52 year old Adrian Hurst is sitting in his home on a much needed vacation from CPW. Behind him is a case of all his major championships. He has the AWF World Heavyweight, the CWE Undisputed, and of course the CPW World Heavyweight Championships with the most recent center stage. He is one of the few if not only man to hold all three major titles in the biggest companies in America. He sips his drink before speaking and he had a huge smile on his face.

Hurst: Listen, when Danger arrived he had plans and ideas in his mind that I just so happened to be apart of. The kid turned CPW up on its ass and it was much welcomed and much needed. Until he came in, CPW was chugging the status quo and quite honestly if it weren't for him I may have never held the CPW World Heavyweight Championship because the Youngs had a firm grip on that belt. As far as I'm concerned, Danger made me appreciate any opportunity I was given. He was one of the reason's I decided to start teaching some of the youngsters a thing or thousand about working not only the match but the crowd. At 51 years old I am more popular now than I've ever been in my younger days, and that's simply a testament to Heyman's skills as a booker. When people call a 51 year old Adrian Hurst the second most popular wrestler in the united states and consider a match between myself and Rich Platinum at this stage in my career a dream match.......you gotta wonder how in the hell is that even possible.

Rick Holden, Owner of CPW appears on screen obviously in his office located at CPW Headquarters. He runs his fingers through his hair a few times until it feels just right before flashing a wide grin at the camera.

Rick Holden: When I brought in Heyman I must admit myself along with a few others were strong opposing forces. However he had an amazing ability to get you to buy what he was selling. He pointed out the fact that everyone of our top stars were either pushing 40 or past it. True they could all still go in the ring, but the question was for how long. Heyman was always looking towards the future and not the right now like everyone else. Hell Heyman is the reason we went on a sort of youth movement if ya will. Although slow, it picked up steam and pretty soon even the old guard had to take notice of the changing pace of CPW.

Singer: It's no secret that as far as main event guys I was low on the totem pole. People always said I was riding the coattails of the more established guys in Chris and Rick who was the champ at the time. I'm not gonna lie I hated that because I felt that I was pulling my own weight. It wasn't until Heyman arrived that I realized that I wasn't nearly as over as I believed myself to be and that the fans really didn't see me as a main event guy. Heyman looked at me and saw something in this 38yr old and it wasn't long until I was truly a top name in not only CPW, but the united states as a whole.

Chris Pressler: Danger, what can I say? I was an asshole to the guy and even still he worked with me. Even after I sabotaged more than my fair share of shit, he never gave up on me. I am the most hated heel in the company and that's saying something when I'm not even the focus half the damn time. It's starting to get to the point to where I'm so hated I'm loved haha. I don't know how he does it, but all the boys thought he was gonna try and job us out which wouldn't work anyway because most of us had creative control. We couldn't have been further from reality in his plans. The first show was ok I guess. It was pretty much the same shit we'd always done, but it wasn't until after Thunderstruck when business started to pick up. That's when we all realized just how much we needed something new and different.

I remember when I first got the news that I'd be feuding with Adrian Hurst. I had just came out of a feud with my brother and I thought I was red hot at the time. Only to have Danger come in and hit me in the face with reality. He didn't get in my face or yell at me or anything. He came at me with logic and numbers. I remember telling him I'm the hottest thing in CPW and he laughed right in my face and it really got under my skin. He told me that the hottest thing in CPW was Adrian Hurst and I then started to laugh at him. Then he laid down a piece of paper and said they were ratings of the tv show we had. Sad to say, anytime Adrian Hurst was on TV there was a spike in the rating, but everyone else paled in comparison including the current CPW champion at the time which was myself. That one sheet of paper proved to me that I wasn't who I thought I was and that a feud with Adrian was the logical way to go.

I remember when I was set to feud for the title against Rick Young. The boys weren't too happy about that. They all thought I was this old washed up veteran who should be eating the pin whenever I was in a match with them. Once again Danger had other plans for me AND them. I remember the first promo between Rick and me and it wasn't anything special at all, but it served its purpose in getting the wheels turning.

The CPW World Heavyweight Champion Rick Young makes his way to the ring to a chorus of boos. He grabs a microphone from ringside and holds a stiff smirk on his face before addressing the fans in attendance.

Rick: Well, well, well it seems you all are filled with even more envy than usual. Lemme guess, you all are disappointed that my brother couldn’t get the job done and dethrone the greatest CPW World Heavyweight Champion of all time right? That’s just too bad, because I have no intentions of relinquishing nor losing my title. I have beaten everyone there is to beat and the one man you all thought could beat me was my own damn brother, and he FAAAIIILLLED. I am gonna hold this belt for a very long time, and there ain’t no-

Living On A Prayer by Bon Jovi blares through the arena of 3700. The crowd in attendance are on their feet as “The Living Legend” Adrian Hurst appears on stage with mic in hand.

Adrian: Did I hear you correctly? Did you say you’ve beaten everyone? Last I checked your ass been ducking and dodging me since I got here in CPW. Now that you have beaten everybody but me it’s only right that I be the one to face you for the championship on your shoulder right now.

Rick: Hahaha, you are nothing more than a washed up has-been. Your prime ended what a hundred years ago and you honestly think that your a threat? Are you kidding me?

Adrian: Hey if that’s truly the case then you have nothing to fear from a fifty year old man now do ya. Then again you aren’t exactly a spring chicken yourself. Either put up or shut up but either way I’m taking that title off of your pompous ass.(Crowd Pops)

Rick: You want a shot? Tell you what if you can defeat Mike Young later on tonight then you will get your shot. Even if you win you’d have to ask yourself if you can even make it to Thunderstruck. The Inner Circle has their sights set dead on you and I promise you won’t even make it to the PPV.

A one on one match to determine who would face the CPW World Heavyweight Champion at CPW Thunderstruck. Hmph, Mike Young vs Adrian Hurst was the main event that night in Jersey. The match was terrible considering who was involved. Hell all the big boys were pissed off about how that match went down and everyone pointed fingers at Adrian. Well everyone except Heyman of course. Heyman had walked right up to me and asked me why. I pretended like I didn't know what the hell he was talking about, but he asked again why. I wouldn't answer him and I would end up paying for it in the long run despite my creative control.

http://i1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj574/devinhennington/CPW%20%20L-Verse/Adrian%20Hurst_zpst3jx7ucv.jpg

I remember that match. All the main event players at the time were pissed that the main event was so poorly executed. They all blamed me and even said that match was proof I have no business being in the ring or even in a premier feud for the strap. The only man in my corner was Danger because anyone looking at that match with unbiased eyes could see what was going on. I'm not one to hold grudges so I won't dig up things from the past. I will say that Danger made sure that Mike and everyone in the back knew that business came first before anything. That night was one of the worst matches I ever had, but it was also the wake up call for all the guys at the top.

The two men stare each other eye to eye as the crowd rumbles as the two fan favorites are about to wage war. It wouldn’t take long before the two would begin to trade blows, but it appeared as if Mike Young was unaffected by the punches of Adrian Hurst. Hurst would land a body slam and Mike would get up, Hurst would clothesline him and Mike would get up, and anything Hurst did was met with a no sell or Mike wouldn’t sell enough. However, when Mike was on the offensive Adrian did everything he could to make Mike look like a million bucks, but by this time it was far too late as the fans just weren’t that into it. Mike Young would take to the top rope and dive off with a leg drop, but Hurst would roll out of the way. Once up Hurst would plant young with a Crystal Skull Driver and it appeared as if he was forcefully getting the three by putting all his might into the pin. Adrian would roll out of the ring as he and Mike stare at each other. Hurst is obviously pissed while Mike seems to have enjoyed this lackluster showing on his part. Hurst would win only to be assaulted by The Inner Circle and a new member in Tex Giddens who was the highlight of the assault as he powerbombed Hurst on the ramp.

That match was the beginning of a long lesson for anyone who didn’t want to conduct business the right way. Everyone assumed that we were untouchable because of our creative control only to find out that when we all resigned that there was a fine print no one cared to read. Heyman had convinced Holden to add a protective clause they called it. If anyone was deemed unwilling to due business their creative control would become null an void. It’s a contract clause that Heyman pioneered and it’s a clause that till this day only CPW has the balls to place in a contracts offered to big names who demanded creative control. Most of the other promotions are too afraid for fear of a people not resigning and going elsewhere, but Heyman had a knack for building talent and Tex Giddens was huge proof of that. That ability to build new stars was why if anyone left CPW because of the CPW protective clause that the company could still thrive without them. Needless to say, after that night....2015 was not my year.

http://i1268.photobucket.com/albums/jj574/devinhennington/CPW%20%20L-Verse/Adrian%20Hurst_zpst3jx7ucv.jpg

The CPW Protective Clause was innovative and kept us from signing huge names on numerous occasions, but in all honesty the people weren’t even needed. I can give you one reason why anyone who couldn’t accept the clause wasn’t hurting, but helping CPW....Tex “Bad Ass” Giddens. This kid came into the company that year and had huge support behind him in the form of Danger and Holden. The old guard didn’t like the fact that some 21 year old kid was going to be placed in the main event and taking “their” spot. Heyman put the kid in the Inner Circle and it was the smartest move he could make in order to promise the kid would succeed. However, I was the centerpiece to the rise of Tex and the rise of CPW as a whole. It felt damn good too.
