I was curious if anyone has messed with Custom Merchandise? I have not and currently am operating a a regional company in Thunderverse (Ring of Destiny), in Australia. I'm wondering if I should try my hand at it. How do you know what lvl to put each guy at and which items to choose? (shirt, hat, foam fingers etc.) does anyone mess with this? Any tips? Thanks!

I tried it once at national but it seemed like too many clicks and then 80% of the time I hadn't put enough merch items up for wrestlers or I had distributed too much so I just gave up. But I'd like to try it again if anyone had any insight on how it works.

I run a global sized company and have been running custom merchandise since it was Cult.

I put ALL maineventers with very high and give them each of the items listed. Baby face main eventers for me always have a fantastic rating while heels always have average.

Upper midcards get the same treatment but at High level instead.

Certain babyface midcarders who I plan on pushing soon will be added at Medium.

I make 1 and 1/3 of what I would under the non custom settings. Tried it for one month at international level and it was less than my own.

Only issue is if you fire or release someone. You will continue to pay to make their merch but won't make any money on it.

<p>Very high with everything ticked for main eventers does the trick. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

I am international size though, so idk if that helps you much.</p><p> </p><p>

It appears me and the guy above are on the same page. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

ahhh very helpful! Thanks. So you both have had more success and made more money doing it like this custom than doing auto? That's great news. I may wait until I hit Cult status like you, but I may try my hand at it right now as well, seems fun.

Do you get a breakdown each month or week? and if so whats in the breakdown?

For example, lets say Johnny Ace is my Main Event heel. I make him Very High and check everything. Will it say, he sold 100 foam fingers, 256 T-Shirts, 50 posters, etc. so I know which stuff to unclick if I want? or does it just say he did $_____ this month?

Thanks for replies though, they help a lot!

<p>I went through and did thorough testing back in TEW 2013. The point of custom merch is to control product output so that people who don't sell as much aren't getting as much product made.</p><p> </p><p>

On Cult/National</p><p>

Babyface Pop 78 or more = Very High</p><p>

Babyface Pop 65- about 78 = Medium/High depending on certain factors</p><p>

Babyface Pop 50 - 65 = Low (could be medium for certain workers)</p><p>

Babyface Pop less than 50 = Very Low to none</p><p>

Heel Pop about 72 or more = Medium</p><p>

Heel Pop 60-72 = Low to Medium</p><p>

Heel Pop 50-60 = Low to Very Low</p><p>

Heel lower than 50 = Very Low to None</p><p> </p><p>

Personalities can work similar to the above system.</p><p>

Managers, Authority Figures, Refs are a bit less.</p><p> </p><p>

It's easy to check though. Look at how their merch is selling after a week or so. If its Fantastic should be set to Very High. Good should be set to High. Average should be set to Medium. Weak should be set to Low. Awful can be set to Very Low or no merch at all.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't have the game in front of me and wrote this from memory so my numbers may be slightly off.</p>

I have always wanted to mess about with this, I know I can beat the default, I just don't know how much by, and is it worth the effort?? Just looked at my game, on average, doing nothing I triple my money, usually spending around 35, to make 100.. How much more am I looking at??

I also have to think that the economy would affect sales, so it would stand to reason that in a high economy, you should bang out more, and sell more, and in a low economy, you may as well not make any, as people will be too skint to buy it..

Even if Adam tweaked some of the numbers for TEW 2016 or your memory is off a bit, this gives a very nice basic guideline! Much appreciated. It makes a whole lot more sense now looking at it like this and the way you explained it.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Kijar" data-cite="Kijar" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42789" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Ah, I now see the babyface/heel debate, and just to clear up confusion, I should note that the company I'm running doesn't use faces or heels, that's why all my main eventers bring in the same amount. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Ahh good eye on the Heel/Face note. Didnt think about your company not having a heel/face divide! So for companies that do (like mine currently) it makes so much more sense to do it like he said above! ahhh is all coming together! getting excited to possibly make more money! (or run my company into the ground tring!! lol)</p>

Wow you got alot of great answers. I have had success with custom merch. The problem is always the same. When you get to national or higher. Money becomes just a high score. So just in time seems to work just fine. You can book a event for far more money and less real time. When I hit international level. Events were easily bringing in over a million. You could book it far quicker than micromanaging your t-shirts. When I found just in time does very close. Unless you really spend alot of time tweeking it over and over again. It is your game so I was just offering you my advice. So in short I don't see the point after cult doing it. Since money is easy come and just sits there. Happy tew playing
