Pros of doing catch-weight fights

Here are some purposes:

-Getting a guy into a match thats suffering from what I call the Dexter Darling effect: Your momentum sucks so you so want easy fights, but you reject easy fights because they don't have name value. If you have no Low Level National gatekeepers/lucky cans in your current weight class, you can go one class up or down to find a suitable opponent maybe?

-Having two champions fight without moving one into a different weight class, or without having either guy risk their title.

-Setting up convenient can crushings for guys who don't have a suitable candidate within their own division. (e.g. you have a light heavyweight brawler like Dennis Eck whos 7-0 on the local scene, and a middleweight or smaller heavyweight who needs a pop boost or a cheap win.)

-Setting up desperation superfights when you need a main event for your upcoming show and don't have one.

UFC have done the last 3 IRL for whats its worth so yeah.
