Draft Your Roster TEW 2013

Season 3

Real World Chronicles Oct 2015

http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=530574

S1. The first 12 People who join, Each will have the Ability to Create

1 Promotion. Your Promotion will be Cult Level.

S2. Starter Packs work as follows. You will have between numbers 1 and

15 to choose from. Only 1 may be selected and no Starter Pack is

allowed to be picked more than once.

S3. The clock will run via EST. So everyone can work backwards or

forwards depending on which side of the timeline you live.

S4. You will be given your own “Promotion Page” Document on Google

which you will be in charge of keeping up to date. This will be for

your Promotion Profile, Prize Box Picks and Contracted Workers

S5. After all Promotions are selected, The Promotions will have their

drafting order randomly selected. The Draft will follow the usual

Serpentine format. The last in one round becomes first in the next

round. Flipping the order on its head.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------

Rules

(Warning, Were not trying to make the experience unpleasant, just the

opposite. With strict rules the draft will hopefully be more fun for

everyone else who sticks to the fair rules. If you feel any of the

rules are too strict or you feel you have a valid reason for breaking

the rules. I'm happy to hear all Cases.)

R1. During the drafting rounds 1-15, Each Promotion has a 60-Mins

fixed window to select its Worker, this drops to 30-Mins during the

PPA Rounds (round 16 until round 35). Selections will be fixed to a

clock, each promotion has exactly that time to select, no more no

less. Once a draft pick is selected, you have to wait until it’s your

time window. For example; If your time slot is 3:00-3:30 and your

previous draft was selected at 2:35, you have to wait until 3:00 to

make your selected pick. This is to help people know the exact time

they are up to select, saving “Skipped” picks, but also allows a small

enough time to draft, which doesn’t make the Draft Drag.

All Times will be posted at the start of the draft, so as long as your

remember what time you’re up... You never need to miss a Pick (Check

the “Draft Order” page for all Draft times, Also a quick tip, Use your

smart Phone to Save your Draft Times)

R1A. Every night we will have an off-period between 2am and 9am est.

Hopefully this will prevent or at least lessen the number of skipped

selections during the late evening and early morning hours.

R2. During the “Written” Selection, If a Promotion is Skipped, they

can make their selection at any time.

During the “PPA” Selection, If a Promotion is Skipped, they can make

their selection at any time, But you can’t draft the same person 2 or

3 times to make them have a “Written” contract by using Skipped Picks.

This is to stop people who purposely skip picks to get a worker under

written contract easier.

You can however Trade Picks to get 3 in a row, this Will allow you to

draft a worker 3 times. Now that 5 contracts are available on each

worker. To get the Written deal, you must select a worker 3 times,

Exclusively. If they hold a PPA deal with another company, this won’t

be possible

Rule Break: If you try using skipped picks to get a worker under a

Written Contract, you will be blocked and if it is the second time of

doing this, you will lose a Skipped Pick.

R3. Being “SKIPPED” more than 3 times in a row counts as a rule break

and is followed by a forfeit. Although this might sound Tough, unlike

other Drafts where you never know what time you’re up and therefore

miss your pick. This time around there is no way you can miss a Pick

as you know all of your Draft Times in advance.

Rule Break: Every Pick from the missed 3 onwards will be forfeited.

R4. There can be no more than 3 Promotions in each Area. EG; 3

Promotions set up in the Tri State Area, that now means no more

Companies can join the Area.

R5. ONLY JAPANESE companies are allowed to have a touring schedule

R6. Promotions must have a Booker and Owner, Neither can be Active

Wrestlers. Non Active/Retired Workers only. You can have different

Owners and Bookers, or the same person to do both Jobs.

Rule Break: Failure to hire a Owner/Booker will result in Loss of

Finances, and a hit to Promotion Prestige and Momentum.

R7. You Must Draft at least one of each of the following, Owner, Head

Booker, Announcer, Color Commentator, Referee and Road Agent. Failure

to do so by the end of the draft will mean your promotion will be

penalised.

Rule Break: Failure to hire 1 of each of the following will result in

a hit to Promotion Prestige and Momentum. If more than one is missing,

the Punishment gets doubled each time.

R8. The first 15 Rounds will be for Written Contracts only. Workers

drafted during the “Written” Rounds cannot be shared between

companies. However you can Split the Contract into 5 PPA’s and Trade

them.

In Rounds 15-35 Workers will be signed to PPA Contracts. The limits to

signing PPA are that a worker must not work for more than 5

Promotions.

Rule Break: Persistently selecting a Worker who has already become

Unavailable will result in a Loss of that Draft Pick

R9. When you have made your draft pick in the Forum, Make sure to

update the Google Doc “Who’s Taken”. Watch your Worker doesn’t get

Stolen for Sloppiness

Rule Break: Failure to update the “Who’s Taken” list within 24 Hours

will result in the Drafted Worker becoming Eligible for Re-Drafting

R10. Please keep your Google Doc Promotion Page up to date. This Means

Roster and Use of Prize Boxes.

Rule Break: Full completion is expected within 48 hours of the Draft

End. Going past the deadline will result in punishment varying in size

based on length of time elapsed post deadline.

R11. When selecting a worker, remember to add the full Draft Round

list, along with previous selections. Also remember when deleting

previous rounds from the list, to keep all Missed and Skipped Picks.

Now just Post the name and Graphic of who you are drafting Along with

which Round it is and which Contract (Written or PPA and what number

PPA). Once you have done that, use the provided Google Doc’s to cement

your draft pick. First use the “Who’s Taken” doc and Drag and Drop

your worker to your promotion. Secondly go to your promotion

“Promotion Page” and add them to your Roster. There is an option to

select Heel/Face, Gimmick and so on, You can wait till the end of the

draft or fill it in as you draft.

R12. Injured Workers: All workers will be Eligible and have their

“Injuries Removed”

Hiatus: All Workers who are on hiatus will be eligible for Drafting.

Left The Business: Unless stated otherwise, All workers will be

eligible for Drafting

Non Active but doesn’t fit my Role for them: All “non-Active” or

“Retired” workers who have Pushes that don’t suit your role for them,

such as Eric Bischoff being “Authority” but wanting him to be “Color”.

These requests will be granted.

Retired: Someone who retired though choice and not injury (Jamie

Noble, Lita, Guido) can be be considered to be Re-Activated as

Fulltime or Part-time workers.

Others such as Steve Austin, Edge will not be allowed as they retired

due to Medical Reasons.

Drafting Info

D1. In this draft you can pick workers from any area to join your

promotion. Worker restrictions will be turned OFF.

D2. During the PPA Rounds, Drafting a worker once means they are under

PPA to you, Select them Twice and you have them under 2 PPA’s, Select

them 3 Times and they are under a Written Contract. However now that 5

contracts are available on each worker. To get the Written deal, you

must select a worker 3 times, Exclusively. If they hold a PPA deal

with another company, this won’t be possible. In the first fifteen

(15) rounds all characters selected will be signed to a written

contract. Once selected during these rounds that character is

exclusive to the selecting promotion and are unavailable for re-

selection.

Following that the next twenty-five (20) rounds will be to select

characters on a Pay Per Appearance (PPA) basis. Any character may be

selected by up to five (5) separate promotions and after that will be

unavailable for selection. A promotion may, should it choose, select

the same character more than once during the PPA rounds. If a

Starter Boxes

B1. Here's a quick explanation on how they work. Each Promotion starts

at the same size, but with the "Starter Box" you gain your Money,

Prestige and Momentum. You also get a limit of how many Prize Boxes

you can pick from the start. Also you will get 2 special Extra's to

make your promotion unique. They range from a PPV Contract, to Extra

contracts, Popularity Boost and so on.

There are 15 boxes in total (for Cult) and each one is totally

different. The money ranges from $1Million to $50Million.

Prize Boxes

them. However their contents will remain Private from the rest of the

Draftee’s. It’s up to the user to disclose what they got in their box.

You are free to tell the truth or Lie. The increased competitiveness

may require diplomacy, honesty or lies. Chose your path as you wish!

Will admitting to fewer tokens be more to your advantage? Will

admitting to vast amounts of tokens be a help to keep trouble away or

draw a Target on your back?

The Highest available increment to any stat is the maximum available.

EX. Seth Rollins has an acting skill of 55 if i purchase the maximum which is 25% for 625 tokens his stat would now be 80. I could not then add add a 20% boost to give him 100 in that skill

Hey guys! If you've already filled out the .doc for your company, please add your promotion into this doc HERE

We're trying to get this done as fast as possible so we can start the draft earlier than expected. So like I said, if you've already filled out your personal .doc, please add your promotion IN THE ORDER YOU SIGNED UP as shown in the post by rvdjr above. Thanks everyone! :)

Much appreciated, once everyone has given a name and selected a starter box I will draw the draft order.

Do we get our starting boxes as soon as we pick (when you get the chance) or do we have to wait until everyone has picked?

I'm really excited to start stratergizing :)

once everyone has picked the full list will be released in the meantime if you are very curios and cant wait lol you can pm me and I will share your details.

I'll take starter box 4, and I'll edit my promotion into the doc soonish. I haven't decided what kind of promotion I want to run and it might be based on what workers I get. Also, the rules were a bit of wall of text, but I didn't see what to do if you're not going to be able to make a pick, ie, I won't be able to make picks when I work, which is usually noon to 6 us central, give or take an hour or two on either end.

There are some mismatched items in the draft outline, probably cut and paste issues.

Do we get 35 rounds of picks, or 40?

Can a written contract be broken into 3 PPAs or 5?

they are indeed cut and paste issues that slipped through it is 35 rounds and a written can be broken into 5 ppa's

thats fine since it is a set time format you will know when you wont be able to pick due to work and can send in a pre-ranked list and the pick or picks will be made on your behalf

Also #4 was the first starter taken but was not posted in the thread only in his profile by joemurphy

Oops okay. Let's try #7 then. And if that's gone, #10?
