold a 16 man tournament to determine a "battle tested" champion. Davids also hinted at other possible changes, including a different set of rules and a possible influx of new prospects. No matter the outcome, the coming weeks and months will be a very interesting time for this ambitious promotion.
