Overview: My promotion is called HWS, which is a cutting edge promotion that I have been playing for about a year, and have grown from regional to national. I had a weekly PPV show on Urban Xtra, but my first show on FSN just debuted, tell me how you think it went, if you want. *Note* I am at war with TNA, so shows such as this are very, very important. PRE-SHOW DARK MATCH: DALLAS VS. BISON SMITH In a dark match between hosses, the 6'9 350 lbs. Bison took on the man we here in the real world know as Lance Hoyt. Both men gave it their all, but didn't really click. Mostly a match to help Dallas shake his ring rust for next week's tag match, which you'll find out about soon. Dallas won on a viscious Yakuza style Big Boot, and fortunately the crowd was pretty into him, chanting "Hoyt" whenever they could. WINNER: DALLAS MATCH RATING: C+ PRE-SHOW DARK MATCH: KENZO SUZUKI VS. JOHN WALTERS Another dark match, this time featuring Kenzo Suzuki, who is lucky to even have a job, and the young, promising rookie John Walters. Walters showcased his stiff style of working throughout the match, hitting a shining wizard on Suzuki at one point. Also, he locked him in a wicked looking armbar as well, the pure fans are really into Walters, but unfortunately Kenzo won with his patented Iron Claw STO, the crowd was stoked for the main show after this. The two really clicked, and Kenzo may have saved his job with his performance in the Dark Match, Walters and Kenzo clicked well. WINNER: KENZO SUZUKI MATCH RATING: B The main show, HWS Wrestling Live, from Boise, Idaho, kicked off with the familiar music of Lance Cade(who is a ****y heel, with A overness, and an equal wrestler to American Dragon in my game) hits, to a sea of boos. *Cade has been in a hot feud with American Dragon, over which Michaels trainee is better. Cade and his friend Mark Jindrak have been tag champs for a while, but Cade is often involved in the main event as well, sort of like MNM are. He has a stable with he, Jindrak, and Steve Colton(Bart Gunn), and all are billed from Texas, their stable is known as The Lone Stars in HWS* Cade cuts a promo on how Dean Malenko is forcing he and Jindrak to defend their titles because its the first night on FSN, and he's none too happy. HWS TAG CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Cade and Jindrak(C) vs. The Whippersnappers(Amazing Red and Mikey Whipwreck), Mexico's Most Wanted(Damien 666 and Halloween), and The New Breed(Alex Shelley and Jimmy Jacobs) This was a great match, which, as expected, Cade and Jindrak mostly dominated. Halloween and Shelley started off, with the fans mixed behind Shelley or Halloween. After a nicely wrestled cycle, Shelley tagged Damien, and Halloween tagged in Jacobs. Jacobs screamed his trademark "Babyface Fever" to boos, and went on a roll against the veteran Damien. Eventually, Jindrak was tagged in by Damien and hit the Mark of Perfection on Jacobs, eliminating the New Breed. Red came in to a huge pop, and hit a Frankensteiner on Jindrak before tagging in Whipwreck, and they executed a nice double team. Jindrak tagged to Cade, and the match continued. Long story short, the final two teams were the Whippersnappers and Cade and Jindrak. J & C hit their trademark manuever, "Sweet Shin Music", to what looked like a win, but Bryan Danielson ran down to the ring and distracted Cade, miraculously, Amazing Red hit a Missile Dropkick to gain the titles for the Whippersnappers. THe crowd popped like crazy. WINNERS AND NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPS: THE WHIPPERSNAPPERS, AMAZING RED AND MIKEY WHIPWRECK RATING: B- After this, unfamiliar music hit, and a man dressed exactly like the "British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith" appeared. He cut a promo, introducing himself as Harry Smith, Davey Boy's son. He stated that he's here to win the world title his father never did. Harry Smith vs. Jay Lethal Jay Lethal makes an appearance on TV! He performed very nicely, and by no means was this a squash. A stiff 10 minute match, in which Lethal carried the majority of the wrestling, and even pulled out a 450 and a Lethal Injection, was interrupted by the former Val Venis, hated heel Sean Morley. Lethal was distracted by this random interupption, but it allowed Smith to hit a Bret Hart style bulldog for the win. WINNER: HARRY SMITH MATCH RATING: B+ Morley picked up a mic and told Smith that to get anywhere in HWS you need strong allies. If he were to join the "Over Generation" he'd be assured a singles title in less time than if he went it alone. (The Over Generation consists of Morley, Alex Shelley, and Jimmy Jacobs). Harry contemplates this for a minute or so, but then shockingly accepts, and puts on Morley's "Money Sh*t" T-shirt, to a sea of boos. *Morley's gimmick is that of a bitter former jobber who hates all figures of authority, and the fans, but loves himself. He's a main eventer* Kazarian comes to the ring, and gets on the mic, and cuts a promo about his new Southeastern Title, and how easily he'll win his upcoming match. He concludes with "That's why I'm no longer the future, I am the present". Kid Kash interrupts him in mid promo, and charges the ring! SE TITLE MATCH: KID KASH VS. FRANKIE KAZARIAN Possibly the match of the night, the lod TNA rivalry renewed in HWS! Kash wrestled a career match pulling out the technical/high-flying style that he is known for. Kazarian also wrestled on the top of his game, with a very technical match. It appeared Kash was going to win after a back and forth match after a top rope brainbuster, but Kazarian rolled out of the ring, very wisely. Kash went out to chase after him, but Kazarian was able to throw him into the ring steps. Kazarian, still dazed, stammered back into the ring, and passed out. However, it turned out he was playing possum, and he won with a rollup. The crowd was none to happy. WINNER: KAZARIAN MATCH RATING: A*(w00t) Afterwards, Kash challeged Kazarian to a rematch, because of Kazarians deceitful win, but Kazarian declines. Kazarian says that if Kash finds a tag partner, he'll find won, and if Kash's team wins next week, Kash will get a shot. If not, then he will never get another shot. Kash claims that he will use his friend Dallas as his partner. Kazarian claims that his partner is a secret. The next match was a highly anticipated one, based on earlier events, as American Dragon went one on one with Steve Colton(Bart Gunn), mentor/partner of Cade and Jindrak, this one was going to be good. BRYAN DANIELSON VS. STEVE COLTON This match was as good as expected, as fan favorite, Danielson went up against a man the puro fans were having trouble taking seriously due to his previous gimmick in WWF, Steve Colton. After this match, he had their respect. The two wrestled a by-the-book chain wrestling masterpiece, in front of a hot crowd. A turning point in the match came after about 12 minutes, when Danielson was able to lock in Cattle Mutilation and make Colton tap. Colton offered Danielson his hand to shake, which he accepted. It appeared as if Colton was actually showing respect, but then out of nowhere(and as expected) Cade and Jindrak attacked, leaving Danielson down and out. Next week it will be Jindrak vs. AmDrag!. WINNER: AmDrag RATING: A LANCE STORM VS. D'LO BROWN This was a match for future #1 contendership. Lance Storm won it, with help from Joe E. Legend, in a decent, if unspectacular match. The fans were into it though, as its LANCE STORM, after all. WINNER: LANCE STORM RATING: A The main event pitted Wrestler of the Year, Yoshihiro Tajiri, the yearlong reigning HWS champion, vs. countryman Kensuke Sasaki. This was going to be a hot one, but there was a threat of Vader, bitter over his lack of title shot, interfering. PURE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP TAJIRI v. SASAKI In a match prompting about 50 "This is Awesome" chants, Tajiri and Sasaki met for the very first time. In a stiff, japanese puro style match that lasted well over 20 minutes, and well over 20 knifedge chops, Tajiri got the upper hand with a back handspring elbow/leg drop combo. Tajiri went to the top and missed on a frog splash, allowing Sasaki to lock in Stranglehold Gamma! The fans thought they were going to witness a victory by Sasaki, and his long-awaited American singles championship, but it was not to be. Tajiri got to the ropes, and Vader appeared. Sasaki was distracted, and a green mist/roundhouse kick later it was over. The fans had a mixed reaction over the win, but Tajiri remained well liked. Vader proceeded to lay out both Tajiri and Sasaki with powerbombs as the show went of the air. Great match as as expected. WINNER: TAJIRI RATING: A* SHOW RATING: A
