[HYPE] WWE Website Picture Pack

Recommended Posts

http://i.imgur.com/Q5t5e1O.png

What Is It? A picture pack for TEW 2013 that will also be updating going up to and through TEW 2016. The seven hundred and two(702) worker pictures in the initial version one release uses every single render on the WWE.COM website.

Why Did You Make It? A few years back I had the idea of taking the background found on the WWE.COM Roster Page, and using it for a Cut Background in TEW. I loved the look of it, however I never really had the drive to make a full on picture pack with it, so I stopped almost as quick as I started. Fast forward to last months amazing news about TEW 2016, and that's when I made a goal for myself to create this picture pack you see here today.

What was the original goal? The original goal was quite simple in thought, "Use every single render off of WWE.COM and put it on the background to create a picture pack.". That original plan then went on to change slightly by adding in all the additional renders for each superstar and diva, to create much more depth to the pack and give the users more options when using the pictures for their games.

Do you plan on making updates? Absolutely! While i'm not quite sure on how i'm going to do the updates per say, there will be many of them. For example, whenever a new render is added to the WWE.COM page, it will have a picture made for this pic pack that day. Another example will be the Independent Companies, and other top promotions in the world. I want to eventually get this picture pack up to the point where it's not just made for games using WWE as the promotion. I want the user to eventually be able to have a whole database filled with these pictures. So expect to see your favorite independent talent coming to the picture pack soon!

Is there by any chance a preview of the picture pack before I download it? Considering the size of the picture pack is on the large side of things, there is a preview. However I do apologize for the size as it had to be resized obviously to fit every single picture included in the Version One release.

Do you have any recommendations on what skin would go best with these pictures? I extremely recommend using the wonderful skin "WWE 2K15" by Mammoth. You can find the link to that thread here

One last question, where can I download the picture pack? You can find the Version One release right here.

Original Post:

To give a bit of a backstory to this I feel I should explain what this pack is and how it came about. So basically long story short, a year maybe a year and a half ago I attempted to make my first picture pack. It was on the background that they use on the WWE.COM Superstar page, so in my opinion looked great with renders. Well fast forward to a month ago when TEW 2016 was announced. I made it a goal of mine that by TEW 2016's release I would redo my picture pack and include every render from WWE.COM. Meaning every superstar and diva from every section, and all of their alternate renders.

So with that said, here's a little hype thread for the graphics as I still have a few sections to complete before I finish. However I have finished the "NXT", "Current", and "ECW Alumni" sections.

Once the first release is out, that's when things get easy as from there I can just update whenever a new render is uploaded to the site. Since those two previews are a small version of the pics, here are few full size previews of a couple talent that I find to look great on the background.

AJ Styles

Samoa Joe

I hope everyone enjoys these as much as I do. I'll continue to update the thread with previews of the other sections as they become complete.

These look good but way too zoomed out. You wouldn't be able to tell who they were on the match simulation screen.

I appreciate the comment. It's actually not difficult to tell whose who. Though not as easy as say the RWC Picture Pack, but it's not impossible.

I personally prefer the smaller look for the other screens, such as when viewing the roster etc. So that's why I go for it like that, but I can see that viewpoint on it hindering the match simulation screen. I guess it's mainly all about preference really.

Definitely looking forward to giving this a shot once it's released. Can't wait to see the final product. Most likely will use a database strictly using this Picture Pack for fun.

Thanks for the words! I actually just got the "WCW Alumni" section done, so now all that's left before the initial release is "WWE Alumni" and "Hall of Fame". The WWE Alumni section is going to take a bit of time though as it's so many cuts haha. Makes for a well diverse picture pack in the end, so it's worth it.

Speaking of WCW Alumni, here's a little preview.

Oh absolutely, for sure. I like how they're crossed at chest-level and above too. With the white-ish/grey background, it really makes each picture "pop". You seem to be on a roll, man. So far, so good. Keep up the great work!

I love that style as well, I feel it really drives home the WWE.COM look that i'm going for. While it does hinder slight visibility on the match simulation screen, I view the graphics on that screen as a graphic aid. Seeing as the text names are right underneath you don't need full visibility per-say, just enough to go "Oh, that is them" which I think this achieves.

It does, plus I've seen on TEW Warehouse or something a certain skin that is purely for WWE.com as well as WWE 15'. What I'm thinking is if I was right, that WWE.com skin might compliment your pics beautifully. Plus, someone also released a Skin Creator pack which leaves you all of the .png/transparencies/renders of the TEW 13' screens that you can attach to any background you want.

They actually work wonderfully together, a match made in heaven. My desktop crashed a few months ago, so I had to redo my license and save date etc. on my laptop. Haven't got a chance to actually install that skin, but now that you mention it i'll download it and show off some previews with it.

I actually just found the links for them both. With the pics you'd provide, i'd probably use these two Skin/Graphic mods to make for an authentic look.

With how the WWE.com website is a mix of grey/red/black? I could see myself possibly editing/modifying Mammoth's mod to grey out certain areas and leave the sides red. I could perhaps actually start to see what I could do. But, I'm running a Picture Duplicator Software on my TEW 2013 folders at the moment to make sure I don't have any copied images. It takes while. Lol.

I personally think Mammoth's awesome skin works greatly with the pics. Here's a couple of examples.(The first being from iDOL, just with my Raven pic on top.)

(Can we just note in this test just to show the pic pack, that Kurt Angle wrestled for 90 minutes in 2016 and it still produced a C+.)

Those images actually look damn near flawless using that Skin Pack. With how the background is black, the pictures have no interfering border or background image to interfere with it. The blackness of the background actually accents the pictures to make them look more prominent and visible. (At least to me they do). The examples above alone definitely are inspiring me to take a crack at Mammoth's skin and possibly adjust it to make it look at close to the WWE website as possible. Permitting the Starter Skin Pack has everything included in it, I might actually be able to rip the background image off of WWE.com and start from scratch there.

Just managed to rip all the graphics, icons, background and advertisement images off the WWE.com homepage. From looking at Mammoth's skin, he pretty much has everything already made that's damn-near identical, if not on point from the actual website. I found a few little things that I might just screenshot and paste onto his backgrounds just to perfect it all. Well, not perfect it rather. But anything I can do to make it look close to the site. Also saved everything in a folder in case anyone's interested in the actual site graphics.

Seeing how well it goes with the skin, I'm actually really warming up to these! Great stuff.

Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words. Also, thanks for the early criticism, not sure if I mentioned that. Always up for feedback both good and bad as how can you notice flaws without being told?

I'd love to see what you come up with. Mammoth's skin is wonderful though as it is, perfect blend of the WWE 2K15 background and the WWE.COM homepage.

In other news, i've found that using the Wayback Machine it's possible to go back in internet time and get the renders that WWE deleted. For instance i've done this so far with Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Bryan on the site right now only has two pictures, with the added Wayback Machine pictures he's up to 6. Cena on the site right now only has three pictures, with the added Wayback Machine pictures he's up to 8.

I plan on releasing a ton of update packs after the initial release, maybe even bi-weekly to monthly given how many I do. I also plan on doing indy talent on this background, but i'm trying to perfect the WWE Render effect they do to their renders.

Lookin' good. :)

Thanks man!

Finished up the "WWE Alumni" Section earlier, here's a preview shot.

The "Hall of Fame" is the only section I have left to do, and once I get that finished the first release of the picture pack will come out. At the moment without the Hall of Fame section, the pack is sitting at 568 pictures. I'm assuming the Hall of Fame pictures will put this way over 600.

Those renders are fantastic. Definitely shaded it the way the WWE renders look. Spot on. Also, this Wayback Machine program you speak of sounds helpful as hell. Might have to look into that.

Thanks man!

Looks great, man! Finally finished up my Duplicator program and managed to clean out and stuff my Real World Chronicles Database and Picture folders with goodies. Added all the recent updates and such to make sure every part of it is up to date. Also started taking a look at Mammoth's skin pack and pretty much determined that he already has everything you need to make it look as close to the WWE.com website as possible. But the artistic side of me couldn't help but notice one certain thing that I could tweak to make it look more updated. Working on that now and I'll post the results here as well as the image I used as inspiration in regards to my edit.

Necessary quote because your skin pack is involved in this little tiny project of mine.

Obvious quote for obvious reasons.

The original website_hall file had a yellow sidebar as opposed to a red one. I decided to fix that myself that way all the colors of the Skin pack are uniform and consistent.

No, I mean the pics.

The pics should be coming out tomorrow for sure. I'm working on the "Hall of Fame" section which is the last part before Release 1.0 can drop which will include all 700+ renders used currently on WWE.COM

Except to see the first add-on pack coming maybe a week after, which will either be "NXT Alumni" or "Ring Of Honor". I plan on doing all companies as add on packs, hopefully to create a bigger picture pack that's usable in all games not just WWE. Got to crawl before walking though.
