Free Pic Pack Questions

A small project I've started toying with is putting together a real world free pic pack that I would eventually like to release. I've mostly been collecting images to be cut, nGo style. With the new free pic parameters that Adam mentioned in the TEW 2016 Developer's Journal, I won't start doing more than for a bit. I like fairly high res (at least clear) pics big enough so that they can be mostly face when they are cut (again, like nGo).

 

One of the reasons I wanted to have addition free pics available is for greater diversity. Not just more Pacific, Indian, and Asian workers, but more average looking ones. Not certain how far the new Free Pic criteria will go in TEW 2016, but having images that would suit lower Sex Appeal, lower Star Quality generated workers seems legit. So while I've found quite a few images of fitness models, fashion models, and the like, I'm trying to dig up more diversity.

 

I've mostly just been doing Google image searches of random terms (whatever comes to mind) and its worked reasonably well. Trying to avoid easily recognized people, whether they are celebrities, pro athletes (such as MMA fighters), rock stars, etc. Won't avoid it entirely but as a whole, I'd prefer less recognizable individuals.

 

The one type of pic I really want more of that I'm not finding tons of is mask images. I asked in the Random Questions thread and Jaysin suggested cosplay pics, which has landed me quite a few decent ones. But the ones I've been finding have tended to more super hero or costume masks. would love more luchadore style masks. but most that I find are replicas of real luchadore masks (which would pretty much be the same as just using a pic of the actual luchadore) or some cool masks that aren't actually being worn. I've thought about trying to dig up obscure real luchadores that are unlikely to be in any real world mod, but that seems like a ton of work (and not foolproof). I've considered cutting some video game character pics. I've also considered using some mask images from the CornellVerse or ThunderVerse (I could just throw the black border on the Cvere pics). But having rendered images in a real world pic pack seems.... off. But still might be better than having relatively few mask images in the pack.

 

So 2 questions....

 

1. Suggestions on what to do for more masks, particularly luchadore style ones? Whether its suggestions on where to dig up more cuttable pics, or whether having rendered images in the pack would still be cool with you...?

 

2. Suggestions on where to dig up more diverse images to use. Tumblr hasn't yielded much yet, and I'd really rather not troll Facebook.

Search wise, random words work. Look up random names. That is how I usually get random gens. I'll type in the first name that pops in my head and see who meets what the game has given me. You're doing one from scratch so you have a lot more freedom. Old competition shows like American Gladiator works than you can just look on wikia and find the other shows names than go from there.

Had not tried random names. Interesting idea. The random search strings has actually worked reasonably well - things like "beard suit bald" or "Samoan rugby shirtless". I'm still finding more good looking and athletic types (of all genders and races), so still working on that diversity.

There are a TON of MMA guys and girls, including lesser known ones. check the "Sports" section, then "Fighters".

 

Also plenty of musicians, actors, models, playmates, porn stars and so fourth.

 

Alos searching google images for "Male standing png" or "Female standing png" will bring up a TON of pngs. Also "Fitness png" brings up TONS of male and female fitness models.
