In the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania 22, WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon made a crucial decision. Vince McMahon decided to sell the rights to WCW. A cost cutting decision was made to auction off the trademarked name "World Championship Wrestling(WCW)" The plan was originally just to make a few dollars for the WWE. McMahon's outlook was that someone would buy the name and try and make a run at a huge promotion, but fail miserably. The talent in the WWE, and TNA for that matter could squash any new promotion. In the days leading up to the final bid, and guy from San Jose, CA named Andrew Samson was leading the bid. On the final day a mysterious bid was placed. The bid was 4 times higher than the next bid, and Vince's auction was over. The mysterious bid was place by a group of four individuals. The leader of this group of buyers is none other that the "Immortal" Hulk Hogan. Hogan who was under a pay per appearance contract with the WWE up until the Summer of 2006, hadnt broken any rules by making the purchase. The other three members with Hulk on this deal were his wife Linda Hogan, and two long time friends, Brian Knobbs & Ed Leslie. The WCW name is now owned primarily by Hulk Hogan, as of March 27, 2006 at 12am EST. Words at Titan Towers are mixed. Vince McMahon became extremely frustrated and betrayed. Vince and Hulk had a meeting scheduled to discuss the components of the sale. First, Vince McMahon contacted Hogan letting him know that his last appearance with the WWE will be at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to induct Gene Okerlund. Hogan accepted the termination of the agreement. The meeting is set for March 29. [SIZE="3"][b]March 29, 2006. The Meeting[/b][/SIZE] The meeting between Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan goes forth. No sour words were exchanged between the two. The agreement went something as followed. - Hogan owns the rights to the name World Championship Wrestling(WCW). - Hogan would also get the rights to all WCW titles. The United States Title, Cruiserweight Title, Tag Team Titles, Television Title, and even the World Title. - The World title was allowed even though it is strikingly similar to the WWE World Title used by the Smackdown brand. There are some slight differences between the belts. So both companies will use them. - The WWE keeps all rights to superstar photos and video library of the old WCW. Hogan gets all logos and names of the WCW tv shows and pay per views, excluding the name and logos of the "Great American Bash". - In exchange for the rights to Great American Bash, Vince McMahon finalized the deal by giving Hogan the rights to the European Title, making it the WCW European Title. Vince McMahon is seemingly frustrated. Knowing that Hogan's name could very well bring the WCW back to its old, and make it a big competitor against the WWE and TNA. Hulk Hogan, Linda Hogan, Brian Nobbs, & Ed Leslie presented the event. The huge announcement was that they have signed Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg. They have also hired Jimmy Hart, Kevin Nash, and Jim Neidhart to bring in as road agents/staff. Former WXW referee Matt Bennett was brought in, along with former WWE refs Mike Sparks and Brian Hebner. Announcement of the first televised WCW event since 2001 [FONT="Trebuchet MS"][B][U]April 2006, Monday Week 3 [/U][/B] After negotiations with Dish Network fell through, DirectTV came out and offered to carry WCW ppvs for 1 year with 12 events a maximum. Hogan has also revealed that he and his staff are in negotiations for a TV contract. A small press conference was set to reveal the event. Hulk and Linda Hogan announce that the first WCW PPV in over 5 years will come your way on Sunday April 30, 2006 on DirectTV. The event will be called "WCW Return to Glory". Also announced that there will be a 16 man tournament set to crown the World Champ will begin. The final four of that tournament will be decided that night. Pretty good so far, I like the tone and how fast everything runs. I would like to see the Crusierweights given a bigger stage to perform on (ie longer matches and bigger storyline), Im a big fan of the X-Division and I think the crusierweights you signed can put on some great matches. I see that your matches runs a good 15 minutes on average and you get good ratings. What style are you using? Is it Sports Entertainment or Cuttin Edge? Good job so far.

sorry about this but I JUST read this and I love it so far!! But, I noticed you listed David Flair at the very beginning coming in with the title, yet he was in the tournament....just saw that and it made me scratch my head...then he won it anyway, so, I'm not a ticked off fan now. Also, Bret Hart was listed as Commissioner on the same post....and there's a question about who Hogan will name.... Just to be clear, the post listing the staff and champions was your starting rosters or was it the one listed on the WCW Roster on Game World....
