Help Starting a New Company

Recommended Posts

I'm sure this has been addressed before but hours of forum searches have proved fruitless so if anyone could help i'd be grateful. I'm starting a new regional fed and could really use some tips on getting the ball rolling, and if possible some kind of "checklist" as to what you do first when starting from scratch. Again, i'm sure this has been discussed to death already so just a link to the appropriate thread/posts would be great, but if anyone wants to throw in some tips right here that's great too.

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the new thread but honestly, trying to find the right specific search terms is just maddening.

I'm not sure what tips you're exactly looking for i.e. how to physically set up a new company in the game or running a new company and who to sign/what product to use?

I almost always make my own companies and start from scratch. Big thing is keeping your roster small, bringing in a couple vets with desirable skills that fit your product and some rookies to train up for the future. Keep your costs minimum i.e. you don't need announcers or a huge roster at local since repetitive booking doesn't affect local level companies.

I almost always hire Bret Graveson as a ref in North America since he's a capable official and is a locker room leader. But that's only the C-verse.

I'd like to help you out but I guess I need more specifics on what you're looking for. I recently started a garbage promo in the US and it's been very challenging thus far but interesting.

Thanks for your response, here's some more info (didn't want to write a novel in the first post):

I'm blatantly stealing Remianen's Low Impact Performance Product (Key Features: Traditional, Mainstream, Modern; Medium: Realism, Lucha, Daredevil; everything else None), because it's Performance > Pop and supposedly allows using just about any style wrestler as long as they're good at what they do in-ring. The idea is a sort of "Best of the Indies" showcase, focusing mainly on young talent, that can hopefully grow into a major fed eventually. I'm using the "Hard" Start-New-Company setting based in Mid-West USA (Regional, 40 Pop in Mid-West, 20 Prestige).

I'm looking for things like: What non-wrestler roles are most important to fill, what proportion of wrestlers to aim for at each push level, how many guys to concentrate on getting over at the start, when to look at expanding outside my region, and anything else i may be forgetting that's important given the above.

Any specific worker suggestions would also be very welcome, especially any vets with good top-row skills/psychology to train up the young guys i'm already targeting, and any good in-ring workers with decent Popularity to fill out my ME/UM scene.

Thanks again for your help! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
