scorpion
The idea behind my so-called "Ultimate Indy Fed" is to give a place for unemployed workers to work, improve, and move on to bigger things. I call it such because it throws together a mess of regular cards and special tournaments to give a chance for as many people to work as possible. I have one basic rule- I can't hire or re-sign any worker that is employed by another company. (exception: I can re-sign workers who are on touring contracts, though they typically don't work for me while on tour) All in-ring workers sign 1 year, 10 appearance contracts. Others typically sign 1 year contracts. My company- Midwest Wrestling Federation runs every 3 weeks, 16 events per year. March, June, Sept, and Dec all have 2 events and the 2nd event that month is a special tournament. March: Queen of the Indies June: King of Trios September: Best of the Young Lions December: Elite Tag League This is sort of a sandbox game as my company has plenty of money, in order to facilitate bringing in all the people for the tournaments. However they started out at only 1% popularity in the Midwest/ My reason for posting this is I thought some people might be interested in how a game like this would progress. I won't be posting every event and match, but I will post the significant ones, and especially the tournaments as they are the most interesting/fun part of the game. scorpion
Cool concept dude. I'll be ducking my head in. Thanks. I'm already a year in on my game so I'll be posting that stuff pretty quickly to catch up Taking this chance to explain a little more about the big tournaments. Queen of the Indies- All 8 competitors are signed to one appearance deals. Only rule is they have to be currently unemployed. King Of Trios- Mostly taken from workers regularly competing for the company but additional workers will be brought in to get to 8 teams Young Lions- This will be all workers currently working for MWF (unless there are not 8 available) must be designated as "Young Lion" by the game Elite Tag League- all competitors must be working for MWF or unemployed and have won a tag team title somewhere, not necessarily with their tournament partner. Because established tag teams may not be available (Employment, retirement) some teams will have a lethal lottery feel to them
