Things that don't work with storylines (?)

Hey guys,

 

Just started playing TEW and know this is an old version of the game but wanted to try it for free. One thing that's bugging me is that certain elements keep causing me to have to cancel my storylines as the storylines won't advance.

 

The first time was when I had a tag-team steal my champion's titles as part of a storyline. I had them do the correct angle (twice) but the storyline wouldn't move on, despite me following the angle to the letter.

 

And similarly in another storyline, I had a female 2v2 heel vs face storyline and tried to book a handicap match where the heels face one of the faces 2 on 1, but when I had the match the storyline didn't move forward!?

 

Anyone know why this is? Do these segments just not work with storylines or did I input them into the storylines feature incorrectly? Any help would be appreciated

It is almost certainly because your booking didn't match up precisely with what the storyline required; if it isn't 100% correct, it won't count. That is why the feature was removed in later games as people found it too hard to get it totally correct.
