Wrestle Kingdom 12 is just days away and NJPW announced at their yearly fan-festival that NJPW president Takaaki Kidani will be leaving his position and leaving Bushiroad entirely. This is a big shock to the fans but Kidani told the fans that he had the perfect person to take over the position once he leaves. That man is someone who was once the Ace of NJPW's biggest rival and a man who has won both AJPW's Triple Crown Title and Noah's GHC Heavyweight Title. Ladies and Gentlemen, the new President of NJPW is...

THE LEGENDARY KENTA KOBASHI!!!!

The Question now is that how will NJPW fare with Kenta Kobashi as their leader and can he continue the Lion Mark promotion's quest for a Global Expansion?

A/N: This is my very first diary here on this forum, so I'm still new to how the forum works and etc. Hopefully, you enjoy this diary and come along for the journey. I've been playing this save file since the beginning of the year. Currently, I've already completed a year plus worth of booking which started in the game at Power Struggle 2017 and currently, I'm at NJPW Cup 2019. I do plan to give synopsizes of all the events that I've done till I reach WK13

<span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Info</strong></span>: Originally founded in 2009 as a heel group by former-NJPW star Shinsuke Nakamura to bring back Strong Style to NJPW, the group slowly morphed into a face-ish tweener group with the rise of Suzuki-gun and Bullet Club. Though the group has changed alignment, their mission to be at the top of NJPW still exists. The group consists of veterans like Gedo, Jado, Hirooki Goto and Tomohiro Ishii while still have young stars like SHO, YOH, and Will Ospreay and is currently led by 'The Rainmaker' Kazuchika Okada. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Info</strong>: Founded in 2013 by then IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Prince Devitt or now known as Finn Balor. The stable has gone on to become a global brand, with deals left and right to promote Bullet Club. Every Wrestling Fan in the world knows about the heel group. It's had former NJPW stars such as AJ Styles, Karl Anderson Doc Gallows and the previously mentioned Prince Devitt as a part of it. Currently, the group is led by 'The Cleaner' Kenny Omega. The group has seen constant changes among their ranks but one thing still remains and it's that Bullet Club is 4 Lyfe</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="color:#800080;">Info</span></strong>: Once dubbed as the next Ace, the man formely known as 'The Stardust Genius' had everything in the world for himself. The G1 contract and the fan's loyal supporter but somewhere down the road towards WK8 everything changed. The fans turned on Naito and he left for Mexico after spending the next year or so just hovering around the mid-card. Thanks to the Mexico branch of Los Ingobernables, Naito changed and once returning to Japan, he was beloved by fans. The group is currently led by 'El Ingobnarble' Tetsuya Naito.</p><p> </p><p>

Info: In pro-wrestling, if you don't fear Minoru Suzuki and his army. He will make you fear them. One of the best true heels in the business, Minoru Suzuki makes pro-wrestling look real due to his great submission game and mean personality. The rest of his army aren't anything laugh at though, around him are some of the best technical workers in the world including Zack Sabre Jr., Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and TAKA Michinoku.</p><p> </p><p>

Info: Dubbed as the Seki-gun, these wrestlers are the ones who fight off the concept of stables. Within this group are what people call sub-stables such as the Third Generation, Taguchi-Japan and GBH. Generally they are led by 'The Once In A Century Talent' Hiroshi Tanahashi.</p><p> </p><p>

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>WRESTLE KINGDOM 12 FROM THE TOKYO DOME</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="35f357120fb80ed6-600x400.jpg" data-src="https://cdn3.whatculture.com/images/2017/12/35f357120fb80ed6-600x400.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The best way to start the new year is with annual January 4th Tokyo Dome show being held by NJPW. Every year stars are born and legends are created. The question of who will lead NJPW's future? Here are stories behind the biggest matches of this year's event.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="iyY5ley.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iyY5ley.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8owNJ18.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8owNJ18.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="RauaaIU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RauaaIU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

The marquee match for this event is, of course, the main event of Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito. 4 years ago, these two faced off as not just Champion and challenger but as two young stars with potential to lead the company for the next 5-10 years. Back then a cocky Kazuchika Okada was doing something no one ever thought would happen. He was seen as the Golden boy to bring the company into a new age of greatness. Meanwhile, Tetsuya Naito was seen as the next Hiroshi Tanahashi, a blue-chip Babyface for the crowd to get behind who had come off winning the 2013 G1 Climax. </p><p> </p><p>

4 years later, the wrestlers are the same but their motivations and alignments aren't what they were at Wrestle Kingdom 8. Okada has molded into the current Ace of the company, surpassing his former rival Tanahashi two years ago and Naito, he has grown into the heel you can't help but cheer, a true tweener. Will the era of the Rainmaker continue or will Naito fulfill his Destino?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="Ovznlg3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Ovznlg3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LpV1veD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LpV1veD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="JqoDrJX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JqoDrJX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Hiroshi Tanahashi ever since winning IWGP Incontinetal Title has told the members of his NJPW to step up and try to take his title away from if they can. After successfully defending his title against Kota Ibushi something that no one thought would happen the man who dubbed as the Ace of Junior Heavyweight Division KUSHIDA stepped up to Tanahashi, declaring that he has done everything in the Junior division and was tired of being labeled as one. KUSHIDA would go on to challenge Tanahashi for the belt at Wrestle Kingdom and with a smirk on his face, Tanahashi accepted the challenge from the 'Time Splitter'. Is KUSHIDA the one who can give Tanahashi the challenge he has wanted ever since the end of G1 Climax 27?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="mXKzifw.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mXKzifw.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kZm3xRv.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kZm3xRv.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="K8iwREY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/K8iwREY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

Kenny Omega, for many people he's the best in the world. In the span of 2 years, Omega has gone from Bullet Club's Junior champ to the leader. Kota Ibushi, on the other hand, has gone from one of Wrestling's hottest property to back near the bottom of the food chain. What difference 2 years makes in someone's career. Two men who wanted to change the wrestling world together now face on the opposite side of the ring. Once known together as the Golden Lover, they now clash for the IWGP United States Championship. Can Kota Ibushi after so long of being dubbed as the next big babyface do the unthinkable and take away the prized possession of the Best Bout Machine?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="FW2dCbn.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FW2dCbn.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="imDG4E7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/imDG4E7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="CiJ1rtO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CiJ1rtO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

What are you willing to give up to hold a title in professional wrestling? Will you sell your soul to the devil? Cut your hair? Or will do something like Hirooki Goto and put your entire career on the line if it means to be champion? After losing his NEVER Openweight title to Minoru Suzuki, Hirooki Goto has held one of the biggest down periods of his career. No motivation in his wrestling, no drive... that was until Power Struggle. At the event, YOSHI-HASHI, someone that Hirooki Goto considered a younger brother fought off all of Suzuki-gun to claim the NEVER Openweight title. Seeing him showcase the same kind of Samurai Spirit that Goto shows made something snap inside the head of Goto as he would challenge Minoru Suzuki for the NEVER Openweight Title and if he was to lose, he would quit NJPW entirely. Can the man who has always been dubbed as the bridesmaid of NJPW overcome Minoru Suzuki or is this the end of his time in NJPW?</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="RGD1gRF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RGD1gRF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS.</strong> <img alt="M8wYquD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M8wYquD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

At Power Struggle, NJPW unveiled their Hall of Fame and it's first inductee, that person was of course, the Legendary Former Ace Keiji Mutoh or better known as the Great Muta but when Mutoh took the mic and was about to accept his induction, the bizarre videos that had been haunting NJPW since the G1 Finals played for the last time and we were introduced to the 'Switchblade' followed by a shocked crowd for the return of Jay White. Now with a new look, new personality. Once Jay looked Mutoh in the eye while the ring, the first words since his return from excursion were "Wrestle Kingdom". Mutoh accepted the young Kiwi's challenge and the crowd exploded in cheers as for one more time Keiji Mutoh would step into a NJPW ring to face the now dubbed 'Switchblade'.</p>

He's wearing a Black Leather jacket and black sunglasses resembling that of the Terminator. Omega means all business tonight as he just stares down Ibushi while making his entrance, he's ready to 'Terminate' Ibushi.</p><p> </p><p> - <strong>During the match, you can tell who has momentum on their side. Kenny Omega has the control of the match for its first 5 minutes, maybe it's Ibushi struggling form? You can tell that Kenny Omega is serious tonight, he isn't pulling any of his cocky behavior. What Ibushi is facing is more focused Kenny Omega. 'The Golden Star' is finally into the match once Omega slaps across the face. The same dark side of Ibushi that has shown up in matches against Nakamura at WK9 and Tanahashi at PS2017 shows up. Ibushi never with his recent form is able to fight Kenny Omega with all of his heart. 20 minutes later both men start hitting their finishing maneuvers. Kenny firing off a barrage of V-Triggers and Kota Ibushi hitting a Kamigoye, both moves can't get the job done. During one of the match's many near fall sequences, Kenny is able to counter Ibushi's Reverse Rana attempts and hits a Croyt's Wrath but again Ibushi kicks out to a huge pop from the crowd. Kenny has the match in his control again and begins to fire off V-triggers but Ibushi somehow is absorbing of the knee strikes before hitting a roundhouse kick which gets Kenny down to a knee, this is followed by a Golden Star Bomb from Kota but Kenny Omega kicks out again. Ibushi now heads a corner and does a particularly similar taunt of Shinsuke Nakamura. Ibushi runs up and hits a Boma Ye, the same move that inspired his Kamigoye but Kenny Omega kicks out. Using someone else's moves won't work and goes for a Phoenix Splash. The Bucks don't intervene but it doesn't matter as Ibushi takes to go long which allows Kenny Omega to get the advantage and hits an elevated Katayoku no Tenshi/One-Winged Angel to finish off Ibushi's valiant Title challenge.</strong></p><p> </p><p> - <strong>Kenny Omega retained his IWGP US Heavyweight Title when he defeats Ibushi in 33 minutes and makes defense number 4 with a Super Katayoku no Tenshi/One-winged Angel. During the post-match angle, Ibushi is down and it seems Kenny has no care for his former partner as he just leaves and celebrates at the ramp with The Bucks. The part of Omega that once cared for the Golden Lovers is finally put to rest, at the biggest stage. Kenny Omega has proven that he is the best. The main event of what might be the biggest Wrestle Kingdom is finally here and out first is the challenger. With the entire Tokyo Dome chanting 'Naito' as he makes his way down to the ring. There was something about Naito tonight. Sure he was his normal Tranquilo self but something else was up, his face told the story. Naito had finally done something that he's wanted to do ever since he was young and that's main event the Tokyo Dome. While Naito was taking his suit, we got the entrance of the Rainmaker. The longest reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion accompanied by his manager, Gedo. Okada is here and wearing that IWGP Heavyweight title proudly. Okada Dollars falling from the sky, you knew this was going to be a big deal match for the Rainmaker.</p><p> </p><p> - <strong>The match starts slowly to get the crowd back to normal after the red-hot Omega vs. Ibushi bout. Both men are going at it to get the early pace control. The gets into the swing of things with both men trading early finisher attempts to get the crowd going, you can see smirks on both of the competitors' faces. It seems Naito who seemed way out of character during his entrance is back to his tranquilo attitude while Okada is the same as always. The match continues and Okada has control, the normally written babyface Okada is being treated as a heel by the Tokyo crowd because of Naito's immense popularity. The Rainmaker is able to get Naito grounded but not for long as Naito slips out and gets the advantage with a forearm. After 30 minutes of back and forth wrestling which saw multiple Rainmakers and Destinos, the final stretch begins as Naito's running forearm attempt is countered into a signature dropkick. Okada is entering that mode that you see from him when he believes the end is coming. He hits a tombstone before getting Naito up for a Rainmaker, the camera zooms out and gets a hold of the wrist. Okada goes for the Rainmaker but it's reversed by Naito and he quickly hits another Destino! Naito knows that one Destino alone won't put away Okada as he climbs the top rope to a massive pop from the crowd. He's going to go for his former finisher better known as the Stardust Press. NAITO IS ABLE TO HIT THE PRESS AND SOON GETS THE DOWNED OKADA FOR ONE LAST DESTINO! NAITO HAS DONE IT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>- Tetsuya Naito defeats Kazuchika Okada and is the 66th IWGP Heavyweight champion in 42:12 via Stardust Press followed Destino. Tetsuya Naito can't believe it as Red Shoes passes him the title and he's soaking in the cheers from the 36,000 fans in attendance. Meanwhile, Okada is being helped by Gedo and YOSHI-HASHI. Naito finally returns back to normal and cuts his usual post-match promo and declares this to be a new era of New Japan before his music plays and pyro fire off from the ramp for the NEW IWGP Heavyweight Champion. The last of Wrestle Kingdom 12 is Naito posing with his IWGP Heavyweight title.</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Match Grade: </strong><strong><span style="color:#4169E1;">A</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> So there you have it. What happened at WK12 in my save file.</p><p> </p><p> Quick Results: </p><p> </p><p> -Juice Robinson wins NJ Rumble 2018</p><p> -Hiromu and BUSHI win the Jr. Tag titles</p><p> -Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and Bad Luck Fale) retain their title 6 man titles</p><p> -Cody wins the special triple threat earning a title shot</p><p> -Jay White beats NJPW Hall of Famer Keiji Mutoh in his return match</p><p> -KES retains their tag titles</p><p> -Hirooki Goto wins the NEVER Openweight title and keeps his career in NJPW going</p><p> -Marty Scrull continues to get victories at the expense of Will Ospreay</p><p> -Tanahashi retains but KUSHIDA proves that he is ready for the heavyweight division</p><p> -Kenny retains in a red-hot bout against former tag partner Kota Ibushi</p><p> -Naito finally claims his rightful position as NJPW's top guy.</p><p> </p><p> Definitely would like to hear your thoughts and opinions about my show. <p>I don't know if it's me, but the "bold"-ing of the paragraphs are quite a pain in the eye, it would better if you write it in un-"bold" (if that's even a word) form. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Great Shows by the way, but the boldings get in the way.</p>

</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Kevin Kelly:</strong> It's a New Beginning. A new era of the Ungovernable and it's time for the first event of this new era. Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Kevin Kelly and here are the must-see matches from this year's New beginning shows in both Osaka. Here are the matches that we recommend for you to watch. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Special Singles Match:</strong></p><p>

<img alt="QNAhHOD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QNAhHOD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>vs.</strong> <img alt="wihZCod.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wihZCod.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

'The Rainmaker' Kazuchika Okada vs. 'Switchblade' Jay White</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin Kelly: At Wrestle Kingdom 12, Kazuchika Okada suffered a massive defeat where he lost his IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Tetsuya Naito. Meanwhile Jay White defeated an NJPW Legend in Keiji Mutoh. The following night at New Years Dash the manager of the Rainmaker, Gedo offered a position in CHAOS to the young star but Okada believes that Jay needs to earn that position he's being offered. So the stake is made, Jay White must impress Kazuchika Okada and the offer given to him by Gedo is up for him to take. Okada seems ready to use the young Switchblade to bounce back into the title scene and Jay White seems ready to take on the world. This definitely is one of the must-see singles matches of the night.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RevPro British Heavyweight Championship match:</strong></p><p>

'Aerial Assasin' Will Ospreay vs. 'The Submission Master' Zack Sabre Jr. ©</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin: Thanks to NJPW's working agreement with UK based promotion, RevPro we're getting the chance to see this match. Ospreay, the former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion has said that he is looking to get back his Jr. title but more importantly he wants to capture another title that he holds dear in regards. The RevPro British Heavyweight Championship but that might be the most challenging match for Ospreay as he has to face off against 'The Submission Master' Zack Sabre Jr. in this title match. Will Ospreay be able to secure the title under his name or will he in the words of TAKA Michinoku 'JUST TAP OUT'?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>IWGP Tag Team Championship match: </strong></p><p>

Tomohiro Ishii and YOSHI HASHI vs. Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Lance Archer) ©</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin: At New Years Dash, we saw the CHAOS team come out victorious against a Suzuki-Gun team but before the bell rang, we saw Ishii and HASHI staring down the IWGP Tag Champs. Soon Ishii would even pin one half of the tag champs, Archer in a Six-man tag during one of the house shows. Soon after the match was set for this show. Will the team of Ishii and HASHI do the unthinkable and become tag champs or will KES keep the titles around their waist?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>NEVER Openweight CHampionship:</strong></p><p>

<img alt="MvVfLSE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MvVfLSE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uiPp0ij.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uiPp0ij.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="0n6ov2f.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0n6ov2f.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

'Heart and Soul' Juice Robinson vs. 'Fierce Warrior' Hirooki Goto ©</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin: Two guys with heart and fighting spirit inside of them that puts such high regard by fans for them. Juice Robinson, a young talent with unlimited potential who is receiving this title match after he got the pin against Goto during a Fantastica Mania show. The young Juice has been getting his ass kicked since then by Hirooki Goto but he's always stood. Meanwhile, the Fierce Warrior has been on a roll since becoming champ outside of the blemish thanks to Juice Robinson. Can Hirooki Goto continue his great form or will Juice Robinson finally reach the mountaintop?</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Main Event and IWGP Intercontinental Championship match:</strong></p><p>

<img alt="RveUosL.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RveUosL.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="C6LcToK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/C6LcToK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bMI1tQx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bMI1tQx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>

'Crimson Riot' Kenoh vs. 'Once in a Century Talent' Hiroshi Tanahashi ©</p><p> </p><p>

Kevin: For those who have never seen any of Kenoh's matches, I would first like to point toward his match against Go Shiozaki from Pro Wrestling Noah's Global League 2017. It properly showcases the title of the madman who can rival Katsuyori Shibata in Intensity. Now towards this match, Kenoh's jump to NJPW was one of the most surprising moments from New Year's Dash and now considered by Minoru Suzuki as the 'Ace' of the Suzuki-Gun while the leader himself heals up. Kenoh's biggest match of his career up to date is against 'Once in a Century Talent' Hiroshi Tanahashi and it's the main event of New Beginning in Osaka. How will the complete parallel of one another fare in this match? Will Tanahashi be able to ground Kenoh's loud strikes and can Kenoh be able to do something nobody has done in a long while and shut down Tanahashi's reign as champ? </p><p> </p><p>

Find out during the Main Event of New Beginning in Osaka when we head to the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium!</p><p> </p><p>

----------------------------</p><p> </p><p>

Stay tuned for the post about the New Beginning in Sapporo show. And I would definitely like to know if you like this format when it comes to the non-tournament major matches as I'm not a big fan of posting 'Road To' show results</p>
