Despite their menace and Teddy Long, their overness seems to be the slowest to increase, but feuding with the top tag teams hopefully will get them really over.</p><p> </p><p> Vader is a pure beast and a money maker. Flair is the only heel in WCW that's more over than Vader. Apart from the Triple Threat Match where The Guardian Angel was pinned by Sting; Vader's only loss so far is in UWFi against Nobuhiko Takada for the UWFi title, so he has steamrolled through the opposition. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Beejus" data-cite="Beejus" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44841" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Title vs. Career has me really intrigued, as Tenta should have plenty of legs still under him even after Hogan beats him. And I can't see any way that you actually give him the title. Unless maybe a count out or DQ loss for Hulk? I know you've already put Sting over the Quake, but there's still a lot he can do as a big, nasty monster. You've got my attention on this so much!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Tenta seems to be really easy to build as a monster heel. His overness in the U.S. is 89, but some workers are likely to be cut in 1995 to avoid stockpiling and to free up more spotlight to use all employed workers. Hopefully some workers end up being stolen by WWF. I need some spotlight for the Cruiserweight Division and for some new workers. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> One thing that i really like in this save is that some of the less popular workers that are disliked by the smarks are getting way over. The most popular tag team in WCW isn't Fire and Ice, Harlem Heat, The Steiners or Miracle Violence Connection. It's The Nasties. They're between 77-78 in overness and the maniac Kevin Sullivan that is being extremely stiff against all jobbers, his overness is 82. The WCW fans really seems to enjoy the hard-hitting garbage workers. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>1994 will be remembered for several huge stories</strong>. WWF head honcho Vince McMahon spent 3 weeks on trial for steroid conspiracy charges. Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan signed with Ted Turner's WCW, making the dream feud with Ric Flair come true. Ultimate Fighting Championship became strong PPV competition for the pro wrestling companies. Commentator Jim Ross was fired and rehired twice. Former WWF stars Hulk Hogan and Curt Hennig main-eventing Starrcade. "The Heir to Hulk Hogan" Lex Luger plummeting to midcard status in WWF. The Undertaker dying and being resurrected. Wrestling Icon Roddy Piper returning and no one caring. The Warrior touring with All Japan and winning the AJPW Triple Crown. Jesse "The Body" Ventura getting canned by WCW. Scott Norton becoming a megastar in the Far East by winning the IWGP World Heavyweight championship. Paul Heyman and ECW taking it to the Extreme by leaving the NWA and starting the Hardcore Revolution.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jim Cornette's SMW have been struggling and losing momentum lately</strong>, because key veterans as Dick Slater, Dory Funk Jr. and Terry Funk are sidelined from active competition due to long term injuries.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hulk Hogan vs. Vader is scheduled to headline SuperBrawl</strong>. The problem is Vader is a legitimate badass in WCW and the promotion is very protective of pushing Vader as "real" and he will have serious problems with the dominant monster heel doing a clean job to anyone, especially Hulk Hogan, the poster child of "fake" wrestling. As for the dream match itself, Vader is at his best when he has opponents that don't mind his stiff work and Hogan ain't gonna go for that.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>King Kong Bundy title win</strong>. The veteran began his first reign as WWF European champion last night, when he won the match against Bart Gunn to decide a worthy champion for the previously vacant title at Monday Night Raw. The title was previously vacated when The Underfaker (Brian Lee) lost his feud against The Undertaker and left the promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The wrestling promotions are concerned by the growth of UFC</strong>. Many experts feel that if UFC continues to gain popularity, the realism of it will make fans realize even more just how fake pro wrestling is. Others feel UFC is just a fad and that government regulations will eventually kill it. UFC's PPV buyrates are definitely worrying to both WWF and WCW. Japan is about 10 years ahead of America when it comes to wrestling trends and they've already dealt with situations like this back in the 80s, with the rise of UWF and UWFi which presented a more realistic, stiffer style and forced AJPW and NJPW to adapt to survive. Wrestling expert Dave Meltzer thinks that WWF will adapt and change first, because when WCW loses money, it comes from Ted Turner. But when WWF loses money, it comes directly from Vince McMahon's pocket and he's very serious about his bottom line. With Hogan running WCW, Meltzer doesn't think they'll change at all in 1995.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>In AAA Black Panther, La Parka and May Flowers began their first reign as Mexican National Trios champions</strong> last night, when they took the titles away from Mascara Sagrada, Angel Azteca and Blue Panther.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>UWA champion El Canek has been talking about retiring</strong>, because business in Mexico is so bad at the moment. Losing it's biggest draw would be a severe setback for UWA.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>HWA developement wrestler</strong> Glen Jacobs is expected debuting in WWF using the name Dr. Isaac Yankem, doing a Diesel-type gimmick where he's acting as Jerry "The King" Lawler's dentist and bodyguard; and no-selling everything. Expect Dr. Isaac Yankem to be part of Lawler's storyline with Tatanka.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Many fans have noticed that FMW wrestler Vampiro</strong> has noticeably bulked up recently, adding a lot of new muscle mass to his now-Light Heavyweight frame. He is believed to be hoping that by creating a new, more powerful look he will be able to take his career to new heights and end up a star in one of the major promotions.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>There's concern over the cat-squishing angle in SMW</strong> (with Boo Bradley, Chris Candido and Tammy Sytch) that was filmed, but hasn't aired on TV yet. There's concern that some of the TV stations might be upset by it.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Insiders claim that Diesel</strong> seems to be manipulating the WWF locker room against Mabel.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tully Blanchard is rumoured coming in to challenge Shane Douglas this week</strong>, with the idea being that Tully is another member of Ric Flair's posse and Douglas is basically fighting and beating anyone associated with Flair.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>FMW saw a title change last night</strong>, as the previously vacant FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team Championship was won by Masato Tanaka and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga by defeating The Headhunters.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>"The Madman from Sudan" Abdullah the Butcher</strong> has opened up a restaurant in the Atlanta area called Abdullah's House of Ribs and Chinese Food.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>It was confirmed last night that NJPW</strong>, about to embark on a new tour, have completed the signing of Road Warrior Animal. He will be joining them for the entire span of the tour, as NJPW hope the fresh faces will help draw more fans.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>A new King of Pancrase!</strong> Masakatsu Funaki began his first reign as Pancrase King of Pancrase champion last night, when he won the match against Shigeki Sato to decide a worthy champion for the previously vacant title at Pancrase 15. The title was vacated when Yoji Anjo decided to take time off training for an upcoming MMA fight. Pancrase 15 drew 3,359 fans and feedback has been that the show was awesome, with UFC star Ken Shamrock said to be the star of the show after defeating Masayuki Naruse in a excellent match.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>A Virginia newspaper did a story on Scott "Flash" Norton</strong>, who was quoted talking about how much better the wrestling business is doing in Japan as opposed to America. Norton also hinted that Hogan is looking for new big monsters to feud with and Norton fits the bill. But he also said that Hogan isn't going to want to work with someone who will stiff him.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AWF and ECW bad blood</strong>. If comment by Paul Alperstein and Paul Heyman are to be taken seriously, it looks like a new found hostility has emerged between AWF and ECW. Both owners have made disparaging comments about the other's company, and it looks like a bitter rivalry may be starting.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The peso in Mexico has lost a lot of its value in recent months</strong>, down 43% from the dollar in just the last two weeks, which makes promoting shows in the U.S. even more important for Mexican promotions like AAA or CMLL. This also gives U.S. promoters who want to use Mexican stars a lot more leverage.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Terri Runnels has signed a contract with WWF</strong> and is rumoured to be repacked as Marlena, a demanding Diva who manages a strong man who does all her dirty work for her.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW is planning to put together a cruiserweight tournament to crown the new WCW Cruiserweight champion</strong>, but it's been delayed for a bit because no one can seem to get their act together on it. Eric Bischoff was in Japan attending the New Japan Tokyo Dome show and is expected to try to bring in a couple of guys from there like Koji Kanemoto, Shinjiro Otani, Super Tiger, Wild Pegasus and IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion El Samurai for the tournament. Bischoff also has a deal with AAA's Antonio Pena to bring it a couple of their wrestlers like Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio Jr., Psychosis and La Parka.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Former NFL football player and muscular big heavyweight wrestler Tony Norris</strong>, known as Moadib in Global Wrestling Federation are expected to debut in WWF shortly as Ahmed Johnson. He is said to be limited in the ring, but equipped with major star quality and perfectly fits Vince McMahon's powerhouse mold.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hulk Hogan is meeting with TV producers this week</strong> to sell his idea of a Thunder In Paradise spin-off show called Thunderforce which would star himself, Sting, Mr. T, and a female martial artist as a four-person team that would all be equal co-stars. The show would also feature guest appearances by Ed Leslie, Jim Duggan, Brian Knobbs, Jerry Sags and Terry Szopinski.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW's financial losses are higher than ever this year</strong>. On paper, it doesn't look as bad since Hulk Hogan's salary comes from Ted Turner's pocket, but if you include that, WCW has loses of more than $6 million for 1994. Because of this, there is intense pressure on Eric Bischoff to cut about half a million from the payroll, so expect some heads to roll soon. As you can imagine, there's a lot of internal fighting over who's paychecks get cut or who gets let go.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Jean Paul Levesque wants to be a singles star</strong> and WWF has a reputation of being able to make stars almost out of nobodies, which is something WCW has almost never been able to do. So Levesque jumped ship to WWF and is rumoured to have befriended both Vince McMahon and his teen daughter Stephanie.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF star Diesel missed a few house shows last week</strong>, because his mother passed away.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Speaking of Diesel, there's already a lot of talk within WWF that he's not the answer to their problems as a top draw</strong> and that veteran Bob Backlund as a top star was a fiasco which is being blamed on Pat Patterson, who apparently pushed for Backlund to get a main event run. It's rumoured that WWF will eventually giving midcarder Shawn Michaels a run on top replacing both Diesel and Bret Hart.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Expect Kama "The Supreme Fighting Machine"</strong> to get a big push when he comes in because WWF wants to create a popular black superstar.</p>

The AI signings of Jake Roberts and Ricky Steamboat seems like two high class performers that could have great matches with "The New Generation". Rick Rude seems like another possible signing, since he is back during the spring of 1995.</p>

Personally, I can't even play TEW anymore without being the two/three big companies, depending on what year I'm into. If nothing else, it adds a whole new wrinkle when you are trying to keep two companies alive rather than one; there's more strategy when it comes to who you sign and where you sign them to. And it puts you in charge of who jumps ship, which makes the game universe a lot more your own.

Now they can be groomed a while by the regional companies and hopefully do some tours in Japan before signing with the either of the two big promotions.</p>

<p>Latest News from around the World</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Latest News from around the World</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>ECW Guilty as Charged report!</strong> Extreme Championship Wrestling held Guilty as Charged in Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placeid, New York and drews 6,306 fans. The feedback has been that the show was awesome. The MVP of the show was “The Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal….Death–Defying Maniac” Sabu that defeated rival 2 Cold Scorpio to retain the ECW World Heavyweight title. In the semi main event Johnny Grunge defeated Raven. The fans could also see The Tazmaniac defeat Mikey Whipwreck to retain the ECW World Television title.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>At the recent WCW/New Japan Supershow 4</strong>, WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff made an announcement that WCW and NJPW had reached an agreement to do more talent exchanges during 1995. Japanese fans weren’t impressed and one NJPW official was quoted as saying, “Our marks know more about wrestling than this guy (Bischoff).”</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NJPW’s next major show Collision in Korea</strong> is in April in North Korea and it’s likely some WCW stars will work that show as well.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Brain Damagers are the newest tag team force in ECW</strong>. The duo, consisting of Devon Storm and The Sandman was officially announced as being a regular team on air during last night’s ECW Guilty as Charged show when they went to a no contest with ECW World Tag Team champions Shane Douglas and Mr. Hughes.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Now that it’s become clear that Antonio Inoki</strong> won’t be indicted on any charges from his political scandals last year, Nippon TV that airs New Japan has lifted their ban on showing his matches.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Barry Windham is back from his injury</strong> and has signed a contract with WWF and is rumoured to be repacked as Blackjack Windham teaming up with Blackjack Bradshaw as The New Blackjacks. Windham and Bradshaw are rumoured to begin a feud with WWF World Tag Team champions The Smoking Gunns.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Weekly Pro Wrestling magazine in Japan is working on putting together a show featuring wrestlers from 11 different promotions</strong>. AJPW, NJPW, FMW, Michinoku Pro, WAR, UWFI, and more have all agreed to be involved. There’s also a push to get ECW involved. When WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff was in Japan, they asked about getting WCW involved as well. The problem is that Weekly Pro Wrestling magazine only wants a Hogan vs. Vader match, and that’s a huge political mess to make that happen. New Japan has rights to all WCW talent except Vader, who is a UWFi main eventer, so the two rival promotions would have to agree to allow it to happen. And then Vader would have to be convinced to do the job, because Hogan doesn’t job to anyone. And UWFI is unlikely to let Vader do a job to Hulk Hogan in Japan, since Hogan is the posterboy for “fake wrestling” and UWFi is a superior promotion with “real wrestling”.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>USWA tag team PG-13 (JC Ice and Wolfie D)</strong> will be given some spotlight in WWF as a part of talent exchange between USWA and WWF. The two white rappers will be feuding with Men on a Mission.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Dan Severn is huge in Japan right now after his recent UFC performance</strong> and UWFI has offered him a new contract and plans to push him as a main-eventer alongside Vader, Masakatsu Funaki and Nobuhiko Takada.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>We have a new champion in WWF</strong> as Razor Ramon defeated Samu for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at last nights Monday Night Raw.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The SMW angle where Chris Candido killed Boots the Cat</strong> was edited off show by the Atlanta TV station that airs it. The feud between fitness freak Chris Candido and simpleton Boo Bradley is gaining a lot of negative heat after Candido recently called Bradley a “big fat retard” and then hit a Flying Legdrop on poor Boots the Cats, who lay helpless in a burlap sack. Chris Candido and Jim Cornette has received several death threats from the animal rights movement.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>More Chris Candido news</strong>. Chris Candido and his girlfriend Tammy Sytch had a dark match as the babyface cheerleading squad, “Team Spirit” at the recent WWF tapings. Candido worked against jobber Barry Horowitz and looked to be very nervous and uncomfortable in the ring.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Boo Bradley is rumoured to be offered a WWF contract</strong> and pushed as Xanta Claus, Santa’s evil twin who steals presents from the children on Christmas Eve.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>USWA End Of The Trail Report!</strong> The promotion drew 6,834 fans at Carmichael Auditorium in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. “The Master and Ruler of the World” Sid Vicious began his first reign as USWA World Heavyweight champion last night, when he took the title away from Jerry “The King” Lawler at USWA End Of The Trail. Jerry Lawler managed ten successful title defences prior to this defeat. Jerry Lawler was said to be the star of the show. In the semi main event “The Ugandan Giant” Kamala defeated Doug Gilbert. On the card we also had The Eliminators defeating Simply Devine; and Brandi Alexander defeating Debbie Combs to retain the USWA Women’s Championship.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>In February, ECW will be holding a convention for “fans from the internet from across the country.”</strong> If the convention is successful ECW is planning a new show called ECW CyberSlam.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Rumour has it that USWA are planning to run a major Kamala vs. Jeff Jarrett storyline</strong> in the coming months. According to some inside sources, the rivalry will be on of the primary focal points of the shows for the forseeable future.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>ECW wanted to get Barry Windham to come in and face Shane Douglas</strong>, as another friend-of-Flair’s, but Windham signed with WWF and will debut as Blackjack Windham as part of The New Blackjacks tag team.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The WWF website was updated last night with the following news</strong>; “WWF have parted company with colour commentator Stan Lane and manager Luna Vachon after their contracts have expired. We wish them all the best in the future.”</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AAA and WCW are negotiating to do another PPV together in April</strong>. Due to the declining value of the peso, it’s in AAA’s best interest to try to expand into the United States.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>CMLL saw a title change last night</strong>, as Sangre Chicana lost the NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship to MS-1 at CMLL Super Viernes TV show. This victory marks his third reign with the title.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Van Hammer was arrested last week</strong> on 2 charges of possession of illegally prescribed drugs. The doctor who wrote the prescriptions was arrested as well. No details on what the drugs were. When contacted by a newspaper covering the story, WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff said Van Hammer hadn’t worked there in 2 years, despite a wrestler who looks just like him and has the same name, was on WCW TV just a few weeks ago.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>FMW saw a title change last night</strong>, as the previously vacant FMW Six Man Street Fight Tag Team Championship was won by Headhunter A, Mr. Gannosuke and Vampiro at a FMW Deadly Games Tour event.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW is rumoured considering using Sabu</strong> on a part-time basis for major shows, while allowing him to still work Japan and indies. But he wouldn’t be allowed to work on any other U.S. TV shows or in ECW, since there is a hostile relationship between Eric Bischoff and ECW owner Paul Heyman.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PWA Night Of Champions Report!</strong> Pro Wrestling America held PWA Night Of Champions last night in Unity Hall, Michigan, and drew 400 fans. The feedback has been awesome, the small company has outshone some of the bigger promotions’ recent efforts. Performance of the night belonged to New Jack after winning the annual PWA Iron Man Challenge tournament, with three successive wins, by defeating Rob Van Dam, Dirty White Boy and D-Von Dudley.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The 2-year anniversary episode of Monday Night Raw was unique</strong>. WWF appears to be trying to back to what worked in 1984, which is doing anything they can to be associated with celebrities. William Shatner was a guest on Jerry Lawler’s King’s Court segment and got to beat up Lawler. Later in the show, Shatner managed Bret Hart and beat up Jarrett’s sidekick The Roadie.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW star Curt Hennig has finally shrugged off the injury worries</strong> that have been effecting his performances recently. He is said to be in the best possible shape, and itching to get back into the squarred cirle withot having to work through the pain barrier.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>At the latest WWF TV tapings, several newcomers worked dark matches and had tryouts</strong>. UFC inspired Kama “The Supreme Fighting Machine” worked his first match against Thurman Sparky Plugg, and got no reaction. Spellbinder from USWA worked as well using the name “Phantasio” and got a decent reaction doing his pre-match magic tricks against Jim Powers. And Ron & Don Harris worked as The Blu Brothers and were managed by Dutch Mantel as “Uncle Zebekiah”. They also got little-to-no reaction.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>In a recent radio interview</strong>, WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff claimed that WWF mogul Vince McMahon was a fossil, and that WCW was the new number one.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Speaking of, Vince McMahon</strong> contacted the producers of Baywatch recently and discussed doing a wrestling-themed episode of the show featuring several WWF stars, but was turned down since the producers is also negotiating with WCW Executive Vice President Eric Bischoff and is close to a deal.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pamela Anderson from Baywatch</strong> will be at ringside for the Royal Rumble and will accompany the winner to the ring at WrestleMania XI.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>New WCW tag team The Power Company</strong> where noticed by WCW scout Kevin Sullivan and were flown down to Atlanta and did their first WCW TV taping against The Fantastics. Dave Power and Dean Power started their wrestling career in Cheshire, Connecticut in 1991 under the teacher Paul Roma.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF has released the subtitles for several upcoming PPVs</strong>: “Wrestlemania XI: Brawl in the Family,” “King of the Ring ’95: Rage in the Cage,” and “Summerslam ’95: The Undertaker…Alive!”</p>

They have been gambling in Vegas and partying with the hottest chicks and ride a limo to the arena.

They are brash, they are arrogant, and the fans either love them or love to hate them.

They're promising a Horsemen-style beating that Brian Pillman will never forget.

The Nasty Boys vs. Harlem Heat ©

Jerry Sags start off Clubbering away on Booker T. Stevie Ray runs into a Boot to take control. Brian Knobbs tags and after some more Clubbering. Stevie Ray pegs Knobbs as he comes off the ropes, distracting him long enough for Booker T to regroup and connect with a Standing Sidekick. The Heat put the boots to Knobbs. Booker T delivers the Axe Kick. Booker T misses a dive off the top and Spinaroonies up to his feet. Hot tag to Jerry Sags, he dumps Booker T out and looks to finish off Stevie Ray. As he looks to charge off the ropes, Booker T pulls the top rope down and Jerry Sags flies out to the floor and that will get you DQ’ed.

In a bout that had superb wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Nasty Boys defeated Harlem Heat in 9:59 when Harlem Heat was DQ'ed. Harlem Heat retains the titles.

© Hulk Hogan vs. John Tenta w/ Jimmy Hart

Hulk Hogan starts the match with a series of right hands, but "Big" John Tenta gets a few shots in to knock the fan favorite off his feet. Hogan is tossed to the mat and choked by the big man. Tenta Scoop Slams Hogan and drops an Elbow followed by a Legdrop. Hogan manages to kick-out on a cover, though.

Hogan battles back with right hands, but Tenta stops Hogan with Shoulder Rams in the corner. Tenta locks in a Bear Hug Hogan. Hogan breaks free, but is caught as he leaps off the middle rope. Tenta rams Hogan back into a corner. In the corner, Tenta rams his backside into Hogan’s midsection. Hogan tries to fight out of the corner and goes for a Scoop Slam, but the big man lands on top for a near win. Tenta steps on Hogan casually. Tenta drives his knee into Hogan’s midsection and hits a Splash in the corner.

Tenta lays into him with rights and Hogan is shaking it all off. Hogan really no-sells Tenta’s offense. Hogan does the big man knockover sequence of Shoulder Blocks with Tenta.

Jimmy Hart is sneaking around with his megaphone, looking for an opportunity to knock out Hogan. Hogan pulls it out of Hart’s hands. Hogan Gorilla Pressed Hart into Tenta. Tenta catches Hart and rams the weasel-like manager into Hogan in the corner. It stops Hogan’s offense.

Hulk Hogan looks to the right. Hulk Hogan looks to the left.

The Hulkamaniacs start to cheer...

Hulk Up Time!

“Damn it!” Heenan exclaims.

Hogan, shaking his fists, looks deep within himself and remembers what A Real American Hero is. The finger wag and the crowd goes nuts and he makes his big comeback!

Punch, Punch, Punch, Irish Whip, Big Boot and Leg Drop and it’s all over.

Show Rating: 98 A*

Comments: A great show rating despite several of the stars not wrestling on the show. Regal losing to Arn might be surprising, but The Four Horsemen needs some success and titles. I also wanted to keep Regal strong and not losing to a midcarder or comedy worker. We also had some wild hard-hitting brawls to gain some good heat for what to come at SuperBrawl and Uncensored. Brian Pillman and Steve Austin delivered a classic match and helped to advance the Randy Savage vs. Ric Flair storyline.

WWF needs something special in 1995 if they are gonna compete with Hogan vs. Vader and Savage vs. Flair. So their top workers like Bret Hart, Jake Roberts and Ricky Steamboat need to deliver some all-time classics, while they keep building "The Next Generation".

I like John Tenta, but both Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow are on the roster and fits long-term in the storylines and this is 1995 so someone huge will graduate from the WCW Power Plant. So Tenta is likely to move on to the rivals or back to Japan. The Hogan vs. Tenta match was the end of the "Hulkmania Runs Wild WCW" and start of the new less Cartoony WCW. While some comedy characters might be on the roster they probably will be in the midcard and not main eventers.

Expect some new fresh workers debut soon (one worker will be a big surprise and someone not pushed or signed in the other WCW diaries, but what do you do when he is a hidden gem with a fantastic destiny roll and he also has a WCW/NWA connection). Also look out for the hyped WCW Cruiserweight Title Tournament to kickstart in February.

<p>I see your reasoning, I'm still a little surprised to see Tenta jettisoned so quickly but I understand what you're saying. Too many huge monster heels means some of them can't get pushed and it makes all of them look a little weaker.</p><p> </p><p>

Maybe I missed an update somewhere along the line but who is this Toni who's running with Orndorff?</p><p> </p><p>

I may be a minority, but I actually think the Smoking Gunns vs. New Blackjacks would have been a pretty fun midcard Tag titles feud <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

In an unbelievable match, Hulk Hogan defeated John Tenta in a Title vs. Career match in 15:51 by pinfall with a Leg Drop. Hulk Hogan makes defence number 4 of his WCW World Heavyweight Championship title.

The match is over, and Hulk Hogan is celebrating.

The unstoppable 450 pounds monster heel Vader hops into the ring and goes nose-to-nose with Hulk Hogan. The fans erupted for this face off. Vader no-sells Hogan’s punches and beats him into the canvas clubbering blows. Vader then gives him a brutal Release Powerbomb.

YES! YES! YES! Heenan exclaims. Heenan is very happy...

The Armstrongs, Jim Duggan and Stars 'n' Stripes run in to save Hogan, but are immediately brutalized by the "Rocky Mountain Monster" and his devastating offense.

Then...

Sting then come out to save Hogan, but is also destroyed by Vader's brutal offense.

Finally Doug Dillenger, WCW Security and Police storm to the ring and Vader leave triumphantly, while Hogan gets medical treatment by the medics...

Heenan is very pleased. This is hopefully the end of Hulk Hogan and Hulkamania. It's a big grin on Heenan’s face as Hogan is removed on the gurney...

<strong>WWF Royal Rumble Report!</strong> World Wrestling Federation held WWF Royal Rumble last night at Huntington Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia, and drew 29.379 people. The feedback has been awesome, the show is getting fantastic reviews (89 A). In the main event that had superb wrestling and great heat, Bret Hart defeated Diesel in 28:37 by count out. Jake Roberts got the most eliminations over the course of the match; while Lex Luger set the record for surviving the longest. In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Razor Ramon defeated Shawn Michaels in 23:36 by pinfall with a Fallaway Slam following botched interference by Diesel. Schyster in 10:01 by pinfall with a Tombstone, but after the match The Million Dollar Corporation (Ted DiBiase, The Barbarian, I.R.S., King Kong Bundy and Kama) attacked The Undertaker and Paul Bearer and stole the urn.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The plans for the AAA PPV in April</strong> have been pushed back to June. Televisa is the parent company of AAA and they don't see AAA as a priority, so they're not rushing to meet with WCW and negotiate another PPV in United States. Wrestling experts claims that AAA is absolutely going to need the U.S. market this year, because the Mexican economy is tanking, so it's going to be vital for them to establish themselves in the United States.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WCW-contracted Swedish grappler Frank Anderson</strong> pleads guilty in his home country on charges of purchasing and using the steroid Geretropin, a form of Human Growth Hormone (HGH). In a decision that raises more than a few eyebrows within the industry, WCW management neglects to discipline Anderson.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Randy Savage has done a lot of radio interviews lately</strong>, hyping WCW shows. On Mike Tenay's radio show, several callers confronted Savage about his comments last year where he insulted Hulk Hogan and called WCW the minor leagues. Savage said he and Hogan patched up their issues and that anywhere he wrestles is the major leagues and thus, WCW is now the major leagues, while WWF is the minor leagues.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>XWF Battle Royale Report!</strong> Xcitement Wrestling Federation held XWF Battle Royale last night in Stegeman Coliseum, in Athens, Georgia and drew 9.119 fans. The feedback has been great, it has drawn a lot of praise. The Nasty Boys was said to be the stars of the show. Jimmy Snuka won the big 30-man Battle Royale, while Ed Leslie defeated Bob Orton Jr. To retain the XWF Heavyweight title. The fans also saw Chris Kanyon defeating Black Abyss to retain the XWF Cruiserweight title.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>7'1, 440-pound Paul Wight was backstage at a recent WCW house show</strong> and may be hired by the company and offered a spot in the WCW Power Plant.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF wrestler Brian Adams gets ripped</strong>. New pictures have emerged showing that Brian Adams has been working extremely hard in the gym. Boasting an incredible ripped new physique, the 32 year old is said to be sure that his increased muscularity will have a positive impact on his career.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tony Schiavone is reportedly paranoid that WCW is going to re-hire Jim Ross</strong> and that he will lose his job, and is being very difficult to work with because of it. But rumours says that Bill Shaw never forgave Ross for double-crossing WCW by bringing Vince McMahon onto their radio show after he left the company in 1993, so it's unlikely Ross ever had a shot at coming back anyway.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>CMLL saw a title change last night</strong> at CMLL Domingos Arena Mexico, as Hector Garza lost the NWA World Middleweight Championship to El Hijo Del Santo.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>At a recent Raw taping, a weightlifter came in and ran off King Kong Bundy.</strong>The guy's name is Mark Henry and it happened during a commercial break.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Candido will likely be brought in by WWF as a Mighty Mouse-type babyface</strong>, because despite his small size, he's actually deceptively strong.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>It's rare that we see a genuine "five star" match</strong>, but last night certainly delivered in a big way when Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa defeated Akira Taue and Johnny Ace to retain the AJPW Unified World Tag Team titles in the main event of a AJPW Showdown Tour event.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Former pro wrestler Woody Strode passed away at age 80 from lung cancer</strong>. His story was covered in Sports Illustrated. Strode was far more famous as a movie star, but he worked as a pro wrestler in the 1940s through 60s. Even after he made it big as an actor, he never forgot his wrestling roots and regularly kept in contact with many in the wrestling industry until his death.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Brian Armstrong begain his first reign as SMW Beat the Champ Television champion</strong>, when he won the match against his father "Bullet" Bob Armstrong in a "Passing of the Torch Match" to decide a worthy champion for the previously vacant title. The title was vacated when the previous champion Dick Slater was injured.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Legendary 60s star Ray Stevens suffered a stroke over the weekend</strong> and was hospitalized. Stevens is considered the Ric Flair of his era and is known for his famous tag team with Pat Patterson called the Blond Bombers.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Now clearly a muscular Light Heavyweight</strong>, WCW lower midcarder Nasty Ned has noticeably bulked himself up with a lot of new muscle mass recently. It is said he is hoping that this more impressive new look will help boost his career to a whole new level.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PWA wrestler New Jack was arrested after a show in Michigan</strong> after punching a 14-year-old fan in the crowd that was heckling him. When police officers came to intervene, he shoved the cops. He was arrested on 2 counts of assaulting an officer, 1 count of assault on a minor, and 1 count of disorderly conduct and was released on bond.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>At the latest WCW Saturday Night tapings newcomer Konnan</strong> was antagonising veteran Bobby Eaton so much that a fight broke out and they had to be pulled apart. WCW fined Konnan hoping to improve his behaviour.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon was interviewed in an AP story this week</strong> and had the following quote on Hulk Hogan going to WCW: "I don't care how skinny he became or how much hair he lost, he always had that one good match left… He could be 20 steps behind as long as he still maintained that persona, as long as he was in good stead with everyone. He should have left a legacy here that was built, that could have lasted… He used to say, 'Hulkamania will live forever.' Well, it could have. But that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted to be in the spotlight. Ego, I believe, got the best of him, and he wanted to be in the spotlight more than ever."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Vince McMahon also was quoted on WCW owner Ted Turner</strong>: "Ted Turner is throwing away stockholders' money at this because this is the only business enterprise in which Ted Turner's butt is kicked every single day. He can go buy whatever he wants, the Goodwill Games and whatever to assuage his own personal ego, but the amount of money that he and his stockholders are losing over this wrestling enterprise, WCW, is astronomical. He just has this personal thing, vendetta, call it what you will, that he wants to drive us out of business and it's just not going to happen."</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bam Bam Bigelow and Shane Douglas are no longer friends</strong>. According to inside sources, the friendship has become very strained, to the point of no longer existing.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF star Diesel was interviewed on a talk show recently</strong> and talked about using steroids during the 80s up through his time in WCW and said that everyone in WCW used them and if you didn't, you had no chance of moving up through the ranks. He also said WWF's testing is legit and no one is on steroids there.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Tom Brandi and Paul Roma have joined WWF</strong> and will be working under the name Flip and Zip managed by Sunny (Tammy Sytch). Flip and Zip will be a new tag team called The Bodydonnas using the "Perfect Body" gimmicks.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The future isn't looking good for Jim Crockett's new NWA promotion in Dallas</strong>. He's been unable to get a TV deal in the city and crowds are falling because of it. When he came in, he also promised clean finishes and no more of the ex-GWF wrestlers, because he wanted to give the new promotion a totally separate feel from GWF. But at the latest show, much of the talent was ex-GWF cast-offs and 4 of the 5 matches had screwjob endings.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Shane Douglas began his first reign as IWCCW Heavyweight champion</strong> last night at IWCCW There Can Be Only One, when he took the title away from Rick Martel.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mark Madden got into some more trouble on the WCW 900 hotline this week</strong>. Madden made mention of the possibility of Vader shooting on WCW World Heavyweight champion Hulk Hogan during their upcoming match at SuperBrawl V, which upset Eric Bischoff. He also talked about Lex Luger leaving WWF to come to WCW. He was later reprimanded by Bischoff.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Last Night's WrestleReunion I</strong> was held in Crawford Hall, California and drew 1.632 fans to support a good cause with most of the proceeds going to charity. The organisers have already said that they are looking forward to making next year's version even bigger and better. Jerry Lawler and The Equalizer defeated The Amazing French Canadians in the main event. In the semi main event Jeff Jarrett defeated Ed Leslie.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWF superstar Diesel</strong> is doing new Slim Jim commercials.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The NWA World Light Heavyweight title</strong> changed hands last night, as Mano Negra became the new champion, ending the reign of MS-1 at the very first hurdle at CMLL Super Viernes.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>William Shatner apparently rubbed people the wrong way backstage at Raw</strong> last week, with several of the wrestlers saying he was acting stuck up.</p>
