Game save fails, save file deleted

Running the latest version on Windows 10

 

I've found that if, after a weekly sim, you open a game box score, and then either try and save with the box score open, or close and immediately save, the game will throw the error: "There was an error in saving your game. Make sure you don't have two instances of BBCF running (Check the task manager)"

 

The game then locks up and will not save, and the previous save game is deleted.

 

I'm able to reproduce this consistently.

Make sure you run the game in administrator mode. You can either right-click the shortcut and click "run as administrator" or right-click the shortcut, choose properties, click the capability tab, check the "Run this program as an administrator" and then click apply. From that point on, it will start in Admin mode.
