Waters Retains Title

Clinton Kent racked up his second career win after dragging Matt Horowitz to the ground and submitting him with a rear naked choke midway through the first round of their featherweight bout.

Aaron McBroom turned in an impressive XCC debut battering Cory Brewer for the better part of 8 minutes before stopping him with a head kick and ensuing ground and pound for the stoppage.

Alejandro Laguera put the entire flyweight division on notice as he removed Paco del Rio from consciousness with just two punches, a set up jab and crushing right cross. The end came just 17 seconds in round 1.

Markus Waller got the job done to stay unbeaten against Blas Suarez, but his performance is not likely to garner new fans. Waller outworked Suarez in the clinch but little else could be said positive abound the performance.

Gus Waters and Aubrey Bassington gave their full effort over 25 minutes, but ultimately Waters did just enough to retain his world title in a workman live effort.

Hey, took a while for me to comment, but wanted to say I'm checking this out. I see you might want to go for a plain style diary, which is good, but a little more commentary from a matchmaking and results point of view might be interesting, and a short hand results recap under the little descriptions could be good visually. These are just things I like personally, you'll have a better idea if that fits into your dynasty!

I like the amount of commentary you use for the fight descriptions. I sometimes try to go for what is the "topic sentence" of fights I'm going to describe in my dynasty, but I end up writing too much for that style to work for me. Nice job!

Machado Remains Champion

Pat Troy and Kenny Magilton engaged in a crowd pleasing back and forth striking battle. After a back and forth first frame, Troy proved to have more fire power late scoring knockdowns in the second and third frames, the latter for the knockout.

Benny Danare made an impressive XCC debut quickly taking down, mounting and submitting Jackson Gray in just under two minutes.

Willy Bassett scored with consistent takedowns and ground and pound en route to a wide unanimous decision victory against previously unbeaten Brendon Job.

Bud Brockett won the XCC Lightweight title in his company debut as he scored a one-sided decision victory against Kyle Sagal by using grinding clinch work and strikes.

Luiz Machado scored an ultra impressive fourth round rear naked choke submission over fellow jiu jitsu specialist Rafael Tavares. Tavares was able to intermittently score on the feet, however Machado was too skilled with his grappling as he consistently scored with takedowns and threatened with submission attempts. Machado's win should set up a much anticipated third match with longtime rival Philip Ziskie.

In the opening bout of the evening, Noah Smithee used superior wrestling and ground and pound to earn a wide unanimous decision victory over Campbell Crane.
