In January of 2017 the Canadian broadcasting and production company, Anthem Sports, announced that they would be purchasing majority control of TNA Impact Wrestling and that Dixie Carter would be stepping down as Chairwoman. Anthem announced the creation of Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, LLC as TNA's new parent company, which was formed after Anthem's purchase.

 

The decision was made to completely eliminate the TNA name and the company is now simply referred to as IMPACT WRESTLING. With Dixie Carter out there was an opening for a new authority figure to step in and run day-to-day operations. The man that was chosen for this job is a man that co-founded the company that we now know as Impact Wrestling. He is a former 6-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion... JEFF JARRETT!

 

Jarrett was brought in due to his extensive knowledge and brain for the business of pro wrestling. It is the hope of Anthem Sports that Jeff Jarrett will be able to turn Impact Wrestling around with the help of current and future talent. The ultimate question is this - will Jeff Jarrett be able to do what needs to be done in order to turn things around and MAKE IMPACT WRESTLING GREAT???
