(C-Verse Draft) Wrestling Heroes Of America

Recommended Posts

I am super-flaky at dynasties so should probably get apologies in early on in case this one doesn't last long - but wanted to try doing one with the fed I drafted for in the awesome recent draft. (Thanks again, Uncrewed, for running it!)

I'm playing owner/booker Peter Michaels. I've posted the product and our 'tour' screen, showing our top stars, below. I'm NOT posting a full roster breakdown; there'll be quite a lot of people brought in for one-shots and on short-term contracts. The plan is to write it concentrating solely on the shows - no backstage stuff at all. Not sure how well this will work, but going to give it a go.

There will be 2 shows a week (in-game), I'm hoping to write the A shows up fully (although my write-up style will be relatively brief) and B shows I'll just post a picture of results. B shows will mainly, although not exclusively, be established roster members going over one-shot guys. (I'm still a mark for early to mid-90s WWF and its TV shows packed full of jobbers!) PPVs will be on Sunday week 4 every month.

With five of the six pairings we’ve seen on the show so far being very experienced teams, it’s noticeable here that these two duos are significantly less smooth, with it being their first match together. It’s an open bout and Spade and Jameson are able to get in a decent amount of offense on Rich Money, both looking good. Peter Michaels is keen to put over Spade, in particular, as a star in the making - “possibly the Supreme Wrestling University’s greatest ever student.” However the two younger men can’t put Money away, and in the end it’s Hector Rodriguez who picks up the win, with a massive choke slam on Jameson.

James Justice, backstage, cuts a promo saying that he’s excited to be in the World title tournament and while he won’t take Tyson Baine lightly, he knows that he has what it takes to get past him and make it to the semi-finals.

A music video plays with highlights of the careers of Sean McFly and Bryan Vessey.

http://i.imgur.com/DnaxsVK.jpg vs http://i.imgur.com/BpocxrB.jpg

SEAN McFLY vs BRYAN VESSEY

Five or ten years ago, this would have been, if not a dream match, then certainly a highly-anticipated one. While the commentators do a great job of selling both guys as legends of the sport, though, they’re off the pace here and asking them to go twenty plus minutes seems to backfire. After a fairly pedestrian match, McFly hits the Delorean Driver to advance.

Post-match, Rich Money comes out and sarcastically applauds the first man through to the semi-finals, while making the internationally recognised “I want the belt” gesture.
