TCW: Bitter Revival

Recommended Posts

Two weeks before the new year, two men sit in a room.

On one side of the room, there's a familiar man. A familiar man that looks timid. He's listening to what the other man has to say, but he's not so thrilled to be in this situation. He took the CEO job, because he thought he had no other choice. Turns out, he did. The man knows how tough owning a company truly can be. Hell, he was there when Stallings signed off TCW to Cornell. But this was another story, another story completely for Kyle Rhodes.

1RHjszu.jpg

To say Rhodes was nervous was an understatement, but one part of him was confident. As he sat in his seat, across from a man who had shook wrestling to his core, and he had planned again. That was the bad feeling Rhodes also had. After what this man had done once, he was only afraid of what he could be doing to those backstage.

But it was too late Rhodes felt. He simply listened to all of his points, and willingly decided to give over TCW.. Staying as an active employer. Why had he done it? He thought it was the right choice, but what would others think? Would he still be respected, no.. That idn't matter right now to him. What people thought was the last of his troubles, but his only worries is if he did the right thing giving up TCW to this man..

The same man who had betrayed a company he had worked years in and built a career in, the same man who had also recently claimed he was "done with pro wrestling", instead he lied. But sadly, no regrets now. TCW now belonged to this man.

Monday morning, the announcement that would shock the entire world. It was now 2016, and people all over the world could completely freak out now.

Takeover Heard Around The World - Money Takes TCW

Total Championship Wrestling, coming off an interesting 2015. In this year, we saw Tommy Cornell sell off th company to toy company BriCo, which resulted in long time commentator Kyle Rhodes becoming CEO, and Cornell departing from the company he had owned for many years back to his home in 21CW. Also, the aftermath of the Black Wednesday Betrayal definitely boosted USPW, but it was Rich Money himself who said that he had "no passion and was no longer interested in pro wrestling."

This seems to have been a lie, as we've gained word that Rich Money and Kyle Rhodes privately discussed, originally they said they had no idea what the topic was. But as time has gone on, it's seemed to grow obvious that Kyle Rhodes has signed Total Championship Wrestling over to Rich Money. Money has owned the company for only a few weeks, but hasn't adjusted to a new home in Hollywood just yet, instead Kyle Rhodes has been running the day to day operations for the last few shows of 2015.

Rich Money, known for his work in SWF, and better yet known for being one of the men that jumped ship from SWF to USPW. This jump definitely benefited the company, as well as Allen Packer of Reverie buying it. Recently, Money said on his twitter that he was no longer interested in pro wrestling and claimed that he was done.

Speculated by many that this was an excuse to get out of an USPW contract, it's no coincedince that Money went to meet with Rhodes as soon as USPW let him go. Money taking TCW wasn't anything had expected, especially as you wouldn't imagine Money to be the guy to step foot in a place like TCW given his different style.

Anyways, we hope to get more information on this soon, considering that TCW does have their weekly TV show, Total Wrestling tommorow. Tommorow night, there'll possibly be more to learn, as that will be the first day Money will legitimately be running the company.

All we can sat at Pro Wrestling Hits is, well, this'll be an interesting ride. Let's see how TCW can go, and perhaps maybe Rich Money can save it from the hole it's been digging itself in for years.

Tuesday, hours before Total Wrestling

Rich Money arrives in the building. There's a few weird looks, glimpses, of course there is. No one saw this coming. Especially when BriCo and Kyle Rhodes agreed to give the ownership off to Rich Money. Roster members have no idea what they're getting themselves into anymore, but they respect Money.

Money looks like he knows what he's doing, he's confident that he can mold this company into something better, going as far to invest lots of his own money into the company just so it could grow in wealth. This isn't any joke, Money obviously cares about the business.

He knows that he may not be the most respected figure in the building yet, but that's the least of his worries as of now. He enters into the room of the creative team, sitting around the table is Brent Hill and Joel Bryant. Two respective members of the roster.

<img alt="C1I1CMq.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/C1I1CMq.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

"Welcome to the booking team Mr Parsons."

<img alt="6kpDBo3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6kpDBo3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

"No need to call me that. Just call me Paul."

<img alt="PBvremr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PBvremr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

"Let's get down to business men," The former headbooker, first to get the legitimate talk going.

Money sits down, across from Hill and Bryant.

"Now, I'm aware of what's going on in the company, but I think there should be added changes to what's going on right now." Money quickly cuts in,

"One of my issues is the feud that Mighty Mo and Jay Chord have been feuding for two years without any signal of the feud ending."

"Well, Paul, those two are men we really want to be stars in the future, especially Mighty Mo. Both are great talents and have a lot of upside, so by that we pretty much had them feud for so long so they could get used to each other and potentially build something that can go on for ages." Hill answers, Money listens closely.

Before Money can say his piece, Joel Bryant interupts. "We understand that Brent, but how long until you think this entire feud gets old? These people have been seeing these men duke it out for two years, wouldn't they had have enough? I mean, we potentially could've spent these two years on something else to build these two men."

Both Bryant and Hill go back and forth arguing over what decision is better, how it makes sense, and so on. After awhile Money gets sick of it, but what should he expected, Hill did replace Bryant as head booker after all.

"That's enough guys." Money says, "We'll go over the card and such in a bit. Next week, we'll be focusing on something else." "And we'll probably also be thinking stuff out throughout the week, but for now we're finished."

Money gets up out of his seat and walks out, followed by Bryant and Hill.

Money walks to his office and sits in his chair. Money looks around, and then looks ahead to his TV.

<img alt="6kpDBo3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6kpDBo3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

"This is gonna be quite the ride."

There's a reason for everything isn't it?

Rich Money, better yet known as Paul Parson's reason was because he was sick of it. The nepotism of the Eisens, and USPW's crappy family friendly product didn't help either. Sure the money was nice, but he already had enough money as it is.

Let's refer to him here as Paul. Paul saw the opportunity with TCW, and so he took it. He knew they were falling. He contacted BriCo in hopes of getting their attention, and indeed he did. This lead to him talking with Kyle Rhodes.

Paul was always a convincing guy, especially when he was younger. But let's not ramble on about what Paul once was. What Paul is now is manipulating. He knows it, and refuses to believe it. Paul knows of the nature of TCW, so instead of feeding his ego, he's instead there to actually help them.

He wants to help make the company meaningful, which meant investing so much of his own money into it. Paul wants to turn TCW into a different direction. Some disagree, some agree. It doesn't matter to him. It's his company.

But the real reason to why Paul did it? He was power hungry. After going through years of mistreatment, years of watching it, years of dealing with men that he didn't see fit the job. He decided he could take it, with the most vulnerable company, TCW.

November 2015

Fall out of Thanksgiving Thunder

Paul arrives to the back, tired out from his match with Chris Caulfield. He steps past the gorilla to see long time referee Robbie Sanchez sitting on the crates. Sanchez grabs Paul's attention by talking to him.

"You were off out there Paul. Everything alright?"

"Honestly, it hasn't been right Robbie."

"I'm not feeling it anymore. And if I'm honest with you, I think I'm losing my passion for wrestling. I don't think I can keep doing this anymore."

"It's not the same Robbie. Not as fun as it used to be. I don't really think I can keep going. Maybe it's time for me to hang up the boots."

"Listen Paul, you still have a lot in the tank." Sanchez interupts, "But this is your choice. If you want to retire, then so do it."

Sanchez hops off the crate, "Honestly, I advise you don't. USPW could need you in the future as we build for more stars, but I'm not gonna be one to stop you. That's all I'll say."

Paul nods, "I think i'm gonna ask for my release. My passion for wrestling completely has died, but maybe it'll come back. For now, I need time."

Robbie looks at Paul and sighs, accepting his choice.

"I guess this is a farewell, then."

It was all a lie. Paul sat at his desk. There surely is a reason for everything. And Paul just demonstrated that. Paul got out of his seat, left his office and looked ahead. He watched as the wrestlers were gearing up for the show, as it was beginning any time now.

The match seemed to be going in Bryant's direction, who worked Benson's leg throughout the match. This was truly a breakout match for the Canadian Animals, who put up a solid performance. The Animals felt they had something to prove, against the team who ended their last reign as tag team champions. Although they had the Party's Over set up, the New Wave saw this coming a mile away and got out of it quickly, fighting back. After the New Wave had fought back, this had seemed to be an equal match between these two teams. However, things started turning sour for the Animals as the New Wave worked Edd Stone's shoulder for the duration of the match. The match came to an end after a botched Party's Over attempt, in which Stone couldn't lift Guide up to flip him towards Huggins because of his hurt shoulder. This allowed Scout to pull Huggins out and toss him into the ring post, and give Guide the chance to hit Guided Missile for the victory.

Winner: The New Wave (B- 76)

<img alt="iqFdzeO.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iqFdzeO.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="1RHjszu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/1RHjszu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

We're greeted by Jason Azaria and Kyle Rhodes after the commercial break ends, talking about how good the first two matches we saw were. The champ's theme blasts through the PA boxes, as he walks out with a smug look on his face. Andrews holds the TCW World Championship on his shoulder and walks down. Andrews grips a microphone on his way and gets in the ring.

When Andrews gets in the ring, he goes from dissing the fans to laying into Rocky Golden. Andrews proclaims that Golden lost, multi man match or not, and he doesn't deserve anything at all. Andrews then goes on to say that Golden isn't on his level and should let the real men wrestle.

Andrews claims that he knows that Golden isn't man enough to come to him face to face, because well Golden skipped out of the show! Andrews finishes his promo by saying that he will go on in the history books as the greatest TCW World Champion ever, and there's nothing anyone could do about it, especially Rocky Golden.

Our current champion tosses off the microphone and leaves out the ring to the back to a massive amount of boos. It's quite obvious that we're here in a pro Rocky Golden crowd, who are all mostly against Andrews except for those few smarks on his side. The champion really knows how to generate heat.

(B 80)

<img alt="RtFERF2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RtFERF2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rUFPrh0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rUFPrh0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

We return from the break, treated with a promo from Floyd Goldworthy alongside his client, American Buffalo. Goldworthy insults Ricky Dale Johnson, aka RDJ and dares him to come out.

Buffalo stands there, looking very disgruntled and grins numerous times at the fact of him crushing RDJ, when ever Goldworthy brings it up. However though, those grins and thoughts are short lived, as a man attacks both RDJ and Goldworthy with a kendo stick!

<img alt="ESKrijS.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ESKrijS.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

It's none other than RDJ who emerges from the crowd into a huge pop from the fans. RDJ goes to work, getting revenge on Buffalo by hitting him over the back repeatedly with the kendo stick.

RDJ raises up the kendo stick, with a happy smile on his face. RDJ nods as the "RDJ" chants emerge all around the crowd, and it seems to come to an end with Goldworthy snatches the kendo out of RDJ's hands.

Instead, RDJ hits Goldworthy in the stomach with the kendo stick, and goes to work on both him and Buffalo! Eventually Buffalo is the first one to roll out, and pulls out Goldworthy with him. The two limp off to the back, meanwhile RDJ points the kendo stick to time and celebrates his triumph over Buffalo and Goldworthy.

(B- 73)

<img alt="myLb1hY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/myLb1hY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />VS<img alt="uYJo5Gg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uYJo5Gg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
Marc Speed vs Mighty Mo

Both men, penciled in to be one of those taking part in the future of TCW. The International Champion Marc Speed, who seems to have an easy time when it comes to submitting people had slight difficulty against foremr champion Mighty Mo. Mighty Mo definitely showed fire and determination throughout the match, and even almost scored an upset over Marc Speed. Sadly, a plunging spinebuster was reversed by Speed into a kimura lock. Mo managed to get his way out of the Kimura, and hit the Plunging Spinebuster. It looked to be a victory here for Mo, but Jay Chord ran down, pulling the ref from out of the ring. Chord got in the ring and attacked Mo from behind, laying him in with several punches and kicks. It was obvious here that Chord despised the fact that Mo had a chance at becoming International Champion again before him. This let Speed lock in the cross armbreaker on Mo, and Chord threw the ref back in. Mo had no choice but to tap out, giving Speed the win.

Winner: Marc Speed (B 80)

<img alt="jPfCY6k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jPfCY6k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />VS<img alt="qHVXySB.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qHVXySB.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
Josh Taylor vs Troy Tornado

An interesting clash of characters. The "Bro" Josh Taylor went up against "The Man of the Hour" Troy Tornado in quite a contested match. It looked like Taylor would take an easy win here, his striking easily outmatching Tornado. A failed roundhouse kick attempt benefited Tornado, who could take advantage and attack Taylor from behind. Tornado began to work on the leg of Taylor, locking in numerous leg submissions. Tornado pulled Taylor in for a figure four leg lock on the ring post, and was thought to be the severge changing part of the match. It wasn't over for Taylor though, who continued to fight back against Tornado. A few more errors lead to Taylor to lock in the Butterfly Lock and tap out Tornado.

Winner: Josh Taylor (B- 75)

<img alt="jPfCY6k.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jPfCY6k.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

After the match ends, a tired Josh Taylor stands in the center of the ring. Taylor breathes heavily, nodding at the beat of his theme. The theme is interupted by the laugh of a familiar man. The camera on the titantron shows Wolf Hawkins, sitting backstage.

<img alt="zNGNtya.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/zNGNtya.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Hawkins then insults Taylor and says they are two different men. Hawkins then goes on to say he's sick of this "Bro" schtick and straight up tells Taylor he will kick his *** if he doesn't straighten **** out.

Taylor rolls out of the ring and goes face to face with Hawkins. Hawkins continues to lay into Taylor, but instead of getting a reaction out of him, Taylor just smirks. Taylor fistbumps Hawkins's head and walks off, much to his dismay.

Wolf looks back, increasingly getting angrier at Taylor's laid back attitude. Wolf walks to the back, dropping the microphone, angry.

(B 80)

<img alt="ypKXDR9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ypKXDR9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Bryan Vessey stands in the center of the ring, looking angrier than ever. He paces side to side, waiting for Sammy Bach to come out. Vessey clenches his fists, knowing that Bach is cleared.

Vessey paces, waiting for Bach. It seems to be that his face is starting to get red out of impatience and anger. Vessey walks over and snatches a microphone from a ring worker.

From then on, Vessey starts to insult Bach and challenges him to come out if he's man enough. Then.. A familiar shout is heard, "SHOOOOWTIIIIMEEEE!!!"

There's a loud pop heard from the sold out crowd in V. Thompson Arena. The commentators even scream out themselves, talking about the fact that it's been over 10 years since we've seen Jack Bruce in a TCW ring.

Here he comes! Vessey stands in the center of the ring, very confused, but ready for a challenge. Vessey stands there, with his fists up. It's Matt Hocking! Hocking looks around, holding a microphone with a big smirk on his face. Hocking begins to list off Jack Bruce catchphrases, butchering most of them. Vessey's cold expression on his face doesn't change.

Hocking then goes on to say quite some words about Bryan Vessey, and ends his whole statement with: "You wish Sammy Bach was out here because I'll toss your *** all over this ring!"

Hocking runs in the ring, and is met with a vicious knee by Vessey! Vessey lays in with some brutal stomps on Hocking and drags him up. Vessey pulls Hocking in for a rear naked choke hold, taking out all of the air in Hocking.

Bryan drops Hocking onto his stomach, whose body is now lifeless. Bryan drags up Hocking, preparing for the Vessey Plex, but familiar music plays. It's true! Sammy Bach is back!

<img alt="Dj6fxTa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Dj6fxTa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Bach runs down the ramp into the ring to get revenge on the man who injured him, and starts hitting repeated punches on Vessey. The fairly new champion Andrews wasn't taken to too kindly by the fans tonight in Southern California. As the match went on, Andrews played to his strengths, tiring out RDJ.

This was obviously a pro-RDJ crowd, as fans tried to rally him in. Everytime it looked like he would come back, Andrews stopped that run quickly. Andrews dominated much of the first half of this match, not allowing Johnson to get much moves in.

Eventually, Andrews made an error in trying to end the match early with the Flying Body Press. Johnson hit his signature Leaping Lariat, even though that wasn't enough for a three.

RDJ had the match in his control now, nailing some of his signature maneuevers. RDJ held Andrews up for a Southern Justice, but Andrews reversed with a Small Package. This only landed for a two count.

Both men got to their feet, and laid eachother with multiple forearms. RDJ attempted a lariat, only for Andrews to duck and hit him with a Backstabber. Andrews drags up RDJ by his hair and sends him into the ropes.

This gives Andrews his chance for the win, RDJ elbows Andrews when he lifts him up. RDJ elbows Andrews on the back of the head. Andrews swings at RDJ, who catches him by his waist and it him with a german suplex.

Johnson bridges the german suplex, only just barely getting a two in a half. Johnson gets up and taunts the crowd, "RDJ!" chants filling up the arena. He drags Andrews up, hooking his waist. Johnson grips Andrews, for a Southern Justice! Johnson covers Andrews, with the commentators audibly wondering if this could give RDJ a potential title shot if he beats the champion clean tonight.

The legs are hooked, and this is Johnson's gateway into a potential five time title reign. One! Two! Andrews barely leaves his leg on the rope! RDJ looks over, a bit shocked. RDJ drags Andrews away from the ropes, and drags him up. As a last resort, Andrews rakes the eyes. RDJ turns around holding his eyes, RDJ falls into the ropes potentially blinded.

RDJ turns around to a Stun Gun from Andrews! Johnson bounces off the ropes, holding his throat. Andrews falls to his knees, and quickly covers the Texan legend. Andrews only gets a two count and obviously doesn't look so happy about it.

Andrews gets up, and climbs the top rope. Andrews patiently waits, for RDJ to get up. RDJ is up, and Andrews reaches to the complete top, perched above. However, RDJ leaps up to the middle rope! RDJ repeatedly punches Andrews, over and over.

RDJ hooks the head of Andrews, and grips him by his waistband. Andrews grips at the ropes to keep himself up. RDJ hits Andrews in the waist repeatedly. Andrews lets go of his grip, and RDJ lifts up Andrews..

Superplex off the top rope! Andrews and RDJ roll, in pain. RDJ is first to get up, grabbing Andrews by his hair. RDJ nods, going for another Southern Justice! Andrews slips out, and rolls him into a Small Package. One! Two! Johnson kicks out!

Both are up, and Andrews swings at RDJ. RDJ ducks and punches Andrews. RDJ pulls Andrews in and lifts him up. Andrews slides off and shoves RDJ into the ropes, Stun Gun! RDJ stumbles out of the corner, holding his throat. Andrews bounces off the ropes, and RDJ turns around to a Flying Body Press! Andrews hooks the legs for the cover. One! Two! Three!

Aaron Andrews takes the win tonight in a solid match between him and Ricky Dale Johnson. The man the fans wanted to win didn't win tonight, but who says it's over between these two?

Winner: Aaron Andrews (B- 75)

<img alt="fX2DXqj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/fX2DXqj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Andrews stands in the center of the ring, holding his belt on his shoulder. Andrews limps over to RDJ and begins to badmouth him. Andrews smirks and insults him. Andrews raises up his belt and says that he's better than RDJ.

Andrews poses with his belt, raising his foot on RDJ's chest. Andrews smirks as the fans boo loudly. Andrews screams out insulting jeers at the crowd, and backs away. Andrews is about to leave the ring, but looks over to see RDJ steering.

The champion gets back in the ring and kicks RDJ hard in the head. Andrews knees RDJ hard in the head and continues to stomp him. Andrews raises up his belt and yells at RDJ, calling him worthless.

But then, a familiar music plays! Andrews turns around shocked, and here comes Rocky Golden running down the ring!

<img alt="52L9OH6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/52L9OH6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Golden quickly rolls in, swinging hard at Andrews. Andrews walks to the back, while Golden goes back to aiding RDJ.

We end tonight's show with Golden and RDJ standing side to side while Andrews is walking off to find his car before they can get to him.

(B 78)

Overall Show Rating: B 78
