Supernaturals - Fantasy Wrestling (C-Verse)

"What if... what if there was a pocket dimension accessible from a multitude of worlds? An interdimensional nexus of sorts. What if it had been made neutral ground for eons, turning it into a melting pot of what every universe has to offer? What if some of its visitors had a place where they can duke it out for various reasons?

What if... what if we told you we have a device that can turn any door into a gate to that place?"

-- Homepage blurb at snwrestling.com

In january of 2016, Kate Avatar created a new promotion in the mid-west. Wanting to see a little different in wrestling and wanting to be a part of it, she came up with Supernaturals.

This new promotion is starting with a monthly show, simply dubbed Supernaturals (or Supernats for short). Thanks to Kate's previous achievements, she knew she wouldn't be starting entirely from scratch. Her popularity would give the company some cred and lure some accomplished talents. Hey, she might even be able to stay on good terms with other promotions of the area since her unique product shouldn't be stepping on too many toes.

No, Kate's main issue might be tight money (there's only so much your past achievements can get you), and a product unusual (to the audience) and demanding enough (to the workers) that it would require a lot of really good (and as such expensive) people to make it work.

Also, she needs to find someone to make a better logo. Urh, what was that guy thinking?

Hey guys! I'm new here and still quite new to the game series. I did about 6 in-game months with AAA in TEW 2013, and now I'm launching my TEW 2016 game with a concept I've spent months building in WWE 2K14 on PS3: Supernaturals (or "Supernats" as I prefer to call it now).

What's it going to be and what's going to be in this thread?

Mostly a playthrough journal, or "let's play" type thing, where I'll summarize what's going on, possibly focus on particular events, kayfabe and backstage, and just in general describe my thoughts about the game and the promotion I'm running.

I don't want to promise too much in-character content as I get the feeling it's going to burn me out fast. Mostly, it will depend on what I'm inspired by at the time.

I'm also open to comments and feedback, especially when it comes to the mechanics, since I'm still learning the ropes. Veterans, be ready to see a lot of mistakes done! Try not to scream ;)

-----

First, a little tour of the company as it stands now in April 2016. I've obviously run a few shows already, and I will summarize them in the next posts.

It's a Small company in USA, Mid West. Started with $10K, using Kate Avatar as the owner. I gave her a lot of Creativity and a bit of everything else, though mostly Motivation.

Our Product:

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/th_201601_Product_zpswyxt4dty.jpg

We currently have an Importance of 22 and Popularity of 24 in our home region. Popularity started at 25 but the first two shows have brought it down a bit.

The locker room is doing well at 76% and a LOT of people with good, if not great positive influences. The only bad thing so far is my lack of leadership.

Backstage Rules:

Current Finances:

Merchandise settings are default: Conservative and Standard (all minimum)

Production Values:

These were boosted as I went and noticed I was definitely earning more than I was using... so might as well reduce "amateurish" penalties.

Quick view of the current roster, and Amazing Amazon, the best working gimmick so far:

We now have one ref, one road agent (honestly, mostly so I could use Auto Booker, murf), one manager, and a loooot of wrestlers, men and women (yay for Integrated!)

The one mistake I'm utterly aware of so far? Offering wage matching... I thought it would be much more precise (if you're Midcarder, you match other Midcarders)... but yeah, when anyone with a PPA counts, it's a killer.

I also probably shouldn't have hired anyone with contractual promises of making them Icons or Main Eventers so soon, even though I barely know what I'm doing. Well, case in point :p

Next post, going back in time and looking at our first show.

<p>The advantage with PPA's is that if a particular contract really is killing you, it does not cost you anything to cancel that contract. Yes, you'll lose that worker (I don't know how soon you can get them back to the negotiation table), but better that then going bankrupt. </p><p> </p><p>

Good luck with the diary. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Our first show!</p><p> After spending what seems like hours pouring over worker files, making calls and eventually signing papers, Kate is about to reap the rewards. And yet, there is much nervosity. No wild reaction, but it wasn't supposed to get one.</p><p> Zoe Ammis is Madame Zara, a gypsy. Ariel Bentley is Pinky Kitty, a pink-haired, pink-dressed, skinny catgirl taking her fashion sense and attitude from Japan's pop scene. Shush now.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The next match begins with Black Witch doing a spooky entrance. Something a bit more elaborate than usual, with lighting effects and appropriate music. Aftermath of SN1

Cobra did well enough that I thought I might want him "attached" to the company some more, so a contract was offered and accepted.

Still wading through all the workers populating this wonderful world, I found more of interest:

* Roxy Kitten, hired as a manager

* Jack Griffith, planned as an icon. He just looks so close to one main event character I had in mind. I didn't get him earlier because of his drinking past, but then I realized, eh, he's over it, right? Plus, he's a positive influence.

* Vixxen, was hired as a Road Agent because I wanted potential bonuses, and the ability to use the Auto Booker

Finances are doing good. Sponsors earned me more than I thought, and the show didn't cost too much, so we're in the black and with some to spare.

I've started upgrading some of the Production Values by a rank. I'm getting lots of e-mails of my rivals doing the same, if not way more. I guess I need to keep up to a point.

Oh, wait, strike that, finances are aiming for the cliff already.

See, I hired Roxy Kitten with a Wage Matching clause. See, I didn't know what it meant. I thought it only looked at workers in the same category (say, wrestlers, if not even the push level!)... but no huh? It's per contract type... meaning she'll match ANYONE I hire, eh?

And of course, I know this because it's happened twice already. Jack Griffith being a veteran cost me a bunch... and Vixxen was the same. Oh joy, miss manager is now costing me $1300 a pop. Ack.

I suppose renegociating is not gonna help much, so I'll stick to this for a while... and not use her TOO much. Definitely learned my lesson.

SUPERNATURALS 2 - Friday, Week 2, February 2016

648 people showed up at The Junkyard for this second show. That's less than the first one by a bit.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/BigRed_zpsf8d8vc0w.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/WitchDark_zps8ejzbmri.jpg

Big Red VS Black Witch [33]

(Laura Flame)

Big Red is a take on the Little Red Riding Hood, except... more streetwise and badassery included. Her Bad Ass gimmick only gets Average for now.

Much better opener this time, the crowd is happy. That beats an 18 by two veterans any day...

Big Red defeats Black Witch with a Choke Slam, in about 10 minutes.

Madame Zara Reads the Cards [32]

Madame Zara is shown in her lodge, reading tarot cards, just lit by various candles. The ambiance is made even spookier when Zara looks up with a wicked smile on her face.

Zoe Ammis still rocking it. Only been in angles so far... wait until you see the wrestling!

Ghostie Phantom VS Jör [29]

(Simony Sentinel)

"Cobra" is back, under his new retcon name of Jör. He is a snake-man, very cold and calculating. He goes against Ghostie Phantom, a rather mysterious ghost lady with very cliché sheets and chains, and the two-holes-for-the-eyes mask.

Jör gets a Great gimmick debut. Overall good performance from both, I'm happy.

I used an actual mask on Ghostie. I don't remember exactly how masks are used in the game, but I believe it might allow me to put it on a different wrestler and retain the prestige? This might even be a nice trick for me to keep a *character* while switching wrestlers when things don't work out... I don't have *that* many ideas that I can afford to "waste" them.

Ghostie defeats Jör in 7 minutes with a Phantom Spear.

Bonus: Ghostie's entrance.

Amazon Challenges All of You! [34]

Amazing Amazon comes to the ring and declares she's good enough to take on all worthy opponents. She seems to believe there's no way she can lose.

Right, so, her debut wasn't so Amazing. But thankfully, Geena knows how to work a mic and she does well here.

The storyline launched here is about Amazon taking on various opponents. I found it hard, or at least counter-intuitive, to create such a Storyline, since it requires a major opponent.

How would you create such things? Or something like John Cena's US Open Challenge for example. Would you always think ahead and put, say, Kevin Owens as the Major opponent, even if he only shows up months later?

I kinda did that here, trying to pick someone that might make sense down the line... and in the meantime, I'm adding each opponent as a minor opposition.

Biceps From Hell [38]

Azrael is shown backstage powerlifting a huge weight in order to show his incredible physical strength.

Yup, Raul Darkness is good on camera. People already love him enough that this is the most popular segment so far. Hm!

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Amazon_zpsqkjv20bf.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Kate%20Avatar_zpsxyz3qdfs.jpg

Amazon VS Hellcat [39]

Hellcat is being a meowing nuisance. She'll be spying on you from a dark room (you'll know because of her glowy eyes), stealing your food or mocking you from a distance. That's too much weasely weaseling for Amazon.

As such, Hellcat is the first official victim of Amazon's self-assigned challenge, after 10 minutes of decent wrestling.

Bonus: Amazon's entrance.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Outlaw1_zpslg6trub0.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PinkyKitty2_zpscyxgh1b8.jpg

Outlaw VS Pinky Kitty [25]

Outlaw is a bad dude from the Old West. Robbed a buncha banks and coaches, yes ma'am. Tipped a cow or two even. Betcha can hit that bottle from here, with one hand behind mah back! Huh? No guns?! You tryin ta amputitate me?! Ha! Ya know what? I got these two other guns right here! Plenty o' ammo in those, too!

Imagine his face when he learned Pinky was his opponent.

This was meant as a comedy bout, Pinky mostly dancing around her opponent and playing to the crowd. But ultimately, Outlaw, exasperated, defeats Kitty with a dirty pin, using the ropes, to much booing from the crowd.

This was meant to calm the crowd and did so.

I do wonder, is there a point calming the crowd in every show? Or should that just become a concern once I get told the crowd's exhausted? Something tells me my shows so far are nowhere near breathtaking.

Bonus: Pinky Kitty's entrance at the beginning of this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4Qt6YP1oWk

Zara adds insult to injury, and some extra injury too [17]

First, looking at my log, I realize I messed up this angle. Outlaw won, and yet the angle pretends Kitty won. Oops.

So let's say Zara instead came to beat up a defeated Pinky. Still works :p

Or not, considering the grade. I remember having that issue with these post-match angles with AAA. I'm going to guess it's based on their short time AND the fact they're based on Popularity, which might not be high enough yet to make this work. Not everyone is an Azrael.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/HeroHeart_zpsspdt8lee.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Azrael_zpsrgl9mu1c.jpg

Hero Heart VS Azrael [39]

(Maria Guest)

If you know Power Rangers, you get a sense of what Hero Heart is. She's the member of a sentai, a group of 5 usually (always?) color-coded heroes who fight evil in costumes. And what better (or worst?) evil to fight than Azrael, the devil incarnate!

Well, we may have to ask Hero Heart once she wakes up from the Down to Hell Piledriver Azrael hit on her. But don't worry, the crowd liked it!

Bonus: Azrael's entrance.

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/LadyBlood_zps0g7krpwr.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Quentin%20Queen_zpsbgmyxgvw.jpg

Lady Blood VS Gabriel [29]

Gabriel continues his own fight against the forces of darkness. It's a tough fight, and made even tougher when Azrael runs to the ring and attacks Gabriel while the ref isn't looking.

In spite of these odds, Gabriel gets a pin on the vampiress.

If I remember correctly, this was done as a Storyline match, and that might have been the reason for the low rating as everyone was "holding back"... and possibly not having the required stats to pull that kind of aim? (is it Psychology?)

Well, yet another main event that tanks somewhat compared to the rest of the card. This will have to change!

Bonus: Lady Blood's entrance.

* Joanna Silver, as a wrestler. She's an Entertainer, but I was looking for a jobber of sorts. Turns out she wasn't OK with being Enhancement Talent, so I have her as Opener. She's not complaining anymore.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Shortly after being hired, Joanna actually complained about her initial push. Twice! I was getting a bit annoyed that she wouldn't accept her position, and left her as is into the next show.</p><p> </p><p>

That's when I got a locker room event. Nooo!</p><p>

Oh, wait, she actually drew caricatures of her colleagues and it amused everyone. Oh, um... okay, keep doing your thing then!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Professor Devil (Roxxy Kitten) now manages Giant. Poor guy definitely needs a boost. They would immediately give us an example of their new alliance by beating down Pixie Dust.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PirateCaptainLady_zps2j1vbdvk.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PirateCaptainLady_zps2j1vbdvk.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

Joanna Silver makes her first appearance as Captain Crimson, a colorful and cocky pirate. It's not exactly the character she used to be, but at least she's familiar with the tropes.</p><p>

There was a communication issue with her match though, as Death Biker was meant to dominate and pin her... but because I wasn't 100% explicit about who was supposed to win (isn't "DB dominates" obvious?!), well... Crimson ended up winning it. Oh well, it made for an interesting surprise.</p><p>

All in all, Joanna proved that she wasn't used to doing that much wrestling during a match. Her previous gig was much more about storytelling and... well... showing some skin... than duking it out. Still, Biker helped keep things rolling.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Backstage, Madame Zara is looking around a corner at Pinky Kitty. She seems to be plotting something bad and makes a satisfied smile while rubbing her hands.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The camera then turns as someone comes up behind her. It's a rugged looking msucled man wearing a simple shirt and jean shorts. Zara notices him and gasps. Her eyes say that she knows him and is not at ease with him being around.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

</em><a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Jack%20Griffith_zpsbbhsx9yz.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Jack%20Griffith_zpsbbhsx9yz.jpg</span></a><em> => </em><a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg</span></a></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Jack Wolff gives her an intense stare, then moves on.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Wolff is our newcomer. He's another veteran like Raoul Darkness / Azrael. Not quite yet declining, but probably soon. Planning to give him one final run of glory as a grizzled veteran. He is meant to be a werewolf, though there won't be any "live" transformations for obvious reasons. He's meant to show a monstrous side from time to time, though.</p><p> </p><p>

Later that night, Jack would challenge Zara to a match, which would push her to make an alliance with Black Witch, given their similar background. It's obvious Zara is taking this very seriously.</p><p> </p><p>

When showing up to Jack's challenge, Zara would be accompanied by Black Witch. In answer to this, Jack would simply call up Pinky Kitty to be his partner.</p><p> </p><p>

Ultimately, Jack would win the match by pinning Black Witch after dropping her with his Full Moon spinning slam.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<em>Two backstage staff members are seen whispering about scary members of the roster, when Lady Blood appears out of nowhere and simply bites one of them in the neck. Seconds of drinking later, she drops the unconscious man to the floor, rubs the tip of her prolonged canine with her tongue and sighs. "So bland..."</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The remaining staff member is frozen in shock as Lady Blood calmly walks away.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

The main event was Azrael VS Big Red, with the devil still dominant. It did just about as well as the co-main event. Good times!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Final Show Rating: 32</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Thoughts:</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jack Wolff and Zara were amazing this night and really showed great talent, both in the ring and outside of it. Sadly, Pinky Kitty appearing a bit too much seemed to weigh on the crowd who didn't quite care for her being pushed so hard so fast.</p><p> </p><p>

Hey, increase in popularity!</p>

<p>Supernaturals 4</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Aftermath of SN3</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I can't remember if it happened this month or earlier, but Death Biker has also started dating Gabriel / Quinn. Fun!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I have an impressively positive locker room mood. I haven't done it on purpose, besides avoiding people with awful poisonous personalities, but I've ended up with a LOT of positive influences back there. That's a change from my old AAA game where a couple bad people were ruining everything.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

New hirees:</p><p> </p><p>

I have a pretty big roster already, so I'm mostly trying to find jobbers. I could use "hire local", but my product requires concepts that go beyond "1 personality trait" and are hardly reusable... so it's hard to rely on hiring people on short notice, unless, like Cobra, they have a fitting gimmick to start with.</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Natalie%20DiMarco_zpspbdu77wf.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Natalie%20DiMarco_zpspbdu77wf.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Tyrone%20Gray_zpsvdepztjh.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Tyrone%20Gray_zpsvdepztjh.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

Natalie DiMarco, Tyron Gray</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I have them on my new contract template "one-time". 3 months or 1 show. I might use this multiple times to get a feel for them, and then hire them more permanently.</p><p> </p><p>

Note from the future: I've realized one show is problematic because contracts will automatically end and you can't extend them if they do well. I've since switched to 6 months / 3 shows contracts when testing workers. Gives me the "last show" warning and I can extend them.</p><p> </p><p>

I've also realized it's a good idea not to assign a low push right away as they get to complain earlier. That way, I keep the "surprise" until the day before the show and it won't affect them much. If they really prove they're worth a better push, they'll get it.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, I'm finding it hard to find "bad" wrestlers that could act as jobbers and be fine with it. The locals tend to have E popularities or more and decent skills, meaning they asks for lots of money and auto-push high, sometimes higher than my Openers I want to job them to XD. I'm glad everyone out there is great, but uh... I need jobbers to put the low card over :/ Any tricks to this when you're a small company with low popularity?</p><p>

So far I've just forced an Enhancement Talent push on them, but the game makes it feel like I'm doing something wrong. Plus, having to pay jobbers $700+ when some of my openers cost $250 also feels wrong.</p><p> </p><p>

Note from the future: after clarifying pushes on these forums, things have gone smoother. I'm more aware of the "value" of a worker before I hire them, and tend to follow the push recommendations as is. Mostly I don't hire locals to job anymore, because none are really worse than what I have on roster. I just use anyone low enough (I have hired people who stay at Opener level) to job to higher workers. Works fine.</p><p>

I get the feeling using locals might be more useful to bigger companies as such.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">SUPERNATURALS 4 - Friday, Week 2, April 2016</span></p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/201604_Supernats04_231810_zpss7yyppu1.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/th_201604_Supernats04_231810_zpss7yyppu1.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

I'm trying out the All Out note for various matches, usually openers and main events, and am getting varied results. Some workers do well with it as long as I do <10 minutes matches. Others just don't manage, either because of really bad stamina or because, I assume, of bad Psychology? ("penalized for trying to go all out"... kinda cryptic as to "why exactly")</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PirateCaptainLady_zps2j1vbdvk.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PirateCaptainLady_zps2j1vbdvk.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/HeroHeart_zpsspdt8lee.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/HeroHeart_zpsspdt8lee.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Kurt%20Lovenkrantz_zpscsrayg7h.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Kurt%20Lovenkrantz_zpscsrayg7h.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Captain Crimson comes to the ring with a microphone, Soon music is heard, of the kind that accompanies sea chanties. And truly enough, Crimson starts singing one which relates her victory over Death Biker and derides all the competitors of Supernats.</em></p><p><em>

As she's about to leave, Hero Heart appears and, in the name of the Sun, declares she shall be punished! Crimson cackles. "Al' right, al'right! If that's what ye want, I'll kick yer arse!"</em></p><p><em>

Follows a short scuffle soon put to rest by the referee. It seems like this will be resolved in a match later that night.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Jör and Pinky had a match with 36 rating, which is surprisingly good. Makes one wonder why I have them so low on the card eh?...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/LadyBlood_zps0g7krpwr.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/LadyBlood_zps0g7krpwr.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/ChildOfTheWild_zps2ry8pccv.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/ChildOfTheWild_zps2ry8pccv.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Lady Blood is once more seen strolling in the dark hallways. Her eyes open wider and she licks her lips with a smile. The camera points at what she's seen: a lone stagehand.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

The vampiress stalks silently and is about to grab the man when Wild appears out of nowhere to block her way. The stagehand is startled and, seeing the situation, decides to hightail it.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Wild and miss Blood remain, staring each other down. The young savage extends her arm and wags her index. "T-t-t! Bad!" This has the vampiress hiss loudly at Wild who gets in a defensive stance, ready to fight. "Ohhh ho ho! Really?" says the lady mockingly, "You think you can take me on?"</em></p><p><em>

Wild answers with an even more determined look. "Heh! So be it. I will see that this be arranged..."</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><em>

Lady Blood turns and disappears into the shadows. Wild looks on, unwinding but with fire in her eyes.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Rating: 36. Good job from both.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/WitchDark_zps8ejzbmri.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/WitchDark_zps8ejzbmri.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Black Witch is in a dark room lit by sickly green lights coming from a large cauldron. She drops various dubious ingredients in the mixture and stirs with glee, while reciting incantations. The scene ends on a close up of her face lit from below, to the sound of the thick liquid boiling.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Rating: 34. Black Witch can totally handle promos on her own and that's great. I get a feeling Elsa Calvo is gold in the making.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

In a match rated 43 where Death Biker defeated Hellcat, she sadly also got injured. A Swollen Maritime Elbow. At least we get a sense of the potential of these two!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I tried one of these super short promo segments to hype the Wild vs Lady Blood match... Well... rating 12. I guess these segments are worthless for me at that point because of how short they are. I suppose to get a decent rating from them you'd need really popular workers to offset the penalties from shortness. That said, I believe they're Minor angles, so inconsequential? I suppose they're meant to fill up time to reach the more stringent TV requirements?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/BigRed_zpsf8d8vc0w.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/BigRed_zpsf8d8vc0w.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Big Red meets Jack Wolff in the hallway, backstage. She gives him a deadly glare and seems to tremble with rage. Then she goes away in a huff. Jack looks on with a worried look on his face.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Wild and Lady Blood gave us a 34-rated match, with a 40 perf for Blood. Not bad, not bad!</p><p> </p><p>

But then Jack Wolff and Madame Zara give us a 50-rated match! Holy wow! And that's with Jack off his game and tiring. Turns out Zara did the best job with her 49 perf (40 for Jack).</p><p>

Note from the future: this would be early proof of Zara (Zoe Ammis)'s impressive talent. Not that I noticed she was behind all the good ratings right away...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Final Show Rating: 36</strong></p><p>

and popularity increasing...</p><p> </p><p>

Definitely our best show so far. Ratings are slowly climbing up now, which either means I've hired better people, or I'm getting the hang of things. Either way, woop!</p>

<strong>Aftermath of SN4</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Death Biker's injury means she will be out for a while. Usually this wouldn't be a problem as I run monthly shows, but this month, I decided to try for a "PPV" style event. Not actual PPV since I have no TV deals, but a bigger event than usual, with some money thrown for the stage and 2 hours of length instead of 1h30. So, no Death Biker at that event. Oh well, no big deal.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">SN BAD BLOOD - Saturday, Week 4, April 2016</span></p><p> </p><p>

Did my first 4-way match. It's funny, I used to spam these kinds of matches back in AAA, because I thought having only 1v1 matches was boring. Since, I've realized these matches are rather rare in actual wrestling (yeah, I'm a latecomer to this, too -- still learning!) So now I tend to keep "special" matches to a minimum. Eh, maybe I shouldn't. After all, Supernats is not your regular wrestling show <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Either way, it is a nice way to get many people wrestling, get longer matches even with low carders, and average out the final rating even when you have a bad worker in there. Good way to get a sense of who's performing well (in this case, Hero Heart gave us a D- perf).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Gypsy_zpsoepq2cui.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Gypsy_zpsoepq2cui.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/WitchDark_zps8ejzbmri.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/WitchDark_zps8ejzbmri.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

Madame Zara and Black Witch have formed an alliance. They will be known as Hexellence!</p><p>

It seems thematically fitting and it gives me my first official Tag Team, woop!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Mummy_zpsut0gizhp.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Mummy_zpsut0gizhp.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

Natalie Di Marco makes her debut as The Mummy. Basically, she's a tan-skinned lady mostly wrapped in bandages and moving like a zombie. It's kind of an excuse for her beginner wrestling skills and fits the gimmick. If she ends up doing well, she might follow her WWE2K14 alter ego's fate and get the bandages off. Otherwise I might have to put someone else beneath these bandages.</p><p>

I can't remember but I think I have put a Mask on her to represent that fact you can't see who she really is. As for anyone else I did that with, I was counting on the fact it might help me "pass" the mask at will if I needed her replaced. Apparently that's not how Masks work <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />...</p><p>

Either way, I'll at least use the excuse in-setting. It's sad that popularity will be totally separate if I do that, but at least I'll keep the *concepts*.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PinkyKitty2_zpscyxgh1b8.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/PinkyKitty2_zpscyxgh1b8.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Kate%20Avatar_zpsxyz3qdfs.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Kate%20Avatar_zpsxyz3qdfs.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

Pinky Kitty and Hellcat bump into each other backstage, start hissing at each other and finally agree to a match. Eh, cats and their territories <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Sadly, the match didn't do great because these two don't have good chemistry. Argh.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Cobra_zpsgxcvdyvo.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Cobra_zpsgxcvdyvo.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Tyrone%20Gray_zpsvdepztjh.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Tyrone%20Gray_zpsvdepztjh.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

Jör and Animal Boy (Tyrone Gray) had a match.</p><p> </p><p>

Animal Boy is a guy who can channel the abilities of various animals... say, boa constrictor for submissions, big cat for agility, bear for strength, etc... He would basically be an all-rounder. I'm not quite sure I checked his stats would even fit the concept though :|...</p><p>

As mentioned earlier, Animal Boy was meant to be a jobber to Jör (who was meant to be a jobber not so long ago but did so well I changed my mind XD).</p><p> </p><p>

Tyrone / Animal Boy didn't quite like being booked that way, but Jör wordlessly convinced him that it was for the best. Huh. Thanks Jör, I guess!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Madame Zara and Professor Devil are seen backstage plotting something in hushed tones. Hmm...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Jack Wolff comes out of the shower, wrapped only in a towel and still glistening. A female stagehand stumbles upon him, looks terribly embarassed, and leaves. Jack looks a a bit surprised. The camera lingers for a bit, allowing the audience to get a good look at this enticing physique.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Rating: C</p><p> </p><p>

... best... segment... so far XD...</p><p>

So yeah, sex sells huh? I dunno, I just saw Jack Griffith had high Sex Appeal and ... and this just came to mind. Still rather tame (I have T&A set as "none" in the Product, so I don't think it would make sense to go beyond that kind of scene?)</p><p>

I'd rather not abuse that kind of stuff, but it's awfully tempting when you get such ratings out of it ;_;</p><p>

Will have to check the Sex Appeal of my ladies too >.>...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Azrael_zpsrgl9mu1c.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Azrael_zpsrgl9mu1c.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Quentin%20Queen_zpsbgmyxgvw.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Quentin%20Queen_zpsbgmyxgvw.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Azrael comes to the ring with a microphone and starts dissing the audience. Maggots, all of them! Unworthy of his presence! But they should be reassured, soon they won't have to writhe aimlessly anymore. The devil-incarnate says he will have a surprise for them. Patience!</em></p><p><em>

Gabriel interrupts and clashes with him in the middle of the ring. There will be no devilish surprise if he has anything to do about it! Azrael seems unfazed, amused even! He says the bigger maggot will surely enjoy his gift... then leaves, leaving a fuming angel behind.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Rating: D-</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I tried to have a match called in the ring with Wild and Lady Blood. Unfortunately, Wild is not good enough for that. But the road agent didn't say anything about Lady Blood, so it's a good sign?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Azrael_zpsrgl9mu1c.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/Azrael_zpsrgl9mu1c.jpg</span></a> <a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/user/leokhorn/media/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/leokhorn/TEW%202016%20-%20Supernaturals/JackWolff1_zpswxs3i04t.jpg</span></a></p><p> </p><p>

The main even had Azrael take on Jack Wolff. Jack might have had a chance, but Madame Zara made sure to interfere and give the devil an opportunity to place his Down To Hell piledriver and win the match.</p><p>

I went for a Wild Brawl on this one, since both seemed to have good stats in Brawling. Sadly, this meant All Out, and even at 12 minutes, this was too much for both workers. Azrael has shown a lack of Stamina ever since I hired him, but I was sad to see Jack having trouble with this too.</p><p>

(note: match intensity is 40%, which I bet has an impact on match length + stamina requirements)</p><p> </p><p>

Still got a D- rating out of this, so not too shabby.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Final Show Rating: E+</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I've switched back to grades since it's apparently how the game's meant to be played, so I'm unsure how to compare previous ratings. From the color coding, I'd say this was a little worse than SN4?</p><p> </p><p>

Another increase in Popularity. I've checked, our rating hasn't really moved, but I peeked in the data and, yes, it's getting 0.1 or 0.2% increases each time. Gonna take a while to get anywhere it seems... but at least it's progress!</p><p> </p><p>

---</p><p> </p><p>

By the way, is anyone following this or should I use the What's Going On In Your Game thread for further postings?</p><p> </p><p>

On a related note, I know I don't write elaborate match summaries, though I try to retype the content of major angles in here. Since I have most of the material ready, I thought I could pick some of the most important matches and play them out in WWE 2K14 and post the videos along with the summaries. Would that be of interest?</p>
