Boardwalk Wrestling: A

Recommended Posts

Late Thursday afternoon in June, the directors of GNN Total Sports held a board meeting regarding a new venture they are looking to get into.....Wrestling

My father Kevin Williams has been the CEO of GNN Total Sports for over 20 years and has always had a goal of eventually having is own wrestling product on TV.

The last 10 months GNN Total Sports have been looking at various promotions that they could possibly gain control and take to the next level using there network. They looked at Coastal Zone Championship Wrestling, New York City Wrestling and Mid Atlantic Wrestling but nothing ever came from it all.

Then 2 months ago the subject came up in a monthly meeting again and one director suggested that GNN Total Sports create their own promotion, Using the wealth of young talent on the market and the adverting that GNN can do. My father at first was a little worried about this but agreed but they had to find someone who can run the promotion as non of them had any real experience.

They interviewed several people but my father was not impressed with them, He wanted big experience, he wanted a legend. So I did a bit of research myself and came up with the best man for the job.....Sam Strong!!

The legendary Sam Strong is without doubt the most iconic and successful wrestler of his generation and is known throughout the world. Although his matches were often terrible, his charisma and look made him a hero to millions and he is still a household name to this day. After a glittering career that saw him dominate the two biggest American promotions of the time, SWF and TCW, for over two decades, Strong retired from active competition in 2005. Shortly afterward he became the owner of USPW and over the following decade established them as a genuine force in American wrestling. He finally retired from the business in 2014.

After showing my father all the information on Sam he agreed that they need to get this man on board.

Sam agreed to meet GNN Total Sports and liked what my fathers team put towards him. But Sam had some conditions of his own

:Sam wanted Full control Of the promotion

:Sam wanted the promotion to be based in Las Vegas

:Sam wanted the Promotion to great wrestling and great characters

The biggest request that Sam asked for was that he and the wrestlers he signed to written deal all got 3 year deals, as this is the the minimum it would take to get anywhere near the top 3.

Other a discussion with the rest of the board GNN Total Sports agreed to Sam Strong Request and within 1 week the first Banners were going up around America.

http://tew.theoneringcircus.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/bwbanner.jpg

August soon approached and The Company was days away from its first show. Over the last several weeks Sam Strong and his backstage team and been coming up with who they want as the first Boardwalk Wrestling Global Champion. And over the nest several weeks we are going to have matches to find a contender.

The first match that has been set up will be a 4 Man Elimination match with the winner going on to the next round. The men in the match are Grandmaster Phunk, Frankie Perez, Greg Black and Bryan Holmes.

Apparently the company will also have a TV Championship named after a sponsor which will be the only Title that is defended every single week!

Not Much has also been said about the roster as they are keeping tight lipped on who they have signed but rumor has it they have quite a bog roster to fit into 1 hour and 30 minutes!
