JON JONES affirmed his place as consensus pound-for-pound king of fighting with a second round knock-out of #1 contender Anthony Johnson.

On a night where a new welterweight champion was crowned at the Wembley Arena in Rory McDonald, it was 'Bones'' knockout of 'Rumble' that stole the headlines in its technique and brutality. A beautiful overhand right from the New Yorker brought the curtain down on the main event and Johnson's title hopes, at least for the foreseeable future. Rumble never seemed to get out of the blocks, and a classy champion gave him no opportunities to land a haymaker of any kind, neutralising Johnson's bread-and-butter with his fight IQ and by controlling the range of the fight. A more competitive co-main event took fight of the night as Rory 'Red King' MacDonald dethroned 'Ruthless' Robbie Lawler to become the champion of the world at 170 pounds. MacDonald was scored as 48-47 winner by all three judges and the media consensus alike, leading 3-1 on the cards at the end of round four and seeing out the victory despite the best efforts of the champion. In an even closer fight, 'Suga' Rashad Evans scored a 48-47, 47-48, 48-47 win over 'DC' Daniel Cormier to land the number one ranking in the division. However, the fight was not without controversy, with Dana White stating he agreed with the media consensus that Cormier was the better fighter on the night to leave Bones' next challenger in doubt.

In a big upset, undefeated Bosnian prospect Mirsad Bektic grinded out a 30-27 victory over heavily fancied, ranked #13 featherweight contender Chan Sung Jung. Bektic neutralised the Korean Zombie's aggression to take home the victory. In the preliminary headliner, John Dodson cemented his status as the number one flyweight contender by beating Ali Bagautinov, and Alexander Gustaffson put a halt to his two fight slide by knocking Glover Teixeira out to get back in the hunt at 205 pounds. In the first prelim of the night, the gorgeous Angelica Chavez showed she is more than a pretty face by decisioning fellow UFC debutant 'Fancy' Laura Sanko.
