Welcome to Wrestle-1 a company founded by the legendary Keiji Mutoh in Late May of 2013.

 

Wrestle-1 started with a lot of promise but by late 2016 the company was already beginning to suffer finical problems under the Mutoh leadership.

Things began to look up for Wrestle-1 when a terrible misfortune occurred, on the 12th of June 2017 Akira Taue passed away and the Japanese wrestling world was shaken up. Keiji Mutoh decided to leave his own company Wrestle-1 in the faithful hands of Kaz Hayashi in order to become the Head Booker of NOAH.

 

Under the leadership of Kaz Hayashi Wrestle-1’s fortune began to turn, audiences were up consistently, In-Ring performances had improved all round with the departure of some of Mutohs acquaintances as well as some fresh faces on the roster. the product was beginning to feel like it was finally reaching its potential.

 

This brings us to today, Sunday 30th of June, the day Wrestle-1 Hosts one of their biggest shows of the year “Pro Wrestling Love in Yokohama”!
