Hardest US Game Area

Recommended Posts

I'm curious, what do people think would be the hardest region to start a company in the United States in Cornellverse?

Would it be more difficult to start in a packed area like California, where you're going to be smashed by competitors forever? Or is there somewhere where people just do not care about wrestling and therefore it would be difficult to draw people and therefore money?

I'm toying with more diary ideas for startup promotions FYI.

Regions like the Tri-State or New England. You'll be killed in regional battles for a while if you start in any of those areas. (Unless you manage to join the COTT). I think starting in a region like the Great Lakes might be the best bet.

If FCW, QAW and MAW get their acts together, they can create a rough regional battle, but at game start it is good. Tri-State I agree is probably the toughest, but Mid-South is bad too, because QAW and CZCW are competing there, so as soon as you hit F+ the regional battle is on. I am doing my RTG game there and have lost regional battles for the last 2+ years, so the growth is really, really slow for me. I think it would be easier for a perf>pop fed but as I am doing a pop>perf, it is tough at this size to put out the C or C+ shows to make me competitive in the regional battle.

Youre safe from them for a good long while <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I started a traditional/mainstream promotion called Lone Star Wrestling and could not get over QAW or CZCW.

In the end Texas Pete committed suicide and I decided to stop playing because I was too bummed out.

Still I'm thinking a South East Louisianna promotion which is heavily influenced by vaudeville could work beautifully.

If you can jam up some pop fairly quickly, even if the neighboring feds get better, you will be in a good spot with the regional battles.

Make Harry Chadwick your owner then. He'll fit the company perfectly.

Mid West is also a fairly safe area to start in. Hawaii and Puerto Rico are tough because of lower importance and reduced spillover. PR also has the the distinct disadvantage of already having an established and locally popular promotion to compete with.

Is he an owner-type, ex-wrestler, announcer or what?

Plus, all the real world mods seem to have omitted it from TV coverage, at least in the ones that I use lol.. I wouldn't even consider trying it, but I can see how it would be impossible..

Growing in Hawaii isn't terribly difficult, it's still a case of putting on good shows etc... but oh my god having to start from scratch in other areas because there's no spillover is so difficult.
