jlemmen43
Thank you very much for posting this! It does help quite a bit. If you had the time and wouldn't mind elaborating on each one a bit more, that would be awesome as well. I understand if you dont though. I did have one question though about the ratings: I see that not too many ratings get much above 60. Does "50" mean average? or is the game staggered so that only the elite players are getting 80s and 90s and solid players are getting 70s ?? Just a bit confused because it seems like a lot of players have very low ratings. Maybe I'm just used of EA sports ratings too, lol. Thanks! st.cronin
What exactly does "hands" do for Offensive Linemen?
Arlie Rahn
Hands is more important for pass blocking, but it impacts how an OL uses his hands to keep DL off their shoulder and getting leverage. It's not a major impact, but it does impact their ability to pass block. There's a lesser impact on run blocking, which involves more strength and acceleration. udlb58
What exactly does "hands" do for Offensive Linemen? I'm guessing that would be their hand placement (technique) and their ability to hold blocks and not allow sacks.

Donners
I know absolutely zero about the sport, so this is a handy start to understanding the basics before playing the game. Now off to Wikipedia to find out what these positions are...
william1993
I made a player's guide that explains about the positions and what I think is necessary to perform well in the game. You can read it; I think it's stickied at the top of the forum
