The latest "Ultimate Surprise" news! With Hulk Hogan trying to recreate his Hulkamania peak, by bringing with him all of his old cronies and favourite foes like Jimmy Hart, Randy Savage, Brutus Beefcake, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, John Tenta, Brian Blair and many more, obviously he'd have loved to have added The Warrior to the mix too, but with WCW under pressure to keep their spending under control, he seems to be out of their price range.

Segments of the latest Monday Night Raw were filmed by "MTV Sports," hosted by Dan Cortese. During the episode, Cortese was shown training in the ring before the show with WWF World Champion Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, and Ricky Steamboat. Later in the show, Cortese was kicked out of the heel locker room after having a confrontation with Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Jeff Jarrett, Jake Roberts and others.

Brian Adams known as Crush in WWF was arrested in his native Kona, Hawaii, on illegal drug possession and illegal handgun possession charges. A search of his home had turned up several illegal handguns, as well as large quantities of marijuana and anabolic steroids.

Business-wise, the Hulk Hogan vs. Vader feud has the potential to be the most successful in WCW's history so far. The buyrate for SuperBrawl V is reportedly just below the record-setting buyrates that the Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair angle did. A lot of fans despise Hulk Hogan and say he's killing the promotion, but numbers don't lie and the fact is, he's bringing in more money to WCW than they've ever had before. So expect WCW to do big business on the hyped feud when Hulk Hogan returns in September to settle the score with the "Rocky Mountain Monster". A WarGames match between Team Hogan vs. Vader w/ The Stud Stable could be a "Potential Money Maker".

Rob Van Dam previously known as Robbie V in WCW has been impressive working the recent AJPW tour and is expected to become a regular for that promotion soon. Van Dam is amazingly agile, a great high flyer and one of the best all round talents emerging on the U.S. indy scene.

In USWA, they're doing an angle with the real-life mothers of Tommy Rich and Wolfie D of PG-13. It looks to be leading to a match between the two moms. Tommy Rich's mom cut a great promo, saying that the best day of her life was when Tommy was born, but when Wolfie D's mother gave birth to her son, she was immediately arrested for littering.

At a recent indie show, a fan sprayed "The Homicidal Suicidal Genocidal Death-Defying Maniac" Sabu in the face with mace.

This spring may be the busiest in wrestling history in terms of major shows, with WCW's Uncensored, WWF's Wrestlemania 11, Inoki's North Korea show, UFC 5, AAA's TripleMania 3, NJPW's Fukuoka Dome show, and several other major shows in Japan and elsewhere all happening within the next several weeks. The North Korea shows will be 2 shows on consecutive nights and will likely break the Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant All-Time attendance record.

Toys-R-Us has decided not to carry any WWF or WCW merchandise due to outside pressures from all the scandals that continue to plague the business.

Vampiro, Mr. Gannosuke and Headhunter A began their second reign as FMW Six Man Street Fight Tag Team champions last night, when they took the titles back from Ichiro Yaguchi, Jason The Terrible and Leatherface in a match that some said crossed the line and was sickening in its brutality.

Bull Pain began his first reign as SMW Beat the Champ Television champion last night at Sunday Bloody Sunday, when he won the match against Scott Armstrong to decide a worthy champion for the previously vacant title. The title was vacated when the previous champion Brian Armstrong moved to WWF to become Jeff Jarrett's "Roadie".

Joshi wrestler Jaguar Yokota held a press conference last night announcing the formation of her own promotion Big Japan Pro-Wrestling. She revealed that she had big plans for the new company. The "Blood, Guts and Groceries" promotion follows in the footsteps of organisations such as Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling and International Wrestling Association of Japan, who helped popularise a hard-hitting, violent and bloody style of wrestling known as the Deathmatch. These matches are usually weapon filled, using both "conventional" weapons (such as chairs and tables), as well as "extreme" weapons not usually seen in mainstream wrestling, and previously unused in wrestling at all.

Extreme Championship Wrestling held ECW Living Dangerously last night in front of 8,100 at Sun National Bank Arena in New Jersey. The feedback has been that the show was awesome despite the promotion missing several stars due to injuries and ongoing Japanese tours.

ECW continues showcasing exciting Mexican Luchadors, Japanese Juniors and North American Cruiserweights despite constantly being raided by World Championship Wrestling. In a fast-paced Three-Way Dance; Ultimo Guerrero defeated EZ Money and Takashi Okano.

The storyline between "Hardcore vs. Anti-Hardcore" proceeded as "The King of Old School" Steve Corino made hardcore worker Hack Myers submit to the Cobra Clutch and later ended up in a heated arguement with color commentator "The Hardcore Icon" Terry Funk that made the ECW fans almost go into a riot mood. Corino recently brough in Bobby Duncum Jr. and Joe Malenko as part of his "The School Of Tradition" stable. In the next match Joe Malenko defeated Mikey Whipwreck by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf.

The Eliminators defeated Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks and Bad Crew in a Three-Way Dance match when Saturn defeated Bad Crew #2 by pinfall with a Total Elimination.

In a storyline segment fan favorite "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert did eat a Chokeslam from 911 after a heated confrontation with Paul Heyman and his new Dangerous Alliance (911, Sabu and Rob Van Dam). Gilbert was kayfabe injured which makes him miss tonight's main event. The Sandman will replace Gilbert in the main event.

Newcomer and Triple Threat member Chris Candido defeated Devon Storm by pinfall with a Superplex.

Powerhouse duo The Pitbulls got their revenge and defeated newcomers The Dudley Boyz in a bloody and hard-hitting Street Fight match, when Pitbull #1 defeated D-von Dudley by pinfall with an Aided Superbomb. After the match, The Pitbulls puts The Dudleys through a table.

In "The Match of the Night" that had hard-hitting action and great heat, fan favorites Public Enemy defeated The Bruise Brothers in a Tables match. Public Enemy make defence number 3 of their ECW World Tag Team Championship titles.

In a tag team match Raven and his henchman The Killdozer for Hire defeated Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards, when Raven defeated Stevie Richards by pinfall with an Evenflow DDT following interference by The Eliminators.

In the main event, Sabu defeated The Sandman and Shane Douglas in a Three-Way Dance match, when Sabu defeated The Sandman by pinfall with an Arabian Facebuster. Sabu makes defence number 12 of his ECW World Heavyweight Championship title.

The show ended with a Dangerous Alliance Promo with Paul Heyman insulting Eddie Gilbert and the ECW fans; while hyping his new main event calibre client that is yet to debut. The client is rumoured to be one of major free agents available.</div>

Prior to the match, DDP stated that he hurt his arm warming up and that Max Muscle will be his replacement.

Norton was clearly going to beat Max Muscle, but DDP kicked Norton’s legs from under him and Muscle won. Bockwinkel orders that the arm wrestling match will be restarted.

Uncensored looks like it's going to be very good! Way better than any of the real shows of the same name ended up being.

The plan is to use gimmick matches and stipulations for Uncensored to offer something fresh and unique. The only setback is the yet to be announced challenger for Ric Flair's U.S. Title due to various injuries and rejected loans/trades. The match will probably still be very good, but the original plan was to use Flair to elevate an international worker and make him an upper midcarder or main eventer in the U.S.

More "Ultimate Surprise" news! As negotiations between WCW and The Warrior recently did break down, it seems that WCW instead will choose the cheaper option by taking young, muscular independent wrestler Rick Wilson, who have an Ultimate Warrior inspired look and make him into a carbon copy of The Warrior by dressing him up in similar gear, painting a Red and Yellow “R” on his forehead, and calling him “The Ultimate Renegade”. Rick Wilson is currently working in Japan as Rio, Lord of the Jungle.

Crush was fired by WWF this week after being arrested on drug and gun charges in Hawaii. Brian Adams was arrested after an 8-day investigation that started when authorities intercepted a package meant for him that contained 500 units of anabolic steroids. Police searched Crush's home and found several unregistered handguns and other drugs, including marijuana and he was booked on 5 gun charges and 7 drug charges. Even though he hasn't been used in months and was basically being paid to sit at home, WWF fired him immediately.

The latest episode of WWF Monday Night Raw featured footage from the previous night's "March Magic" fundraiser in New York City by the Magic Johnson Foundation and Robin Hood Foundation to fight AIDS, with appearances by Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Pat Riley, Diesel, Lawrence Taylor, the 1-2-3 Kid, Magic Johnson, Patrick Ewing, Razor Ramon, The Undertaker and Paul Bearer. The fundraiser raised over $50,000.

The lastest episode of WWF Monday Night Raw included a vignette promoting Salt-N-Peppa appearing at WrestleMania in which they talked about how attractive they thought Diesel, Razor Ramon, and Bret Hart are.

WWF held a press conference announcing Lawrence Taylor would be participating at Wrestlemania 11 and it was a major publicity home run. Media outlets all over the world covered the story and it's the most publicity a mainstream athlete has gotten for wrestling since Muhammad Ali faced Antonio Inoki in 1976. However, it's not so great for Lawrence Taylor, who has been absolutely crucified by the sports media for taking part, with basically every media outlet talking about how "fake" and "scripted" pro wrestling is and saying it's beneath a future football Hall of Famer to go be a pro wrestler.

This actually isn't Lawrence Taylor's first foray into wrestling, as he worked an angle for WCW in 1991, but of course, WWF isn't acknowledging that.

Several media sources are claiming that NFL star Lawrence Taylor is making $500,000 for the Wrestlemania match versus Kama "The Supreme Fighting Machine", but no one knows for sure because there's apparently a non-disclosure clause in the deal and Taylor isn't talking. Media have claimed Taylor is doing it because he has financial problems, which he's denied. WWF also managed to get several other NFL football players to agree to do the show and be in Taylor's corner for the match including Steve "Mongo" McMichael.

The same day as Wrestlemania, Japan will be holding a huge show at the Tokyo Dome, featuring wrestlers from 13 different promotions. They won't be working together. Each match will be from a different promotion and they will all be putting their best foot forward, hoping to present a match that will show why their promotion is the best.

WWF has taken WCW's bait and decided to also add 4 new In Your House PPVs to their schedule this year, bringing their schedule up to 9 PPVs for the year, equal with WCW. The additional WWF PPVs will actually be cheaper than usual, only $14.95 which comes as a major surprise since higher prices haven't kept people from buying PPVs in the past. So offering the new events at a cheaper price probably leaves money on the table and makes it seem like these events aren't as important.

More on Eric Bischoff meeting with K-1 in Japan. He attended a K-1 show and discussed promoting a June PPV which would be like UFC, but have a few more rules thrown in and would feature K-1 fighters and presumably some WCW stars like Meng, Frank Andersson and Craig Pittman as well.

Paul Heyman sent a letter to rival promoter Dennis Coraluzzo threatening a lawsuit, claiming Coraluzzo has been trying to sabotage ECW by contacting venues that they have booked and trying to steal the dates from them or getting the venues to cancel by claiming ECW shows are too wild for the building owners to risk holding.

WWF had made a deal with Rick Martel to work as the top babyface in the Montreal market, but the deal fell through. Montreal is currently WWF's hottest market and the plan was for Martel to work matches at every taping as a babyface and those matches would only air on TV shows in Montreal and eventually lead to big angles every time WWF comes through town. But Martel backed out for reasons unknown

Jesse "The Body" Ventura has filed a new lawsuit against WWF, asking for $254,000 in interest on top of his original awarded payment from last year which WWF is still currently appealing and hasn't yet paid.

Both Shane Douglas and Michael Hayes received tryouts to co-host Raw, but Douglas reportedly doesn't want to do it, so Hayes is the likely front-runner.

WWF star Davey Boy Smith has been sued for $1.3 million over a fight in a Calgary bar back in 1993. The victim claims Smith attacked him after he unknowingly danced with Smith's wife. The victim suffered permanent brain damage in the attack after hitting his head on the floor and was hospitalized for over a month and still has significant loss of motor skills and speech. The criminal trial for the case is expected to go to court in June.

WCW would no doubt be interested in bringing in Yokozuna, so that Hogan can get his win back, but can they afford to bring in more big money players at the moment. Yokozuna has been on hiatus since the last episode of WWF Monday Night Raw in December of 1994 and his future with the WWF is a major question mark.

CMLL saw a title change last night at CMLL Domingos Arena Mexico, as Dos Caras lost the NWA World Welterweight Championship to El Dandy. This victory marks his third reign with the title. Dos Caras managed nineteen successful title defences prior to this defeat.

AJPW saw a title change last night during the AJPW Deadlock Tour, as Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa lost the AJPW Unified World Tag Team titles to Akira Taue and The Viking (John Nord). This victory marks their first reign with the titles. Kobashi & Misawa managed nineteen successful title defences prior to this defeat.

AJPW launched a new tag team onto the scene last night, as youngsters Richard Slinger and Jim Steele were officially announced as being a regular team and are expected to get a decent push to begin with.

Bad news came in for the fans of Keiji Mutoh last night, as it is reported that he sustained a Cracked Sternum during a New Japan match against Toshiaki Kawada and that he will be required to take some time off in order to heal. Rumours has it that The Great Muta was booked to get a title shot at the WCW United States title at Uncensored, and that Eric Bischoff is currently looking for a new opponent to challenge Ric Flair. Apparently Eric Bischoff is negotiating with both New Japan and AAA trying to secure a loan of a international superstar that could replace The Great Muta and challenge Ric Flair.

AAA TV will now also be showing on SportsChannel Bay Area, as revealed in a AAA press release last night. The deal sees the show expand its potential audience and is seen as a cause for celebration in the AAA offices.

The FMW Brass Knuckles Tag Team Championship changed hands last night at a FMW Deadly Game Tour event, as Gosaku and Horace Boulder became the new champions, ending the reign of Masato Tanaka and Mitsuhiro Matsunaga after eight title defences.

XWF saw a title change last night at an House Show, as The Nasty Boys lost the XWF Tag Team titles to Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Ed Leslie. This victory marks their first reign with the titles. The Nasty Boys managed five successful title defences prior to this defeat.

Pancrase Hybrid Wrestling held Pancrase 17 last night in Hiratsuka City Gymnasium, and drew 3,405 fans. The feedback has been that the show was awesome. Performance of the Night belonged to Ken Shamrock after challenging Masakatsu Funaki for the King Of Pancrase title in the main event.

Crowd's hot and the match has a ton of energy and drama! Rick Steiner drops Austin throat first across the top rope and tags in. Steiner barks in the air and ran in circles as Austin is selling like crazy. Rick Steiner uses a wide array of Suplexes to destroy Austin. Curt Hennig tags in and kicks Rick in the corner. Hennig used a combo of power moves, more agile attacks, and submission holds to take control of the match. "Dog Faced Gremlin" manages to make the tag and Scott Steiner enters and Suplex Hennig all over the place. Sting and his old foe Ric Flair gets in the ring. Sting Chop Blocks Ric Flair’s knee. Flair is begging for mercy. He wants no more. Sting goes for the Scorpion Deathlock, but Ric Flair gives him a kick in the groin to give The Four Horsemen the advantage. Ric Flair sends Sting to the floor where Austin rams Sting into the ring apron back first. Austin slams Sting after taunting the fans by pantomime crying. Austin is a arrogant jerk who so blatantly lies, cheats, and steals every victory. Back in the ring Sting ducks a Clothesline and they drop after a Double Clothesline. Rick Steiner gets the tag and hammers away on Austin. Rick hits a Back Suplex on Austin, but Hennig breaks the cover up. All six men are brawling in the ring and the heels are rammed into each other. In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Sting and The Steiner Brothers defeated Ric Flair, Curt Hennig and Steve Austin in 16:19 when Steve Austin intentionally got disqualified while fighting Sting. E used to help elevate a team. With Lightening Express, High-Rollers, Badd Company, and even the Power Twins or new Super Assassins, you have the makings of a quality 2nd tier group of tag teams</div></blockquote> I always thought it was kind of a mistake not to elevate the NWA/WCW U.S. Titles in WCW. The belt had much more history within the Crockett territory than the NWA Heavyweight -- and the prominence, at least, was unique to the Mid-Atlantic. Because the NWA didn't recognize one United States Champion, the belt wasn't tied to NWA like the WCW/NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Even though WCW did run outside the States, the States remained their primary home. Any foreign talent that takes it has a ready-made storyline with heat -- either claiming their country is superior to America, or have an American heel claim a foreign-born champion can't hold it. You could always book a Bret Hart like-tweener champion and have them work heel in the states and face in their home country. You could always have an international or intercontinental/european title and use it to elevate foreign talents.

I'm back from vacation in Central Europe, so you could expect Uncensored to be posted tomorrow. Followed by the weekly news and WCW Worldwide the coming days.

I resigned from ECW so the AI will book them from now to speed it up. So the focus will be on WCW and to keep WWF competitive for the upcoming Monday Night Wars. Not sure how long i will book WWF, but probably until 1999 or something like that since i'm didn't pay much attention after the RL Death of WCW.

You can expect some upcoming surprises and shake ups of the WCW and WWF rosters during the spring to keep both promotions fresh and competitive until Hulk Knows WCW Best III - Hostile Takeover [1996]. So expect the war to really begin in 1995 and then go to the next level in 1996.

And just to rub it in, Bam Bam mocked The Warrior's chest routine! Vader follows Sting, but Sting reverses a Whip into the Cage that puts Vader almost into Harley Race’s face. A big Clothesline sends Vader down into the mat. Vader is seems to be bleeding after crashing head first into the cage. The explosive and athletic bodybuilder Sting attacks with explosive power wrestling and the crowd goes crazy! He beats up Vader every which way until Vader stands tall during a Sting Leapfrog and hurts Sting’s knee. We look over at Bobby "The Brain" Heenan who tries to hold back a smile... Here comes Vader. Body Attack connects. Vader Bomb connects and the crowd goes wild! Tony Schiavone talks about Sting’s big knee injury in 1990. Vader smells blood and works the injury. Vader is unleashing a devastating offense on Sting. Meanwhile The Warrior gets cocky and tries a Slam, which fails and Bam Bam falls on him. Bam Bam is punishing The Warrior with his formidable power game. A Running Splash lands, followed by a Vertical Suplex and a Bam Bam Sault. Vader trips himself up on the top rope and falls to the mat. Sting hits a Judo Chop from the middle rope and jars his knee some more. He slams Vader and that proves too much for his knee. A Vadersault misses! Vader ducks a Clothesline and gives Sting a Chokeslam! Vader corners Sting again for another hellish beating and then gives him a Suplex. Bam Bam takes a shot at The Warrior and he no-sells. Bam Bam splashes The Warrior and hits a Suplex. Out of nowhere The Warrior hits a Flying Splash for 1-2-NO! Bam Bam controls the match with a barrage of Punches. He Lariats The Warrior a couple times. Bam Bam lands a explosive Powerslam on The Warrior. The Warrior enter a berserker rage and proceed to beat up Bam Bam Bigelow. A punch, two Clotheslines, and a Running Splash. Vader counters Sting's offense with a Body Attack. Vader Bomb connects. Sting is bleeding after crashing head first into the cage. Sting settles for a Sleeper Hold on Vader since he's struggling with the impact moves. Bam Bam throws a brutal Clothesline that levels The Warrior. Bam Bam lands a couple of Lariats, a Slam and a Diving Headbutt. Bam Bam splashes The Warrior. The Warrior jumps up and charges Bam Bam with fists! The Warrior enter another berserker rage and proceed to beat the ever-loving crap out of Bam Bam Bigelow. After a few punches, Bodyslam, and a Flying Tackle, The Warrior did the Warrior Splash on Bam Bam going for the pinfall. Meanwhile, Sting fires back on Vader until he staggers off the Cage into Sting’s knee. Sting avoids a corner charge and goes for a Slam, but his knee gives out for good. As Vader beat up Sting. Sting hits a Stinger Splash and goes for the Scorpion Death Lock, but Harley Race distract him and stuns him with a Cattle Prod while the referee is distracted by Colonel Parker. Vader sends Sting crashing into the cage and finish him off with the Release Powerbomb just as The Warrior is going to pin Bam Bam Bigelow. YES! YES! YES! Heenan exclaims. Heenan is very happy... In a bout that had sensational wrestling and fantastic heat, Big, Bad, and Dangerous defeated Sting & The Warrior in a Caged Heat match in 20:10 when Vader defeated Sting by pinfall with an Release Powerbomb after Harley Race interfered with the Cattle Prod. The Warrior gets beaten down afterwards as the two behemoths destroys him with hard-hitting offense, a Release Powerbomb and some Splashes. Eventually a number of officials and other wrestlers have to hit the ring and pull Big, Bad and Dangerous away before they kill their opponents. Rating: 96 A* Heenan is very pleased. This is hopefully the end of both Sting and The Warrior. It's a big grin on Heenan’s face as Sting and The Warrior is getting medical treatment... </div><div style="text-align:right;">Show Rating: 100 A*</div> Comments: So Johnny B. Badd leaves WCW. The reason for this is going to be explained in the upcoming News post. Actually i like the "Mr. Wonderful" gimmick and have some future feuds planned for him. Orndorff is actually also a mentor of Ice Train which really helps his developement. Bagwell was pretty much a backup option for Arn, due to Regal being promoted to the US title match when The Great Muta was injured and New Japan declined more loans and trades. Bagwell is developing nicely, but will continue a while in the tag team division before going solo. The Steiners vs. Harlem Heat had a great match, which still makes The Steiners look strong due to the tainted loss. Working with established top teams like The Steiners and Miracle Violence Connection will hopefully do wonders for Harlem Heat and Fire and Ice. The Nasty Boys vs. Kevin Sullivan & One Man Gang had an insane Hardcore match scoring 92 A, which was a pleasant surprise while continuing shaping the future Hardcore Division. This is going to be a classic when it comes to stiff and sloppy garbage wrestling. Maybe even Dave Meltzer will like this one despite featuring The Nasties. The King Of The Road Match scored a good rating and The Blacktop Bully got his post-match revenge. The outcome of this will be explained later in a News post. Fire and Ice vs. Miracle Violence Connection scored a good rating and i want the champs to have some more title defences before the next title change. So expect Fire and Ice to do quite a few title defences during the upcoming European Tour. Ray Traylor and Meng had a pretty good brawl continuing their feud with Traylor taking the win due to Baseball Bat On A Pole Match being his specialty. The two former Hollywood Blondes continues to deliver top notch ratings. Expect this Match Series to be settled on Spring Stampede. Randy Savage vs. Curt Hennig delivered as promised while continuing building the feud with Flair. Steven Regal vs. Ric Flair stole the show with a 99 A* despite Regal being a reserve option not currently in any storyline. Expect Regal to get more spotlight after the upcoming WCW US Tag Team Tournament. I've got some plans/storylines for him. Sting and The Warrior vs. Big, Bad and Dangerous scored a great 96 A* rating. Touring with AJPW in 1994 has really developed The Warrior and by accident The Renegade's contract did expire. The Renegade started in the Powerplant and was then promoted to XWF, but i forgot to renew his contract. Some head are gonna roll in April to make some space for some new signings and some returning favorites. And it's not The Giant as he's scheduled to graduate from the Powerplant in July.
