A personal friend is making a Real World mod and let me test. Saw that some of the fighters movesets, said "that's a good start" and started a Career with Randy Orton. Why? Don't know. Just felt like it.

Match got two stars. "Had some memorable moments, but not very memorable overall." The Cena vs. Orton Feud in a nutshell.

 

So far, hit and miss. Mainly hit though, so I'll give it a thumbs up for now. It's not finished, so I'll keep waiting until it is.

 

One more thing before I post, I browsed the files for the mod. One of the pictures is cena-troll.jpg and is literally this:

According to my friend, that pops up when Cena hits an AA. Now I REALLY can't wait for the finished mod.

My friend admits to having made little progress compared to what he wanted, but he can confirm the following:

 

1) Though this is the closest thing to a Real World mod as we'll get without converting a TEW 2013 Chronicles database to WreSpi, the focus is more of a parody of WWE than a serious mod.

 

2) Wrestlers that major promotions attempt to force us to care about despite the fact that we can't stand them (Cena, Reigns, Sheamus, etc.) will have moves and taunts with a hint of ridiculousness (Cena's "Cenation Punch" and "You Can't See Me!" taunt, Reigns's taunt will be called "ROOOOOAHHH!")

 

3) A heavy focus on the United States wrestling circuit as both he and I know little of international wrestling. Subject to change if someone can help us parody wrestling outside the borders, but it has to be about the wrestlers; Yoshi Tatsu's 'amazing' commentary career can't easily be parodied.

 

4) Brock Lesnar's moveset is planned to only consist of a Light, Medium, and Heavy German Suplex, a "Pterodactyl Mating Call" taunt, and the F5 finisher. If it's too ridiculous, it'll change, but Lesnar has a pretty limited moveset in real life.

 

5) Eva Marie's stats will be ridiculously low to the point where a match against her is practically a gimme.
