wishhavoc
Wow this is incredible, coming back to this game after 4 years with such great mod content. Does V7 included the latest 28 or will that be V8 after 100 are done?

Blackman
Yes, nice effort for sure, especially on the renders. The reason I'm not playing the mod yet is that most of my games go until 2005 before I lose interest as the loading times increase. So at that point I don't need fresh fighters, though if they are profiled and rendered that might help to motivate me to keep going. A gripe I have is that around 2001 you'll always get a huge field of elite fighters because the game world has been set back without any form of stat regression. The engine will recognise each of the 2002 mainstays as supertalents and you will get a lot more title changes, even if you do your best to manipulate it, because the top tier is superbroad. This is why most long-term games I focus on WEFF as for women it's not a problem there as no one has in fact 'elite' stats and the database module I helped work on covers the new debutants for many years. Taker666 did release a version where every stat is -20, but that causes different problems on the weaker tier fighters. The fighters on decline in 2001 also need to be boosted so they could be as relevant as they supposedly were. Somewhere I'm hoping that this can be worked on but it's such a massive undertaking as there's no feature in the database portion to set back stats. There is a the mass editor so it's possible to do it somewhat structured if you have a system (for instance: only stats above 80 get -5, etc). The best thing I came up with is to just lower each secundary stat (punch power, clinch takedowns, etc.) by a set amount, then select the lowest stats (-40) and raise them back up. But there's a lot of boxes to tick as there's no filter. So, still a massive undertaking. We tried to get a community mod going but it fell flat rather quickly apart from the women's side of things, what several people worked on. Why not divide the male weights as well? wesstukko
I had that issue with my longest running save, Blackman. There were guys who were at least 80-85 in every single category. Something that I am doing (Which, I might do for my saves going forward) is set the training effectiveness to very low, that way fighters are set more on a curve where the 70s is considered a good number. I also have tweaked most of my rendered, global-verse fighters then since they start in some cases with dreadful stats. So far, it's worked out well. It creates a bit more of an elite bottleneck. Also I personally enjoy that it increases the # of fights that end by decision (Which, I personally like as it's more realistic) Edited December 12, 2023 by wesstukko
don hughes1
I'm having some issues installing this mod for some reason. Any ideas? When I copy the folder into the database folder, when game is launched, it doesn't detect it.
