Just a post to say the show should be up at some point Sunday / Monday all permitting.

 

I have 6 predictions so far and they look very very very interesting and it's nice to see such a varied selection of outcomes.

 

I hope I can hit 10 as that would be Fricking amazeballs and i hope everyone that has popped in and read or has popped in to stay and predicted has enjoyed this so far?

 

As always if anyone has any opinions on formatting or ideas crateively please fire them at me, constructive criticism is a great thing so please keep me on my toes and if something is making you not like the diary please let me know. I aspire to be as good a story teller as Mootnie, Michgcs, Nobbym Lloyd, Dave at present too, Kjar, Frootloop, Destiny, Voeltzwagon and many many many more ( plus COC when he is about) . If i am doing things holding me back please let me know and if it's good say so so i Keep doing those things.

Pre Show

 

Exclusively on the WWE Network we are bringing you your first live contest from the now weekly Diva[Dark] product. A simple concept to give more air time to the DIVAS to enable them to be seen week in, week out even if they are not on a main show card itself. Renee Young interviews Eva Marie, Mick Foley and Victoria about this new concept fresh to the broadcast schedule. When the interview concludes we head to the ring to see the first of our two teams opening up the Smackdown shows on this Historical night.

Paige was out for her first showing since getting demolished by Kong and she looked like she hadn’t slept at all in the weeks until now. Lacey on the other hand looked glamorous, gorgeous, curvascious and there is no doubt you would see her on wrestle with the plot over the coming days either. The action for this one was fast tempo’d with both sides grappling for control and the upper hand with Candice hitting not one but too snap suplexes to Lacey and then got hit by 2 slams in a row by Paige after a tag. Natalya managed to get the win in this one with a tap out from Lacey due to the Shapshooter after LeRae hit a suicide dive onto Paige to stop any hold-break attempt.

The whole New Day made their way to ringside here, including Xavier and his Trombone and Kofi and his Maraccas & triangle. They serenaded Big E and got the whole crowd giving him the power of the Unicorn in this one. Lethal was efficient as always and managed to pick up a win via schoolboy after 11 minutes capitalising on Big E swivelling his hips in a taunt at his compatriots on the outside, using the distraction his advantage..

Rocky makes his way to the ring and boy do the crowd love it. He takes to the top turnbuckle and sniffs the air to a raptuous applause and deafening cheers from the crowd.

 

Rock: “Finally the Rock has come back to xxxxxxx. You see the Rock has a feeling that the WWE title picture is always being surrounded and featured on Raw, but the Smackdown Hotel has the best fries and places to sleep and you allllll know that. The Rock wants the WW-EEE- Universe to feel the same as me and want to pick up those signs that say “We love Rocky”, “We love Smackdown”and not feel the need to overlook us. The Rock says it time to organise ourselves and set ourselves up for the main Heavy-Weight .. Championship and to have the Title back infront of the Millioooonnnns and Millllioonnnns of The People here on a Friday night. “

Rise of the Valkries hits and Daniel Bryan comes out and starts the yes chants the whole way down to the ring

 

DB: “Hi Rocky, or do I call you Dwayne or Sir?”

 

Rock: “Erm you can….”

 

DB : “It doesn’t matter what I call you!”

 

Rock: “Ha Mr Bryan, You see the Rock thinks that was very good, but there is something you need to know. I am the man with the power, I am the Peoples Champ and if there is 1 thing I know, it is what the People … want. Now seeing as how you are here and I can count to three just as easily as 2. Tonight I am booking our Main Event with the Peoples Bog Brush versus smackdowns newest Roster member. Yes Mr Bryan, The Rock went out of his way to put those 2 plus 2’s equals 4 to good use, he added up all of Big Poppa Pumps 130%’s and HHH’s game pieces together and he came up with the winning formula and tonight it will be Daniel Bryan vs. Samoa Joe for the number 1 contendership for The WWE Heavyweight Championship.

 

Daniel Bryan looks shocked, scared, determined and frustrated all at once as the Rock climbs the turnbuckle and gives us his If you smell catchphrase as we turn to a commercial”

 

 

JR : “So there we have it. The Rock, our General Manager has booked our Main Event for tonight between two behemoths, seeing off against each other for the first time, for their shot at the grandest prize of them all!”

 

Phillips : “No doubt Daniel Bryan will be looking back on wrestlemania and how Joe cost him his shot at getting back to the top of the pile. This will be one hell of a bout that’s for sure.”

Bad News Barrett comes out with Magnus, Neville and Mason Ryan all shadowing him in their tracksuits. None of which look similar to the one worn the other night.

Stardust brought a lot of offense with this one and kept up his crazy capers and odd attacks throughout. Barrett just kept hitting as hard as he could and managed to get the win after a wasteland after a reversed tornado DDT attempt from the top ropes by Stardust.

Phillips : “I wouldn’t argue with him JR”

 

Barrett grabs a microphone and declares that today is national News day and then goes on to slate the home crowd generating some serious heat. He thanks his men and says that the one who helped him ge the win would be honoured but none could take credit so Barrett put out a call to the locker room to come and find him to be rewarded……he comes across incredibly menacing with Mason Ryan shouting the words long live his Royal heighness Bad News, Reign.

Prime Time Players came out and were the most energetic we have seen in months. It looked like the time off the screens for Titus has done him wonders and he looked fresh and more rounded a performer and even had a spot in the match that was not a hot tag clear house. Much unlike previous. The match gradually faded from P.T.P being in control to the New Day with Big E distracting the legal man more than once over the course of the bout. The finish to this one came about when Xavier Woods and Kofi Double teamed a Trouble in Paradise / Bridging Suplex onto Young for the 3.

Ryback came out to a big pop but that was about as good as it got for the big guy. He was outclassed, out wrestled and out manouvured in this one by a long way. It was either the grandeur of her Majesty’s finest in the ring, the occasion itself or just being off his game but this bout highlighted a lot of his psychology issues at present. Nick Aldis put him away after a torrid 11 minutes with his MDD for the 3 count and pinfall victory.

Ryback walked solemly back to the locker room as we hit an advert highlighting NXt’s next PPV and the upcoming Ignition PPV too.

 

 

 

JR : “So ladies and gentlemen Ryback just doesn’t seem to be clicking here on Smackdown and I cannot put my finger on it. ”

 

Phillips : “Not yesterday, not today, not tomorrow. I don’t know when he will.”

 

Saxton : “Give the guy some credit though, he has fought with half of the big-guns and has yet to find his feet against some smaller players here…”

 

Phillips : “Let’s not take away from Aldis though. Once again that man is showing he can hang higher up the roster and no doubt Bad News will have been pleased with her Majesty’s Finest picking up another victory again tonight.”

Sheamus and Harper teamed up here to take on a team that is still trying to reach the top of the tag team division here on Smackdown. Harper showed some great offence at parts and Bray Wyatt would have no doubt been looking on in earnest wondering if there was any chance to bring him back into the fold. A big Boot into a sharp discuss clothesline to Kruger got him a close 2 but then a hidden tag to Ohno turned the tides. The finish come about with Sheamus about to hit the White noise onto Ohno and Rellik grabbed his foot, sending him face first into the matt with Ohno producing a modified Facebuster for the 3.

Sheamus was furious in the ring as Luke Harper slid back in so as not to be 3 on 1 outside. The Hunters just casually swaggered back up the ramp and stood at the top until the lights went out We went to a quick promotional video about this weeks GENXT with the Peep show returning and this coming months PPV with a graphic showing Brock Lesnar vs. ? as the highlighted match We then pan back to the arena and The Fireflies are already in full force in the crowd with Bray waltzing down the ramp, lamp in hand with the full Followers of Fear in tow.

Big bout here from 2 men trying to push up the card to be in Rockys favor. Dean Ambrose was always going to be Mr 100% and at one point hit a huge suicide dive onto all 4 members after Bray had slid out of the ring to recuperate. The Followers made the numbers game count though when Ambrose went for his rebound clothesline and rellik pulled him down on the ropes flipping him from the ring so he hit hs head on the way out. All 3 of the followers then rolled him back into the ring for Bray to hit the Sister Abigail and win via pinfall.

After the bout Bray went to the corner and went to his menacing, upside down pose as the rest of he Followers of fear climbed each side of the ring readying to enter it and beat down on Ambrose. As all 3 had just entered the ropes and started the beatdown, Jay Lethal and Kurt Angle raced down the ramp and even the numbers up. As soon as they were spotted, the followers all slid out happy with what had happened and Bray just laughed maniacally as they all made their way back up the ramp.

JR : “The menacing Followers of fear and Bray Wyatt once again have left their mark here. That son of a gun and his minions need to be taken down a peg or two. ”

 

Saxton : “Is this the start of an alliance of sorts in the ring that will go on and try to take it to them or is this once again a matter of damage limitation before it is too late?”

 

Phillips : “Things will be interesting next week here on Smackdown, that’s for sure.”

We are pulled back to a recap of earlier tonight with the Rocks back and forth with Daniel Bryan and the announcement that Samoa Joe and him go one on one for a shot at the WWE Heavyweight Championship. The video ends with Daniel Bryans facial expression earlier and then just Joe’s snarling face in the middle of the screen as the titantron starts his entrance...

Boy do these two guys know how to work a ring. Not an inch of mat was left unturned with this showcase of skill, determination, desire, revenge and any other descriptive word you can think of. The speed and precision of the mat wrestling on display here was something else and you kept looking on imagining this bout in twelve months time for the title itself. This was a grudge match for Daniel Bryan and boy did it show. When we got to a point of a breather in this one, Bryans kicks and chops would echo around the arena, almost sounding like gun fire off of Joe’s chest. Joe would hit back with a flurry but the intracousy and precision of Bryan here was unparralled. He was focused on his prize, that title. The thing that has eluded him for so long. Unfortunately he let his feelings over come himself here and went for a rash running Knee that Joe sidestepped and Bryan carried on to hit the matt, connecting with thin air. Once down Joe hit a standing elbow drop and taunted Bryan. Joe's music echoed around the arena as Joe was on the turnbuckle making the belt around the waist motions.As Joe went to drop down from the turnbuckle he looked up the ramp and saw Brock Lesnar, with the title over his Shoulder, covered in bruises smirking and shaking his head from side to side. Brock then just walked off with Joe not sure how much of the bout he had seen but knowing he had been scouted by the Champ.

Good outing for LDNS and they got to work once Heath Slater tagged in CJ Parker. The early bout was all Heath with dropkicks and takedowns, keeping Marty Scurll on the deck, whereas once Parker was in the ring it was a a different game. The ending was the simple matter of Greg Burridge pulling the dice out of his trunks and hip thrusting to distract both CJ Parker and Heath Slater from the outside and Zack picking up a school boy victory over the shocked Parker.

Taz : “But first we got these 2 teams of workhorses!”

 

At those words the music hit of The Foundation and the twosome came out to the ramp looking ready for business.

This bout was fast paced, action filled, fluid and down right effective at getting the crowd fired up for tonight. The Bucks seemigly have the crowd eating out of the palm of their hands whenever they are in the ring and tonight was no different. The difference across the 4 tonight was the experience of Shelton and he ended this bout in style. Jumping from the middle of the ropes, reminiscent of his dive towards HBK many years back, he managed to connect with a springboard neckbreaker onto Matt and then a samoan drop onto Nick as he came into make a save. He then hit a paydirt onto Matt, tagged in Mike Bennet who then hit his Photo Finish on the already dazed Matt for the pinfall.

Bennett and Shelton leave the ring together lapping up the appluase all the way up the ramp as we see highlights of the bout on the tron overhead and then we cut to a commercial.

We return to the venue and hear the opening music hit of the peep show. Christian is already in the ring with 2 chairs and a mic in hand

Christian: “First and foremost, for the benefit of those with flash-photography…..”

 

Christian pulls out a fake moustache and puts on a plain black t shirt and holds a pose for 5 seconds. The crowd roars and you see hundreds of Camera Phone flashes over those 5 seconds. He then pulls off the items and addresses the Captains Charismatic peeps and asks if they are happy and ready to see the new look and re-invogorated Peep show returning to the WWE.

 

Christian: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my first guest on the new and improved Peep Show. Kevin Owenssssss!”

Kevin Owens come out and is met by a chrous of kill owens kill and fight owens fight. he laps it up and revels in the boo’s too.

 

K.O: “Christian, thank you very much from one canadian to another. Although we all know who Is, was and will be the most decorated,feared and loved competitor out of the two. And it isn’t you. There are some things I need to get off my chest and somethings that, simply, cannot wait. I’m talking about the GeNXT title and The Miz’s open callout to anyone that wants it. You see, Shelton, nor Zack could stop me and Mr. HHH made me come this way to carve my own path and although AJ keeps on walking away, it will not be long before I make sure he crawls and then drags and then moves no more.”

 

Christian: “Now Kevin, this is my show and I should be asking questions and not just giving you a free microphone to talk about your love life.”

 

K.O: “Now come on, you don’t want me to want to hurt you.”

At this The Miz and Damien Mizdow appear behind Kevin Owens and proceed to both in unison clout him over the back of the head, knocking him off his feet and to the floor, they then kick seven barrells out of him before lifting him up between them only for The Miz to execute a skull crushing finale on Owens, and making him stay on the mat. The Miz snatches up the Microphone and looks into the eyes of Christian while Mizdow mimics him exactly.

 

Miz: “This is not an open challenge, this is a warning that whoever it may be, that there is only set of Hollywood A-listers and it starts and ends with Awesome!"

MsChif was a game opponent for Charlotte in this one and worked well, focusing on Charlottes legs for a lot of the early on this one. Even wrapping her knee around a ring post for good measure. Charlotte managed to hit a spinebuster to ease the assault and then took the win with a natural selection a few minutes later.

Graves : "Wow Scott, and just like that the man in the powa made the next PPV 100% more interesting”

 

Stanford : "We all knew Foley wouldn't keep quiet on a night like this and this just cemented it!”

Damien Mizdow followed the Miz into the ring and copied every motion that was done. When the Referee turned around after handing the jackets out of the ring to the ring side crew he told the two of them to stop messing around and hurry up. When neither hurried up he pushed who he thought was Damien Mizdow from behind out of the ring and actually pushed the Miz out. Without seeing who it was that he pushed, he asked for the bell to be rang and it was. When the competitor turned around it was Mizdow in the ring and not Miz and as the bell is rang with him in the ring by mistake he is the now the legal competitor and has to carry on. The Miz is furious outside and after a troublesome 3 minutes of holllering is sent to the back. He obliges but very grudgingly and extremely vocally!

So as this bout finally got started some 6 minutes late, both men in the ring knew they had to go all out and boy did they. Balor hit a fantastic moonsault from the top rope onto a standing Mizdow and Mizdow hit an amazing Brainbuster not long afterwards.Balor managed to win this one as Mizdow was distracted by seeing an old man stagger down the ramp with a cane and Finn hit a dropkick on Mizdow to hit him into the ropes and then a reverse bloody Sunday for the first time for the win!

The old man was seen to be the Miz when he threw off the costume and raged in the middle of the ramp before running into the ring and trying to get his hands on Balor. Finn had his wits and simply left through the crowd with his music pumping loudly as we hit a commercial.

Hideo Itami brought a different kind of offence to this one, one that AJ Styles hadn’t faced in a WWE ring so far. He brought kicks, slaps, chops, face pulling, chain wrestling, mat-wrestling, mind games and more. AJ Styles was met with joyous vigour more than once whenever he tried to get the upper hand. Itami managed to connect with a flying headbut for a big 2 count early on and it rocked AJ a lot. Styles twice came back from the brink with a desperation enzeguri to even the odds. It was only when Itami went for a suicide dive and Styles side stepped that he got back in. Not too long after this Itami teased a GTS that Styles countered into a Styles Clash and grabbed the victory from the near clutches of defeat.

AJ Styles has his arm raised and his music is blaring until Finn Balor walks out on the ramp, having won earlier tonight for the chance to face him at Ignition. However as Finn is taunting the belt to be around his waist he is blind-sided by The Miz holding a microphone and Damien Mizdow ( who is ruffled and his hair is all over the shop due to earlier tonight) The Miz then decrees that as he was not beaten tonight, he will still have his match or a rematch versus Balor for the chance make that belt the Hollywood gold it deserves to be! We end the show with AJ Styles holding the belt up above his head in 1 hand and pointing to it with Miz miming it around his waist with Balor on the floor below him.

Swagger looked revitalized tonight against the man floundering in the lower sections of the card. A swift Belly to belly into an Ankle lock at the 8 minute mark put Hawkins away and Jack stood proud!

We had only just cleared the ring when a match graphic came on the titantron showing the matches confirmed for the Ignition PPV in 10 days. We then came back to the arena to the sound of Cesaros theme pumping out with Tyler Reks already in the ring.

Reks was like a man possessed, it was as if the head honchos not playing his entrance on Tv had spurred something inside him and boy was he a monster here. He irish whipped Cesaro into the turnbuckle shoulder first and concentrated on it for the best part of 5 minutes. It wasn't until he went for a vertical Suplex that Cesaro countered it, dropping to his feet, pushing Reks into the ropes and then hitting a pop up European uppercut for the win.

Cracking bout here and our runner up in MOTN. The Wolves are on fire and I don't even think the Tag team champions right now could put them out. Eddie Edwards was running things and it was a simple matter of wearing down Axle, Knocking Fandango off the mat and then a Davey Richards stomp from the top rope winning this one.

We cut back stage to the Office of the Powers that Be and boy HHH looks mad.

 

Triple H slams his fist on the desk , "Who does he think he is, coming here again and trying to undermine you on your show. We cannot let this go on Steph. I tell you what, his golden boy will pay for his meddlings. The internet darlings will finally love us and they will all be on our side. Cena is going against Seth in the main event and who ever wins, the other can not have a title shot until Brock loses the belt!" Steph nods from the other side of the desk and gives her glorious snarl to the camera as we fade back to the arena.

Devon and Jimmy aren't accustomed to singles bouts and the flow of this one suffered due to it. It wasn't a long bout and by the end of it Dvon was visibly tiring. A Superkick into a Uso'#crazy splash from the top got the win for Uso.

Uso was still in the ring as Bullly slid in and hit his trademark right fists and then his crutch tug. He then whipped him to the ropes and dvon was up on his feet to lift him for the 3D! Jey dove off the top rope into a double gut kick by both the Dudleys. They then hit the 3d on him too and stood tall in the ring Yelling that they are done playing and they want M.C.M.G at Ignition for their final curtain call!

Paige was put into this match as Kongs partner by Eva Marie, the whole segment could be seen on the WWE Network app. It was Eva's way of getting her own back on Paige changing Evas lipstick on Total Divas to luminous Green instead of Red. Brie Bella laughed and ODB threw a drink on the floor in hysterics so they were the natural opponents.

Paige and Kong refused to tag one another and it was only Paige being Irish whipped into the corner so hard that her arm flaied and hit Kongs forehead that Kong even got into the ring for this one. Once in the ring Paige simply walked off up the ramp , leaving it 2 v 1. Kong was taken off her feet by and amazing show of strength by ODB and was hit by a suplex. Brie then went for a running knee but kong caught her and hit a sit out powerbomb on her before a standing senton onto ODB for the 3.

As Kong is in the ring Kaitlyn runs out from the crowd and blind sides Kong with a chair. She stands over her and mimics the title round her waist. COle and Jbl deduce that that must be her issuing a challenge and making a match @ Ignition too.

Adam Cole had Justin Gabriel in his corner for this and Gabriel was a great help and thorn in mainly Kanes side. Kane kept both men on the floor for a long time throughout with Big Boots and Strong right handuppercuts a plenty. A Desperation Pretty kick by Breeze into a Top rope swinging ddt from Cole put him down on the mat. Breeze then went for the unprettier before Gabriel distracted him from the mat. Cole used this to wriggle free and hit a Florida Key for the win. Whilst Kane was downed from both mens attempts earlier.

Once again Cole and Gabriel put out a challenge to M.C.M.G for the belts and once again they were ignored. As they then went to turn and leave the ring, Gabriel was hit by a super kick and Kane hit a Chokeslam onto Cole before Breeze and Kane give a nod to one another and exit the ring on opposite sides as we fade to a break.

Randy Orton is seen backstage smirking and shouting explecatives at someone downed on the floor in the corridor. The camera pans around to it and Rusev is on the floor, crouched over Lana's prone body. He is shouting all kinds of words in Bulgarian, English, flemish. You name it! One thing is for certain is that Orton has made his quest for the belt Personal!

Henry never wanted this bout and you could see it. He was always ducking in and out of the ropes and Brock just kept on coming. Brock was fired up due to what happened to Heyman a couple of weeks back and it made for an anger filled contest whenever they finally did meet. Maybe if this was for the title, Henry might have tried to go for it. After what felt like forever moving away, Henry got the upper hand by whipping Brock into the steps. He then proceeded to just lift them up and keep hitting him with them gettign himself Disqualified in the process.

 

Brock managed to power out and just simply laid out Henry with a right hand that looked as stiff as they come. He then rolled him into the ring and hit him with 4 f5's before just strolling off up the ramp with the belt.

You could see it in Cena's eyes that he was heartbroken that the WWE Universe was so against him here and even as the Face, he had more Boo's than Seth! Cena at every attempt was met by kicks or desperation enzeguris or suplexes and ddt's. It was an even bout until M.C.M.G made their way down the ramp and the distraction was made. Sabin got on the outside of the mat and Cena ran at him with the Ref in tow, the Ref took control of the situation and sent Cena back into the middle of the ring. Bam Superkick from Shelley and the dazed CEna was setup and hit by the Pedigree from Seth.
