WWE 2015 - SummerSlam Shake Up

(The overall plan of this diary is very simple. I plan to take over from Summerslam and offer an alternative to the real life direction of the product. I intend to continue current angles, pushes etc, so no unrealistic changes of Cena buried, Roman buried and indy darlings flooding the product, Vince still owns it and things will see gradual progression. I'm an experienced diary writer from EWR, used to do a lot of comedy behind the scenes/backyard rises or small indies. This is my first shot at a major company. Forgive any lack of detail in the intial results of Summerslam, I wanted to get them up before the show aired so if I do anything similar, it wasn't intentional and can still be considered my own direction.

 

My shows will have considerably more detail than this recap style for Summerslam, but it gets the ball rolling.)

 

WWE SUMMERSLAM - August 2015

 

Match #1

WWE World Tag Team Titles;

Los Matadores vs. New Day vs. Lucha Dragons vs. PTP

In what started out as a fast paced spot fest quickly slowed it's pace once everybody got their big dives in and got the crowd pumped. Big E had Sin Cara ready for the cover when Darren Young made the save! Kalisto came close with the cover over Young before Kofi's acrobatic springboard leg drop broke the pin! More mayhem ensued with everybody taking the spills to the outside leaving Kofi, Fernando and Titus in the ring. El Torito ate a standing enziguri from the top rope and tumbled to the outside by Kofi, Fernando then hit a double knee backbreaker! Titus levels Fernando as he turns around with CLASH OF THE TITUS! 1...2...3!

 

 

 

Match #2

Rusev w/Summer vs. Dolph Ziggler w/Lana

Rusev controls the match with a slow methodical beatdown while the crowd try and rally behind Dolph. Dolph makes a few brief comebacks but they are continually shutdown by the sheer power of Rusev. As the match nears the 15 minute mark it is clear Rusev is trying to end the beatdown but Dolph refuses to give up and the frustration is setting in. Dolph avoids the big Superkick and hits one of his own! Both men are down and Summer and Lana try to encourage their men to get up. Both men stir and begin to exchange punches, Dolph ducks and runs off the ropes... HUGE JUMPING CLOTHESLINE! Dolph's comeback is on and the crowd are behind him, ZIG ZAG!! 1... 2... NO! Summer puts Rusev's foot on the ropes! Dolph gets up and shouts at Summer and the referee but turns into a huge wheel kick! THE ACOLADE IS ON! Lana rushes Summer and the catfight begins! Rusev breaks the Acolade when Summer is thrown into the steps and grabs Lana's hair over the ropes! ZIG ZAG! Dolph covers 1...2...3!

 

Post Match: Rusev is absolutely livid that Lana cost him the match as her and Dolph leave all smiles and share another kiss on the stage. Meanwhile Summer lays on the floor unattended by the disinterested and distracted Rusev.

 

 

 

Match #3

Stephen Amell & Neville vs. Stardust & King Barrett

Amell gets the pop for coming out in full Green Arrow costume, Barrett is rocking his Cosmic King robe. Barrett and Neville start with Neville playing the face in peril, lots of quick tags between Stardust and Barrett keep Neville isolated while Stardust continually mocks Amell. Neville eventually hits a huge Dropsault on Stardust and gets the hot tag! Amell leaps the top rope and takes Stardust out with a huge clothesline and knocks Barrett off the apron! A brawl erupts between Stardust and Amell but the hot tag fizzles out as Stardust hits a big Back Suplex! Stardust mocks Amell and says that heros never truely win. Stardust hits a big neckbreaker and tags in Barrett, Barrett shoves him with his boot and taunts Amell for a moment, gloating in his own pressence. Barrett picks him up and gets caught by a surprise uppercut! Amell hits a Dropkick and both men are down! BOTH MAKE THE TAG and Neville cleans house. Neville hits his kick combo and Stardust is down... RED ARROW! Neville tags in Amell who climbs the top rope... Neville flips over the top rope onto Barrett... AMELL OFF THE TOP WITH A BIG SPLASH ON STARDUST! 1...2...3!

 

 

 

Match #4

Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro

A back and forth war that lasts 27 minutes, with neither man being able to finish. Owens goes to leave but Cesaro pulls him back and takes over! RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! Cesaro covers 1... 2... NO! Owens rolls over into a reversal 1... 2... he grabs the ropes! 3! Owens bails quickly and Cesaro can't believe it. Cesaro is telling the referee he used the ropes but it wasn't seen. Owens holds three fingers up as he heads back up the ramp, telling Cesaro he got the victory and is the better man

 

 

 

Match #5

WWE Intercontinental Title:

Ryback vs. The Miz vs. Big Show

Miz tries to talk to both men before the match starts, only to get beaten up by both men! Miz bails and the match is essentially Ryback versus Big Show for the next few minutes. Ryback is looking dominant as he storms through Big Show... KNOCK OUT PUNCH! OMG Big Show covers 1... 2... MIZ BREAKS IT! Miz repeatedly hits Big Show over the back of the head and shoves him under the bottom rope. Miz now waits as Ryback gets up... Miz rushes in MEATHOOK CLOTHESLINE! SHELLSHOCK! Ryback covers 1... 2... 3!

 

Post Match: Big Show stands outside the rings, glaring in at Ryback while holding the back of his head. Ryback celebrates his win as Big Show shouts it isn't over between them.

 

 

 

Match #6

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus

In a much slower paced match that is essentially a brawl, Orton's RKO gets countered into the BROGUE KICK around 15 minutes into the match for Sheamus to score the 1...2...3

 

 

 

Match #7

Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

In essentially a lawless chaotic brawl that turns into a hardcore match as the referee can not keep any sort of control and just goes with it. Ambrose looks to have Wyatt on the ropes as Reigns and Harper are outside on the floor. Wyatt counters the Dirty Deeds and kicks Ambrose low! SISTER ABIGAL!... NO REIGNS OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A SPEAR, BUT HE HITS AMBROSE!? Wyatt KILLS Reigns with a lariat and covers Ambrose! 1...2...3!

 

Post Match: Wyatt and Harper leave with smiles as Reigns tends to Ambrose. Ambrose shoves Reigns off him as he sits up and Reigns apologises. Ambrose asks what the hell happened and Reigns is saying it was an accident but Ambrose isn't so sure and leaves alone.

 

 

 

Match #8

3 Team Elimination Match:

Team Bella vs. Team B.A.D. vs. PCB

Becky eliminates Fox,

Tamina eliminates Becky,

Charlotte eliminates Tamina,

Paige eliminates Brie,

Naomi eliminates Paige,

Nikki and Charlotte essentially team up against Sasha and Naomi...

Sasha eliminates Charlotte,

Naomi eliminates Nikki

Sasha and Naomi celebrate over a fallen Nikki Bella and hold up the Divas Title together, before dropping it down on Nikki.

 

 

 

Co Main Event

Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman vs. The Undertaker

Starting as a wild brawl, the match eventually slows right down as Brock tortures The Undertaker. The Deadman makes a comeback with a Chokeslam! He calls for the Tombstone.. HE HITS IT 1... 2... NO! Brock kicks out and nobody can believe it. Taker rushes him up and hits another! 1... 2... NO! Brock again kicks out!? Taker looking exhausted pulls Brock back up for another but Brock reverses and hoists Taker up onto his shoulders... F-5! 1... 2... 3![/i]

 

Post Match: Brock stands over a fallen Undertaker and Heyman's smile says it all as he announces the Undertaker is finished! The gong sounds and the arena goes dark, it lights back up and Undertaker is gone! Brock looks confused but leaves as Heyman hurries away

 

 

 

Main Event

WWE World Heavyweight Championship & WWE United States Championship Match:

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena

Cena runs right through Rollins but just can not put him away. Rollins mounts a comeback after a flying knee to the face! Cena tries to protect himself as Rollins talks trash and dominates the next ten minutes but can not keep Cena down for the three count. Cena makes his pattened comeback... AA! 1... 2... NO! RIC FLAIR PULLS THE REFEREE OUT OF THE RING! Cena can not believe it! Cena AA's Flair on the floor! Cena slides back into the ring but CURB STOMP BY ROLLINS! 1... 2... NO!? Cena kicks out! Rollins drags a lifeless Cena back up to his feet and sets up a Pedigree... CENA STANDS UP... AA! 1... 2... NO!!! Rollins kicks out! The crowd are going nuts, divided and chanting loudly. Both men slug away for another few minutes until Cena again gets Rollins up! ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT AGAIN! 1... 2... NO! Rollins again will not stay down!? Cena can't believe it. He pulls Rollins up but ROLLINS STAND UP WITH CENA ON HIS SHOULDERS, AA OF HIS OWN! Rollins doesn't pin and instead pulls Cena up for THE PEDIGREE! 1...2...3! Rollins has done it and the CeNation are stunned!

 

Post Match: Rollins celebrates with both the World and US titles as Triple H comes out clapping and Flair pulls himself into the ring too. But Rollins isn't done, Rollins starts taunting Cena with the belts and hits him repeatedly, Rollins gets off and Flair starts the beatdown instead as Triple H smiles. Rollins orders Cena up for another Pedigree... HE HITS IT! Rollins is laughing, Flair locks on the figure four until Rollins pulls him up again, offering Triple H a pedigree too? THE LIGHTS GO OUT!?.... STING!!! Flair can't believe it and goes crazy! Flair attacks Sting and gets taken out in one punch! Triple H is dropped and Rollins eats a HUGE BACK DROP! Everyone bails as Sting tends to Cena. Cena looks to be ok and Sting stands up and points up the ramp to Rollins, Flair and Triple H!
