<b>Monday Night Raw</p><p>

June 12, 2006</p><p>

Bryce Jordan Center</p><p>

University Park, Pennsylvania</b></p><p> </p><p>

Just one night ago, Extreme Championship Wrestling returned with a bang. Not only did Extremist Kurt Angle defeat RAW Superstar, Randy Orton, but in the main event of the evening an even more shocking ending came. The WWE Champion John Cena walked into dangerous territory when he stepped through the curtain and into the Hammerstein Ballroom, chants raining down of "You can't wrestle!". All the boos turned to cheers however when Mr. Money In The Bank, Rob Van Dam stepped out and walked down the aisle ready for his WWE Championship match. What we saw over the next twenty minutes was a different side of John Cena, almost like he was fighting for his life in the enemies backyard. Even with everything Cena had though, it just wasn't enough do to the wild wild west style of rules ECW has. The champion looked to have the win in the palms of his hands but out of the crowd came a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and within a flash that man would hit John Cena with a devastating spear. A few moments after that man revealed himself to be Edge, and he was rained down on with cheers, the ECW faithful thanking him for opening up this opportunity for Rob Van Dam. What an opportunity indeed though as Mr. ECW scaled to the top rope, hitting Cena with a Five Star Frog Splash, which led to Paul Heyman running down the aisle and as the referee was out cold we saw Heyman count the pinfall himself. Rob Van Dam, a ECW Extremist now holding Monday Night Raw's top prize, what does that have in store for tonight's edition of Raw, just one day before ECW's return to television.</p><p>

<i>Segment Type: Video Recap</p><p>

Segment Rating: 76 B-</i></p><p> </p><p>

After the Monday Night Raw intro we see on screen a ECW Banner in the background, standing in front is none other than the Head Of ECW, <b>Paul Heyman</b>. With a big grin on his face he begins to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen, last night you all witnessed the revival of Extreme Championship Wrestling. It was only two days away from our return to television, which takes place tomorrow night at ten p.m. eastern on the SyFy network if I might add, but never the less we brought you One Night Stand and what a spectacle it was! Not only did you have Tazz choke out that crook of a so called King, Jerry Lawler, but all throughout the night you had ECW showing just how damn good we are. Sure, some of you may be saying 'What about Edge and Mick Foley? They won! ECW lost in that one!', but did we really? Because not only was an ECW Original in Mick Foley apart of that winning team, but let me direct your attention to the main event of One Night Stand. Who opened up the door for Rob Van Dam to walk through? None other than Mick's partner in that match, Edge. So did ECW really lose? However, while i'm talking about Edge, I as the Head Of ECW would like to roll out the red carpet to you, an invitation for you to come tomorrow night to the return of ECW on television! Not just to shake your hand in person, but so you Edge can come face to face with a real champion.", as Heyman said this the camera slowly panned to the right, Heyman still in frame but now to his right was the <b>WWE Champion Rob Van Dam</b>. With a cocky laugh, Rob simply did his catchphrase, both arms bending down as he said "Rob! Van! Dam!". After he spun the centerplate on the WWE Championship before laughing as Paul Heyman continued on speaking. "But now the question arrives, what's going to happen to RAW's championship? What's going to happen to the WWE Championship? Well let me tell you this, you'll find out soon, but not tonight. Oh no, you RAW fan will just have to turn into ECW tomorrow night to find out what happens to your championship, and by the way, John Cena, I give you an open invitation to show up because Rob will gladly beat you again.", Paul finished speaking now for the segment and the last visual we'd see was the WWE Champion Rob Van Dam moving the centerplate of the WWE Championship as if it was a turntable, making it a complete joke.</p><p>

<b>Randy Orton vs. Rob Conway</b></p><p>

After just twenty four hours removed from a loss against Kurt Angle, tonight Randy Orton looked to get back on track. Back on track is what he did as well as he faced Rob Conway one on one. It was a much more vicious side of Orton as well, uppercuts and forearms galore being thrown keeping Conway guessing the entire match. At the end though, Randy ended up dropping Rob with a RKO for the pinfall victory.</p><p>

<img src="<a href="http://i.imgur.com/2FnVSRX.png" rel="external nofollow">http://i.imgur.com/2FnVSRX.png"</a> style="max-width:100%;"></p><p>

We cut to a graphic showing that tonight, John Cena looks to get redemption of the man who cost him the WWE Championship last night, Edge. In the background we hear Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross discussing just how big this main event will be, worthy of a pay-per-view main event.</p><p>

After coming back from commercial break, we see <b>Jonathan Coachman</b> standing beside the Chairman of WWE, and the current Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw, <b>Vince McMahon</b>. "Boss, so you're still going through with this? Don't get me wrong, I agree one hundred percent that Triple H should pay for what he did to you last week, but should you really sacrifice the health of one of RAW's best talents right now?", Jonathan asked, to which Vince just gave him an evil glare. "What the hell do you think? I can make anyone a star, hell I could give you a water bottle and tell you to go spit some water and you'd be a star. Of course i'm going through with this, Triple H is going to learn just like Shawn Michaels did. I'm going to put him on the shelf for good! Same exact way too, because tonight Triple H will go against the Spirit Squad in a five on one handicap match! They're going to rip him limb from limb, and when they're finished? I'm going to that ring myself and pinning Triple H.", after saying this, Vince McMahon began to laugh and the camera focused on Jonathan Coachman's look of concern that tonight he may witness the demise of another superstar.</p><p>

<b>Carlito vs. Johnny Nitro</b></p><p>

The Intercontinental Championship is in an interesting position as of late, with champion <b>Shelton Benjamin</b> losing just last week to one of the competitors in the match happening now, <b>Carlito</b>. Considering he's already been confirmed to have a shot at Benjamin in the near future, Carlito's stock is high right now but his opponent tonight is a man looking to raise his stock as well, that being <b>Johnny Nitro</b>. Joining commentary for this match was Shelton Benjamin himself, and on commentary throughout he continued to give excuses as to why Carlito beat him last week. Jealousy coming up as near the end of the match, Benjamin left the announce table, tripping Carlito's feet up as he ran the ropes which led to Johnny Nitro hitting the Moonlight Drive to pick up the pinfall.</p><p>

<i>Segment Type: Match</p><p>

Segment Rating: 70 C+</i></p><p> </p><p>

Following the match, <b>Shelton Benjamin</b> entered the ring, standing over the downed <b>Carlito</b> now holding the Intercontinental Championship high in the air. "You got lucky last week! You can't even beat Johnny Nitro, what makes you think you can beat me for this? Huh? You're nothin' but a fl-", Benjamin began running his mouth, but he took his eye off of the other man in the ring, and <b>Johnny Nitro</b> hit a wheelkick to the back of Shelton Benjamin's head. The Intercontinental Championship hit the mat, and Melina picked it up, handing it to Johnny Nitro as the duo posed with it. Johnny Nitro showing he can, and possibly will be a player in this division.</p><p>

Cutting backstage now we see <b>Randy Orton</b> standing next to an interview as he get's asked about his thoughts on what happened at ECW One Night Stand. "You know, I could stand here and give excuses, I really could, but last night in his home court Kurt Angle was the better man. See that's the thing though, I accepted his challenge, I went to war on his turf, so consider this right here and now a challenge. Kurt, if you're watching this, I want a rematch but this time on my turf, at Vengeance. You beat me one more time? Fine, i'll say you're the better man overall, but until that day I will stand with both feet firmly to the ground and look you in the eye because I know there's not a damn chance you can do it again. Don't worry though, Kurt. If Paulie boy has you on a leash since drafting you, that's fine, he can come to. I'll beat both your asses. So tomorrow night? On ECW's return to television? I'm going to need an answer." after saying this he looked at the interviewer now, laughing before shaking his head. "You think I can't beat him?", after asking the question, Orton slapped the interviewer across the face. "HUH?! YOU THINK HE'S BETTER THAN ME?!", he asked again, dropping the microphone as he grabbed the interviewer, throwing him into the interview set before stomping him a few times as Orton would then exit.</p><p>

<b>Triple H vs. Spirit Squad</b></p><p>

It's been a constant struggle for weeks between Vince McMahon and Triple H, the later feeling he's been looked over in favor of other talents, but because of getting on the bad side of Vince McMahon we now find <b>Triple H</b> taking on all five members of the <b>Spirit Squad</b> at once. Early on in the match, Triple H was taking them all down with punches, one after another, separating them up by throwing members over the top rope isolating one member but it could only last one on one for so long. Once the numbers game finally worked, it went downhill and downhill fast for the former WWE Champion. All five members just beating down Triple H, keeping the attack on not letting up one bit. They even got Triple H down to the point where they could do their signature toss up, throwing him into the air only for him to crash down onto the canvas. Just after this Kenny scaled up to the top rope, and just before he'd dive we suddenly heard the voice of <b>Vince McMahon</b>. "That's it damnit! Destroy him! Kenny! Hit him with that leg drop!", he screamed over a microphone and that's exactly what Kenny did, dropping his leg onto the throat and chest of Triple H after diving off the top rope. Vince now began to walk down the ramp, laughing into the microphone talking about how he was about to pin Triple H, when suddenly the crowd roared as they saw <b>Shawn Michaels</b> run out from the back, charging down the ramp past Vince McMahon as he'd slide in the ring. The Heartbreak Kid dropped Mikey with a superkick, before battling off the other four members for just enough time for Triple H to raise to his feet, joining in on the fight. The referee having no choice but to throw the match out as a no contest.</p><p>

<i>Segment Type: Match</p><p>

Segment Rating: 80 B</i></p><p> </p><p>

After the match was thrown out, that didn't stop the returning <b>Shawn Michaels</b> joining up with <b>Triple H</b> as they brawled with the <b>Spirit Squad</b>. "Damn it! Stop! Stop right now! DAMNIT I SAID STOP!", <b>Vince McMahon</b> yelled into the microphone just as Shawn Michaels superkicked Nicky, leaving only one last member of the Spirit Squad in the ring, Kenny. He was dropped quickly though by Triple H as The Game hit a pedigree, and as he was rolled out of the ring the former duo dubbed D-Generation X stood tall in the ring, but their attention now turned to Vince McMahon who entered the ring, completely annoyed as could be. "THAT'S IT! I'VE HAD IT! YOU TWO, BOTH OF YOU, YOU'RE GOING TO RESPECT ME DAMN IT! YOU'RE BOTH GOING TO GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES AND SHOW ME THE RESP-", before he could even finish, Shawn Michaels shrugged his shoulders, lunging towards Vince catching him with a superkick, to which Vince turned right into a Pedigree from Triple H. With only the former duo's member standing tall, they turned to each other, nodding before giving each other a hug. "Is this the return of D-Generation X, JR?", Jerry Lawler asked over commentary as we faded to commercial break.</p><p>

<i>Segment Type: Post Match Attack</p><p>

Segment Rating: 90 A</i></p><p> </p><p>

At the top of the hour we're met with the music of the sixteen time World Champion, <b>Ric Flair</b>. The Nature Boy strutted down to the ring, wearing a high class suit as always and once he was in the ring he grabbed a microphone before starting to speak. "Can we stop now? Can we please stop? All of this talk about ECW, and we're not focusing on what matters and that's the WWE. What matters is Monday Night Raw! What matters is that tonight in the main event, we've got this eras Flair vs. Steamboat on television! Not some highlight clip of something from last night where idiots hit each other with weapons for thirty minutes and call it a night! I wrestled night in and night out! Sixty minute matches! Blood, sweat, and tears shed in this ring but what do I have to hear about? The likes of Terry Funk, the likes of Mick Foley! The likes of Rob Van Dam, a kid who has less respect than anyo-", just as Flair was speaking he'd get interrupted by the sound of a car crash which could only signal that <b>Mick Foley</b> was on his way to the ring. He was bruised and beaten after his tag team war just twenty four hours ago, but he didn't care, with microphone in hand he went face to face with Flair. "Ric, if you're jealous that someone is more relevant than you, just say it. Don't put on a facade saying you hate ECW, because the fact of the matter is that ECW is Ric Flair. They changed the game! And while I may not agree with Paulie now, I have to respect them. You know why? Because while you were politicking in WCW, I was busting my ass spitting on Tag Titles in a Bingo Hall. While you were facing Hulk Hogan at Bash of the Beach, I was proving that I was the King of the Deathmatch against Terry Funk! So don't you dare stand out here and try to spit on the legacy I built, ECW is the thing I put on the map, ECW is the thing I helped make legendary, and if you're spitting on ECW that means you're spitting on Mick Foley and i've waited over a decade to kick your ass so let's stop spitting and start hitting.", Foley threw the microphone down and Ric looked bug eyed, going into his usual theatrics, even throwing his suit jacket down and elbow dropping it. "YOU WANT TO FIGHT? WELL COME ON DADDY, LET'S FIGHT! RIGHT NOW! WOO!", as Flair began to unbutton his dress shirt, Mick Foley dropped down and rolled out of the ring, grabbing his microphone as he did so. "Ric, i'll fight you whenever I want, but that fight? That fight isn't tonight. If you want to fight me, we do it in Charlotte, North Carolina. Vengeance. I kick your ass once and for all, and i'll prove that the Nature Boy isn't nothing more than a cheap imitation of a Buddy of mine.", Mick was walking up the ramp as he said this, dropping it to the ground as he exited the stage while Flair still was in his theatrics. "YOU WANT ME AT VENGEANCE? I'LL GLADLY KICK YOUR FAT ASS IN CHARLOTTE! WOO!", as he said this the camera zoomed in on Ric's face, clearly he was ready to go at any second, completely feeling disrespected.</p><p>

<b>Kane vs. Local Talent(Orlando Colón)</b></p><p>

In the ring we see a local talent, whose being identified as <b>Orlando Colón</b>, cousin of Carlito. His opponent for the night? Sadly for him the Big Red Machine, <b>Kane</b>. Of course this match barely lasted at all, over almost as soon as Kane got his hands on Orlando, chokeslamming him quickly after the bell had rung which led to the pinfall.</p><p>

<i>Segment Type: Match</p><p>

Segment Rating: 55 C-</i></p><p> </p><p>

After the match ended, <b>Kane</b> stood in the middle of the ring raising his arms in the air but as he dropped them, typically his pyro would blast from the steel posts. Tonight however the lights went out, and Kane's very first theme song began to play. The look on Kane's face was confusion, he was almost frozen in fear and as the lights came back on standing behind him was the <b>Imposter Kane</b> we've been seeing for a few weeks now. He spun Kane around, grabbing the Big Red Machine by the throat as he'd chokeslam him down to the canvas, standing tall above the real Kane. The question still remains though, who is this Imposter?</p><p>

<b>Maria vs. Torrie Wilson</b></p><p>

Ever since Mickie James won the Womens Championship, the division has been in a state of panic. No one can seem to get one over on her to take the championship, yet everyone still tries. Truly, Mickie has proved to be a threat and a giant one at that, so with <b>Maria</b> taking on <b>Torrie Wilson</b> tonight it was a big match for both of them. Each trying to hopefully raise their value, and when Maria got a surprise rollup near the end of the match to pick up the pinfall she surely had to have done just that.</p><p>

As the camera followed <b>Maria</b> to the back after her match she suddenly got attacked from behind by the Women's Champion, <b>Mickie James</b>. The champion throwing her around backstage, even slamming Maria into a wall face first. "NO ONE WILL EVER BE ON MY LEVEL! AHAHAHAHA!", James yelled out almost in a state of delusion as the segment ended.</p><p>

<i>Segment Type: Backstage Attack</p><p>

<b>Eugene vs. Umaga</b></p><p>

For a few weeks now, <b>Eugene</b> has been on the recieving end of RAW's Samoan Bulldozer, <b>Umaga's</b> attacks. Tonight it seemed to have reached a climax as they finally had an official match. Eugene even surprising looked well throughout the match, but when push came to shove, Umaga was just too much for Eugene. Picking him apart, almost like he was playing with his food before he ate it. But once Umaga hit the Samoan Spike that was all this match wrote, giving the Samoan the win.</p><p>

<b>Edge vs. John Cena</b></p><p>

It's a match that could main event any pay-per-view of the year, but tonight we get <b>Edge</b> vs. <b>John Cena</b> on live television. What a match it was as well, these two clearly showing how well they know one another. Counter for counter they exchanged, the momentum switching between the two frequently throughout the whole match. John was aggressive as ever as well, clearly showing how badly be screwed out of the championship has him wanting to hurt his opponent tonight. Near the end of the match however, John would get sent into the ropes which is where Lita would spring up onto the apron, and surprisingly enough she had the same motorcycle helmet used from last night's pay-per-view in her hand. With the ref out of position to see, Cena would get cracked in the back of the head by Lita with the helmet, causing Cena to stumble forwards before getting almost split in two with a spear that would give Edge the win via pinfall.</p><p>

As the match ended, <b>Edge</b> and <b>Lita</b> stood tall together, making out even before exiting the ring. Edge looked into one of the cameras as he said. "ECW, the Rated R Superstar will be there, trust me.", and after he said this the two exited the stage and the cameras cut back to John Cena. He slowly rose to his feet, holding the back of his head with one hand while he asked for a microphone with the other. "EDGE! LITA! ROB VAN DAM! AND PAUL HEYMAN! TOMORROW NIGHT? E-C-W! I'M IN. BUT YOU BEST BELIEVE WHEN I SHOW UP I'M TAKING ALL OF YOU OUT! Hell, you can even say for one night? I'm taking it to the extreme.", after saying that Cena threw the mic down and with a angered look in his face exited the ring, ending this episode of Monday Night Raw.</p><p>

6/13/2006 <u>by Phoenix Nitro</u></p><p> </p><p>

Tonight marks the revival of Extreme Championship Wrestling on television, and as the World Wrestling Entertainment is bringing the brand back many rumors regarding talent have came up. It's known that many of the ECW Originals are going to be apart of the brand, but the rumor is that top Ohio Valley Wrestling and Deep South Wrestling prospects will also be called up to the show. The one name we've heard so far is CM Punk, but that can't be confirmed or denied, take it as just a rumor. Another rumor is that Paul Heyman has had quite a hand in directing which talents will be coming to the land of the extreme, and he was even seen at a recent Ring of Honor show backstage. Could this mean a few independent talents have been snatched up by the WWE for the new brand? Only time will tell, and we'll report more as we get information.</div></p>

<b>ECW on Sci Fi</p><p>

June 13, 2006</p><p>

Sovereign Bank Arena</p><p>

Trenton, New Jersey</b></p><p> </p><p>

As the broadcast begins we see a dimly lit hallway. A dark silhouette figure is seen, mainly resembling the body of a man and they begin to wall down the hallway. The footsteps of the man echo through the hall, while on the left wall we see a video coming up of moments from ECW's past. These moments included Terry Funk winning the ECW Championship, Shane Douglas throwing down the NWA Championship, Tommy Dreamer defeating Raven, and the second to last small clip shown was from Guilty as Charged 2001 which is better known as the last pay-per-view of the company. After the last clip ran the silhouette would stop walking as we would hear audio from ECW One Night Stand 2006, more specifically the main event between John Cena and Rob Van Dam. This video would come to an end as the bell would be heard and the fans cheering, meanwhile the silhouette of the man would be revealed to be Paul Heyman who had a big smile on his face as he'd step through a black curtain. The video now would end and we'd transition to the ECW Intro Video.</p><p>

With the first episode of Extreme Championship Wrestling on television in over five years coming to a start, the first thing we hear is the music of <b>WWE Champion Rob Van Dam</b>. The crowd goes wild as the biggest star in ECW currently some would argue walks out through the brick stage, WWE Championship over his shoulder. Following in right behind him however was the Head of ECW, <b>Paul Heyman</b>, he also had a championship over his shoulder however it was the ECW Championship. So when both men now stood in the center of the ring, we'd notice already set up in the middle of the ring was the WWE Championship. Paul having a mic in hand now began to speak, "Ladies and gentlemen, by all means let me give you a warm welcome to the land of the extreme! If this is your first time watch ECW, let me start by telling you exactly how it is. This ain't the WCW, this ain't Monday Night Raw, this ain't Friday Night Smackdown, hell this ain't even the WWE. This is E... C...... W! As the head of ECW, i'd like for you to adjust your attention over to the WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam, and watch closely as to what he does now with that disgusting looking championship that's on his shoulder.", Paul paused now, looking over at Rob Van Dam as he pulled the WWE Championship off of his shoulder before dropping it right in the trash can. The move caused Paul Heyman to laugh, a big smile on his face as he handed the ECW Championship to Rob, to which Rob now proudly strapped around his waist. "That my friends is the last time you will ever hear that championship be remember as being associated with Rob Van Dam, because from now on he is your reigning and defending E.... C.... W! CHAMPION! ROB! VAAAAN! DAAAAAM! Now notice, I said reigning and defending, which unlike other places such as the ones on Monday and Friday nights, that actually means something here. So tonight, we will have an ECW Championship match in our main event when Rob Van Dam defends against...", just as Paul Heyman was about to announce the blockbuster of a main event he was interrupted by the sound of none other than Monday Night Raw superstar <b>Edge</b> as his music began to play. The Rated R Superstar and <b>Lita></b> walked out from behind the curtain and through the brick stage, heading down to the ring to a mixed reaction. Once he was in the ring, Paul simply asked, "I realize I gave you an open invitation, Edge, but as I told you in the back before the show started it was simply to thank you for what you did at One Night Stand, however it certainly wasn't needed. We all witnessed it, Rob had John right in the bag, but none the less I thank you. ECW thanks you.", Paul lowered the microphone before extending his hand for a handshake, however Edge simply snatched the microphone from his hands. "Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa, did I hear you right? I wasn't needed? I wasn't needed?! He got hit with an F-U and was down for the count if it wasn't for me spearing John Cena straight to hell, and that's why i'm here Paul. You see, the Rated R Superstar doesn't do anything for free, so uh, instead of pulling Rob's string and having him vacate that WWE Championship? How about you have him defend it, I dunno? Tonight? Against... me.", Edge looked hostile now, Rob Van Dam now stepping up getting into his face, all while Paul Heyman simply kept his cool and asked for a second microphone. "You see, Edge. I can respect a man like you, coming right into the enemies turf and doing business your way. But uh, you forget, this ain't a show ran by a McMahon or an idiot saying player every two seconds. This show is ran by someone who bows down to no one, so you facing Rob for the vacant WWE Championship? No. So you can run along now, and get the hell off my show, or better yet I can have you out here when I announce that tonight, in the main event we will see Rob Van Dam defend the ECW Championship against.... SA-FREAKIN'-BU!", Paul dropped the microphone and suddenly the lights went out before coming back on a moment later and now standing in the ring behind Edge was <b>Sabu</b>, steel chair in hand. Edge turned around right into the chair being thrown at his head, cracking him in the skull. With Edge out on the mat, Rob Van Dam shrugged his shoulders before scaling to the top rope, diving off hitting a Five Star Frog Splash. Once he rose back to his feet he along with Sabu threw Edge out of the ring before they came face to face with the match graphic now appearing on screen.</p><p>

<b>Big Show vs. Axl Rotten</b></p><p>

It was the first match of the new era of extreme, and with one extremist being ECW Original, <b>Axl Rotten</b> you'd like to think he stood a chance. However when you realize his opponent is the <b>Big Show</b> who joined ECW at the WWE vs. ECW show, you soon realize that Rotten's chances of winning were just that, rotten. So after toying with Axl for a few minutes, though to the original's credit he did manage to catch Big Show with a surprise chair shot across the back, but that only in raged the giant who chokeslammed Axl right after leading to the pinfall.</p><p>

We'd cut backstage to see a closeup of a man's left arm. The camera would pan down his arms, showing off his tattoo's as suddenly we'd hear him speak as he'd say, "Don't let these tattoo's fool you, i'm straightedge." After saying this the camera would pan up his chest before we now would be looking at the male who was known from the independent wrestling scene as, CM Punk. "I'm a man of great discipline. I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, my addiction is wrestling. My obsession is competition and discipline.", there would be a slight pause before he'd finish speaking as he'd introduce himself to the audience, "My name is C..M... Punk." It was a big deal when the music of who some call the heart of ECW, <b>Tommy Dreamer</b> hit. He came out to a big reaction and he was thankful for it as he was set to face <b>Stevie Richards</b>. The match had a lot of back and forth action, really showing off that even the ECW Originals can go in the ring ahead of the ECW Championship main event. Once Tommy hit a DDT on Stevie though that was all she wrote, and the match ended via pinfall.</p><p>

We would return ringside, but suddenly music that would be similar to that you would hear in a strip club would play. Justin Roberts would then come over the microphone before saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage, Kelly Kelly!". The blonde we saw last week would strut out onto the ECW Stage, a single black chair sitting in the middle of the stage. For the next few minutes we would see the blonde perform a strip tease, which would end up with her taking off her bra and cupping her breasts with her hand, however as this happened a man suddenly would appear from the back. He had a beard and was a very big guy, he also was carrying a white towel. Quickly he'd cover Kelly Kelly before yelling at her, "What are you doing?! I told you that you don't have to do this anymore!". Kelly would just look down at the ground and the bearded man would point towards the curtain of the stage as he'd yell, "Go.". The exhibitionist would listen and head through the curtain, soon to be followed by the bearded man who some may have recognized from the developmental territory as Mike Knox. Though casual fans wouldn't get a chance to hear a name be put on this new superstar.</p><p>

<b>ECW Championship</p><p>

Sabu vs. Rob Van Dam</b></p><p>

The inaugural main event for ECW on Sci-Fi is none other than <b>Sabu</b> attempting to already dethrone the newly crowned <b>ECW Champion Rob Van Dam</b>. Both men came out to cheers from the audience and once the match got underway they used everything to their advantage. Not only did they use technical wrestling a bit, they also quickly went into a few bigger spots including an outside dive from Van Dam to Sabu. After a bit of back and forth brawling on the outside, Sabu threw a chair and cracked Van Dam in the head with it, opening up the opportunity for Sabu to roll RVD in the ring, only to go for a pinfall which only got a two count however. Sabu would then slide out of the ring, grabbing the chair and tossing it in before doing almost a leg drop onto Van Dam assisted by the chair. Following this it looked like the Homicidal, Genocidal, Suicidal, Death Defying Sabu was going for a Triple Jump Moonsault, but Rob rolled out of the way. As Sabu came crashing onto the mat he then rolled over only to get hit with a Rolling Thunder by the champ, followed up by a Five Star Frog Splash for the victory after a pin was made.</p><p>

As the bell sounded, <b>ECW Champion Rob Van Dam</b> rose to his feet, grabbing the championship as he celebrated in the ring. Once <b>Sabu</b> recovered a bit, the two hugged in the middle of the ring but out of the crowd came a man holding a steel pipe. That man quickly showing his face to be none other than Monday Night Raw Superstar, <b>John Cena</b>. As he slid in, he swung the pipe, cracking Sabu in the back dropping the ECW Original before his sights turned to Rob Van Dam. With the pipe tightly in his grasp, Cena swung for the fences, missing as RVD ducked under and swept John's leg. However what happened next left many in the crowd stunned. The Rated R Superstar <b>Edge</b> came out of the crowd, sliding in the ring and then hit a huge spear on Rob Van Dam before he could attack John Cena. Monday Night Raw's biggest enemies on this night became unlikely allies, and they stood tall, albeit both a bit untrusting of the other with great reason to be, but right now the bigger picture was ECW, and that's who the fight went to. Both men nodded to one another, almost agreeing for this night they needed to help each other and so the fight was on, Edge tossing the pipe to Cena, while Cena tossed the chair to Edge. Almost redemption from earlier in the night came as Edge cracked Sabu in the head as he was trying to stand. John Cena on the other hand lifted RVD up to his feet, dropping him with an F-U. After John reached down, picking up the ECW Championship but as he did that's when the ECW Extremists began to flood out into the arena. Edge alerted Cena of this, and the two escaped through the crowd while the Extremists stood tall with their fallen brothers. <b>Kurt Angle</b> seen screaming on the turnbuckle at the two Raw Superstars, "You son of a bitches! I'LL SEE YOUR ASSES MONDAY! TELL THAT PUNK ORTON HE'S MINE TOO.", and now the final shot we would see on ECW's return to television would be <b>Paul Heyman</b> kneeling down to a hurting Rob Van Dam, handing the fallen man his ECW Championship as the episode came to an end.</p><p>

<b>Friday Night Smackdown</p><p>

June 16, 2006</p><p>

Sovereign Bank Arena</p><p>

Trenton, New Jersey</b></p><p> </p><p>

The busy week in World Wrestling Entertainment looked to keep on going as Friday Night Smackdown came on the air. <b>King Booker's</b> music was the first to hit after the intro, and both he and his wife, <b>Queen Sharmell</b> made their way down to the ring. Upon entering the ring, Sharmell would grab both herself and Booker a microphone before she began to speak. "Hear ye! Hear ye! For I the Queen of Wrestling have decided to grace you all with my voice. Tonight, we shall be honored as our King, my King, King Booker speaks to us!", after the introduction, Queen Sharmell turned to face King Booker, all attention now on him. "Tonight! The Smackdown audience will bare witness to a true champion for once and for all! A champion you can all respect! A champion you can all love! A Royal Champion! For I, King Booker here by demand my World Heavyweight Championship match against the man who disrespected all of our honor at ECW One Night Stand, Rey Mysterio. For had it been I, King Booker, facing that mangled Sabu, I King Booker would have defeated him in the middle of this ring. Instead our so called champion, the man who carries the unrighteous gold, he did not defeat that ECW scum, instead he went to a no contest! A disgrace! I, King Booker, demand answers!", just as King Booker lowered the microphone, he turned to face the entrance stage as the music of Smackdown General Manager, <b>Theodore Long</b> hit. He walked out on stage, microphone already in hand and began to speak once his theme died down. "Now King Booker, let me holla' at you playa'. You know that you have a World Heavyweight Championship match coming your way, but it's not going to be tonight. You're getting that shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at The Great American Bash! However who you're going to be facing might not be clear right now, but before I get to that i'd like to ask our World Champion, Rey Mysterio to come on out here for a minute playa'.", the General Manager asked and he received, the music of the <b>World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio</b> hitting much to the enjoyment of the audience. Rey walked out on stage, championship over his shoulder and he shook the General Managers hand though he was a bit curious as to why he was out here. "Now Rey, I got all the respect in the world for you, but what King Booker is saying is true. You didn't walk out a winner at ECW One Night Stand, but you didn't walk out a loser either. So that's why i've decided tonight, right here on Smackdown, we're going to have ourselves a World Heavyweight Championship match! It'll be Rey Mysterio defending against the man who defeated you last week, Finlay!", just as Theodore said this, King Booker could be seen in the ring beyond annoyed, bothered by the fact he had to wait for his championship opportunity. However before the 2006 King of the Ring could say anything he was cut off by the music of <b>Finlay</b> who walked right out on stage. Not saying a single word, the irishmen got right into the face of Rey Mysterio and the two stared each other down before Theodore Long broke it up before blows came to be. "Now i'm not finished, and you two better keep it civil before your match at the end of the night, or i'm suspending both of you. As I was sayin' to King Booker, whoever wins the main event tonight will go on to The Great American Bash to defend their World Championship against King Booker. Now good luck, and I can't wait to see what happens in the main event, holla' holla' holla'.", Teddy Long proceeded to exit to the back, the last sight seen on the opening segment before we cut to the main event graphic was King Booker staring down both Finlay and Rey Mysterio from the ring.</p><p>

The <b>Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms</b> was set to compete here tonight against <b>Scotty 2 Hotty</b> in a non title match. Why let my pride step in and over take my brain? Because now? Now i'm feeling great, my knee doesn't hurt, so i'd gladly like to face Bobby Lashley, but it's a shame. The second match of Friday Night Smackdown followed the same theme as the first match, a champion or rather this case champions competing in a non title match. The <b>WWE Tag Team Champions Brian Kendrick & Paul London</b> were set to take on <b>Psicosis</b> and <b>Super Crazy</b>. This match had high flying written all over it, and that's exactly what these two teams did. Dives happening nearly every other minute or so, but the biggest gamechanging dive had to be the Tope Con Hilo that London hit on Psicosis to take him out. This allowed Brian Kendrick to hit the Sliced Bread #2 for the pinfall on Super Crazy.</p><p>

Once the previous match ended we were met with the music of <b>Matt Hardy</b>, and he came out with eyes of intent. Once he made it to the ring he grabbed a microphone, already dressed to compete but apparently has something on his chest. "The past year and a half of Matt Hardy hasn't been a good one, I can admit to that, but as I stand here right now I want to let each and everyone of you that it's time to change. No this isn't the return of the V-Oneahh! But what this is-is me saying tonight, I start a new. It's time for me to get back on track and i'm issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back.", as Matt said this he threw the microphone to the ring announcer before looking at the stage. His face changed to a look of horror as <b>Mark Henry's</b> music hit and the World's Strongest Man was on his way down to the ring. The reality of the situation began to sink in for Matt Hardy, and his chances of turning his career around at least tonight? Didn't seem too high.</p><p>

Swinging everything he had at Mark, even catching him with a big clothesline. However sadly for Matt, Mark didn't go down and this is when the Worlds Strongest Man took control. It wouldn't take long for a Worlds Strongest Slam to get hit and that would be all she wrote with Mark Henry picking up the win via pinfall.</p><p>

As the top of the hour came for this episode of Friday Night Smackdown the music of <b>Mr Kennedy</b> hit, and the loudmouth was on his way to the ring. Rather than giving his typical entrance introduction however, once he was in the ring he said, "Now that I have everybodies attention, and trust me you don't want to ignore what i'm about to say, let me first off get this out in the open. Tonight the United States Champion? Bobby Lashley? I'm going to expose his flaws, because each and every one of you think that he's unbeatable when he's not. <b>Bobby Lashley vs. Mr. Kennedy</b></p><p>

With a big opportunity opening up for <b>Mr. Kennedy</b> he can't not want to seize it and defeat the <b>United States Champion Bobby Lashley</b> here tonight in this non title match. That showed right away as Bobby Lashley slid in the ring, Kennedy rushed the man and used his microphone to dome the champion in the head before the bell sounded, making it perfectly fine. The shot dropped Bobby, and right from the start of the match Ken Kennedy used nothing but underhanded tactics. However still, Bobby was fighting back. Near the end of the match though Bobby's bronze would cost him as he charged Mr. Kennedy, however Kennedy dodge out of the way and instead Bobby speared the referee. Just as the ref went on dream street, out from the back came none other than <b>William Regal</b>. and in his hand was a pair of brass knuckles. Lashley had no clue Regal was on his way down to the ring, so as Kennedy countered an irish whip, he sent Bobby straight to the side of the ring that Regal was out. With a swift right hand to the back of the champions head, Regal knocked the man senseless with those brass knuckles. With the golden, or in this case bronze ticket being delivered to Mr. Kennedy he covered the downed Bobby Lashley and once the referee drove off of dream street the pinfall was made.</p><p>

Tonight he faced <b>Funaki</b> and that was nothing different, and the match barely lasted two minutes, Khali winning by submission as he used the vice grip.</p><p>

As <b>The Great Khali</b> rose his arms in the air, yelling out something untellable at the camera we suddenly heard a gong in the arena. The lights dimmed down and on the titantron we saw a message that read, "The battle you won, the war you lost. You will rest. in. peace.", just as the eerie message who we can only assume was from The Undertaker hit, Khali began to scream out "Come on Undertaker!", in broken english before we cut to the next segment.</p><p>

A video package began to play now, highlighting moments from <b>Batista's</b> career, from his days in Evolution all the way to the day he had to give up the World Heavyweight Championship. However the screen would flicker, and on screen we'd see text that read, "The Animal Is Back In Two Weeks!" and after this was seen the screen faded out.</p><p>

<b>World Heavyweight Championship</p><p>

Finlay vs. Rey Mysterio</b></p><p>

It was time for a match that could potentially change the landscape of Friday Night Smackdown as we know it. <b>Finlay</b> has the biggest opportunity of his WWE career as he is set to take on the <b>World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio</b> for the World Championship. What a fight this was as well, not even a match, just a nasty brawl for the most part. A clash of styles worked out for the best of ways, Finlay always trying to ground Rey Mysterio and go after his legs, meanwhile Rey would use his speed to his advantage. It truly was an interesting match up and at several points it looked like Finlay had the match won. Near the end of the match, Rey had Finlay on the middle rope but as the World Heavyweight Champion swung thru for the 619, Finlay caught his legs, pulling him off into a firemans carry position before hitting the Celtic Cross. Shockingly though, Rey managed to get his foot on the bottom rope, breaking the count. Finlay got even more aggressive after this, and that's what ended up costing him the match as he got caught with a hurricarana out of nowhere that led to a surprise three count, the champion retaining by pinfall.</p><p>

<b>Finlay</b> was absolutely irate that his big opportunity slipped through his hands like that, and he wasn't about to have the end of the match end there. <b>Rey Mysterio</b> was celebrating the championship being retained on the middle rope and that's when Finlay struck. Charging in before clubbing Rey in the back of the leg, completely dropping him to the canvas. As he hit the canvas, Finlay began to put boots to heads, repeatedly stomping the champion in the skull. It was at this time when <b>King Booker</b> walked out on stage wearing his suit, crown, and robe as he walked down to the ring. Entering it as Finlay picked an almost lifeless Rey Mysterio up to his feet. With a hard shove, Rey stumbled towards King Booker who scooped him into the air, dropping him with a Book End. Finlay then picked up the World Heavyweight Championship, looking at it for a moment before shaking his head as he handed it over to King Booker, and rose the 2006 King Of The Ring's hand into the air as if he'd just won the World Heavyweight Championship. The final image of Friday Night Smackdown was King Booker's boot pinning Rey's head to the mat, Finlay raising the King's arm high into the air while Booker's other arm raised the World Heavyweight Championship into the air as the show came to a close.</p><p>

In a shock to many, including CMLL officials, Mistico has officially been announced by World Wrestling Entertainment as to being signed. It's to our knowledge that Mistico did not have an exclusive contract with CMLL, and with the WWE's new third brand ECW needing new talent, this may very well be the biggest signing they could have made. Mistico is considered by many to be having his best year in professional wrestling right now, drawing unbelievable houses in CMLL. The question now is, how will this translate not only over to a North American promotion, but the Sports Entertainment style of the World Wrestling Entertainment. The rumor also has it that Mistico will be undergoing a name change before debuting, but that may just be speculation at this point.</div></p>
