The WWF haven't been in Canada all year. No, Herb, on this one you're absolutely right. Sooner the better I think! last week of each month?"</p><p> </p><p> Herb: "Production will be busy last week of December on the Christmas Special Fury Hour."</p><p> </p><p> Les: "Right, second week then. Every second Monday of the month, we go to Canada."</p><p> </p><p> Mark: "Fine, fine. But Herb, what was all that MUNDO crap in the toilet? Watch this Les!"</p><p> </p><p> Mark: "**** me...they actually demand blood, it'll be in the contract!!! Have you seen this list of matches they'll allow? I'm not even sure some of these aren't illegal. Yes Herb, yes you insane bastard! First Monday of the month, starting in January."</p><p> </p><p> Herb: "What if they want something before then?"</p><p> </p><p> Mark: "My view, send them the December Thunder Series footage and we miss a month."</p><p> </p><p> Les: "Yes, that seems like the only way. We can't run it straight after Novembrawl, that's just too much to arrange. Especially when we absolutely must have the full stage for every single show."</p><p> </p><p> Herb: "Right, GREAT! UWF Novembrawl - Week 4 November 1991

Dark Matches

Akira Hokuto and Madusa Miceli defeated Leilani Kai and Malia Hosaka (D-)

UWF European Championship

Dave Finlay defeats Steve Grey (D-)

{The Pay Per View kicks off with Tony Schiavone and Herb Abrams.}

Herb: "GOOD EVENING and...welcome...to...the...UWF's NOVEMBRAAAAAAAAAAAWL pay per view!"

Tony: "A phenomenal evening of industry changing action awaits us. We'll have both tag team and singles matches, stipulations that could have huge ramifications and more."

Herb: "THE LEGEND that is Andre the Giant will be right here on Pay Per View."

Tony: "Ivan Koloff has told Larry that we'll see who will be alone."

Herb: "Both of them will be Tony, BOTH of them...I guarantee it! We can also guarantee a NEW UWF World Heavyweight Champion."

Tony: "Wow, that's enough to get anyone to excited. You know who else is excited, Baby Doll. Let's go backstage to her right now."

{We switch to Baby Doll.}

Baby Doll: "Hi guys, you're right about the excitement Tony. I've managed to get a word with a few wrestlers as they arrived..."

{First up is Steve Williams, who doesn't actually say anything. He just gives a big thumbs up and walks on in to the arena. Second is Larry Zbyszko.}

Larry: "How am I feeling? Great, this could be my night. You know, there can only be so many Russians or foreigners stupid enough to associate themselves with Ivan Koloff."

{Larry heads off and the next person show is Brian Pillman.}

Brian: "Good, good, no real reason why I shouldn't be. It's time for the UWF fans to look to the skies and, not go hey wow man blah blah, but go there's the Champion!"

{The final UWF wrestler shown being spoken to by Baby Doll is Michael Hayes.}

Michael: "Bit confused to be honest, but confident...always confident! Freebirds go in with gold, Freebirds come back out. DDP, brother, a heads up on the surprise would be nice."

{We return to Tony and Herb.}

Tony: "It's all building nicely, though I believe it's not as quiet as you'd like backstage Herb." (C+)

Herb: "No, it's certainly not and why don't we just show the footage."

{We go to a locker room, Chaz Taylor and The Eagle are sitting on a bench as two familiar voices can be heard and then we see Slater and Prichard walk in to shot.}

Dick Slater: "Hey look, those benches don't look very comfortable."

Tom Prichard: "No, they might get a splinter and be out for the night."

Dick: "All seeing the room is empty. Did you two have to wait to sit down? What the hell are you doing anyway?"

{Tom continues on as Chaz goes to stand and Dick pushes him back down.}

Tom Prichard: "Tito's not here now kid...answer the question then maybe we'll let you walk out!"

The Eagle: "We're looking for a..."

{Dick Slater pushes The Eagle back against a locker.}

Dick Slater: "You can speak when you're not wearing a mask!"

Tom Prichard: "Know what, let's get out of here."

{Dick Slater picks Chaz up and places a towel under him.}

Tom Prichard: "How hospitable of you!"

Dick Slater: "Gee, thanks! Right, let's go find out who our match is against."

{They leave and bump in to Craig DeGeorge.}

Dick Slater: "Oh, look who it is. Who's our match against Craig?"

Craig: "You err, I...you don't have a match."

{Tom Prichard shoves his middle finger in Craig's face.}

Tom Prichard: "How'd you like to host this!"

Dick Slater: "Damn, that's funny...I don't find much funny, but damn! Well, it'd appear we will just need to leave them. Disappointing, isn't it Tom."

Tom Prichard: "Oh, terribly disappointing Dick. Ah well, see you next week Craig."

{Craig looks very confused as the pair walk off and we return to Herb and Tony.}

Tony: "Southern Hospitality folks, who..."

Herb: "Tony, ENOUGH talk! I think it's time to get to the first match of the night and we've been joined by Robert Gibson." (D+)

[All four men here put on a good display, with El Esqueleto and Lizmark showing up well. The inclusion of Gibson on commentary made things a bit more interesting as he chatted with Herb and Tony.

Herb: "So, we have already seen you go face to face WITH DEAN."

Robert: "I'm only here in the UWF for one reason and he holds it."

Herb: "FANTASTIC, that's great to hear."

Tony: "I've had a bit more exposure to your career than Herb. You're better known for your tag team success."

Robert: "Yes, I haven't had a singles title since 1983."

Herb: "You're still a fantastic wrestler though, one of the best and ONLY THE BEST are here in the UWF."

The match continued, with the two Mexicans falling foul of the tag rules on a few occasions. The frustration probably led to the finish with Lizmark trying a top rope dropkick and Dean getting a submission win as Joe cut off El Esqueleto.]

Winner: The Malenko Brothers

Overall: C-

{Post-match, Dean Malenko noticed Robert at commentary and faked holding the rope open for him before waving him off.}

Robert: "What was the point of that? Joe's chuckling to himself too...totally disre..."

{Robert just pauses, thinks to himself then waves to the crowd and walks off.} ©

UWF World Heavyweight Title - First Round

Ivan Koloff vs Larry Zbyszko (steel cage match)

[This match started with Ivan just laughing to himself and Larry gesturing that he's nuts.

Herb: "He'll not be laughing for long..."

A Referee on the outside was seen listening to his ear piece as an insert piece of footage played. The footage showed a door backstage, with Mark Rocco ensuring it was locked and suddenly an all too familiar voice could be heard.

Voice: "LET ME IN...South Africa will not be denied its voice."

A Police siren is heard and the lights can be seen under the door as the insert disappears. At the same time, Koloff has obviously been told what is happening and is pointing down at Herb. Herb laughs at Ivan, shows him the cage door key and sits back down.

Larry took control of the match immediately, with Ivan still reeling and unable to get any sort of offence in. Larry would break off briefly to give Herb a thumbs up, which saw Ivan manage to hit a low blow. After a few stomps, Ivan would go across to the door and demand it was opened with the Referees only being able to gesticulate that none of them had a key. Ivan would go on a tirade about stupid Americans and was run in to the corner by Zbyszko. Still smarting, Larry lifted Ivan up and bounced him face first in to the top turnbuckle. This was followed by a long sequence of Larry working round the next three corners and bouncing Larry off each top turnbuckle. Before the fourth though, Ivan slumped to the floor and Larry looked out to the crowd laughing. Larry applied a figure four and released, laughing again.

The camera panned to show Dick Slater and Tom Prichard coming to the ring, Prichard had a chair and Dick gave Herb a thumbs up as he took wire cutters from his jeans.

Tony: "Looks like Larry is about to get some..."

Herb: "SHUT UP! No, no, NO! If anyone is listening in the back and was the idiot who left those cutters lying around...LEAVE NOW!"

Dick started cutting at the cage mesh, with Larry noticing and coming across to kick at the mesh. Tom slid the chair through the small gap, then turned to meet Bobby Fulton's fist straight in his face. Prichard went down and Slater turned, threatening Fulton with the cutters and then chasing him to the back.

Back in the ring, Ivan could barely lift the chair and received a kick to the stomach. As Ivan dropped the chair, Larry grabbed him and piledrove him straight on to the chair. Larry made the cover, got up and walked over to the door.]

Winner: Larry Zbyszko

{An advert plays for the UWF video range.}

Craig DeGeorge: "You can still get Beach Brawl, plus other great titles. Also, coming soon, the Thunder series of UWF video releases. Promising you hard hitting action and never before seen exclusive matches." (E+)

{We return to Tony Schiavone, Herb is just returning to his seat.}

Tony: "You'll be happy Herb."

Herb: "MIGHT BE Tony, just might be. Some people may mention the chair."

Tony: "Larry didn't bring it in."

Herb: "An unfortunate event Tony, Larry won't care."

Tony: "Okay, well let's now take you to Baby Doll as she looks to get a word with two more men who won't care how they win tonight."

{We switch to Baby Doll, who is just about to enter Steve Williams locker room.}

Baby Doll: "Hi guys, I know he just walked past earlier...let's try for a word now..."

{Baby Doll opens the door, steps in and we hear Steve screaming followed by Baby Doll.}

Baby Doll: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!! STEVE..."

{Baby Doll backs out the room, fear etched across her face as Steve steps out with the blindfold on. He takes it off and looks to camera.}

Steve: "Just one sound Bob...just one!"

{Steve walks off and Baby Doll composes herself before walking a few feet further down the corridor. She chaps the door and Bob Orton Jnr hobbles out.}

Bob: "Oh I wonder what you could probably want."

Herb: "Baby Doll, if you're hearing this...ask Bob who he was talking to on Big Wrestling."

Baby Doll: "Errr Bob, Herb would like to..."

{Bob grabs the microphone from Baby Doll.}

Bob: "Hey Herb, you want to stop trying to be the star of the show. I've heard a few rumours, you've named yourself as the first Hall of Fame inductee in the UWF."

Herb: "Baby Doll, get the microphone back!"

Bob: "Hands off! You know what, coming up very shortly, I'm going to win that UWF World title and then I'm going to shove how good I am down your throat Herb. Right down your lying..."

{The picture switches back to Herb and Tony.}

Tony: "He's not right is he?"

Herb: "WHAT? No...he's insane!" (B-)

UWF World Heavyweight Title - First Round

Steve Williams vs Bob Orton Jnr (Blindfold match)

[The match began with Bob expectantly refusing to put his hood on first. Steve Williams eventually put his on first with Bob inevitably trying to take advantage and being stopped by Les Thatcher. Williams obviously heard the commotion and took his hood back off, before going to demand a microphone.

Steve: "Who's soft now Orton? I hope your father isn't here to see this."

Bob went berserk and both men were standing toe to toe, with Les and Larry Hennig getting between them. Eventually, Les & Larry just grabbed a hood each and placed them over the head of either worker.

Both men started the actual action off very cagey, reaching for each other and the usual grabbing at fresh air. Williams would bump in to Orton and threw a punch, Orton moved away and knocked the Referee over. This could have been the most redundant Referee bump ever, had a fan not shouted "The Referee is down". Bob heard first, ripped off his hood and went after Williams...Larry, Les and even Rocco made their way in to the ring as the bell was rung over and over. Williams was revealed to be cut open as the hood was removed and Orton was ordered back. As soon as Williams was calm, he went for Orton and football tackled his bad knee. Les could be seen listening in to an ear piece.

Tony: "I've never seen anything like this Herb, it can't end this way."

Herb: "No it can't and IT WON'T!"

Medics came out to tend to both men, with the agents watching over. After a minute, Steve had his cut dressed and Bob was back up though limping and pointing at Williams. Mark Rocco quickly grabbed the microphone, Les managed to whisper to him.

Mark: "Right you two, the ****ing around is over! A corner each, the hoods will go on and...Bob, HEY BOB, so help me I will knock you out! The hoods will go on and you'll both come out fighting. Steve, come on...in the corner. LOOK, if those hoods come off again you're suspended for a month."

Both men stepped back, the ring cleared and the hoods went back on with both men stepping forward and searching again. This time the searching and grabbing seemed endless until Williams grabbed Bob's arm and we had a one handed test of strength that took Orton to his knees. Williams reached out and found Orton's head long enough to get a couple of slaps before Orton managed to pull Williams forwards and over him. Orton got to his feet and stomped where he thought Williams was, catching him on the back once and then missing the next time as Williams rolled. Orton slid to the edge of the ring and grabbed for his knee, meanwhile Williams got back up and started almost fanning the air with his arms. He did grab something, but quickly realised it was the Referee and backed off. At those point Orton got to his feet very quietly and gave a suspicious stomp of his foot that could have been an attempt to get life back in to the injured knee or...

...a masked men slid from under the ring and came racing across the ring with a chair, connecting with Williams and then grabbing Orton to get him to make the cover. The Referee made the cover and Orton fled the ring with the masked man, who took his mask off to reveal himself to be Joe Cruz.]

Winner: Bob Orton Jnr

Overall: E+ - (evidently the fans had seen enough of these two)

{Lou Albano and Andre the Giant are standing in front of a Novembrawl banner.}

Lou: "It's time Andre."

Andre: "Yes it is boss!"

Lou: "I see you smiling, I don't think I've seen a smile like that in a good while."

Andre: "I'm happy boss, VERY happy hahahahaha!"

Lou: "You see that fans, you see the smiles and the laughter. Don and Bundy aren't going to see that. NO, they'll only see Andre's huge fist punching them again and again AND AGAIN AND AG..."

Andre: "Lou, Lou, calm down boss. You'll need your strength for later on when we're in the ring. I've got this, the UWF fans can look forward to the match tonight boss. You are right though, they'll only see this!"

{Andre steps forward and holds his clenched fist to the camera, blocking the shot entirely.}

Lou: "Yes, darkness, then TERROR, FEAR..."

{We hear the voice of Cactus Jack as Andre draws his fist back.}

Cactus: "Did I hear someone mention Fear?"

Lou: "Hey Jack, look at you man."

Andre: "Cactus, are you okay?"

Cactus: "It doesn't matter how I look or whether I'm okay. Don Murco, I'm still covered in the sand you tried to bury me in. Fear...oh, we'll see fear tonight. Fear when I bag up Don Muraco and put him out of this business for good!"

Lou: "Bag up? What does he mean bag up?"

Andre: "Don Muraco, King Kong Bundy...it's time for actions to speak louder than words. Come on boss, Cactus, let's go get ready." ©

UWF World Heavyweight Title - First Round

Brian Pillman vs B. Brian Blair

[There wasn't much to this match, with Pillman dragging it out a bit by toying with Blair. Eventually Blair would get some moves in, but it was pretty much limited to a few punches and whipping Pillman to the ropes only to be met with a slap to the face after Pillman had slid under and caught Blair as he turned. Pillman caught Blair with a running sunset flip straight after that for the pin.

Brian: "Hey SportsChannel America, you're about as relevant as your champion."

DDP: "No disrespect bro, but you're a new Freebird. Handshake's is all you get, though I'll give you a free play. Reno, set the man up with something positive."

{John wanders across to Reno.}

Michael: "So, Page, what's this surprise dude? Give a brother a heads up."

DDP: "Michael, honestly, I don't know. My boy Reno has been on his phone, he's been having meetings. You know these things, they don't just happen man. It takes a lot of work."

Michael: "Well, is it even..."

John: "YES, YES, Hollywood is gonna get some gold man. Hey Michael, title shot...ANY TIME!"

Michael: "WHAT? Dallas, how the...what...dude, seriously..."

{DDP looks across to Reno Dice.}

DDP: "Hey Reno, is there anything we can do? You know, keep it a surprise but give him an idea of when?"

{Reno nods and they make their way over.}

John: "Gold Michael, it's..."

Michael: "Yeah I heard, but we've got a match tonight so it'd be real cool if you could calm down and go get ready. I'll be there after this."

Reno: "Right, pair of dice. Evens, the surprise happens tonight. Odds, it happens any time."

Michael: "Any...what? Oh, okay...what can I lose? At least this doesn't involve who gets first shot!"

{Michael picks up the dice, blows on them and...}

Reno: "SEVEN!"

Michael: "DAMN!" (C+)

UWF World Heavyweight Title - First Round

Rick Steiner vs John Nord

[Of all the brawls we've had in the UWF through 1991, this was probably the toughest. Both men went toe to toe in the centre of the ring for the first five minutes. Punches turned to running clotheslines, trade off of slams, more punches and eventually a test of strength that led to Nord hitting a low blow and both men being out on the mat.

Tony: "WOW, what have we just seen?"

Herb: "Some of THE GREATEST wrestling in the world from TWO MEN who have joined the UWF because we ARE THE BEST!"

Tony: "Rick's recent behaviour aside..."

Herb: "Tony, we don't know what is behind any of that. But, I can reveal now that we will all find out on next weeks FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURY HOUR!"

As the action raged on, we saw Nord and Steiner going at it again. Nord eventually would throw Steiner in to a corner and go for some sort of splash variation. This saw Steiner move aside and hit a belly to back suplex that appeared to take the stuffing out of Nord. Steiner looked around, half expecting to see Dan Kroffat, but nobody appeared and so he executed a belly to belly on Nord as he rose again and took the victory by pinfall.]

Winner: Rick Steiner

{Parsons tips the table over and throws some of the gear around before storming off.}

Craig: "Okay, so not everyone likes our merchandise." (D+)

UWF World Tag Team Championship

The Freebirds (Hayes & Tatum) © vs Kroffat & Furnas

[Tony and Herb had been joined by Rick Steiner as the match began, funnily enough Dan Kroffat had been looking everywhere aside from the announce table as he made his way down. I a rather unique occurence, the Champions were also slightly pre-occupied as they made their way to the ring with Michael Hayes pointing at the belts and gesturing for John to be focused.

Tony: "So, Rick, surely you should be..."

Rick: "How I spend my spare time is my business Tony, let's leave it at that."

Herb: "Exactly, there's a title match out there Tony...CALL IT!"

Tony: "Okay, well The Freebirds look like they have things on their minds certainly."

The initial exchanges of the match saw Michael Hayes backing off and doing some strutting. This lasted until the second occasion when Furnas slapped the taste out of his mouth and Michael tagged in Tatum. Tatum didn't fair much better as he gestured that he was going to take the belt, Hayes could only look on stunned as he stroked his jaw.

Tony: "That could, of course, be any belt after the throw of the dice earlier."

Herb: "YOU KNOW, I absolutely LOVE that idea...LOVE IT!!!"

Tatum was quickly beaten down by Furnas and found himself in the opposition corner for a good while, with Kroffat tagging himself in. Kroffat whipped Tatum to the opposite corner and ran in with a stiff clothesline. He stepped back, looked to the crowd, noticed Rick Steiner and walked across to the ropes to look down. Rick looked up, stuck his tongue in his cheek and just looked around the table. Hayes had by now jumped down and pulled Tatum out of the ring, leaving Kroffat and Furnas to becon them back in as the Freebirds had a head to head.

Tony: "We've seen this before, Hayes liking to run things from the floor and get some seperation for a while."

Herb: "They're coming round...HAND ME THE BELTS!"

Michael noticed this and dejectedly walked back round with Tatum, though no sooner had Tatum gotten back in...Hayes tagged himself back in. Hayes would continually break out of the next few lock ups and point down at Rick, Kroffat eventually tagged back out and Furnas came in only for Hayes to kick him in the mid-section, hit a suplex and get the first near pinfall. From here, the match was fairly even until Tatum tagged himself back in and was taken down by Kroffat who ran along the apron to clothesline the gesturing Tatum and then made for Steiner.

Herb: "It's okay Rick, I've got this."

The Headset came off and Herb cut off Kroffat before he reached the table. We couldn't hear the discussion, but after a minute Furnas had Tatum pinned only for Hayes to roll them over. Kroffat heard the count and got back in to the ring. Hayes went for Kroffat and missed, being pushed out the ring. Tatum got up, not knowing what was going on, and was lifted in to the air and dropped face first before being pinned.]

Winners: Kroffat & Furnas

{We go to Baby Doll, who is with Johnny Ace.}

Baby Doll: "Johnny, the UWF Americas belt looks good around your waist. But, it might not be for long as I hear you have a title match tonight."

Johnny: "I do indeed, but I don't know who against. I can't find Les, Mark or Larry and nobo...err...nobody has told me. But, I plan to be a fighting champion so it doesn't matt..who is that over there? Sorry, sorry...oh, ha, I see who it is now. It doesn't matter the type of match or even who, I'M JUST NOT LOOKING FOR ANY SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY!" (D)

UWF World Heavyweight Title - Semi Final

Larry Zbyszko vs Bob Orton Jnr

[bob Orton Jnr and Joe Cruz were stopped by Mark Rocco and Joe was told he couldn't go down to ringside.

Tony: "That's a..."

Herb: "IF THEY'RE STILL IN THE BUILDING, GET THEM OUT!!!"

Tony: "...good call by Mark there. Herb, I'm saying it's a..."

Herb: "Yes, YES, concentrate on the match."

Larry had strangely enough brought the chair from earlier with him and offered it to Bob. Pointing at Bob's knee and laughing, he dropped the chair and kicked it away before gesturing that the time for talk was over. Bob laughed himself and just bounced up and down to show his knee was fine.

Herb: "Well, I'll be DAMNED!"

This allowed Bob to take control initially as Larry turned to the crowd. Bob managed to work Larry around the ropes, kicking his leg out a few times and then pushing in to a corner to lay in some punches. A step back and attempted lariat only ended with Bob laying in the corner and Larry pointing at his own head.

Tony: "Always thinking Herb."

Herb: "Yes, Bruno always had good things to say. Hello Bruno, if you're watching...WHY WOULDN'T YOU BE!"

Back in the ring, Larry was starting to work on Bob's supposedly okay knee until he noticed Bob reach for his shoulder and immediately switched to an arm bar then a kneeling hammerlock. Orton attempte to get to one knee so Larry lifted him up and ran him shoulder first in to the corner though Bob ducked and Larry went face first in to the top turnbuckle. Bob looked up to the entrance and called for Joe, before cursing and turning towards Herb to make the belt gesture.

Herb: "He's not coming Bob!"

Bob: "I'll fill that mouth of yours with the damned belt! Hey...watch this!"

Larry was still down so Bob picked him up and threw him shoulder first in to the turnbuckle again, then again, then again, then...he just lifted him up and hit a shoulder breaker, before dragging him in to place. Bob went up top, took off backwards and hit only mat as Larry had rolled out the way.

Tony: "Both men down folks, what a match."

Herb: "No matter what you think of either man, THIS IS THE U...W...F!!!"

Larry got his wits back about him and noticed Bob was down, he took his injured leg and worked it over. At one point, Bob was wrapped round the bottom rope and pleading for mercy. Larry started just kicking the rope until Bob let go. The only thing left to do was drag Bob to the centre of the ring, which Larry did before very slowly applying a figure four leglock whilst smiling. Bob gave up almost immediately, with Larry celebrating whilst nursing the injured shoulder.]

UWF Americas Championship

Johnny Ace © vs ?????

[There'd still been no announcement as to Johnny's opponent, with the ring announcer looking confused and Johnny looking down towards Herb.

Herb: "I don't know Johnny, someone will know...HELL, WE'RE LIVE!"

Tony: "Do you think this has anything to do with Reno Dice?"

Herb: "I don't..."

A commotion starts in the crowd, with Iceman Parsons leaping a guardrail, sliding in the ring and taking out Johnny Ace. Parsons slides out the other side and goes after Herb.

Iceman: "Any sort of match he said...no mention of a rule, I'll beat that fool!"

Tony: "What the..."

Parsons knocks Herb back down to the chair, which we see topple over as Parsons gets back in the ring.

There's been no bell, but the Referee is acting as if the match has begun. Parsons picks Ace up and slaps him repeatedly until Johnny is bleeding from his mouth. Parsons goes for the Referee, who rings the bell.

Tony: "Okay folks, we appear to have a match underway though also an issue with Herb! Herb...oh, that's not good. Folks, Herb is about to be taken away from the announce area."

Parsons now has the UWF Americas belt and drives it in to Johnny's face. The Referee calls for the bell and leaps out of the ring as UWF officials come running down.

UWF World Heavyweight Title - Semi Final

Brian Pillman vs Rick Steiner

[Tony: "What a match we have here and I have Michael Hayes with me now! You must be disappointed with the..."

Michael: "Yeah, yeah, can we just watch the match?"

Tony: "You are also, still, of course, waiting to find out what the surprise will be."

Michael: "Look man, you're not a sports journalist, you're barely a commentator...just SHUT UP would you!"

Tony: "I can hardly commentate if I shut up."

Michael: "ABOUT THE...oh nevermind. LOOK, Rick Steiner has Pillman down, looks like that is locked in tight. Talk about that before I demonstrate it on you!"

Pillman was indeed down and Steiner was in total control, which continued on through a series of suplexes and a throw in to the corner. Pillman came flying back out of the corner and caught Rick, turning the match around briefly. This didn't last long as Steiner caught Pillman after an attempted springboard move and slammed him to the canvas.

Tony: "Hey Michael, out in the crowd...isn't that Dan Kroffat?"

Michael: "With his belt over his shoulder, MY BELT...yes, yes it is!"

After a while, Steiner had lifted a groggy Pillman on to the top turnbuckle and was about to hit a belly to belly when he noticed Kroffat out in the crowd. Rick instead slapped Pillman and dropped back down to invite Kroffat in to the ring, there was no movement.

Tony: "Both toying with the other, just what is the story there Michael?"

Michael: "No idea Tony and quite frankly could not care less dude."

Steiner had let the middle rope back up turned and been floored with a missile drop kick. Pillman waited, ran to the ropes again and drop kicked Steiner out the ring as he came back. Another pause and a baseball slide sent Steiner in to the ringside barrier.

Tony: "Steiner doesn't look good, Pillman is just standing back as the Referee counts."

Michael: "I'm no fan of Rick Steiner, but that man just does not stay down."

Tony: "8...9...10! That's it folks."]

{A video is shown pulling together various highlights from the build up to Don Muraco & Bundy vs Cactus & Andre. It ends with the arm of Cactus Jack breaking up through the sand.}

Tony: "Folks, this match is the culmination of months of conflict here in the UWF. Don and Andre were of course former stable mates or at least..."

Michael: "Sand Tony, he still had the sand on him when he arrived today. Can we get our announce position moved?"

Tony: "Where to?"

Michael: "Florida, Texas...anywhere's safer than here!" (B-)

Andre the Giant & Cactus Jack vs Don Muraco & King Kong Bundy

[uWF appeared to have hired new officals specially for this match as a wall of them cut the ring in two. Lou Albano attempted to jaw jack a bit with Don, but was pie faced by Bundy then ushered out to ringside by Mark Rocco.

Tony: "A lot of jostling going on in there."

Michael: "You could say a colossal amount, get it...colossal jostle...no...maybe someone at home will."

Tony: "There really is a lot of hate in there, UWF officials slowly getting it...oh, Les is down!"

Michael: "Larry is eyeball to eyeball with Muraco, even Bundy has backed off."

Tony: "Okay, it's calming down and it looks like...CHEAP SHOT!"

Don Muraco had made the first meaningful move, knocking Cactus to ringside as Andre and Bundy locked up. This saw the remaining officials head for the hills so to speak. Don followed Cactus out and they started a brawl that never got back in the ring. Meanwhile Andre and Bundy were grappling back and forward, ending up in a corner and trading whatever blows they could get off...chops, punches, slaps and a head butt each. Over their heads, you could just see Don and Cactus battling in to the crowd as Lou launched volleys of verbal abuse towards anyone he felt deserved it.

Tony: "It was never going to be a classic was it Michael?"

Michael: "No, but you don't need to have a 15 minute hold by hold match on the canvas to have a classic. This is great, mostly because they're all over the other side."

Andre was reeling slightly, but soon subdued Bundy with what looked almost like a choke hold. The Referee tried to admonish Andre and was pushed away, which led to Andre dropping Bundy to apologise. As the Referee and Andre were engaged, Bundy got to his feet and splashed both men in to the corner...though that also saw Bundy go down again briefly. The camera quickly switched to Don pulling Cactus forward on to a row of seats, Cactus just bounced back up and laughed in Don's face. Don slapped Cactus and got more laughter, before Cactus grabbed Don and hit a very iffy looking suplex. Lou appeared and laid in a few boots, which led to Cactus pulling him back and telling him to stay back.

Tony: "OH!!!"

Michael: "You mean, THONK! What a chair shot by Muraco!"

Tony: "You can't blame Lou, but if he hadn't distracted Cactus there."

Back in the ring, Bundy and Andre were grappling away again. This time in the centre of the ring, with blows following each other more and more slowly. Eventually Bundy would gouge Andre in the eye and then kick him in the mid-section, which sent Andre back in to the ropes and his arms became tied up. Bundy laid in a few kicks, then punches and paused.

Tony: "Andre needs some help, but who would get in there?"

Michael: "If EVER you've looked at the wrong guy Tony, it's now!"

The camera switched to show Don now grabbing Lou by the beard and pulling his face down towards his feet. Cactus appeared from nowhere and grabbed Don, running him along and in to the crowd barrier. Cactus looked up to see Bundy with a steel chair and Andre tied up. Not before Bundy had taken his first swing though, this one to the side of Andre. Cactus raced to the ring and took the chair from Bundy before turning and throwing it at him, connecting flush on the forehead. With Bundy down and a couple of officials now helping Andre, Cactus went back out to Don, picked him up and DDT'd him on the outside.

Tony: "Cactus looking in control here M...wait, where is he going?"

Michael: "You expect me to know what that madman is doing? He's...is that...it is..."

Tony: "He has a body bag folks, an actual body bag."

Cactus gave a bang bang and went over to Don, where he and now Lou tried to get Don in the bag. Lou would take a punch and go down, whilst Cactus and Don traded blows again until Don was on his knees. An elbow from a chair took Don down and Cactus laid the open bag over Don. Back in the ring, Bundy and Andre had started battling again. Blood pouring from Bundy's head and Andre looking almost as crimson as the blood ran down on to him. Suddenly, Bundy was seen tapping and it looked like Andre had some sort of arm bar on him.]

Winners: Andre the Giant & Cactus Jack

Overall: C

{Post-match, Andre didn't have time to celebrate as Bundy had grabbed the chair from earlier and smashed it down on to Andre's leg two or three times. Cactus looked over, which gave Don time to recover, crawl from under the body bag and make a hobbling break for it. Steve Williams ran to the ring and clotheslined Bundy off his feet then went to check on Andre. Cactus was about to go to the ring, but noticed Lou was still down so helped him instead. A few UWF officials appeared again, closely followed by medical crew. Bundy got to his feet and was ordered out of the ring, he just laughed and walked out before limping to the back. Williams helped Andre to his feet, but Andre went down again. Williams waved off the medical team's stretcher, but gestured for assistance. Eventually Williams helped Andre out the ring and, along with one of the medical team, walked him very gingerly to the back.} (B-)

UWF World Heavyweight Title - Final

Brian Pillman vs Larry Zbyszko

[Tony: "Sad to see such a legend leave like that, but it's Final time and we must move on."

We had the usual pre-match ritual of the belt being unveiled, Larry looked it over and wagged his finger at Pillman. The Referee called both men together for the handshake, with Pillman initially refusing. Larry didn't look too impressed and you could lip read Pillman saying "you sure?" just before he actually shook Larry's hand and then he patted Larry's left shoulder...bringing a slight wince from Zbyszko.

Both men stepped back, the Referee asked for the bell to be rung and Pillman immediately slapped Larry on the left shoulder. This sent Larry down to a knee, with Pillman going after the shoulder with two kicks and then diving across Larry and laying a few punches in. Larry managed to get out and up to his feet, but could only chop Pillman once and then he received another punch to the shoulder. Larry pushed Pillman away and was now totally focused on his left shoulder. Pillman came off the ropes with a dropkick and then went to the top rope. As Larry got back to his feet, Pillman lept off with a flying cross body and took the pinfall victory to become the first UWF World Heavyweight Champion.]

Pre-Fury Hour:

{Les Thatcher was sitting in the backstage office ahead of UWF's Fury Hour when he received a call from Mark Rocco.}

Les: "Hello."

Mark: "Hi Les, it's Mark."

Les: "Where are you?"

Mark: "At the offices, just catching up on everything and doing some filing."

Les: "Hahaha, Rollerball Rocco filing."

Mark: "Eff off! Anyway, that's not why I'm phoning...well, not the main reason. Herb's here!"

Les: "What?"

Mark: "Yeah, looks like he's been on an absolute bender. He threw a baseball bat at the door as I came in, started rambling about Mexico and...well you know the usual, they're listening garbage! I knocked him out and he's on the couch, though he's starting to stir again."

Les: "Knocked him out? He needs to be careful where he leaves his..."

Mark: "No, no, I decked him! One punch, down!"

Les: "Okay, so have you watched anything?"

Mark: "No, I'll get to it later and I suppose I'd better get Herb up to speed. Oh, no Mexicans tonight...although...hmmm..."

Les: "What do you mean no Mexicans tonight? We've got two here just n..."

Mark: "Three!"

Les: "Three? Lizmark, El Esque...ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh right. So, he's Mexican? How did you pull that off anyway? New Japan are in the NWA."

Mark: "No they're not, they left at the start of the week. I was on hold whilst calling NJPW, heard it all...the NWA is dying! Anyway, I asked if we could use the Black Tiger name and they gave me the okay. Plus yes, he's Mexican and didn't want to rely on his family name."

Les: "So, why no Mexicans?"

Mark: "Herb doesn't want them unless he can see..."

Herb: "MEXICANS..."

Mark: "Oh for f..."

Herb: "I phoned Hector, did he...darkness...the crossing guard knew me. Kept calling me the predator, he must know about..."

Mark: "Maybe it was perdedor! Les, are you hearing this?"

Herb: "Even the car park attendant...oh, oh, HE'LL KNOW! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURY HOUR...he made me say it, then...wack..."

Mark: "Herb...HERB...I'm on the phone to Les. Go and get yourself cleaned up, we need to be in New York on Saturday and we've got work to do."

Herb: "Leeeeeeees...no Mexicans, NO MEXICANS...can't trust them...I...did I hear NWA...bast..."

{Les could hear a door slam in the background.}

Les: "Right, he's gone then. Anything else? Did you hear about Brian?"

Mark: "No I didn't, but I'll wait until I've watched everything. I've just opened the mail, we could go through that. Okay, what do we have here...a letter from Telemundo approving the December show!"

Les: "Okay, we're good for that...replaces the Thunder Series taping."

Mark: "Oh crap...Nishimura's lawsuit was successful. Wrongful blah blah...69K!"

Les: "That's...oh come on, he was tested and failed. We'll need to park any new contract talks, I mean not including who we know alr..."

Mark: "Uhu...uhu...Les, I erm...I've just opened...wow...you know what, I'm not discussing these two contracts over the phone. We can talk on Saturday."

Les: "Brian mentioned something about Bret Hart, but...no, no...fine. Anything else?"

Mark: "Well, just one with a...oh shit...a Mexico post mark. Tijuana...would welcome the UWF...sadly, currently no venues would be suitable blah blah. Nothing to stop...hmm! Les, who was Larry phoning for Herb?"

Les: "I don't know, but I can ask him later and we can talk on Saturday."

Mark: "No, I think it's okay...there's a folder here. HERB...what's the Marina Arena?"

I'm sure the Universal Wrestling Federation will keep on going and maybe I'll be back. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">VIEWER INTERACTION</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Okay, I fully realise how difficult it is to get predictions etc on this diary. So, as a wee bit of a thank you to every reader, here's a wee bit of crowd participation. </p><p> </p><p>

SportsChannel America, as you'll see above, are unhappy with Brian Pillman not wanting to defend the UWF World Heavyweight Title on the Fury Hour, or indeed any SportsChannel America events. You might pick out of the call received from Herb that Jeff Ruhe would like SportsChannel America to have more involvement or receive more consideration. One very simple option would be for SCA to get exclusive rights to something, in return for a payment (evidently involves manipulation of costs in game). </p><p> </p><p>

So, simple options for a vote are as below:</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>1:</strong> SportsChannel America cover the production, hire and talent costs for Quarterly foreign major events through 1992 (probably Japan or Mexico). World Title defence guaranteed. This would see around 80K sunk in to the UWF funds after each Quarterly show, February being the first.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>2:</strong> SportsChannel America throw $1 million at the UWF, with the money to go on the Fury Hour being held abroad once a month and an associated major event (again Japan or Mexico) Title defence guaranteed for the event, World champ involved in the Fury Hour main event.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>3:</strong> SportsChannel America decide additional spend won't be forthcoming and instead insist the SportsChannel Television Championship is the main event title and defended on every Fury Hour with a 15 minute time limit.</p>
