[HYPE-ish] The BlazeVerse

Recommended Posts

Hello other... TEW2016 fans.. err.. um... hi.

I'm new here so bear with me...

I've been working on a mod I'd like to call The BlazeVerse. It is a completely fictional mod similar to the T-Verse and RockVerse. There is no set release date yet, but I'm hoping to have the release version done by the end of the year. Planned for the Release there are going to be 30-40 Active Promotions, with another 10-20 yet to open in the game world, and around 1000 total workers.

I'm hoping that the rest of development goes along smoothly, and that it should be ready for release by the end of the year or sooner. After the initial release, I'll do my best to keep it updated regularly with more workers, fixes, in-depth histories, and other fun stuff. I'll be releasing a beta version hopefully very soon, so I can get feedback from anyone willing to play sooner.

I really hope this all goes over well and I am able to create a successful mod that everyone enjoys! I'll probably be posting updates on completion or set release dates and other stuff every now and then, so if your interested stay tuned! Er.. pretend I didn't say that. :)

Hello! I decided to not make an entirely new thread about this, but here's an update on the development of the BlazeVerse after 1 month in production:

So far 276 workers have been created, and I'm working on more daily.

There are going to be 29 active promotions, 16 yet to open, and 4+ closed promotions. Obviously these numbers may change by the time of release...

There are currently going to be 4 dojos and I'm going to use the C-Verse pictures for the database's Free Images, to which I thank Adam Ryland and the C-Verse team for all of the work that went into the C-Verse, and I hope I'm not doing anything wrong by using these images, as it would mean nearly 2000+ free worker images.

Big thanks to WillyWillyWilly and KnowYourEnemy for pitching in and creating renders, company logos and more for the BlazeVerse, it means a lot to me that they're willing to help!

Now I know this isn't exactly great in terms of how I'm informing anyone who is willing to play the BlazeVerse or is interested in it about updates, but I'm hoping to possibly get out Monthly updates via this thread and comments on it. I'm still new so I don't really know anything about what I should do and/or who I should potentially work with.

There is no confirmed release date for a beta version of the BlazeVerse.

Thank you everybody! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Dev Update #2

This marks the second month of development on the BlazeVerse. This update will also contain a preview of the leading US promotion in the universe, All American Wrestling. Anyways, this month was not as productive as the first due to many factors. I had things going on in real life, for one, and two, I focused on some other areas of the mod, such as the events and titles each promotion has.

There are now 30 active promotions in the game world, along with 16 yet to open and 5 closed for historical reasons. The universe currently has 2 Yet To Debut characters and 344 other workers, (of which I believe 2 are deceased, 5-10 are retired or close to retirement, and maybe 30-40 are out-of-ring workers - I haven't checked this yet as of making this post).

ALL AMERICAN WRESTLING

All American Wrestling is one of the biggest U.S. Based wrestling promotions, and has proven its worth too, as in 1999 it bought out both of its rivals, Hollywood Pro Wrasslin' (HPW) and Extreme Cult Hardcore Federation (ECHF), then later, in 2004 it bought out a promotion who had risen through the ranks to become it's contender, Smashmouth Pro Wrestling Entertainment (SPWE). Since then its kinda dominated the U.S. wrestling scene, with other promotions afraid to even dare compete with it. It is considered the "baby" of Preston Davisson, a cutthroat and feared businessman.

Preston Davisson

Preston Davisson is a well known businessman and promoter, and a very feared one at that. His first taste of "fame" came in 1989, when he tried to start a Professional Wrestling promotion called World Championship Action Wrestling. It started in October 1989 and closed in March of the following year, which resulted in nearly everyone involved in the industry mocking him. He then disappeared from the wrestling industry, with many thinking he was gone for good. As it turns out he was licking his wounds and learning from his mistakes. He started a successful restaurant chain in 1990 and 1991, and very quickly dominated the food industry, buying out all competitors in America. In 1992 Davisson was contacted by a struggling wrestling promoter who remains unnamed to this day, about possible financing for his promotion - Pro Wrestling Greatness, to which Davisson just bought it out and re-branded it as All American Wrestling. By 1997, AAW was dominating the US wrestling scene, with hardly any promotions big enough to rival it, and the "big" promotions being bought out. Nowadays, in 2016, Davisson just sits back and reaps the fruits of his labor, enjoying a nice, fancy, sweet, sweet life.

Darrick "Demon" Griffiths

Style: Brawler]

Darrick Griffiths, or Demon Griffiths as he is widely known as, is a charismatic brawler who first appeared on the screens of wrestling fans in 1998, when he debuted for All American Wrestling. He was quickly pushed into the upper midcard, winning the AAW United States title after two months of working for the company. Back then he was hated by the fans, who treated him terribly due to the fact that he was being pushed not only very quickly, but at the same time he wasn't as big as some of his opponents. Eventually he boosted his muscle mass and fans got behind him. In 2005, he won his first - and only - AAW North American Championship. He then lost it in a match where he put over the at the time semi-retired Animal over, which many fans hated that AAW booked. Over the course of Griffiths nearly 20 year long career, he has won the AAW United States title an astonishing 7 times, the AAW North American title once, and has had an AAW Tag Team titles run where he held them by himself, making 11 defenses before losing them. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that he'll be in the AAW Hall of Fame someday, along with the Hall of Immortals.

Aaron Hudson

[Picture is not mine, and I will not claim ownership of it. This picture belongs to that of the T-Verse team. I have used the ThunderVerse's "Free Pictures" for the majority of this mods worker pictures. I hope that this does not cause problems, nor that anybody has an issue with this. If I can find a list of the artists and possibly which pictures each one made individually, I'd be able to credit them properly, but for now I'll just credit the entirety of the T-Verse team, and if any of the T-Verse team have a problem with the use of these pictures please contact me and let me know, and I'll pull every T-Verse related picture out of the mod. I do hope that it does not come to this. Thank you all for all the work that did go into the T-Verse mods as well. I'm sorry if this crediting/note is repetitive and long, it is really just directed at the T-Verse team.]

Aaron Hudson is one of the up-and-comers most noted in American wrestling. He is one of the stars of AAW, and is likely to eventually be the company's figurehead. It's either him or Disco, as some journalists say. Hudson is widely known in the U.S. and is loaded with technical talent, which seems to be the opposite of what Preston Davisson looks for - or used to look for in terms of a figurehead. Rumours are starting to surface that Davisson may be looking to expand into other countries and go Global, and Hudson should be perfect for that expansion, considering other countries wrestling fans' tend to look for talent in the wrestler, not particularly his mic work and entertainment capabilities. But Hudson is like a 'double-whammy' - he is talented in the ring and is loaded to the brim with charisma and star power, so he is worth pushing hard. Journalists predict he'll be globally known by 2025 - assuming the rumours are true.

Aaron Nile

Adrian Copper, more known by his ring name "Aaron Nile", is an American professional wrestler of Egyptian decent. He takes advantage of this by applying it to his character, one of an Egyptian Wrestling God, where he see's himself as somebody who is better than everyone not only because of his skill, but because of his heritage. While not being noted as a future icon of the industry or in AAW, Nile has become known for his character and skills, and that'll be enough to carry his name over for at least a while, right?

<img alt="cH5FCYN.jpg1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cH5FCYN.jpg1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Disco

[stats:

Style: Entertainer]

The man simply known as "Disco" is really the life of any party, because without him, well, there'd be no music! Disco portrays a DJ-esque gimmick, and its a very entertaining one as well. The man may be lackluster between the ropes, but give him a microphone and he'll make the gods listen if need be. He has been tipped as the next figurehead of AAW, only rivaled by the likes of Aaron Hudson. Disco and Hudson were in a very heated rivalry between 2014 and 2015 over the AAW United States title, where Disco prevailed in December of 2015 at the AAW Year End Massacre PPV, where they had a 4-star (or 82/100 for all you weirdos out there who rate matches with numbers instead of stars..) match in the main-event. Disco is also a widely known DJ before turning pro in 2008 at age 17. He has said publicly that he only DJ'd to earn money for his training behind the scenes.

<img alt="wSRGsAQ.jpg1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wSRGsAQ.jpg1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Eric Kross

Eric Kross is a talented young lightweight worker currently working for AAW. Surprisingly, he's in the main event scene despite his size. Massively over with the fans due to his mysterious persona, it is surprising that Preston Davisson hasn't given him a North American title run, but who knows? There's still plenty time on Kross' contract and career. While not in the big part of the Main Event with the likes of Disco, Demon Griffiths and Aaron Hudson, Kross still had a very entertaining feud with Aaron Nile between 2014 and 2015 over who was the best in the company. This culminated at the Scars and Stripes PPV event in August 2015, where the two were the opener of the night, and they put on a 5-star classic bout. It's a shame that Nile won the match, because even though they are both in the same position with the company, being small and in the main event, the fans cheered for Kross the whole way.

HUGE thanks to @KnowYourEnemy for making logos for the Mod, along with @WillyWillyWilly for making renders for some characters - a full list will be made after the mod releases to properly give credit. More thanks to Adam Ryland and the rest of the TEW16/C-Verse team for making the character renders and more available for the public to use for mods, ect. Thanks to the T-Verse team, again, for the pictures that are being used in the mod - even though I don't technically have permission, I hope nobody has any problems with this as the pictures are a huge asset to this mod. As mentioned above, if any T-Verse members or quite a few members of the general community have issues with the usage of these images in the mod I will pull them all from the mod and get to work on learning how-to and producing my own pictures. @MHero has also provided me information on what pictures in the T-Verse "Free Pictures" to not use as they closely resemble actual T-Verse characters, to which I thank him. Thanks to everybody who support this mod. I'm aiming for a "Beta" release sometime between now and November, though any particular date has not been confirmed.
