{Earlier in the week.}

{A hotel room, there are pieces of paper, folders, notepads and magazines strewn across the room. A door opens off to the side, Herb Abrams walks in to the room and he looks a bit worse for wear.}

Herb: "Craig! What the...why...WHO'S WITH YOU?"

Craig: "Nobody is with m..."

{The door to the side opens again, Mark Rocco and Les Thatcher come in to the room.}

Craig: "I feel like I'm missing a party here. Erm, why are you guys in New York?"

Herb: "A lot of questions Craig, an AWFUL LOT of questions."

Craig: "You asked me a question first!"

Herb: "CRAIG, it doesn't fu...just get to the point would you?"

Mark: "We're busy guys here Craig, come on pal."

Craig: "Okay okay, sorry. I was just coming up to check the arrangements for the flights."

{Mark, Les and Herb are just looking at Craig.}

All Three: "Flights?"

Craig: "Yes, we're off to England aren't. That's why you told us to come here, myself and Bruno that is...Bruno's caught up downstairs. We're holding Fury Hour in England are we not?"

Herb: "NO, no we're not!"

Craig: "But Mark...Rick..."

Mark: "Rick will be fine son, just fine. I'll speak to Mark, he can have his Tour in July. Anything else?"

Craig: "Why am I in New York and what has happened to the room?"

Les: "We're here for the week."

Craig: "THE WEEK???"

Mark: "Well, Wednesday through until Sunday night. Fury Hour on Wednesday and then a ba..."

Herb: "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, quiet Mark...he literally doesn't need to know."

Craig: "Know what? Herb? Come on, know what? What can I possibly not need to know?"

{Herb, Mark and Les look at each other, Les nods and Mark looks to the ceiling before nodding.}

Herb: "The mess you see, we've been in here planning since Friday last week. Well, THEY HAVE...I've been err..."

Les: "We're holding a series of tapings."

Craig: "Tapings...what are they?"

{Herb, Les and Mark look at each other and burst out laughing.}

Craig: "What? Am I missing something?"

Mark: "No, no, nevermind...you'd never get it. Unlike Herb of course who was getting it all weekend whilst Les and I pieced this together."

Herb: "That's not important. What is important Craig is that the UWF will hold three evenings of tapings for video release. You can announce it on the FURY HOUR!!! You can also announce the exciting new exclusive announce team for the tapings."

Craig: "New announce team? Exclusive...you mean I'm not..."

Herb: "No, no you're not. You can't name anyone though, but I'LL GIVE YOU A PEAK! Go on, go through next door...it's perfectly safe."

{Craig walks through to the room next door and comes back a minute later.}

Craig: "That's..."

Herb: "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, keep your voice down. Thin walls in here, even if it does cost an arm and a leg. Yes it is Craig, it most certainly is who you think it is."

Craig: "Wow Herb, I won't tell a soul!"

Herb: "Good...now, if you don't mind..."

Craig: "Oh, yes of course. See you all later."

{Craig leaves the room and you he exits to find Bruno just arriving at the room.}

Craig: "Come on Bruno, I need a drink."

Bruno: "When are the flights?"

Craig: "There are no flights, there are tapings though."

Bruno: "Tapings?"

Craig: "I'll explain in the bar."

Craig, you look like you may just know what's going on? Where's Herb, where is that lying sa..." Bruno: "Rick, Rick, you need to calm down." Rick: "Bruno, I have all the respect in the world for you. But, at this moment, it doesn't really matter. WHERE IS HERB?" Craig: "Come on Rick, look why not let us get on with..." Rick: "With what...the show, an announcement? Oh, that's it isn't it. You've got some sort of announcement to make! Well, how's about this for an announcement..." {Rick looks dead straight in to the camera.} Rick: "...ready! CHANGE THE CHANNEL! Yeah, go on, because your NWA World Heavyweight Champion isn't going to be on the..." (B) {An advert plays for When Foes Collide.} "The UWF returns to Pay Per View IN AUGUST, WHEN FOES COLLIDE. See all the UWF stars, watch the ultimate in sports entertainment!" (E-) {We return to the announce team, Rick has left and they look a bit flustered.} Bruno: "That was a gusty move Craig, telling Rick where to find Herb." Craig: "It might just my last move too, only time will tell. For now though, we have a huge announcement folks that we'll be bringing to you after our first match." Bruno: "So, definitely do not change the channel." © <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43492" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">UWF European Championship Dave Finaly defeated Rambo (D-)</div></div></blockquote> {We're back with the announcers.} Bruno: "Woah, sometimes it is just not your night. Rambo taken to pieces there." Craig: "He certainly was Bruno, no luck there. But, all our UWF fans are going to think themselves very lucky. The UWF are hosting a series of tapings this week and weekend, here in New York, for future release on video." Bruno: "Wow Craig, I can not wait to be involved in all of that great action." Craig: "Well, Bruno, you may need to. There is going to be an exclusive commentary team for these tapings." Bruno: "Ah, oh I'm sure I can get involved in some way." Craig: "I'm sure you could do, but for now it's time for our next match." © {Rick Martel is already in the ring, but there's a bit of confusion.} Bruno: "This isn't great for the UWF. Craig: "Hold on Bruno, I believe something has happened in the locker room area." {We cut to the locker room, various wrestlers are laid out. The camera pans in and we see a note with KOTJ written on it before returning to the in-ring action.} Craig: "KOTJ Bruno, any ideas?" I didnt even know anything about this company until I started reading this. Fast forward an hour later, and im learning all kinds of crazy things on youtube about the company in general. It had so much potential (Which is what you're showing here). Im loving the Rude push btw</div></blockquote> Yeah, there's a hell of a lot on youtube. Especially most episodes of the Fury Hour. There's an absolute car crash of a TV taping on there, which I've not watched yet.

(E) {Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat are in the ring.} Dan: "As I look out from this UWF ring, I see...wait...is that... {The camera pans to show Dennis Condrey sitting at ringside.} Dan: "...wow, it seems everyone wants to see us Doug. Enjoy your seat Dennis and watch on. As I was saying, I see the tag teams of the UWF lining up for a shot at our titles. So, as we're all about competition, we're putting these belts up tonight against the last UWF team to have won a match." (E+) NWA World Tag Team Championship Billy Anderson & Riki Ataki defeated Doug Furnas and Dan Kroffat [What is possibly the biggest shock in UWF history so far started out as a very one sided bout. Ataki was kept in the corner and Anderson struggled to get in to the match. The initial signs of cockyness were there, as Anderson was invited in and turned things around briefly. Ataki would come back in, worse for wear, and was worked over. Furnas would race across and knock Anderson from the opposite corner and follow him out. "Just finish it" was heard from the crowd, with Kroffat responding with "When we're ready" as he looked out towards Condrey and was shockingly rolled up by Ataki.] (D+) {We go to the announcers.} Tony: "I know I may say this a lot folks, but that was one of the most amazing moments of our sport. The NWA Tag Team Championships changing hands. Now Bruno, I'd like to...wait, hang on...let's go to the back." {Herb Abrams has just come out one of the locker rooms, Rick Rude and Missy Hyatt are standing waiting for him.} Herb: "Is THIS you?" {Herb holds up a KOTJ card.} Rick: "NO, that's not bloody me! {Mark Rocco, Ricky Morton & Les Thatcher are in the UWF offices and watching some tape.}

Mark: "So, do we know who he is?"

Les: "He appears in the mask, we can't ask him to remove it."

Ricky: "So, we're sure it's one gu..."

{Herb comes in to the room.}

Herb: Guys, don't let me interrupt you. I'm just grabbing some mail..."

Mark: "You can't really be sure, it's possible."

Les: "Bigger issue for me is night two in the Casino."

Ricky: "It wasn't great, but..."

Mark: "It was the tag matches that let us down. You control that Ricky, what do you think?"

Ricky: "Well, throwing guys together can be an issue. Wolfe and Durham..."

Herb: "Durham, that the fat kid? Did we use him?"

Mark: "Any interesting mail there Herb?"

Herb: "Not erm, wait, who's that?"

Les: "Honaga, he's over on loan from Japan. Mark sorted it all out."

Herb: "Right, okay, does that mean we've enough Japanese guys for a team at...hang on...what..."

Mark: "We do, it could be a junior..."

Herb: "Shhhh...hmmmm, venues...August...Tour...are they sure? National vehicle...title defences...disappointment...blah blah...no financial assistance...good for both parties."

Les: "What's this Herb?"

Herb: "Ricky, get on the phone will you. Take this sheet, phone the first three numbers, check the info on there is correct and then come back to us."

{Ricky left the room at this point.}

Herb: "So, what are we watching anyway?"

Mark: "It's last weeks Atlantic Coast Wrestling. We've been going over the past few shows and getting back to Larry."

Les: "It's starting to shape up, not perfect though by any means."

Herb: "Not perfect?"

Mark: "No, the boys are butting heads a little and that's showing itself on the shows."

Herb: "Right, right, erm the Atlantic guys do realise UWF own and run the show don't they. It's for them to prove themselves, they could be getting their groceries in on a Saturday if it wasn't for us."

Les: "It'll be fine, we were talking about other things if I'm honest."

Herb: "Uhu, such as?"

Mark: "The Casino nights, they're not really pushing us to that next level. Plus, we're struggling without Rick."

Herb: "Sort it then, you've both been in my ear enough."

{Ricky Morton comes back in the room.}

Ricky: "It's all correct Herb, we just need to confirm."

Les: "Confirm what?"

Herb: "The NWA want a Tour, same sort of idea as The Great American Bash. Apparently we're to get the NWA more national coverage, the belts should be more visible etc."

Mark: "Might help, especially if we televise some of it."

Les: "I'll call our contact at SportsChannel America, see what they can do on Saturdays. When would we start?"

Herb: "The Monday after When Foes Collide, so we've plenty of time to get it sorted out. YOU KNOW...WE CAN DO THIS. We'll call it The Fall Assault, it's going to be amazing! Okay, see you all on Wednesday."

Les: "No Rick for most of the Tour, I think we're all going to have to get on the phone."

Final one so far, first I'm seeing of it, is a Japan versus North America match." Herb: "Yes and we should also see the likes of Tito Santana and Rick Martel involved somehow. But now, it's time for the major news Craig." Craig: "Well, let's not keep the people waiting any longer." Herb: "Okay, in the month of August the UWF will have a Tour. But, NOT ANY TOUR. The FALL ASSAULT TOUR will see us take the UWF product along the Atlantic Coast and in to the South, with the Fury Hour being held in various locations. We hope to bring news of how you can watch all that great action VERY SOON!" Craig: "That is indeed major news, which you can keep up with updates on via the UWF Powerline." (C-) Match #4 Greg Valentine defeats Jim Brunzell [strange finish to this one, as the American national anthem played briefly and was followed by the sound of an explosion. That allowed Valentine to take Brunzell down and apply the figure four.] (C-) {As Brunzell is arguing with the Referee, Rick Rude and Missy Hyatt make their way to the announce area. Rick smirks towards Brunzell as he goes past.} Tony: "Well folks, you'll recall at the top of the hour Herb told us Rick had something to tell everyone." Rick: "Yes Tony...ooh, fffffft...news indeed." Tony: "Are you okay? How are you feeling?" {Rick slaps the headset off of Tony's head.} Rick: "Missy, sit Tony down and give him some water. I'm not one hundred percent Tony, but I'm getting there. I had my surgery and the doctors say I'll be ready in time for Fall Assault!" Tony: "So, so...but...you'll miss When Foes Collide." Rick: "That's true Tony, because that occurs before Fall Assault. Bruno...seriously..." Bruno: "Okay Rick, it's good to have you at ringside when you've been err scouting. Mark, wh..." Sid: "Herb, I've been waiting for you man!" Bob: "Sid, don't make it any worse. Come on, you've made your..." Sid: "What are you playing at? I select someone for my team, you fire him! I'm going to leave Orndorff unable to pick anyone else!" Herb: "Bob? You brought the guy in here." Bob: "I know, I tried to explain you didn't know he'd selected Storm." Herb: "Sid, I DON'T CARE who you select for When Foes Collide. But I can't have you attacking two..." Bob: "Erm..." {Tito Santana appears and goes to push past Bob Orton Jnr.} Tito: "Three Herb, he attacked Chaz Taylor in the locker room." Herb: "THREE. Right, Sid, it's you versus Tito tonight so get out of my sight until later on. Bob, watch your friend there ACE or I'll fire him and you." Bob: "What? Gosh darn, I suppose I'd better be on his team for the Pay Per View then." Herb: "Whatever! I need a lie down." © Match #2 Rick Martel defeats Les Thornton [A relatively decent match, Les showing that he is still a decent hand even in his late fifties. Martel though took the victory and showed the WWF what they're missing having barely used him since Wrestlemania.] (C+) {Rick Martel is standing in the ring and asks to be handed in a microphone.} Tony: "I wonder what Rick has on his mind Bruno, the NWA World Heavyweight title can't be far away." Bruno: "No Tony, it can't be far away and err you know what it shouldn't be far away from the mind of every UW...oh my!} {Just as Rick is about to start talking, the Power Twins come in to the rind and take him down. Both twins hold Martel down as Missy Hyatt, unusually wearing gloves, enters the ring holding a bucket. She grabs a microphone and stands over Martel.} Missy: "You, of everyone in this company, should know all about looking good and how annoying it is to be made to look a fool. You think you're funny... Tony: "I believe this has to be about the events on Monday night at the Casino Nights event. Sadly, we can't bring you any footage. But, let me just say Bruno, wet t-shirt!" Bruno: "Ohhhhhhhh wow Tony, I don't err think I need to say much more on that." Missy: "...laugh, go on, laugh in my face now! Don doesn't look exactly happy and walks out.} Lou: "Wow, I'm assuming these two men are your team mates for the match against the AAL! This will be the end of the AAL, DeBeers your racist rubbish is going to come to a swift end. Sammartino's team has a sting to it." Brunzell: "Ha ha Lou, you're crazy right enough. I've been battling Koloff since January, we've not been able to get any sort of a run. All we want to do is put that to an end, the DeBeers thing will sort itself out. Our fourth man will make sure of that..." Lou: "Fourth man! There's a four man! Who is it? You have to tell Lou." David: "Calm down Lou, everyone will find out when the time is right." (C-) Match #3 Cactus Jack & The Samoan Savage defeated Dan Kroffat & Doug Furnas [Jack & Savage took Kroffat & Furnas all the way in this one, using the outside of the ring as their personal playground. This took Kroffat & Furnas out of their comfort zone slightly. Although they would display all their usual quality inside the ring, they just couldn't cope with the ferocity shown by Jack & The Savage.] (C+) {We return from an ad break to the UWF Event Center.} Craig: "Good evening everyone, another Fury Hour of course giving us all some fine UWF action. But, we have Rumble in the Apple just around the corner, When Foes Collide to look forward to and also the Fall Assault Tour coming up. Herb, the action just could not get better or hotter!" Herb: "No Craig, it couldn't get more UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULTIMATE! Yes, the ultimate in sports entertainment is bringing you it all. We've signed a deal with Mizlou Sports to bring the Fall Assault Tour to television screens across America. SportsChannel America have also committed to showing the Friday night events through the Tour, with next month's Rumble in the Apple being part of that. Of course, THE FURY HOUR will come from around the country on the tour." Craig: "What about this weeks Rumble in the Apple?" Herb: "Well, firstly sorry to Bruno as I know HOW MUCH he loves to talk about New York. But, we will crown a new pair of NWA World Tag Team Champions. Attend or tune in to see who is in the mix!" Craig: "Finally, When Foes Collide. We've already seen that Bob Orton Jnr is in with Sid, Chris Adams has confirmed that he'll team with Kevin Von Erich and Masked Confusion have joined David Sammartino." Herb: "Yes Craig, plenty of movement as the wrestlers of THE UWF look to be involed. Why wouldn't they, NO REASON! Now though, I'd like to invite in this man..." {Paul Orndorff comes in to the shot, shakes hands with both men and sets himself.} Herb: "Hello Paul, WELCOME BACK from injury. Your chance to get your hands on Sid, you have THE SUPERFLY in there with you. Who else do you have? Come one, give me A NAME!" Paul: "Well, Herb, this may shock you. I've actually selected Chief Jay Strongbow Jnr for..." Herb: "REALLY! He's had THREE matches since January Paul, why would..." Paul: "It'll be fine Herb, come on brother let's go talk about it." Herb: "Craig, close us out!" {Herb and Paul leave the room.} Herb: "Chief Jay...seriously..." Craig: "Ha folks, it seems you can indeed see absolutely anything happen in the UWF!" (C-) {Rick Rude is already making his way out to the announce are as we return.} Tony: "Rick Rude everyone, making his now standard scouting visit." Bruno: "You'd better err watch out Tony, he might slap you again." Tony: "Oh, I've learned my lesson on that one Bruno. Rick, no Missy with you tonight." {Rick Rude opens a bottle of water and pours it over Tony Schiavone.} Rick: "No, Tony, no Missy. I gave her the night off, so why not pick up a few of her duties haha. You know Schiavone, New York is probably the only place where Missy could have poured that stuff over Rick Martel without anyone complaining about the smell. It really is a toilet! HAhahahahaha!" Tony: "So, it wasn't water then!" Rick: "Bruno, really, is he actually that stupid? Tony, really, do you want me to show you what it was?" Tony: "No, no, let's just get to the action with Tito Santana versus Sid Vicious." (B-) Match #4 Sid Vicious defeats Tito Santana by disqualification [Tito gave his all in this match, with Sid being stunned by a few good flurries of offence. Indeed, after one attack, Tito was waiting on Sid staggering out the corner when Bam Bam Bigelow hit the ring and splashed Sid in the corner before hitting him with a moonsault from the top rope.] (C+) Overall: C+ TV Rating: 0.07 <div style="text-align:center;">Post-Show:</div> {Herb is at the airport check-in desk.} Airline Employee: "You look familiar..." Airline Employee: "Sir, you're holding up the..." {Herb wanders off and about two minutes later returns with Billy Robinson} Herb: "Yeah, yeah, shut up...I WAS GONE TWO SECONDS! Okay, I need you to get this guy on my flight. It's okay Billy, we'll sort of the contract arrangements on the plane. I'm not having..." Airline Employee: "Sir he..." Herb: "I'M TALKING HERE!!! Sorry Billy, I'm not having your contract run out so I'll renew it myself. We'll get on the flight and..." Airline Employee: "That's what I'm trying to tell you. There are no seats left on the flight. You could wait for a cancellation." Herb: "CANC...CANCELLATION. She wants me to wait for a cancellation. What's your name?" Airline Employee: "Andrea." Herb: "Well Andrea, you can cancel my ticket as I've NO INTENTION of flying with your airline." Airline Employee: "Your ticket is non-refundable sir and I'd appreciate it if you could keep your voice down!" Herb: "OH...WOULD YOU. The match itself became a very interesting brawl, with both men showing they weren't to be messed with. Borne managed to take the advantage, but this was cut short by a Savage superkick and Borne fell to the outside. Savage followed him out and looked to piledrive Borne on the outside. This was cut short when first Patera, then Valentine slid out from under the ring and took Savage down. The Referee immediately called for the bell.] (C-)</div></div></blockquote> {Post-match, the beating would continue though the Savage managed to fight back and took down Patera and Valentine with Headbutts. He would then turn in to a chair shot from Borne, then a second and as he staggered back to his feet and was pushed in to the ringpost head first. Valentine would recover and apply a figure four leglock on the outside as Borne laid in a few more chair shots until some UWF staff members and Referees came down to break things up.} © Tony: "You know Bruno, I don't understand why The Samoan Savage was out there alone during the match and is indeed still alone now. It...wait, okay..." {We're taken backstage, Baby Doll is outside a locker room that has had the handles chained close. Herb is losing the plot...} Baby Doll: "Tony, as you can see here one of the locker rooms have been chained close." Herb: "HOW on earth...WHAT AM I PAYING PEOPLE FOR?" {We hear voices coming from inside, it's pretty obvious who they are.} Lou: "Ellering, I'll destroy you. Just you wait, wait until Andre hears about this.} Herb: "Get this bloody door open, come on...CUT THE CHAIN!!!" {After a short while someone does indeed cut the chain and the door bursts open.} Cactus: "Where are they Herb?" Who wants to take on Mr Wonderful?" {Having watched Paul Orndorff shouting down the corridor, Baby Doll heads to the locker room and walks in. From outside we hear...} Baby Doll: "Err..." (D) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43492" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">NWA National Heavyweight Championship Steve Williams defeats Johnny Ace [Ace and Williams served up a fantastic match, with Williams having the initial advantage and Ace coming back in to it whilst working the left arm of Williams. The match went back and forward as both men provided any Japanese fans lucky to get a tape with a dream match experience. Williams would clothesline Ace out to ringside then a brief brawl began, Ace managing to avoid clothesline before hitting a drop kick that sent Williams down. Going up top, he would connect with a cross body to the outside and pound on Williams briefly. Back in the ring, Williams would be dropkicked in to the corner and then hit with a series of lariats. Ace, seeing Williams on the mat, would go for a moonsault only for Williams to collect him and step up out of the cover before hitting the Oaklahoma Stampede for the three count.] (C+)</div></div></blockquote> {Tony and Bruno are discussing the next match.} Tony: "Well Bruno, if you can't go to Japan then why not bring it to you!" Tony: "Well, Herb obviously not getting the answer he was hoping there." Bruno: "No and err I'd say Bloody..." Tony: "Or whomever he is." Bruno: "...ha, yes indeed...he may want to be careful around Herb." (D-) Tony: "He's not the only...oh, looks like I might need to be careful too folks as here comes Rick Rude." {Rick Rude makes his way around the announce area, Missy Hyatt stands behind him and The Power Twins stand off to the side.} Tony: "The Power Twins not standing in front of you, to you know protect you?" {Rick has just got his headset sorted out.} Rick: "What? Bruno, did he just say something stupid again? Why ask, of course he did. Tony, whatever it was you're lucky I missed it." Tony: "Ha, well, okay then. You're obviously down here to watch Tito Santana, but are you not slightly worried about The Viking?" Rick: "Why the...what...Bruno, could you not do these events by yourself? Tony...ach, know what..." {Rick slaps the headset off of Tony's head again.} Rick: "Guys!" {Larry Power picks Tony up out of his seat as David Power moves the seat off to the side.} Rick: "Gently now...there we go! Tony, just you sit there and let me enjoy the match." Tony: "But, I can't see my monitor." {Rick goes to grab a monitor, Bruno stops him and calms him down.} Bruno: "Come on Rick, he's not a competitor he doesn't err understand. Come on, the match has just started." (B) <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="43492" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;">Match #7 Tito Santana & Tom Brandi defeated Bob Orton Jnr & The Viking [Tito and Tom Brandi team during the Casino Nights shows and evidently have a bit of a bond developing going by the double team work on show. Any advantage they had though was soon lost when The Viking caught both with a double clothesline, before he turned his attention on Tito Santana. UWF fans will obviously remember that Tito eliminated The Viking back in May, with The Viking evidently not having forgotten as he threw Tito over the top rope. Viking & Orton would work Brandi over until Bam Bam Bigelow made an appearance at ringside. Initially, Rick Rude and Bigelow were getting in to it verbally and Orton was just watching on. Eventually, Bigelow would head towards Orton and Orton would jump down to meet him. Back in the ring, Tito had made it back to the corner and took a hot tag that saw him drive The Viking back long enough for both men to connect with a double dropkick.] ©</div></div></blockquote> {Herb has made his way down to the ringside area and is getting in-between Bigelow and Orton.} Herb: "What did I tell you about not going near people YOU DON'T have a match against?" Bam Bam: "But Herb..." Rick: "Herb, let them fight." Bam Bam: "Yeah, you want a fight next? I'll join that queue, I'll see you during Fall Assault." Herb: "Go, both of you, out of here!" Bob: "Yeah, get out of here before I knock you out." {A brawl kicks off that takes Orton and Bigelow to the back, we see Rick laughing and taking a sip of water.} Herb: "What's so FUNNY?" {Herb grabs the bottle of water and pours it over Missy Hyatt.} Herb: "I DARE YOU!!! Now, GO, I'm not having you out here whilst Rick Martel is wrestling." Rick: "You'll regret this Herb, don't forget that!" We will be bringing you news through August of how you, YES YOU, can get involved in our September wrestling SPECTACULAR. Back to tonight though and we have a lot, A LOT, to get through. Craig is backstage and we'll have an open mic session of sorts, CRAIG tell us more!" {The picture switches to Craig backstage.} Craig: "Yes, we do have an area set aside and will bring you the thoughts of the UWF roster ahead of Fall Assault. Still some slots to be filled, so expect some news there. We'll also be playing this tape..." Herb: "Tape, WHAT TAPE? How did you get a tape?" Craig: "I've not watched it yet, but the note asks it to be played tonight." {We return to Herb.} Herb: "Okay, well thanks Craig...SPEAK LATER! Now, back on to this evening and before out first match I'd like to bring out Al Perez." {Al Perez is already halfway across to Herb and gets in the face of a few fans prior to getting to Herb.} Al: "Herb, been a while, exciting times man!" {Al goes to shake Herb's hand, but he refuses.} Herb: "You know Al, sometimes I miss things in the heat of the moment. I'm through the back, I might be talking to a staff member, I could be talking to a UWF wrestler or dealing with all manner of other things. Don't get me wrong, I LET A LOT GO and hold others responsible for other stuff. BUT THIS...I'm not stupid Al. What is this key you've been talking about. You holding a key, hmmm what?" Al: "Ah, ha, you noticed that then. I'm going to beat Von Erich on Sunday, at When Foes Collide, and when I do I'll hold the key to his future." Herb: "Uhu, key to his future. Indeed, Billy Joe Travis is lucky he has a UWF contract after last week. Anyway, you've got a match tonight Al so you had better go get ready. Folks, let's go to the ring." (D+) Match #1 David Sammartino defeats Bob Bradley [Nothing special in this match., Sammartino using it as a decent warm up for the PPV. Bradley showed glimpses of quality, but it wasn't to be his night.] (D+) {Post-Match, Bruno Sammartino gets in to the ring with David and holds his arm aloft.} Bruno: "You know folks, it really is great to be in the ring with err my own son David. He's had a hard shift with the Sammartino name, some people they...well, they like to change their name and remove some of the strain. But not David and I'm proud of that, just like I'm proud to look out in to the crowd and see...see...wait...Larry!" {Bruno gets out of the ring and walks out in to the audience, where Larry Zbyszko is sitting watching the action. Just as Larry gets to stand and walk over, we hear something in the ring and the camera cuts to see Koloff and Debeers putting the boots to David Sammartino then leaving the ring. Larry pushes past Bruno and gets in to the ring, Bruno following soon after.} Colonel DeBeers: "Here we are, we see it yet again. THE DISRESPECT, Bruno wanting to get cheers for his son instead of sitting at the table telling the world how GREAT South Africa is!" See Paul Orndorff, Sid Vicious, Tito Santana, Rick Martel and more." © Match #2 Pegasus Kid & The Malenkos defeated Gran Hamada, Masa Michinoku & Monkey Magic Wakita [some fantastic lucha style action here as Pegasus and Hamada continued their brewing feud from ULL. The Malenkos controlled the two younger opposition team members and Pegasus would take the win with a top rope sunset flip on Hamada.] (D+) {We switch to Tony and Bruno.} Tony: "Wow, what an amazing evening so far. Who would have thought folks, Larry Zbyzsko in the UWF. Of course, we all hope that David is okay Bruno." Bruno: "He'll be fine Tony, it's not err ice hockey out there Tony." Tony: "Ha, I've heard that before somewhere. Oh, wait, I'm hearing that we have the first of the open sessions with Craig. Craig, over to you." {We move back to Craig DeGeorge in the interview area.} Craig: "Thank you Tony. First thing to inform you all of is that I've just watched Masked Confusion scouring the backstage area for The Sheepherders. But, now, an interesting first interview as I have both Tito Santana and Rick Martel with me." Rick: "It's fairly simple Craig, neither of us are on When Foes Collide as of yet." Tito: "Yes, we've both come from one place where we weren't being used and find ourselves...you know I don't want to complain." Rick: "Basically it goes like this. Rick Rude, wherever you are tonight I hope you're watching. We will face each other at When Foes Collide, the winner will face you in Charlotte next Friday and the loser will agree to wait until the New York at the end of the month." Tito: "Either way Rick, you won't have a moments rest during Fall Assault." Craig: "Wow, that is huge news for everyone and with that, Tony, back to the ring." (C+) Match #3 Chris Adams defeats Al Perez [Perez looked very much up for this match, with Adams also showing a newly found focus. An early spell of equal offence was broken when Adams went for an early superkick and only connected with the Referee. As Adams looked to revive the Referee we would see Perez signal to the back, which led to Brian Adias coming down to the ring and attack Adams. Adias was quickly followed by Mark Rocco who ordered Adias back, with what looked like a threat to tear up his contract. The ring cleared, we would see Adams chase Perez through the crowd and then back in to the ring, Perez connecting with a few boots as Adams slid back in. The rest of the match was all Perez until Adams slipped out an attempt for a german suplex and hit a quick superkick for the cover.] © {We go straight to Craig again.} Craig: "Folks, we'll be playing that video shortly. First though..." {Bob Orton Jnr, Sid and The Viking walk in to shot.} Bob: "Who cares about some video son, the real news is right here. Orndorff and that old fool Snuka have selected Chief Whatever he's called. Oh, by the way, there's only one Junior here! Sid: "Look at who we've got ourselves, THE VIKING!" Craig: "Well, we don't know much a...ab...errmmm, okay I'll just stand over here." {The three men just growl in to the camera.} (C-) {The video starts playing, we see a hospital room and a bed. As the camera zooms in we see it's Chris Von Erich.} Tony: "It's great to see he's recovering, but what's so..." Chris: "Hey everyone, good to see you. Well, not see you, but you know what I mean. I'm close to full recovery, Al Perez will get his. Now though, I'd like to introduce you all to a good friend. Come on, come out." {Iceman Parsons comes in to shot.} Chris: "You're for it now Perez. My brother, Parsons, Adams and I'm sure Atlas will be there. I'll be there in spirit, I'll be back though." Parsons: "Chris, what are you doing? Kevin wanted this kept secret, not to mention we've spoken about you coming back." Chris: "No, NO, I'll be back. Your here to help now though, you'll help us!" Parsons: "Yeah, that's what I do Chris. Saturday Night

{A New York hotel room, Mark Rocco and Les Thatcher are sitting again watching some ACW Television. Herb can be heard on the phone off in the distance.}

Herb: "So, NOTHING THEN! Hmmm...what...oh come ON, it's just a light bit of joking ar...no, no, yes, you're right and I appreciate it."

Mark: "I told him, we both told him."

Les: "You have to admire the tenacity though, but you can only push so far."

{Herb has by now put the phone down and comes across.}

Herb: "Guys, that was the SportsChannel rep. No pre-show on Sunday, just straight in to the Pay Per View."

Mark: "Any word on future Pay Per View events Herb?"

Herb: "SHIT!!! I knew I forgot to ask...****! We've missed the deadline for September now and we'll all be busy with Fall Assault. Anyway, is this Atlantic Coast Wrestling again? How is it...hang on, what's this..."

Les: "What?"

Herb: "This magazine...THIS!!! You know I don't like any of these, concentrating on the STARS and their favourites. We're NWA members, PUSHING THEM FORWARD, what do we get??? One stinking award since January, ONE! They gives guys awards just for checking the pages, I'm CREATING HERE and..."

Mark: "Herb, calm down or **** off mate. We're trying to watch this. Sorry Les, can you rewind a bit?"

Herb: "Okay, sorry, I'll...oh COME ON! The demise of Tito Santana??? He's hardly wrestled for the WWF since Wrestlemania Seven, but that doesn't mean he's doing nothing. He got involed with Orndorff against Sid, that was stopped when Paul got injured wasn't it..."

Mark: "Herb, you're talking to yourself here mate."

Herb: "...well it was. He's been unlucky in some battle royals, Rude tossed him out and recently he's been working with Brandi. You remember, Brandi was put through that table and came back with an attitude. Ach, you're not listening."

Mark: "No, no, we're ****ing not listening Herb. We're watching this!"

Herb: "Okay, OKAY! How is it going anyway? Les, you convinced me to take some of the guys in when we helped Nelson. Tagged with him back in 1975, someone we could trust you said."

Les: "He is, but ach I don't know. Maybe we need to send a few more workers there."

Herb: "Well, we...wait, why was Madusa unhappy?"

Les: "She dropped the...erm, hang on...you don't know?"

Herb: "No, know what?"

Mark: "She lost the NWA belt at the LPWA show. That's not all, she has gone and signed with the Japanese promotion."

Herb: "Well, I can't use her then. Right, back to ACW. We've got a lot of guys, I mean I'm always signing things. Where are the books? Come on, where..."

{Mark Rocco passes Herb a bag.}

Herb: "Right, Fall Assault...future plans...ah, here we are, the talent log. Right, so we have...**** ME...Ninety Five! We've got NINETY FIVE active wrestlers. Guys...GUYS!"

{Herb turns off the television.}

Mark: "Herb, you're bloody lucky I'm not one of that ninety five right now!"

Herb: "How did we end up with ninety five? I'm assuming the masked guy, whomever he is, isn't in as ten of them! Right, first rule from September onwards we don't book anyone who considers Japan, Mexico or anywhere else more important."

Les: "What if they hold titles Herb?"

Herb: "Leave that for now. Let's look at this list. Wait, what is the mark next to them?"

{Herb shows them both the book.}

Les: "Issues, general happiness."

Herb: "Well, this one here has an absolute cheek! I may even just go in the ring and fire him myself on Sunday! Right, okay, I'll need to look through this...there's a few we've rarely seen. This kid here too, this ONE STAR IDIOT! I'll take this with me down to the bar and I'll speak you both later."

Royal and Cruz started the bout, Royal obviously still angry about losing the ACW Mid-Atlantic tag belts. It didn't take long for all eight men to be in the ring and the evening's first test for the Referees would begin. As order was restored, Johnny Saint and the Cuban Assassin would take things on and the ACW would take control. A groggy Saint would tag in Billy Robinson, who very quickly took over and would take The Cuban Assassin and then Gerry Morrow apart limb by limb before tagging in Bobby Blaze to make a cover on Morrow as Robinson covered any potential interference from Royal or South. George South was livid at this, getting in Royal's face and then giving both Cuban Commandos a piece of his mind also. He charged the UWF corner and would take out Blaze, knocking Cruz to the floor as he did. This again saw a bit of action on the outside as the Commandos limped round and soon wished they hadn't. Meanwhile, back in the ring, South was working Blaze in the corner and tagged in Royal demanding he follow up. Royal would briefly, but was pulled out the ring by Robinson. South would come racing round only to meet the fist of Johnny Saint. The Referee managed to regain order again, both teams now basically down to three or even two as Blaze tended to Joe Cruz and Gerry Morrow was helping a limping Cuban Assassin. Indeed, George South would get sick of this and would demand Morrow and the Assassin just leave, before grabbing Blaze and throwing him in the ring. Royal would make use of the confusion and roll up Blaze for a pin whilst holding the tights. South would come in the ring to celebrate, wrong move as both Robinson and Saint would apply submission moves. Indeed, it was a replica or replacement belt due to Dean Malenko having the belt with him in Japan. Tony: "I can only imagine Bruno that we're seeing the first results of what happened earlier." Bruno: "Well, I...err...I don't know what to make of this. The NWA certainly appear to be, well I'm sure Herb will err..." Tony: "Bruno Sammartino, speachless everyone!" The belt in place, the match began and everyone was fine until the four men realised one important missing element...the ladder. The four men headed backstage, the camera following them through the curtains and catching the action as each tried to gain an advantage long enough to find a ladder. It was Scorpio who managed this, hitting a legdrop on Honaga from an equipment container and then finding a ladder. Pegasus and Owen broke from their battle to chase him, heading him off just as he reached the ring. Honaga would also appear with a second ladder, which he immediately launched towards the three men and missed. 2 Cold hit with a dropkick as Owen and Pegasus began a tug of war with the second ladder. Scorpio would see this, leap up on to the ladder and hit a moonsault on Honaga. Owen and Pegasus would wait for Scorpio to get up and then smashed him with the ladder before grabbing a ladder each and heading in to the ring. Both men would set their ladders and scale from different sides, leading to a bit of back and forward whilst battling between ladders. This would be broken up by Honaga pushing Pegasus off and down then getting up to battle with Owen. The battling didn't last long as Scorpio tipped the ladder, which sent Honaga out the ring and Owen in to the corner. Scorpio would set the ladder again and begin to climb, but Pegasus would come back and climb the other side. This led to a failed sunsetflip attempt, with Pegasus beating Scorpio's back then going for a German Suplex on the ladder. Owen would help this by dropkicking the ladder and the result being Scorpio and Pegasus both being out of things. So, a coin toss went ahead and Al's team actually won meaning they would have the advantage. With the both teams on either side of the ring, we had various Referees and officials in attendance. Indeed, Mark Rocco could easily be heard telling Al Perez he'd have him in Japan if he tried anything. Perez started the match with Tony Atlas and would circle him, laying in the occasional jab, until they locked up and Perez was easily losing a test of strength. This continued on for a while, Atlas lifting Perez up by one arm, until Brian Adias came in to the ring and took out the knee of Atlas to allow himself and Perez to start laying in the boots and knocking Atlas down. Adias was ordered to slide out, grabbed a chair and had that pulled from him by Mark Rocco. Both men would work over Atlas until Adams entered the ring and went after Adias, who to be fair to him took a hell of a lot of punishment. By the time Adams was finished with Adias, it was time for Scarpa to enter the ring and again Adams was too occupied to get to Perez. Perez had by now worked over Atlas, but was taken by surprise by a sudden punch to the temple. Scarpa and Adias would win the numbers game over Adams, until Adams managed to push both back from the corner and hit a quick superkick on Scarpa. At this point, Kevin Von Erich would begin to enter the ring until a very familiar "GET HIM KEVIN" was heard from the crowd. That took Von Erich by surprise as he scanned the crowd, Al Perez slid out and also started to scan the crowd. Eventually all eight men, including "The Mercernary" Tim Patterson, were looking at ringside until Adias shouted across "HERE, HERE..." and all hell broke loose. Rocco went on his backside, referees dove in to the crowd and all eight men battled it out...or did they? Iceman Parsons was busy waving down for more help from backstage, but by the time he turned there were seven men in the ring. In the ring now we had Perez, Scarpa and Adias being worked on by Adams and Atlas whilst Von Erich was trading blows with Patterson. Von Erich knocked Patterson in to the corner and turned to Parsons, Parsons shook Von Erichs hand...tightened his grip...pulled him close and hit a vicious belly to belly suplex. As Perez lay in the corner his eyes almost popped out of his head, even more so as Parsons threw Adams over the top rope then dropped Tony Atlas with a low blow. Bob: "Jesus son, Rick Rude is right about you. Move would you!" Bruno: "The match is still going on, though I do have to say The Viking is doing very well." Bob: "Great isn't...daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, did you see that? Strongbow may not have a head on his shoulders any more of this. Get Snuka back in!" Sid: "That guy is murder, haha. You know, he's a bit like this UWF roster...it's hardly WCW is it. I thought I'd be bus...oh, here he comes. WHAT?" Paul: "Just this!" Orndorff slaps the taste out of Sid's mouth and they start brawling against the guardrail and round along the side of the ring. The Viking is now beating down both Snuka and Strongbow, infact Sid has managed to break free of Orndorff too and Orndorff appears to be nursing a sore rib. Bob: "What the..." ...just as Bam Bam Bigelow launches himself across the table and in to Orton. This grabs Sid's attention and he gets on the apron to confront Bigelow. This allows Orndorff a chance to get in and clothesline The Viking from behind then run to the other side and knock Sid off the apron. Koloff and DeBeers would pair off with Sammartino and Larry, whilst the two tag teams would engage in their own battle initially. DeBeers had the better of Sammartino, with Larry and Koloff trading blows one after the other. Eventually, the Sheepherders and Masked Confusion would battle to the outside and we'd also see Koloff and Larry brawling through the crowd. At one point Koloff would block a Zbyszko suplex and then connect with a low blow. Sammartino though would rally and begin to beat down DeBeers. Masked Confusion would get back in the ring, Koloff seeing this would come back to attempt to save his team mate from the 3 on 1. Zbyszko would also get back in the ring, now making it four on two...but where were The Sheepherders. David Sammartino went to the far side of the ring to look out, he was launched backwards by some sort of blow and as he landed blood began to pour from his head. Bruno: "Larry, LARRY..." The Sheepherders both slid back in to the ring, barbed wire wrapped around their arms and they both attacked a member of Masked Confusion each. Larry saw them both go down and momentarily backed off, before kicking DeBeers out the ring and beginning to pummel Ivan Koloff with blows to the forehead. They both fell to the outside, by the time Larry was back in the ring both members of Masked Confusion were now hand cuffed to the ropes and The Sheepherders were holding their barbed wire taped arms to their heads. Tony: "Why is the Referee not stopping this Bruno? Larry is just standing there frozen, he's..." Ivan Koloff came up from behind and applied the cobra clutch, there was no way out and Larry Zbysko would pass out before he would tap. A quick slide out of the ring didn't trick Williams to follow, but did give Landel the issue of getting back in. After an attempt at each side, Landel stopped and just looked in to the ring and applauded Williams. Williams responded by sitting on the middle rope to allow Landel in, with Landel jumping up and kicking the rope before getting in the ring and hitting a drop kick to Williams knee. Williams tried shaking it off and Landel came at him again, taking Williams down to one knee and allowing Landel to apply a rear choke hold that eventually saw Williams down on his side. Williams would eventually lift Landel up with a firemans carry style manouvre, but was groggy and Landel managed to lock up and hit an arm drag before going for a front choke. Williams again, would lift Landel and threw him towards the corner. Landel would go for a dropkick, but Williams swept it away and Landel rolled outside again. The next few minutes saw more attempts to get in, Williams looking to knee Landel each time. Eventually Williams got sick of this and slid out himself. He was met by Landel and an almost ice hockey style brawl kicked off. Both men would slide back in to break the count, both getting to their feet at the same time. Williams grabbed Landel and threw him in to the corner before backing up and going for a splash, but Landel moved and Williams injured his knee. Landel would notice this and locked in a figure four, with Williams obviously struggling. Williams large legs appeared to stop total application of the hold, Landel would move forward to try to strengthen the hold and took a punch to the face. Williams would manage to get to the ropes after a while and Landel was looking frustrated. Williams would get to his feet, but was obviously limping. This allowed Landel to circle a little, he managed to get two elbow blows in to Williams back and then lept on to try another choke hold. Williams went to one knee, but this only shifted Landel up and over slightly and Williams took the chance to run him in to the corner. Four suplexes later, Williams almost hopping, and we had a very different match on our hands. Williams threw Landel to the ropes and hit a standing clothesline that visibly drained the life from Landel. Don Muraco had tagged himself in and would go after Valentine, who slid out the ring and was followed to the side by Borne. Don would tag back out and give Lou a funny look, Cactus Jack would come in...or more to the point stay out...and hit an elbow from the apron on to a prone Ken Patera. Matt Borne would race across and attack Cactus, throwing him back in and both men would have a rolling scrap until they both fell out of the ring. This left only Valentine, who shrugged his shoulders and came in to fight with Ron Starr. Starr was no match and was quickly beaten down and ended up in a figure four leglock. Muraco would drop down and pull Starr out of the ring. Andre was by now down and checking on Cactus and then later Starr, meanwhile Muraco and Valentine were brawling away. Eventually Ellering and Albano would be up on the apron, Ellering was knocked down by Muraco and he was subsequently pushed over the top rope by Valentine. Greg would turn straight in to Andre, looking up Valentine would gulp and turned to run only to be grabbed and thrown out. A 3 on 3 brawl began outside and splintered out in to the crowd and up the aisles. Ellering was now looking up at Andre, but in one second of madness he started smiling and looked towards the entranceway... Bruno: "He's either insane or he has a plan, you don't take your eyes off of Andre." Tony: "Wow, that's King Kong Bundy!" King Kong Bundy made his way down to the ring, got in and stood face to face with Andre. Paul: "See Lou, see, what did I tell you! Just look at him, look at..." Andre reeled back and hit Bundy with a chop that got very little reaction. Andre followed with another, Bundy returned and the two giants locked up and worked around the ring. As they did, the others would slowly return. Eventually they would both be in the corner, just trading tired blows. Muraco tagged himself in again, charging across the ring and dragging Starr over the rope and in to a suspended suplex. He would launch Starr out the ring, then go after Valentine only for Bundy to stagger across and attempt a clothesline. He missed, taking out Valentine and knocking Patera back down. Cactus would meet those two outside and throw each one in to the guardrail. Lou: "Tag Andre in, tag him in...DON, tag him in." Don would go to suplex Bundy, which saw the expected result of him being pushed back in to the corner. Andre reached down and tagged himself in, we then saw Bundy and Andre battle until they were both on their knees. Borne and Cactus Jack began brawling on the outside, chairs were flying everywhere as both men charged through the crowd. The Referee slid out to try and calm things down, Ellering got up on the ring apron and Lou pulled him down. Martel would go to work on Tito's leg, but Tito would block with with a side headlock and neither man had the advantage leading to another double release. A lock up followed, Martel managing to hit a quick arm drag only for Tito to bounce straight up and hit a dropkick that turned the tide slightly. Martel would get to his feet and they locked up again, this time moving back and to the ropes with the Referee demanding a break. Rick: "Oh you can only have so much DNA Bruno...BOOOOOOOOO!!!!" Tito: "Hey, you think you can do be..." Rick Martel took the opportunity to roll up Santana, only for Santana to kick out and immediately slap Martel. This didn't go down well with Martel, though his attempted punch was blocked and Santana would connect with a dropkick that sent Martel to the outside. Tony: "Any preference at this point Rick? I mean, both men are..." Rick: "Shhhhhhhh Tony, just shhhhhhhhhhh. Missy, sit on Tony's lap would you...do us all a favour and keep him occupied or at least take all the blood away from his brain! Hey, where did..." The Power Twins were by now up at the ring and moving towards Martel, Santana would jump out to stop them and received a running knee to the back that sent him in to both twins. Martel would roll Santana in to the ring and would apply a boston crab. Santana would struggle to get out, but eventually got to the ropes and Martel broke the hold though quickly picked up Santana. Martel would throw Santana in to the corner and went for a splash, which failed to connect. Santana pulled a headscissors takedown and went for a cover, Martel kicked out. Anyway, setup for this is that the two TV shows still go alongside the "Tour" and the Friday night events are shown on SportsChannel America. So, Monday is a Tour night, Wednesday is THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURY HOUR and a Tour night, Friday is a televised Tour night and Saturday is the ACW TV show and a Tour night. It of course lasts three weeks and some of the guys are unavailable aside from Wednesday's due to Japan. Plus, Rick Rude doesn't do Saturday nights...Jerry Jarrett has him and unlike Beejus I don't go round editing everything. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
