Eric Bischoff

He is the Executive Vice President, in other words, the boss of the company

He, alongside Ric Flair, helped bring professional wrestling’s icon, Hulk Hogan on board.

He invested Ted Turner’s money into production values, enabling WCW to compete against the WWF.

He invested in increasing the number of WCW pay-per-views. Which went from 7, to 10 and now every month.

These changes are certainly becoming noticeable, as WCW are very well on their way to making 1995 their first profitable year.

In just one year since being promoted to his current role in the company, Bischoff has made striving efforts to make WCW a threat to the World Wrestling Federation and now... The competition is about to heat-up.

In order to further compete against Vince McMahon’s WWF, Ted Turner accepted Bischoff’s request for a prime-time slot on national television. Turner wanted to go head to head against Vince, by giving Bischoff a 1-hour show, on Monday nights. As Turner made it clear, he wanted to step inside the ring with Vince McMahon and what better way then to make a gamble on competing against the competition on the same night and same time.

The young and ambitious, Eric Bischoff, looks prepared and focused to continue the growth of WCW as well as take the #1 spot as the biggest professional wrestling company in the world. WCW Monday Night Nitro is now set to premiere on September 4th, on the cable network, TNT. The news conference ensured fans that the show would be live every Monday night, sending a message to the WWF. Now, with only 6 weeks until the first show, Bischoff is preparing to make it not only just a memorable night, but to send a message, that the WCW are gunning for the number one spot in professional wrestling.

While many see this move as a big gamble, considering that the WWF is very well established, WCW on the other hand, believe they have all the money, materials and talent, to make up for their lack of establishment. Only time will tell whether WCW Monday Night Nitro can deliver the competition on a weekly basis or go down in history as one of the biggest failures in the industry.

OOC: Well, there you guys have it. The introduction of a new dynasty that I’m getting my hands into. I have several things I want to discuss with this project and also bring up the future of my current dynasty, WWF Generations.

First and foremost, my current WWF Generations dynasty is still alive and will not be taking any backseat to this dynasty. Like I mentioned previously before, my ultimate goal is to make it into the mid 90’s and even possibly go for 2000s. While this dynasty is just starting up, it won’t be my main focus. Instead, it will be more of a fun project, for when I do want to take a break from Generations.

With that aside, the reason why I chose 1995 is because the start of Monday Nitro really caught my interest. I had played around with several other time periods, such as the Montreal Screwjob, WWF 1985, The Big Bang of 1980 and even thought about doing the WWF Invasion era. However, once I started playing this mod, I began to enjoy it enough, that I decided to start up a new dynasty.

What also caught my interest is that this time period ensures competition and is the start of the Monday Night Wars. I’ve been a big fan of the war period, like many other wrestling fans and I think it’s a great time period to sink my teeth into. Anyways, I’ll get into the expectations for this dynasty.

Length: The ultimate goal of this dynasty is to keep it going for as long as I can, while I don’t have plans for this dynasty to last as long as Generations, that can always change whether readers or myself are enjoying it.

PDF: After each PPV, I'll be posting the PDF files for all of that month's content. Which can make it easier for anyone who want to read, while they're offline or just whenever.

Format: This dynasty will see a format similar to the one I use for Generations, which I have adopted by TFC. However, I’ll be changing the course slightly with this one. I’ll look into making this dynasty looking more presentable and less lengthy, as oppose to Generations, which will also see an improvement soon. “A” shows will have the most meat to the bones, while “B” shows will be sum-up writing shows.

Prediction Contest: I never was able to get into the swing of things when it came to predictions in Generations but I’m going to take a second chance with it in this dynasty. Predictions will include both shows and pay-per-views, with them wrapping up at the end of every month. So far, I have only one prize sorted out for 1st place, but I’ll be looking into a 2nd and 3rd spot prize as well.

Competition: Last but not least, I’ll be playing as Eric Bischoff in WCW, while also playing as Vince McMahon in WWF. The reason for this is to ensure that competition stays alive and that I can create unique scenarios too. The aim will certainly be to keep both companies competitive and achieve the best ratings possible. Not 100% sure how I'll present WWF's show, but I'll think of something, hopefully by the time I post the first Nitro.

I hope many of you guys are looking forward to this as much as I am, as this will be my 2nd dynasty overall and since I started Generations, I feel like I have improved a lot since the start. Feedback is always welcomed and encouraged, as it fuels the motivation for me. Coming up, I’ll be posting the roster, the show index will be featured on this page.

I got the first ready all ready to be posted and I would be in the process of getting it on here now but currently having a problem posting to imgur for some weird reason. I'm hoping to have the show up tonight but If imgur is still acting up, then it may not be until tomorrow, when I post the final shows for Generations before the Bashed in the USA PPV. If you have checked out this dynasty already, you may have missed the "Creative Team" part. Afterwards, Bischoff informs the viewers that they are in for a big match tonight, as the main event will see the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan, put his title on the line against Big Bubba Rogers. Both Flair and Anderson trade words with each other, resulting in Anderson delivering his finishing, Spinebuster. The referee calls the match off and declares Ric Flair the winner of the match by disqualification. However, due to the disqualification finish, Sting remains the WCW United States Heavyweight Champion. In what should be a memorable match between the 2 members of the Four Horsemen. However, Eric Bischoff threatens Norton by telling him that if he enters the ring, he'll never compete on Nitro. Robert Parker soon appears on set and states that they do in fact have something special. Parker wants Sherri to admit it but she refuses, as Parker gets closer to her, Booker T and Stevie Ray begin to force Robert to back away. He taunts Harlem Heat and says that if they dare lay a hand on him, his guys will be out here in a flash to knock their teeth down their mouth. Booker T and Stevie Ray aren’t intimidated, as they push Robert away, attempting to get him to call his guys out. Okerlund tells both sides to calm down and that Fall Brawl is only 13 days away, no need to get physical now. He says that he has his sights set on the WCW World Television Championship and that he’s challenging The Renegade to a match next week for the championship. The fans began chanting Lex Luger’s name as they were completely shocked by his arrival, as many were well aware that Luger was a part of the WWF. What they didn’t know was that his contract expired yesterday and that his appearance was the first shot in the Monday Night Wars. Hogan, Savage, Sting and Luger cleared the ring, Hogan and Luger almost threw a punch at each other before quickly realizing they were working together. Luger continues by saying he’s defeated the same opponents that Hogan has defeated, been to the same events that Hogan has main evented and that now he wants to face the man he has never been in the ring with and that's Hogan himself. Hogan doesn’t back down from Luger’s challenge, as he tells Luger that he can have his WCW World Championship match next week against him, right here on Monday Night Nitro. Both men begin to trade words, as Savage and Sting separate both of them. Hogan then tells Luger to shake his hand and he’ll have his match, Luger shakes Hogan’s hand and the match becomes official for next week’s Nitro. Badd </div></blockquote> OOC: I know this seems almost identical to the IRL debut of Nitro and the main reason why that is, is because in my honest opinion, I think they did a great job with the debut. Of course, I changed the promos up a lil just to make it fit with the dynasty. Most of my booking is locked on Fall Brawl right now but as soon as that PPV is over, I'll be able to go in whatever direction. A few notes on the show: Brian Pillman & Jushin Liger didn't do as good as I had expected, due to the fact that they have bad chemistry in this save. Bummer. Great news however, was that Brian Pillman is improving in flying, rumble, technical and performance skills from just one match. Amazing. Scotty Riggs was improving in a lot of areas in his pre-show match. Always was a fan of his, so that was good news for me. Sting and Flair have good chemistry. As was expected. Main event between Rogers and Hogan suffered because there was not enough selling in the match. Figures. No comparison to Raw this week, as it was not shown on September 4th. The real war begins next week! Nitro LIVE! Raw TAPED! Also, next week's Nitro begins the Prediction Contest! The 2 matches are worth 1 point each, while the question is worth 2 points. Once the month of September is over, prizes will be handed out. Hope your enjoying this dynasty so far and the new format I'm going with. Stay tune for more this weekend!

Comments: I'm actually surprised that they didn't go for a big title switch on live TV considering the rating it could have generated (and TV ratings were pretty much all Bischoff cared about) but for here I see a no contest....probably from a DoD run in. Luger is too new to eat the loss while Hogan certainly isn't going to want to do the job either

Good first show, clean and easy to read too, as you say it mimicked the actual show IRL, but then it makes sense because you have a PPV already in the works....that and it kinda bugs me when people start a new diary and completely disregard what is happening and go in a completely new direction....get to the PPV, then you can make the company your own

I feel like these final months of 1995 were some of WCW's best work, with Hogan losing his mind against the Dungeon of Doom, the trust issues story involving Hogan/Savage and Sting/Luger, the pushing of The Giant, the new yet-unnamed cruiserweight division being represented by the new stars like Benoit and Guerrero, and the resurgence of the Horsemen. Sure there were snags along the way (THE YE-TAY!) but in the main event scene it was all just so solid that I would just end up booking things all the same way until about Halloween Havoc anyways. Hogan vs. Luger, No Contest - Dungeon interference leads to no contest. Randy Savage - Norton may be great in Japan, but this is 'murica brutha-brutha, ooo yeah! Yes, Renegade accepts, because Page is just the right level for him to lose the title to and start the decline in his career. Just hopefully the decline doesn't lead him as far down as it did in real life.
