European wrestling scene; The next months of EWA - Chronicle;

-- The wrestling market in Europe couldn't be getting more consistent as we head into 2016. A new promotion has opened doors under the name of World Honor Wrestling but not much is known about them, they have their base in Portugal.

-- On the Central Europe, VWA is setting their sights onto a big year of growth or at least they so expect. Also in Iberia we have UEW with their traditional wrestling style owned by the respected Ali Bloxsome. And this week's focus on europeanuppercut.com European Wrestling All-Stars. The biggest and most suceeded company in Europe after UCR closing.

-- European Wrestling All-Stars was founded in July 2007. They use a sports enterteinment model that his very similar to the SWF style in the United States, they quickly became popular under Byron's guidance in the last 9 years.

-- Although we are in January 2016 now and the top wrestling promotion in Europe has a lot of responsibility in maintining that status. They can start growing even more with the correct booking with a lot of wrestlers in their roster capable of deliviring a decent match. Byron said that he will focus even more on the storylines. And what sometimes can seem boring in long storylines can actually be very enjoyable in the long run. Let's see what he has in mind.

-- In a recent interview he also said that he's looking to put EWA deliviring shows on a weekly basis even if he doesn't have TV support. It's time to really invest. Go big or go home. Just tune in on the next EWA show with the preview covered by europeanuppercut.com once it is announced.

Based in Berlin the promotion is crossing border and visiting a lot of Europe in the recent past. At the moment their 3 top guys consist of:

"Byron, who used to work under the name Jay Heartbreak, is a decent but unspectacular worker who is best known nowadays as the owner of EWA. He found most of his early success with UCR in Europe, where he developed over the years from steady midcarder to three time world champion and one of the company's best heels. When UCR closed in 2007 and created a power void, it was Byron who led the faction of workers who wanted to take the promotion back to its sports entertainment roots. The split ultimately led to Byron creating European Wrestling All-Stars and taking a good portion of his former UCR colleagues with him. In recent years his ego seems to have swelled to enormous proportions and he is perpetually either the EWA champion or challenging for the title."

"'Jed High' Jason "Jase" Cole is an Australian high flier who has made a name for himself for his work in the European promotions UCR and EWA. A tag team specialist, up until 2009 he worked a sci-fi gimmick under the name Jed High, teaming with Christopher "Toby Juan Kanobi" Lister as The Force. An excellent team, they have had many memorable battles with Double Dutch in both promotions. Feeling that the gimmick had run its course, Cole and Lister dropped the plastic light sabers and started working under their real names, albeit under the tag name "The X Force". In reality, Cole is married to Simona Cox, who is his on-screen manager."

"Bam Bam Johansson is a menacing powerhouse from Norway. The massively muscled fighter is strength personified and uses that to his advantage in the ring, simply bulldozing his way through the competition. He joined UCR in mid 2006 and fitted in well, and was one half of the company's final tag team champions when it closed in 2007. He would then head to the EWA promotion where he was joined in 2010 by his brother, Hercules Johansson, with whom he has since formed a pretty good tag team."

"The Norwegian strong man Stig "Hercules" Johansson is the younger brother of Bam Bam Johansson. Like his sibling, he is a big, menacing, ultra-powerful competitor who can throw most opponents around like rag dolls. Unlike his brother though, he was not self-taught and instead went through a wrestling school. As a result he has some decent basic skills at his disposal to compliment his feats of strength. He joined his brother in the EWA at the start of 2010 and they have gone on to form a powerhouse sibling tag team that has proved very successful."

""The X Factor" Petey Barnes is a talented high flier who is memorable for his prematurely whitened hair. His first taste of fame came in late 2005 when he started teaming regularly with Adam Matravers as The Show Stealers on the UK circuit. He clearly learnt a lot from his new partner, but the duo was destined to be short-lived as when 21CW got a big makeover in 2006 they signed up Matravers to be one of their singles stars but didn't pursue Barnes. Working for ROF, Barnes went on to form another good team, this time with Eric Future, and they were two time champions by the time the promotion closed. The duo headed to Europe shortly after and have been with EWA since the summer of 2011."

""The Man Of Tomorrow" Eric Future is a high flier from Birmingham. The sudden emergence of 21CW as a national power in 2006 turned out to be an indirect benefit for Eric; their talent raids on the other UK promotions left ROF with a massively depleted roster and so they hired young independent workers to fill the gaps. Eric was one of those brought in and he went on to become one of their most solid talents, particularly thanks to his "Future X" tag team with Petey Barnes. ROF's demise in 2010 saw Future out of work for a short time but he soon returned to action, this time with the EWA promotion, again alongside Barnes."

- The Future will face the always relaxed, party, champagne and caviar-lover, Kalvin Addams. But if Addams will be relaxed is uncertain. He's facing half of the tag team champions and an upset would be great for him and his partner, but Future always has something in his pocket... He lives in tomorrow... I mean... In the first weekly show of the company we will see the arrogant superstars taking on the loved ones or so they claim. This should be a good start.

The recent EWA Womens Champion, Zofia Jankovic will try to dfend her title for the second time against the ex-champion Karen Bilous. A tough challenge, will the resilience still stand for Jankovic? The Black Widow never quits and she's a though b*tch to beat, but Bilous is menacing... A big, big threat and she loves to walk around with a belt around the waist.

Now that they're set on a quest to get rid of the evil force on EWA getting positive energy is very importante for their willpower. Is said that Jase Cole is leading a movement against the evil force... But for that he has to take the arrogant bastard who can fly all over the ring if you aren't focus for a single second, Petey Barnes. In a very interesting match-up things look promising.

Byron has set his goal for 2016. Lead the promotion into Glory that's the answer to the name given to the events, and to undergo the path of glory he has to be the top face of the company, the top hero, the champion, the divine, the Heart Breaker! BYRON! Well... But Johansson Brothers aren't quite easy to beat. In order to face the actual champion Stig "Hercules" Johansson, Byron has to beat his big heavyweight brother Bam Bam Johansson. Will the EWA owner have what it takes in Italy?

Even if the Italien Pride doesn't defend the Intercontinental title, Robert Milano former known as Roberto will have a shot at the EWA Universal title on his debut. The Italien wrestler was picked for this show and his popularity on Italy will make him a babyface for this match-up against the evil, menancing, despised Hercules Johansson who has the belt for about 3 months after defeating Jase Cole.

PS: Predictions are welcomed.
