Entry for August 14, 2017. As the internet was excited to see Tetsuya Naito win his second G1 Climax and beat Kenny Omega, a lot of people didn't know about the behind the scenes deal that was going around. With his final G1 over with and now entering what might be his final year as a wrestler, NJPW announces that "Blue Justice" Yuji Nagata will be leading the promotion as head booker in place of Gedo.

 

This comes as a surprise as Gedo was doing an excellent job as booker. No comment from Gedo but we do know that Yuji Nagata will be taking more of a part-time role when it comes to in ring action.

 

With a new era, this is the perfect role for the former Ace of Shin Nihon. Let's see if the Anti-Aging Star is up to fill the gap as NJPW's head booker.

 

(Hello there people of this forum. As many of you know, NJPW are currently heading towards their major event of the year with Wrestle Kingdom 12 IRL. But I've had this save going on since the day after G1 Climax 27 finals. With the three destruction shows, KOPW, Power Struggle and all of World Tag League done with. My first show will be WK12 but just to give you all a summary of all the shows. I'll post them in the next few posts along with all the info needed for a diary like champs and etc.)
